Street's Fine Chicken

Whenever I’m in the area, I always make a stop here. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. The biscuits, brussels sprouts, garlic green beans, salads, and fries are my go-to favorites, and you have to make sure you get a side of jalapeño ranch. My husband loves the roasted chicken, especially the crispy skin. We haven’t tried anything we didn’t thoroughly enjoy, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get.

I was really hopeful Street’s food was going to be delicious but it was bland and lacking flavor unfortunately. It wasn’t memorable and I won’t go back. So why 4 stars, because of the friendly staff who went above and beyond, that’s the only reason.

Went as soon as I got back to town and it's just as good as it was a few years ago. Amazing chicken, the deviled eggs are so dangerous, and service was perfect. I really miss living down the road from Streets.

Review based on one dine in experience. Order at the counter restaurant. I thought the pricing was reasonable. The restaurant seemed a little dark in the evening. Just seemed a bit odd choice of lighting for a place where you order at a counter. Brussel sprouts were excellent. Great, fresh biscuit with a honey glaze on top. Chicken was crispy and well seasoned served on a real plate.

Celebrating my daughter's birthday at Street's Fine Chicken, our first time there. You order at the counter, and sit where you want to. There are TVs to watch. It's a nice intimate restaurant. We all ordered the 1/4 chicken and various sides (greens, garlic green beans, whipped mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese). My daughter ordered the pecan pie for desert. The chicken was seasoned well and delicious. So was the greens. The garlic green beans needed more seasoning. The mashed potatoes were creamy and good. Oh, and the honey buttered biscuits were awesome. The pie was good, the crust could have been a bit more flaky. The service was good and prompt. The pricing wasn't bad, about $65 all of us. Even local celebrities eat here; we ran into Shaun Rabb (of channel 4 news).

Stumbled across this place and I’m glad I came in. Scott was beyond amazing, he walked me through the menu, shared his recommendations and made this an amazing experience. I make no exaggeration when I say this place is great! The chicken is so crispy, and the sides.. unreal! I ordered the Brie Mac and Cheese, Black Eyed Peas, and Brussels Sprouts (all of them were bomb) I 10/10 recommend this place. The customer service and food quality are unmatched.

I ordered the chicken fried chicken and was surprised how thin and lightly battered it was. It's been a couple of years since I've been here and it use to be pretty good portion. I get shrinkflation but wow.

I was disappointed. Saw many good reviews of this place on TikTok and finally tried. Maybe today was a bad day. There was a pic of a chicken fried steak in their photos that looked great, but mine was disgusting and looked old. Chicken was okay! Mac and cheese was okay, definitely requested no breadcrumbs. Mashed potatoes, tasted and threw away, smelled liked too much garlic. Waffles were tough, only ate the middle. I don’t love biscuits but tasted these cause they looked good and buttery but no, didn’t like them either. Got it to go. Wasted $40. Maybe wrong location, wrong day, idk. Drove home sad.

Food absolutely delicious! I had pork chop with mac & cheese. Service started out pretty good with a young man, then he switched out with a young lady. This killed the whole vibe because she was not as attentive and very blah. She sat at a table on her phone the whole time. I wanted another drink, but she didn't even return until we were finished eating! At this point, I just decided to leave. I'm usually a good tipper but geez. Needless to say, the place was very cute and cozy for a cold winter night. Great comfort food!-This was Cedar Springs location.

