This place was just ok. Went here on Valentine’s Day and the food was just ok. It wasn’t the worst food I’ve ever had but it wasn’t worth the price in my opinion. We had a Valentine’s Day reservation at 10pm and we were told mid eating that they were going to close at 11pm so no rush but basically hurry up. I rather had spent my money somewhere else for sure. This was just one of the only places available still when I looked for reservations. My original plan was to go to Yvonne’s it was just booked so I came here and I do regret it.

My wife and I dined at this restaurant tonight, as it was conveniently located within our hotel. We started with the Polpette (meatballs) appetizer and then enjoyed the Rigatoni Bolognese and Cavatelli Salsicca for our main courses. The food arrived piping hot and in generous portions; we couldn't finish everything! Although we didn't catch the names of our server and bartender, they were both friendly and attentive. The bartender checked in on us regularly, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. It's evident that the staff genuinely enjoy their work. With another week ahead of us, we look forward to returning and would highly recommend this spot to others.

Google
Strega Italiano Back Bay in Boston is delicious Italian food with a 5 star service. I felt really fancy when I ate here. The server made us feel special. He accommodated the menu when he could to perfect our expectations and experience. They checked in on my group throughout the whole service. My group traditionally started the meal with splitting appetizers. The standout of the meal was the wedding soup. It was super yummy! The soup was enriched with flavorable meatballs, diced up vegetables, and define pasta. I also got the polpette too. The polpette was delicious beef and pork meatballs that were tossed with pomodoro sauce. This appetizers is definitely big enough to split with a few folks. The group got salumie formaggi grand board too. The charcuterie board was customisable to our group's palette of cheses and meat. Everything tasted really fresh and catered to our liking. The bread of table was really delicious too. Cavetelli salsicca was my main dish of the meal. It was a pasta enriched dish with sweet Italian sausage and brocceli rabe. The pasta had a white sauce that wasn't of my liking. Upon requesting, the service was able to swap the white sauce for a new mariana sauce. This accommodation saved the dish for me. The red sauce really highlighted the heat from the sweet Italian sausage. The bathrooms are really clean here too. Overall everything was really maintained ordered. The meal and service were a five star meal that deserves all its attention.

Stopped in for my boy's birthday dinner. Difficult to find parking, outside of going into the parking lot behind the hotel. It's Boston, what else do you expect. The interior of the space is very intimate with very low lighting, outside of the bar at the front. The aesthetic is very much steakhouse vibe and the atmosphere is very much fancy and high-end. The food was good. The octopus was delicious and the oysters don't disappoint. The filet mignon was very good and cooked well with good flavor. I ate the swordfish which was very interesting in flavor. Kind of sweet and tangy, still very good. The standout of the restaurant was/is the service. Too-notch service our server (forgot his name) gave me some of the best service and treatment I've had in a long time. They highlighted the experience for me.

Google
I hope this review turns this restaurant around. The waiter didn't explain any of the items. The runner smelled like weed The cocktails are not properly made (1 overpowering ingredient) The bread was stale and lukewarm The arancini were burnt My plate was spicy (not specified on the menu)

Google
The food was average, nothing surprising. The steak was decent, but the plate wasn’t warm. Nothing else left an impression. The advantage is that it’s very close to the subway station, which is useful during Boston’s winter.

The staffs were super nice and the food was delicious. They found out it was our anniversary and they offered us their signature cake. That was very nice gesture of them and definitely make us feel so welcome and special.

Google
This deserves 6 stars!! The food was absolutely amazing (got the oysters, pasta ragu, and paired it with a red wine, and an espresso martini). The courses were delicious and cooked to perfection. The oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had and the pasta tasted so fresh and flavourful. The espresso martini was made perfectly and they have a unique range of options to choose from (I had the one with amaretto!!! So good) The staff were so lovely and attentive, checking in to bring bread/wine etc. The manager was also so great and organised a last minute table for me. Overall such a positive and enjoyable experience here, would absolutely come again no doubt!!

