Where to Find Margs That Give Back in St. Louis and Kansas City | Eater

"Located in the heart of Kansas City’s bustling Crossroads neighborhood, Streetcar Grille & Tavern marries the familiar comforts of a traditional sports bar with the elevated feel and culinary creativity of a gastropub. The restaurant, which takes its name from the streetcar that rolls directly outside its front door, embraces its Kansas City pedigree by incorporating local favorites like J. Rieger whiskey, or the city’s famous burnt ends. This is a food enthusiast’s sports bar, especially for those who enjoy creative takes on traditional mac and cheese (the one topped with burnt ends is a K.C.-inflected masterwork). And for those looking to add a little extra spice to their Astral Tequila, the bar offers a fiery riff on the cocktail, the spicy margarita, served on the rocks and with a Tajin rim. Looking for more margs? Check out these other local bars serving Astral Tequila: Marquee Restaurant; Quintessential Dining & Nightlife; Harpo’s; Paddy O’s; Malinche; Edera; Flamingo Bowl; The Phoenix; Charlie Hoopers; Cliff’s Taphouse; Southside Bar & Grille; Culture X" - Vox Creative

Street Car Grille is a solid spot for a casual bite in Kansas City North. We stopped in for burgers and were not disappointed. We tried the Kingdom Burger and the Current Burger—both were flavorful, juicy, and cooked just right. The toppings were fresh and well-balanced, adding great texture and taste to each bite. For sides, we had fries and a salad. The fries were crisp and golden, a perfect complement to the burgers. The salad was fresh and nicely portioned, a good lighter option to round out the meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it an easy choice for a laid-back lunch or dinner. Service was friendly and efficient. If you're in the area and craving a good burger with no fuss, Street Car Grille is worth a visit.

I'm so happy a place like this exists in the Northland. I have had great service each time I visit. I really enjoy the Union Station burger and the chicken & waffles. The menu has items named after local things, like the KC Current, Union Station and other notable iconic places/teams (after all, it's named after the Street Car!) Lots of TVs with sports playing so this a great place to catch up with your friends while watching your favorite team play. Love having this restaurant downtown and near home now :)

I stopped by today with my mom to get lunch, the service was top notch and I loved the atmosphere!! I saw a sign that they have live music on Friday nights which would be fun to go to! My mom and I had the Union Station burger. I had asked for medium and it was cooked past medium, the burger didn’t have much flavor and didn’t have much chipotle aïoli but the little that it did have was AMAZING! Fries were really flavorful and cooked to perfection. I would come back for the service, atmosphere, and give the food another go. It was good food but needing just a little adjustments. I would recommend for lunch, dinner, or a fun spot to hang out have a drink while watching games, listening to live music or just enjoying the beautiful patio!

Good atmosphere. Snug out of the way spot. Definitely come before 6 for happy hour deals if you want some bargains. The Mon thru Wed specials are good too. Lots of sport screens for your sport fan. We had wings and a burger. I added a happy hour bargain beer. We will be back.

So I stopped in for a quick bite during the week for lunch, but based on what I can bet the place is packed & exciting on a game day. It has a ton of TV’s, a huge bar, tons on tap & great food too!

Enjoyed this relatively new little spot on several occasions now. They have an interesting lineup of special hamburgers that always hit the spot. Fish tacos are great too! Service has been consistently good, as well as the deliciousness of the food. Never really seems to be much of a wait, unless it is later in the evening, or some big sporting event is happening.

Came here for the first time during the Saturday brunch. Highly recommend the fried pickles starter, they were very tasty and perfectly crisp. I had gotten the Love Muffin sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich with a side of potato rounds. Also very tasty and filling. We are looking forward to trying the non-brunch menu on our next visit.

Great atmosphere was excited to try it out. The food was horrible though! Like really bad! The fish and chips was just two frozen mushy fish sticks... they were really bad... the chicken piccata was so over powering neither of us could eat it, mash potatoes were really good. Was so disappointed! Crazy to me theyre charging people that much for two fish sticks....