I'm not one that thrives off of red meat. You'll rarely see a big hunk of red meat on my plate...maybe once in the proverbial blue moon. And sometimes, even a good catch of fish doesn't float my boat. But when it comes to chicken, I honestly could eat it most every night, if it's properly prepared. I don't know where my love of chicken came from. Maybe it's because my grandmother often prepared a big cast iron skillet of fried chicken, back in the days when we didn't think about fat and cholesterol clogging up our arteries and dispatching us to an early grave. Or perhaps, my life-long affair with chicken was a result of my encounter with the Colonel himself sitting at the next booth at a KFC when I was five-years-old. These days, my chicken choices are confined to joints that offer roasted chicken or as an integral part of a dish. No fried chicken any longer for me. (The worry about being dispatched to an early grave is now a real worry.) Not too long ago, on a search for roasted chicken, I stumbled across Street's Fine Chicken. While I would have preferred to visit the Cedar Springs location since, I believe, it has table service, I instead opted for quick and easy and called my orders in to the Forest Lane location. The Forest Lane location is a walk-up to the counter and order affair with some casual seating. So, it's not a joint for that big night on the town. (That is, unless you're going to follow your meal with a big night on the town.) To date, my orders, have all been the same...a half roasted chicken and a side of collard greens. (Yes, I can be predictably boring.) So I can't tell you anything about the fried chicken option, and other selections like the pot pie, meat loaf, and chicken fried steak. I've enjoyed my selections; however the last time, the chicken was just a tad too fall-off-the-bone moist for my preference, but it was otherwise flavorful and good. At this point, I'd predict that Street's is going to placed on my hallowed Chicken Rotation List. But next time up, the crystal ball is saying that the next chicken review will be from the Cedar Springs location. Anxious?

The good news is that they are always busy, so the chicken tastes fresh because it just came out of the fryer. The staff is always friendly and patient as there is always someone who has never been ordering and taking too much time :-). The Sin Killer Peri Peri is moist and has a nice kick, too! It comes with a side, I love the collard greens...and a biscuit.

Street's Fine Chicken in Dallas is a fast casual restaurant and serves high quality chicken dishes. It has a sister location off Cedar Springs that offers table service, but this location is more accessible and just as good. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars Atmosphere - Street's Fine Chicken is in a shopping strip off Forest Lane in Dallas. It's your typical fast casual restaurant - there is a dedicated space to stand in line to place an order, there are plenty of tables and seats, and there is a place to grab a drink. 1/2 Star Service - The staff is very friendly. We took time to place our order, and they were very patient and made several recommendations. Once you order, you get a number, and your freshly prepared dishes will be brought out to you. 1 Star. Food - Street's Fine Chicken is good. Really good. I started with their Little Devils. Splashed with Sriracha and jalapeños, these eggs were cute with a kick. Their Chickarones (fried chicken skin with lime) were big and crunchy. I was hoping for a nice dip to come with it, but instead we just used the table hot sauce. I went with the Biscuit Sliders, which comes with one chicken strip biscuit and one egg and bacon biscuit. Tip: Use a fork. I tried to hold the chicken biscuit sammie, but the freshly baked biscuit didn't hold up. It's ok, because it was still delicious. I mixed the crispy, juicy chicken strip with the biscuit and gravy, and my tummy was very happy. The egg and bacon biscuit was also great, but the chicken strip was king. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Honestly, I'm not sure why I don't come more often. Street's Fine Chicken is in a convenient location, the prices are reasonable for what you get, and the food is delicious. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.

I ordered the chicken pot pie. I was really looking forward to it. I brought it home dug in and found more large chunks of potatoes than chicken! I've had several chicken pot pies over the years & don't remember potatoes in the recipe. I was disappointed.

The menu was fun to explore! Lots of choices of what kind of chicken do you want and how do you want it? I selected the 1/4 chicken dark with the maple glazed Brussels sprouts and a biscuit for $8.95. My dining guest chose the 1/4 chicken white and green beans and a biscuit for $9.45. I read that they brine the chicken in herbes de provence. I love cooking with that herb so I was excited to try this chicken. The flavor of the chicken was excellent and it was nice and moist. The Brussels sprouts were excellent as was the biscuit. My only complaint was the amount of chicken I received in my meal. My 1/4 chicken dark was mostly bones! There was hardly any meat on it at all. And for the price of $8.95, did not seem like a good value at all.

I've had food poisoning for two days. I had the meatloaf , greens , macaroni, and the little devils were overly salted. First time trying this location as well. I've eaten from the cedars location multiple times and never became ill.

I try to eat here probably twice a month, generally around 8:30. They advertise they are open until 9:00. Invariably they have all but closed, no chicken, no iced tea. It's absolutely infuriating. If you want to close at 8:30, close at 8:30 and let your patrons know.

Southern cooking at its finest. Yet quick and easy to get in and out with your family. This is the ONLY restaurant my son will Ask to Go Eat there!!! It's that good.