Yelp
I had previously heard mixed reviews about this restaurant for dinner, so I opted to try their brunch instead. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and had a reservation for 12:45 so they took us right in. However, I don't think we needed a reservation. While the food had good flavor, it unfortunately arrived cold. Overall, the dining experience was average. One standout feature was the mimosa tower, which I found to be a fun and unique touch that sets the place apart from other restaurants in the strip. However, it seems the restaurant is more popular for its atmosphere than its food. The music during brunch was quite loud, making conversation difficult. While this can be enjoyable for a lively dinner setting, it was less ideal for a brunch where people might want to chat and catch up. Unfortunately, the service was not great either. Our waitress only came over twice during the entire meal (to take our order and to drop off the food) and had a somewhat unwelcoming attitude, which made the experience uncomfortable. They were not busy either. As someone who has worked in the service industry, a positive attitude is essential. I would consider returning for drinks with friends if we were in the mood for a lively, club-like vibe. However, I would not return for the food or a regular dinner, which is disappointing because it is one street over from my apartment and convenient for me.

Yelp
The food was so yummy and the vibe of the place was perfect for valentines day. We got the fritto misto, bone in veal milanese, ribeye, and the signature torta dessert. All were really greatly seasoned and not too heavy on the stomach at all. The service was also great as the staff were efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the food. I would definitely come back for a nice night out or a special day! No pictures due to being very hungry unfortunately.

Yelp
Overpriced and Undercooked I am a seasoned traveler. We hosted our team at this location connected to the Hilton Boston Park Plaza. Three things were disappointing. First, inexperienced and poor waiters for the price point. Second, we were told to make an earlier reservation to guarantee seating. The restaurant was nearly empty the entire night. Last and worse, I was served undercooked fish that I sent back after consuming only a small amount. Unfortunately, the food made me seriously ill for two and a half days. Apparently, when I sent the food back the fish must have been put back on the same plate, which was contaminated. No other explanation for how sick I got the same night as I ate at Strega. Worst dining experience in my life!

Yelp
Bartender was great But we sat to eat and the service was delayed we ordered chicken Marsala and it was horrible the chicken was tough and had a bad taste the pasta was not cooked and stuck together in clumps We waited for waiter but had to ask a busboy for parm cheese because waiter was no we're to be found Time for dessert My wife's was good but mine was like eating old fudge and the cappuccino was watery Will never return and would suggest others not yo

Kirtana S.

Yelp
Pricey, but worth the hype. Bread was absolutely delicious and we got three different pastas to try as we were indecisive. My favorite was the gnocchi pasta. I took some home for left overs and ended up eating them that evening itself. I tried all of their mocktails (two options) and they were great.

Tina H.

Yelp
It was a slow, hot night. We enjoyed the tomato carpaccio. It was phenomenal. Seriously - get the tomato carpaccio. We then shared the meatballs with whipped ricotta. The server was attentive. The place was spotless. Again, get the tomato carpaccio.

Kevin W.

Yelp
Service was incredible - owner/manager checking in frequently on some 20 something year olds that were severely underdressed. Great ambiance, good apps and the entrees were quite filling. The baked rigatoni was amazing and had a really nice broil that's perfect for a chilly day. The meatballs were definitely top 5 as well as the pomodoro sauce. My only complaint is the chicken piccata probably is not one of the stronger menu items but it was still pretty tasty and flavorful. Would come back on special occasions for sure!

Linda P.

Yelp
A large group of us had dinner here in the private dining area room. The setting was lovely. The food was delicious. The service was great. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. My starter salad was delicious. I looked around at my colleagues' choices and they all looked delicious. Everyone said their dinners were yummy. The cocktails were good too. Good wine selection. And a nice espresso martini topped off my dinner along with a cannoli. The ambiance is very nice.

Gabriela D.

Yelp
Ambiance was top tier, went for classy work dinner. The service was amazing very attentive. The food was pretty standard upscale Italian. They didn't have many vegetarian options but made me a vegetarian risotto. So accommodating.

Philippe-Antoine B.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere. We were there for a holiday party with a set menu so not representative of the whole menu. Nevertheless, the fish was overcooked and not flavorful. My colleagues had the filet mignon, which I'm told was better. Service was good.

Victor D.

Yelp
Omg!!! Where do i start .... Food: I ordered the NY strip and it was 70% fat. One person ordered the scampi and it was cold. The meatballs were all right. Service: he forgot everything I had asked for. Substitutes, drinks... didn't even get a steak knife ... terrible ... oh and the restaurant was empty ... but they sit us at the only table directly under the ac. Makes sense. To be fair the manager did come over towards the end and asked if we wanted to turn the ac off. I mean it's summer ... we don't want people sweating ... Either way what a terrible experience for a $400 check ... never again

Neeka P.

