Pretty good gallery. Parker who works desk can use some gentle parenting on how to treat people less fortunate than him. Aside from that, pretty good for sight seeing.

Lauren has been very helpful in our journey for very specific art. The gallery itself is modern, minimalist and classy. These are our first two purchases. We love them! They are by Maurice Nespor, the man who designed our house. How appropriate is that?

Wonderful gallery! Turkey Stremmel gave me a gracious and interesting tour of the gallery. Would highly recommend if you are an art lover who finds themselves in Reno.

I'll have to start with how amazingly comfortable Parker Stremmel made it when I inquired about a painting I was looking for. I have to emphasize "inquire" because how he treated me without thinking I would eventually purchase the painting was unintimidating, not judgmental, and even exceptionally cordial. This was all through a phone call and emails. Understand that this painting was fairly in high demand, and he could easily just treat me as a "number". But he took the time to have a conversation about the artist, the artwork, and the expectations of what I was looking for BEFORE even having anything on hand for me to consider. His email replies were always the same day or the day after. With much appreciation and excitement, he was able to pull through with what I was looking for; and I became a lucky customer of Stremmel Gallery. I look forward to working with Parker again in the future!

A nice space. Not too large but they have very tall walls for hanging larger scale works. When we were there they had two artists represented that I have not seen before. The works seemed high quality and the prices were on the medium to high side.

Clean, spare, quality art work for viewing and sale,and friendly staff. Original art sells between $500 and $18,000. Rarely are prints offered, but occasionally something special prompts such. In-house framing available, but most artists frame their own for display. Mostly paintings and sculpture. The building itself is a worthwhile view, having earned an architectural award upon completion. Lower level for viewing, upper level for private business. Hosts artist "meet and greets", new exhibition each month. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Currently active and popular artists, both local and other. Small but not insignificant. No parking. In a mixed area of Reno.

Stremmel Gallery boasts of hosting the Coeur d' alene art auction which has netted over 230 million in the last 10 years. Given the notoriety of this event and the quality of work, we thought it would be wonderful to attend with grandchildren. Reno is after all working to develop a reputation as a family friendly art destination. What a shock to find out that this local gallery would charge $90 for a person to view the art. Apparently the millions made from buyer's premiums needs to be supplemented by exorbitant attendance fees that bar average local families from attending and perpetuate the belief that art is for the elite. .

1st of all, they have the cutest greeter, named TJ, she gives you a welcoming feeling you don't get at a lot of galleries. The owner Turkey, (yes that's her name), is very nice & super knowledgeable. She gives you a lot of background on the artists she displays. The gallery has works of verious types & mediums, though not overly full of pieces they are displayed so you aren't overwhelmed.

What can I add to the conversation.... As a long time Nevada resident I continue to enjoy Stremmel Galleries contributions to our amazing community art scene. The current auction at GSR is stunning and I was privileged to capture a moment in time with the lovely collection. A once in a lifetime opportunity to see these beautiful works of art before they find a home in a private collection.

This is a great gallery. Most of the work is beyond my price range, but I like the mix and it has exposed me to artists that I would not have otherwise known about. The staff here are always cordial and allow you to wander and look at your leisure without hovering. I always feel welcome here. Ah, maybe someday I will have the income to buy a piece or art. Until then, I am happy that they just let me come and look.

Ok, for what it is this gallery is pretty entertaining and there were definitely pieces of highlights in the gallery where I think to myself ... well if I had a million dollars I could spend $4,500 on this small little oil painting here that's very unique. However, most of this gallery was a little on the bare side and it was very, very expensive for the kind of work that they held. I believe this is definitely a fun place to visit, but what it contains looks more like it belongs in a Modern Art museum than a gallery for purchase.

Such a lovely gallery! They had some great paintings of North Beach SF and some beautiful modern art pieces. Also, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about what was on display.

One of the best galleries in the US-Maybe the actual best in the US. Great artists, incredibly designed gallery- minimal style of architecture - the owners Turkey and Peter Stremmel have owned the gallery for 40 years and know how to pick a good artist. Peter and Turkey (real name yes!) are lovely people who know great art, design and architecture. They will make you very welcome if you visit their gallery.

Turkey Stremmel not only runs a beautiful gallery with her husband, but she also restores artwork. I help to maintain a rental home in Truckee, and we had a large painting that became damaged and stained. Turkey and her team did an excellent job of repairing the tear in the canvas, painting over the stain, and cleaning the entire piece. The result is unbelievable! I can't find evidence of the tear, nor the staining. It's almost like it never happened. The painting is once again bright and beautiful.

This is a nice gallery that showcases the lesser known artist and also some more know artists. There is no admission, as it it not a "museum," but a gallery. I liked the different pieces of different medias that they had, none of them were in my taste, but they were definitely worth looking at.