Staff was friendly and service was rather timely. Chicken and waffles were good! Chicken was tender and waffles were soft. Max and cheese was unfortunately bland. Lacked and actual cheese flavor and didn't taste seasoned. Brussel sprouts were okay, they were pretty soft and bitter. Unfortunately there was still food on my plate when I left.

I've been here three times now over the past couple years (yesterday was 3rd visit). Their fried chicken & roasted chicken are both FANTASTIC and extremely well priced. Maybe best bang for your buck in Dallas for high quality fried chicken. Their whipped potatoes & gravy are excellent. The fried chicken is fried to order so you will wait a few minutes while it's frying. It comes out piping hot too. This place definitely rivals Babe's. If you love chicken, you gotta go!

I am yet to try something here that I have not liked. It is all so good! They have a ton of options too! Service can be a bit slow at times but the food always comes out hot and delicious!

Was craving some good fried chicken because lately I've been let down by some of the newest chicken shops in DFW. Luck had me nearby the Forest Lane location, so I ordered a couple of pieces, along with deviled eggs, chickarones, biscuits, brussels, mac & cheese, and bread pudding. Mind you, I was looking for a light snack to go, but everything I spotted on the menu intrigued me, so I ended up with a heavier lunch than planned. Good thing the chicken was "fine": crispy battered, moist and well brined. The deviled eggs were tasty, but pickled just isn't my taste, and these were heavily flavored with pickle juice. I got a heaping portion of chickarones (which surprised me), and glad these were well dusted and seasoned, because the texture just seemed slightly flat and not crisp...maybe I waited too long on the drive to sample them? I was also craving honey butter biscuits, but Street's was just okay, likely because I needed more honey butter sweetness that day. The brussel sprouts were excellent, reminding me that pairing this veggie with maple syrup really makes the dish. Mac & cheese was also good, but perhaps I'm always fond of shells and the brie gave a nice salty punch. Bread pudding was a cold puck in a cup, that didn't soften when microwaved. Whiskey sauce helped a little, but I'm just not a fan of dense, dry bread pudding. Overall, good chicken and some noteworthy sides.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!! Had an urge for some fried chicken tonight. I knew Street's was close by and headed over. Before going in, I checked them out on Yelp and reviewed their menu. I almost missed one of the best fried chicken meals I have ever eaten. There were so many wonderful options on the menu I missed seeing the fried chicken, twice. I was about to just settle with a burger next door, and out of nowhere a pic of a fried chicken meal popped right up. Sure enough, it was from Street's. Took another look at the menu and there was the gold, or should I say "golden" fried chicken I was searching for. Went right in and was in love at first sight. I was only going to order a leg and a thigh but goofed and the words "Double Dark" came out of my mouth without even realizing. Added fries as the side. When Pat brought the order to my table my eyes almost popped out of my head. I then realized I had ordered the Double. My good! (Did have to resort to a take home container, though as the portions were huge) I first went after the biscuit. Wow! The absolute best. Covered in honey butter and crispy on the outside, it was a perfect starter. Next came the chicken. It was still very hot from the fresh preparation. The golden crust was crispy, flavorful, and not an ounce of excess grease. The chicken was wonderfully cooked. Just right and seasoned perfectly. It must have been the 24-hour brine marinade. Loving it. I had full intention of the to go box for the second piece and that didn't completely happen. Just had to have the other thigh. The food was just so good. I did manage to save the second leg for later. The fries were good, and I think I'm gonna try either the Brie Mac and Cheese, mashed potatoes, or Black eyed peas on my next visit. (Yes, there will definitely be a second visit!) The icing on the cake is the above and beyond service from Pat. I truly value extreme ownership in every undertaking. For all I knew by Pat's demeanor and professionalism, he could have been the GM or Owner. The food was excellent, but the real reason I will be a frequent customer is because of the way Pat welcomed and treated me. If Yelp would allow 100 stars, Street's Chicken earned 125 stars tonight.