Yelp
Pretty good. I got the bolognese which was yummy and beautifully prepared. The meatball appetizer was also very good. Nothing amazing for the price.

Rozay F.

Yelp
So yummy and wonderful service! I was visiting my cousin in Boston and we decided to go out for a nice Italian meal. There is definitely no shortage of Italian food in Boston, but I'm glad we chose Strega. While the restaurant was pretty full (on a Tuesday night) we were still able to be seated without a reservation and no wait time. The food was delicious, especially the tomato soup. We were honestly too full for dessert. Recommended !

Yelp
Another bad experience at Strega sadly. Last time (at north end my friend and I were creepily being hit on by the waiter). This time, the waiter spilled drinks ALL OVER my friend's back and their jackets. They did nothing to compensate for the mess besides an apology. The food took long to come over on a slow night where the restaurant was barely half filled. The service was slow and waiters and bus boys expectations were not met. I gave Strega another shot, but this was just a disappointment. Especially with the lack of empathy after spilling drinks on a customer.

Brian G.

Yelp
Ambiance - comfortable with average noise. Service - waiter was very nice, but not very attentive. Every table around us got bread and oil except us. By the time we realized this, our app had arrived so we let it go. Had to wait to get water refilled. This was kind of a pain, but certainly not a dealbreaker. Food - The reason for coming! We got the potato gnocci with pesto and Parmesan and it was sensational. Best pesto I've tasted and I am not normally a fan (I ordered it without reading the description bc another guest raved about it - great call unknown guy!). My wife got the scallop and seabass with saffron rissoto which she loved and I got the swordfish with zucchini and fingerling potatoes in a burr blanc (sp) sauce. Delish! My wife got a choc chip cannoli bc it was her birthday! A thoughtful surprise. The place was a bit pricey, but nothing outrageous for back bay. If you are considering coming here, do it.

Key B.

Yelp
Food was barely edible. Drink orders were wrong; apps were warm-ish (raw bar items should not be warm-ish!). For what they charge, you'd think they'd care more. Don't let its hype fool you; don't waste your time there.

Qingyang H.

Yelp
Nicely decorated, kind staff, but a bit disappointing food. I stayed in the Boston Part Plaza Hotel and this restaurant is next to the hotel lobby so I decided to have a meal in a rainy evening. I ordered Seafood Scampi (spaghetti with mixed seafood) with Scallop as enhancement. The spaghetti was served in a white, creamy sauce, but it was not thick enough or cream enough to stick onto the pasta, so the pasta was kind of flavorless. Shrimp and add-on scallop was sautéed but they were not tender at all - in fact, they were too firm/tough and don't have a fresh flavor.

Tina R.

Yelp
Horrible place. The third string waitstaff was on duty on a Saturday night and quite honestly, there weren't a lot of customers there. We got dinner at Strega with another couple. The husband ordered a sidecar. The server had never heard of it, so the husband described how to make it. What did the server present? A tall glass of cognac. One third of a sidecar. The husband re-explained what a side car is while I looked it up on google. My cosmopolitan tasted like stomach acid and the calamari was disgusting. Bland and lacking in presentation. The wife has food allergies and explained this to the server when she placed her order. Yet, when the order was delivered there were items on her plate she did not order and could not eat. The server then brought out a sidecar apparently made by bartender. This was of course after the husband had been drinking the cognac the restaurant passed off as a sidecar. The husband then turned to his wife and said "Well, you're driving us home tonight". Thank God the wife was not drinking and could drive. I wasn't impressed with the menu as it was basic and boring. I ordered the branzino not realizing it was a bottom-feeding European sea bass. When my meal was delivered a fish carcass with the tail, scales, and skin was buried under three tomatoes and arugula. Apparently the staff were too busy figuring out how to make a side car and did not have time to clean a fish. I took the vegetables off of the revolting carcass and handed it back to the server to take away. The fire alarm kept going off along with a message to evacuate. None of the staff gave us any direction and we had to ask our server as he walked by if we had to evacuate. He said the alarm was from the hotel, not the restaurant. Yet he seemed to be unaware that the restaurant is on the bottom floor of the hotel. Sure enough, firetrucks and firefighters enter the restaurant, but again, none of the staff explain what is going on or provide any direction. Skip Strega and check out Via in Worcester. The staff are knowledgable, the food is fantastic, and the staff understand protocol around food allergies.

Yelp
Overall score: 2.5 Atmosphere/Ambiance 4 Nice casual atmosphere. We came on a Wednesday night at 7PM but there weren't many people. Cleanliness 4 The restaurant is seemingly well maintained. It was dimly lit which makes it harder to critique cleanliness but all in all I felt it was rather clean. I didn't check the restroom. Service 3 The wait staff was very friendly. They will walk you through the menu but we viewed the menu online and had ideas of what we wanted. Once seated we immediately received water and bread. As I mentioned earlier, the restaurant was rather empty but it still took our waiter a while to come to our table. Maybe 7 minutes. The supporting wait staff was on top of everything. We were generous with our tip based on their performance opposed to our waiter's. Food 1 The food was mediocre, especially considering the price point. The best item we received was the octopus. I wish I had stopped there. I didn't prefer the dressing on the tritata salad, it was too sweet to my liking and there was far too much dressing. The fritto misto was ok, I liked the fried zucchini which doesn't say much about the actual seafood. The gnocchi was lackluster. I was hoping for more flavor, but the gnocchi were cooked well. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was actually good. Last but not least we ordered the Italian Paloma and berry whiskey sour. Both drinks were adequate. Long story short, it was a waste of $200

John D.

Yelp
Over it's not bad. Service was good. Ambiance also nice. But food was subpar especially for the price. Just my opinion

Rebecca Y.

Yelp
Appetizer: 1.The new England oyster was melting in my mouth must order!!! 2. snow crab leg is very good! 3. crab cake must order!!! meal : 4. 28 oz. steak I give 4 star, is very good, even though not the best one I've eaten 5. Lobster was ok, not so special

Dana T.

Yelp
My husband's rigatoni was quite good. We ordered the key lime pie for dessert and it was very well done. Unfortunately my bucatini with octopus was very, very disappointing. The bucatini was way undercooked and the octopus was way over cooked. How does that even happen? We took our leftovers home and promptly threw the bucatini in the trash. Service was competent but slow--took a long time to get our drinks. It is very unlikely that we will return.

Melissa Y.

Yelp
I guess they changed their name from Strip by Strega to Italiano. The food was still excellent but what really stood out was the service at the bar. There were a few bartenders on for a busy Saturday night and we were taken care of by all of them. Atmosphere is still gorgeous inside the restaurant. We can't wait to return again! Definitely a place to check out if your in the area. Cheers!!

Guli K.

Yelp
Read as 3.5 stars based on Dine out Boston menu. For a steak house the food and presentation was average. While I can't really complain about the flavor - I did leave feeling underwhelmed for a restaurant based in the Back Bay area. The burrata was served on a slice of tomato with a bunch of basil leaves to the side and balsamic. I've been to casual spots that put a lot more thought and detail to their apps. Asked for medium well steak and while it had good flavor - it came out well done. The chocolate cake might have been my favorite part of the meal. Service was lacking. Our waiter didn't stop by once to ask if the food was ok once it came out. Overall average experience.

Emi H.

Yelp
I came here for restaurant week and had a pleasant experience. The dining room was well spaced apart due to COVID service guidelines so it gave it an intimate feel. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Most importantly, the food was delicious! Burrata - Solid appetizer with unique combination of ingredients. From the creaminess of the burrata and the saltiness of the prosciutto to the sweetness of the roasted peach and freshness of the basil - I was impressed with how everything worked so well together. The balsamic also gave a nice finish to every bite. Filet - The filet was cooked perfectly at medium rare with a nice demi glaze on top. I was a bit confused about the short rib ravioli. It was a bit oily and didn't seem to compliment the rest of the ingredients. Other than that, the steak was delicious and the asparagus was a nice pairing. Cannoli and Tiramisu - I personally liked the tiramisu more than the cannoli. I like how the shards of chocolate balanced out the sweetness of the tiramisu.

Doug H.

Yelp
We met my son's future in-laws for the first time over dinner at Strega in the Plaza. The atmosphere and table were highly conducive for conversation. Service was very good but not great. The food was excellent. Wine list was okay. The physical restaurant is a bit "tired," but that did not affect our overall rating.