My wife and I have visited this restaurant for the first time today. I had a chicken sandwich crispy, with a side of fries. The slaw on top of the chicken sandwich was absolutely magnificent. It was premium chicken and it tasted great. I also got a side of collard greens, and they were fabulous as well. My wife had the chicken pot pie and it looked like mom's home cooking. It was delicious. I am so glad I stumbled by this place on my day out shopping. It is worth the trip. Check it out. They also serve mimosas and other adult beverages. Pretty cool place.counter service nice and easy.

Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It's so big you can share it! Service and ambiance are good at both locations. I wish there were more locations but I like that they aren't a chain restaurant.

Wanted to get brunch but it was a couple hours waiting so came here. It was really good chicken and it was hot and steaming. I got the chicken and mash potatoes and a biscuit. My sister got the chicken sandwich with fries. My brother got the country fried chicken/steak with fries. There's plenty of seats.

Ordered curbside pick up, so no comments on the ambience. The dark fried chicken option was pretty good. Chicken was crispy golden brown and juicy inside. My only complaint was it had a slight honey flavor to the skin. Others may like that, just not my cup of tea. The apple coleslaw was a nice addition and a very good biscuit comes with. The highlight were the fried green tomatoes. Amazing!

Wow. This place is delicious! I am a sucker for a good fried chicken sandwich, and this place has one of the best I've ever had! It's perfectly seasoned and slightly spicy. I added havarti cheese and it was so so good. The fries are also crispy and seasoned well! 10/10! I can't wait to go back and try other things. I don't think you can go wrong with anything there!

The chicken is always perfect. The sides are all great, especially the Mac and cheese, gravy, and biscuits. I'll avoid getting the fries to go again, but they're great if eating there.

I took a chance and ordered the roast chicken, and it was the best I have ever eaten. Perfectly seasoned and moist with crispy skin. I think we make an excellent roast chicken at home but I'm afraid Street's put the schoolin' on us.

Called in for a to go order of chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes with extra gravy on Saturday and this is what I got when I open my food at home one tiny container of gravy for all this! They clearly don't care how to go order leave I'm sure this wouldn't happen while dining in.

Very good, crunchy fried chicken. We came for lunch on a Saturday and it was moderately busy. That being said, very nice service (order from the counter) and the food was brought out quickly. We had the crispy chicken sandwich (pictured), hen house salad, and fried half bird. Overall, great place with good food and we'll be back.

Amazing! Best fried chicken ever. I was giggling - literally happy laughter after the first bite. Worth going out of you way for! Cute white wainscoting vibe with colorful chicken portraits and paintings made by chickens (best not to think about that too much - my son asked "are we eating the artists?"). We were seated right away and food came out quickly. The 8 year old did not like the high brow mac and cheese - only request is they add a no brie kids version to the menu.

Yelpsters!!! What's going on?! From the reviews I expected this bomb a$$ chicken but I got some meh at best. Standing in line I asked a lady about the food and she raved as well but maybe our taste buds were off but this wasn't what's up. We walked in and it's a comfy little atmosphere - we were greeted and told the guy taking orders this was our first time. We order a kids meal with the chicken sandwich and a la carte fir the chicken, sides, etc. The jicama salad that I was looking forward to had big slivers of onion in it even after I asked if it had onions in it and being told no. The sandwich was big for a kids portion but since when do we not season our chicken? The Mac & cheese was another thing I was excited about (as im a Mac and cheese snob) however one bite and I was pushing that to the side. For the cost of the food I was expecting more but honestly I could have gotten better at a chain restaurant that sells honey butter biscuits. Thanks for the experience, but I won't be making that trip again any time soon.

Honestly, pretty disappointed at the chicken. It wasn't bad, but from all the press about it I was expecting much more. Average food. The people were super friendly. Decor is average as well.

It's was just OK, wouldn't go out of my way for this one. It's deli counter style ordering, then they bring your meal to you. I had the Peri Peri chicken breast. It was a small helping for me and over marinated. Slaw was good and I just had a nibble of the biscuit but it was tasty.

This used to be one of my favorite places but each and EVERY time I come, the food quality and customer services keeps declining. Tonight the order wasn't right, the chicken was over cooked, fries cold and over cooked. I won't be back and it's a shame but being a business owner, this business can't stay open with these low service and food quality levels.