Ross P.

Yelp
The server was very attentive but the food was below my expectations. The bolognese did not taste like bolognese. it was pasta in sauce baked in a crock. the caeser salad was just OK but a LOT of dressing. My co-diners were not impressed either. Atmosphere is upscale but the background music was obviously some algorithm choosing music I wouldn't want to eat by. I left wanting to go elsewhere and have a meal.

Janrai G.

Yelp
Came in from a recommendation from my buddy and was not disappointed! Food was great and it was no hassle getting a reservation. The vibe was nice and mobster like. Highly recommended!

Shemesh Y.

Yelp
A weird experience... Atmosphere: families, old business folks, construction workers all sat together st the bar. Staff: didn't pay attention to us AT ALL. They asked us 5 times in 2 minutes what we wanted for drink/ food (and recommended the most expensive dish on the menu, of course). But when right after those were served thet were definitely not iterating attention to us, so it was hard to order a second drink, and harder to get the check... Drink: not bad. Didn't stand out either. Food: tasteless, over cooked sliders (a little mayonnaise would have improved this one! ); very good (though small, I'd recommend adding few veggies to this one) fried oysters. I won't need back soon..

P C.

Yelp
Recently visited the back bay location twice Ambiance is good, but a little dark Service is also good Food here is good and portions are decently sized.

Donna Y.

Yelp
Visited here last night. Had reservations for 7:45 and we were taken right in. The ambiance was dim, and music was r&b and hip hop which I thoroughly enjoyed. We started off with drinks which were delicious and appetizers that consisted of raw oysters and the meatballs! Meatballs were tender and seasoned to perfection and the oysters were great! In regards to entrees, my bf got the my strip which was very good and I got the swordfish. Food was amazing but what really got my attention was the ricotta cheesecake!!!! It was creamy and flavorful with the right amount of tang from the mango and passion fruit sauce. We would definitely visit again, food - drinks and service were top notch.

Stephen M.

Yelp
Excellent wine and cocktail menu. Poor beer selection Had an outstanding steak cooked to perfection and the complementary bread and garlic butter is the best I have had!

Marc U.

Yelp
So we visited Strega again because we enjoyed it about a month ago. This time we were not as pleased. Our appetizer was delivered after our entrees were delivered, the waitress blamed the kitchen and then blamed herself. The food is excellent but the menu is rather limited.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
This is where people go to be seen... beautiful people and a pretty place. I usually visit this bar when I'm back home in Boston. While, it's a Beautiful place, I find the staff and vibe to be very stuck up white people. As a black Woman dining there, I didn't feel the most welcoming or appreciated. The server gave me an attitude because I ordered creme spinach then told her I couldn't have Dairy so it had to be sent back. The bathroom is beautiful. If I go back, I'll just go to bar

Kerry W.

Yelp
We went to Strega on July 5th of this year. It was by far the worst dining in experience we have ever had in Boston. First, they DO NOT have any alcohol except cheap house alcohol. Who wants a $14 martini with well vodka? The waiter was an older man with dark hair, probably in his late 60's. When he came to the table his first words to my wife and I were " you 2 look familiar. You I wouldn't remember, but your wife I would remember" Seriously, his first words out of his mouth and he's inappropriate and rude. I ordered sea bass, which at $42 should be good. Wrong! it was overcooked and dry. On the other dishes, like the ravioli, the sauce had broken and the dish was greasy and tasteless. Not even their sauce was acceptable. And while I thought about not sharing the following detail, I thought future guests might consider this before booking. The waiter had so much dandruff on his shoulders, it looked like it had snowed in July! And his body odor was offensive. THE WORST dining experience in all of BOSTON. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Jad A.

Yelp
This place is good! The staff is friendly is the food is memorable My favorite was the octopus carpaccio, with amazing flavors and super fresh The petite filet was really good, maybe a little salty but other than that it was great The Barolo sauce is the way to go for sure As for the lobster bisque, it was a little too sweet but still yummy

Joe V.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE. TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO NEVER EAT AT STREGA. I only gave 1 star because you have to give something to post. We made reservations with 3 families for a special reunion weekend dinner. Our party waited over 30 minutes for our first round of drinks. A filet mignon, bone in strip steak and chicken dish were all extremely over cooked and not warm when served. Another fish dish was spoiled - 4 of the 9 meals were inedible. The on duty manager was largely absent and only offered us one round of drinks and the fish and chicken credit. She even became confrontational with my friends wife, defending their service while charging us nearly $700 including a mandatory gratuity. We all should have known better when the restaurant was half empty at 7:30 on Friday night. This was one of the worst experiences in any food service environment I have ever had.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Strip has been my best steak so far in Boston and I've had a few. The service was excellent. Friendly, helpful, attentive. Top notch. We got the veal waygu meatballs and the lobster gnocchi to start. Both were excellent. I don't understand the point of having three of anything as a starter, because that doesn't make it easy to split but I'm sure they have a reason. They were delicious. I chose the 14 ounce ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. An excellent cut, zero extra fat on it. Very tasty. For sides, the bacon Brussels sprouts were perfect. Cooked properly, the sprouts were al dente and the caramelized bacon melted nicely to them. Au gratin potatoes were super thin sliced, very cheesy and the leftovers heated up nicely the next day. Sadly, no pictures. The restaurant is quite dark.

Shelli Q.

Yelp
I loved the service almost as much as I loved the food. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Our server seemed to take as much joy in the food he served as we did eating it. We started with the arancini. The three crispy balls are served on a bed of garlic aioli with micro greens. I def prefer the aioli! The scallop risotto was super tasty and I loved the walnut gremolata. It didn't overwhelm the delicate flavor of the scallop or risotto; rather it added a different texture to every bite. My partner had the brick roasted chicken. It was divine. The lemon caper buerre blanc was delicate and not overly acidic which was perfect for her palate. We also ordered a side of truffle fries -- yum! For dessert, I pretended to share an affogato. We are traveling to northern Italy in a few months so I'm focused on their wines. I had a lovely Chianti with the arancini and then switched to a Pinot Grigio with my entree. Both were from the Veneto region and I loved them both. I should add that we didn't have a reservation, but were treated with kindness by the host and seated quite quickly at 7 on a Friday evening.

Anna M.

Yelp
Came here for dine out Boston and was nicely greeted by all of the staff here. I found parking on the street and it wasn't bad on a weekday during dinner time. I ordered the lobster gnocchi, which wasn't a part of the dine out menu. It was very delicious and very nice to have with the starter bread. I like that their bread is warm and soft. The butter was nicely whipped and easy to spread. I ordered the lobster bisque which I wasn't really fan of. It was quite bland and very watery. I've definitely had better from other places. I then got the 8 oz twin filet with mashed potatoes. This dish was delicious and I loved the combination with mashed potatoes instead of their crispy ones. I would recommend it! The chocolate was delicious, with crispy pieces and it came with ice cream. I actually got mine to-go because I couldn't finish my meal. I noticed that when we were asking for the ice cream to-go as well, Mark explained that it would be very messy. We still wanted it to snack on and he didn't seem too pleased with this. I would've given this review one more star but after that, it kind of changed the mood and made it seem like it was an extremely odd request. Overall, staff was very attentive and kind. Food was ok, probably would choose another steakhouse around the area as there are so many.

Brinn A.

Yelp
Stopped by for a late night dinner on a Friday night. Was very happy with how easy it was to get a table. That was the highlight of the night. Started with the meatballs which were very underwhelming. They were pretty mushy and the ricotta was a little too sweet. I had the agnolotti (mushroom and goat cheese) which sounds like a great combo but as you can see from the pictures the presentation could use some work. The rigatoni was pretty bland (same sauce as the meatballs) snd the pasta was definitely undercooked. The staff was very friendly but definitely recommend going somewhere in the north end for any type of Italian.

Natalia G.

Yelp
Went during COVID, social distancing was well into effect and I feel like that contributed to how quiet the place was for a Friday night which was nice for a date night. Our waiter was very attentive and had good recommendations. Went during Dine Out Boston, all the food choices we had were great and the cocktails were well made. Place is pricey outside of restaurant week but I think it's appropriate. Normally it would be hard to find parking in this area but there is a parking garage very nearby, also public transport accessible. Would return for a special occasion or date night.