This was my first time trying after reading reviews. I got my order to go. The chicken strips and deviled eggs were okay. I ordered a side of Brussel sprouts, but they were not in my bag, even after the employee assured me that my order was complete. I did call to let them know of the problem, but i live a ways from the restaurant and did not wish to return I may try again, but I will check all containers to make sure I have everything I paid for.

We went to the other location (Cedar Springs) because we really wanted the chicken and waffles. They did not have the brunch menu available...my wife, best friend and I were very disappointed because we caught an Uber from the airport just to try their chicken and waffles. So, what did we do? We called ahead spoke with the manager "James" to confirm they had brunch. We caught another Uber to the forest lane location after speaking with the James. When we arrived the setup was very different but we did not care. The staff were warm and welcoming. We ordered three chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, mimosas, and macaroons sandwiches. The fried chicken was unbelievably delicious!!! The crispness of the chicken skin, flavor and tenderness was worth the extra Uber rides. We're sitting in the back of our Uber now heading to the airport thinking of when the next time we'll return for some chicken and waffles!! Thank you James and your staff for an amazing experience!!!

My family and I were excited to go since it's been so long since we visited the establishment. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Food didn't have much flavor. Ultimately, we should've took it as a sign when no one was inside. Maybe we'll just visit the other location from now on.

I just moved from Maryland and was craving fried chicken. This place popped up on yelp. I ordered online and picked it up in store. There was no line but the dining room was fairly full. I ordered 2 drumsticks, Chickarones, sautéed green beans, mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese. Everything was ready when I got there. I'll start with the bad. Honestly I wasn't a fan of the Mac n cheese; it needed more flavor. Everything else was AMAZING!!!! The chicken was crunchy and seasoned well just the right amount of grease. There was more than just salt and pepper. The Chickarones were great! I've never had them before but the lime and chili salt topped it off just right. Their mashed potatoes are my new favorite out of any restaurant I've ever been to (they have skins in it if it matters to you). They're so buttery! They also come with white gravy. The sautéed green beans were alright, they needed a little salt or something but I'd get them again. All and all, I think this is the only place I want to get fried chicken from now on. Super glad I stopped in!

Tried this location a second time and I'm so happy that I did. This spot feels like home. The chicken is seasoned better than any chicken place I have ever dined at. Did not care for the greens this time around due to them tasting gridy (like the texture of dirt) I figured they weren't cleaned properly. But the big sugar cookie was buttery and tasty. I had to go back for more deviled eggs, those little joints are addictive.

Some of the best fried food in town. Can't really expect the best service at a place with no waiters. Pro tip, if you are into drumsticks make sure to just order the double dark instead of a la carte items.

Nice location. Great and clean establishment. Restrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and kind. They have lots of dipping sauces to choose from. The food was great. Pricing and portions were good. I will be back when visiting Dallas again.

Very good chicken! I went for lunch last week and I don't have any regrets. I wanted to try both the fried and grilled chicken so they were very accommodating and allowed me to get a leg quarter of each. Both were flavorful but I think I like the fried better but if they let me I will do the combo every time. My greens were really good, no cans here and the devil eggs are very flavorful. They will see me again soon as I can't wait to try the chicken fried chicken.

Extremely satisfied. It's our second time here and our goal is to try everything! I got the chicken pot pie which is delicious and HUGE! Great customer service as well. It's a bit of a drive for us to get here but totally worth it!

Listen up! Street's is one of our go-go's and with good reason. It's consistently fresh and tasty, and has enough variety on the menu to beat out the average chicken place. It's casual but delightful. The sides are all good. No duds. Their staff at both locations is friendly and accommodating. If it's your first time, the tenders are the way to go!! Don't forget to try a few of their sauce flavors - we love the maple dijon and ranch!

Extremely friendly people work at this location; the chicken both fried and roasted is quite tasty however I have found that my side dish of collard greens is always way too salty. They obviously add salt to the product even though they also add actual pork to the mixture as well. I had to throw my recent order away do to it's extremely high sodium content. And yet my wife's green beans were seasoned to perfection with just a hint of salt. Come on y'all, tone down the sodium if you're gonna add salted pork to the product and like any good chef knows.....frequently taste your dish to ensure that it is properly seasoned.

Great food and fantastic staff - what more could you want? My family dined in last night and ordered a variety of entrees. Food was freshly prepared, piping hot, and had bold flavor. Very good! At the end of dinner, my small kiddo discovered he had lost a charm on his crocs (I'm not proud to type that, but it is the truth). The staff helped us look for said "treasure" but it was nowhere to be found. At their suggestion, as child was on the verge of a meltdown, I left my name and number. They just called and found the missing croc charm! Really thoughtful and above-and-beyond service plus great food that pleases the family. Needless to say, that combo makes me a fan. Can't wait to return and support Street's with my dollars.

this place isn't terrible.. i wouldn't go out of my way to get it again, unless it was for the biscuits. mac and cheese: no flavor, i wouldn't order this again. didn't really taste like there was any cheese -- not very good chili oil chicken and waffles: this was good! and spicy. the waffle is soft, which i prefer! pretty good option. biscuit: tender, soft and buttery. very, very good! not dry at all. maple Brussel sprouts: they were also OK. still had a slight bitter taste, not too bad. i think it'd taste better with bacon! maple taste was not overwhelming at all.

Sadly the service has gone downhill at the Forest Ln location. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because fried chicken is good. Missing items, wrong information given, just to name a few issues we've had. If you're craving fried chicken and order take out, this is a fine choice. I do not recommend dining in and there is a good reason on a Friday evening there are only 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant.

The food at this company is always good but the service at this location was not. The chicken is crisp and juicy and macaroni is amazing . I usually eat at the one on cedar springs and they impress me every time but this one they messed up my order and tried to argue with me about it , food came out after others that we ordered before and they were not attentive to the tables. The ambiance is alright , it's cute and would try again just not anytime soon. I just really expected more.

Haven't been able to find a really good fried chicken place in Dallas yet, but this is a good 2nd placer. I got the fried chicken breast, mac and cheese and biscuit. The fried chicken breast was juicy and moist, crunchy and hot. It came out exactly the way you want it. I just wish it was a bit more spicier. The mac and cheese was good, but again, mac and cheese is just mac and cheese. My fiance got the fiery chicken sandwich, which was good, but it needed something else for moisture and to cool off the heat. Maybe an avocado mayo or ranch would work. Overall, really good fried chicken :) keep clucking!

This place was so great. I only waited around 10 minutes for my food and social distancing was enforced. Everyone had to wear masks and sanitizer was everywhere so I felt safe while dining here. Loved the Brie mac and cheese and especially the chicken fried chicken!

The pictures I posted made the food look bomb, huh? NOPE, NOPE, and NOPE!!! Word to the wise, just order the chicken to go and make your sides at home! The chicken was wonderful and the potatoes were good. The greens had a sweet flavor, so I had to add some hot sauce to them to take the sweet flavor away. The Mac and cheese was horrible and had no flavor. Black eyed peas look amazing but they have a chili flavor to them-I've never had chili black eyed peas!! The deviled eggs were the star of the show!!! They were on the thick side but those little devils were amazing!!!

Superb. The employees tonight were so pleasant and kept asking how the food was etc.... The chicken is fabulous. Really enjoyed the biscuit also. The brussel sprouts leave a little to desire but their not bad. Overall great experience and with us from Las Vegas and only here a couple weeks I'm sure we'll be back!!!

This was my first time ordering at this restaurant. I ordered take-out. I had the little devil egg which was nice and spicy. Had to try the chickarones out of curiosity, lol. They were crunchy and lemony but could've used more chile seasoning. The brie mac & cheese was delicious and creamy. Finally, I tried the Sin Killer sandwich. Loved how the brioche bun was lightly sweet. The combination of the baby arugula with the peri peri aioli compliments the chicken breast making it taste a little acidic yet very savory. I enjoyed the meal. Next time I'll try one of the desserts like the ice cream sandwich.

Breakfast today with one of my business partners at @streetsfinechicken We absolutely loved it!!!! We both ordered the Chicken and Waffles and the Little Devil's! For the sides we had the Maple Brussel Sprouts and Brie Mac and Cheese! We learned that the French Brines their Chicken & they take pride in their Chicken having no hormones or antibiotics!