Yelp
Was between here and Ocean Prime. Honestly wanted to try Ocean Prime more, but we were staying at the W which was closer. I liked the modern and youthful vibe. Our waiter was nice and attentive. We started with delicious bread for the table with seasoned butter. I had to stop myself to leave room for more stuff! We then ordered east coast raw oysters which were awesome. They used dry ice to make the plate smoke which was cool! We both ordered filet mignon and lobster. The filet mignon was amazing. They served it with truffle butter on top. It was buttery and easy to cut. We both weren't fans of the lobster. We sent it back and it still wasn't soft after receiving a new tail. Our waiter was apologetic. We also had a manager and owner come over to us an apologize as well. We also ordered bacon and cider brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. Both sides were good choices. I really liked the mac and cheese. They surprised my husband with a chocolate mousse for his birthday which he enjoyed. I wouldn't let our lobster experience deter you because the other stuff was amazing. If you would like a nice dinner with moderate prices this is for you.

Yelp
I reserved the table on OpenTable - we got to the restaurant for a birthday - 3 of us ordered drinks and the birthday boy asked if he could have pasta with Alfredo sauce one of the waiters said yes no problem- cut to an new waiter came to the table- he was far less accommodating - he opened the bottle of wine poured and put the bottle in front of one of the guest where the plate would have been- then when we had to do our order he said there is no Alfredo sauce pastas and was giving push back- when we said the other waiter said it could be done and to check with the chef he got annoyed snapped his book closed and in a huff left and did not return . we were there for a bit and didn't feel comfortable with him serving our food- decided to cut our losses and we told the first waiter waiter we were leaving. the hostess came AFTER WE PAID FOR THE WINE, and kept making excuses. Needless to say we left- we didn't eat they charged for drinks and one of the waiters is awful. oh and the restaurant cancelled our reservation on OpenTable so I couldn't review how awful it was.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere, food, and service. And one heck of a wine selection. The restaurant is fun, upscale, and lively but also relaxed--a nice way to step out of the bustling Boston streets. A fine menu of staple Italian dishes with some added flair. The one quibble: a party member's in-bone veal Milanese was a bit on the dry side, but other dishes--the chicken piccata, scallop risotto, Cacio e Pepe, and the Fritto Misto and scallop appetizers--were spot-on.

Yelp
Wow Strip by Strega is officially one of my favorite and top recommended restaurants in Boston. Major points for ambiance, service, and of course the great food! I was really nervous the 'Strip' part was more emphasized by some of my friends but this place is definitely tasteful and it's understandable given the market they are targeting the later it gets in the night. To start we got the Burrata & Prosciutto Fava, Veal Wagyu Meatball, and Lobster Gnocchi. The Lobster Gnocchi was by far my favorite and the Meatball was a huge hit at the table. For an entree, I got the Rack of Lamb and it was cooked to perfection. The asparagus and cauliflower were actually my favorite part of this dish though - it was in a nice brothy sauce and very tender. I never enjoyed eating a vegetable so much. If you've got the stomach for it, go for the 28 oz Delmonico steak. It was the best piece of meat ordered all night but that's not to discredit the 14 oz Bone-In Filet. Overall, everything we were served at Strip was amazing. That includes dessert as well - Cheesecake in Passion Fruit Sauce with Mango Sorbet - a tart, refreshing bite. The Sundae was also a showstopper, despite being so full, we still wolfed it down as a table.

Yelp
Dinner was delicious. Pablo was amazing! Ambiance was great, although the music didn't quite fit the theme of the restaurant. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
I called for a reservation for four, and the general manager, Bret Brother, advised where I could park FREE! And he met us at the door, and directed us to the spot. Very accommodating! Two of us are walking challenged, the staff held the door for us! Ok we had mussels in a white, like clam chowder broth. Mussels good size, sauce ok. Under $10. And had a scollop and lobster end other delicacies in a red sauce! Excellent $42. . Had a white bean soup, under $10.excellent Had the best yellow Cream Brulé. Perfect. We had two. Had thin nice breadsticks . Had pasta and sauces, etc very good. Had martini, very good, and ample house Pino noire Total bill with tax $250 or so. Reasonable

Yelp
Had a lovely time and treat at the bar! Great cocktails and oysters! Bartender was tops! Made reservation at the Seaport instead of Back Bay so they canceled my points on Open Table, it was 5:00 so no issue. Server was attentive but the pasta wasn't cooked enough! Had to send it back! My husband's wasn't either. Sorry, but not cooking the pasta enough, really! We won't go back here or the Seaport!
