Google
Funky place to visit. Staff are friendly and attentive, their frozen cocktails were delicious. I recommend watching the movie 'Save Ferris' before visiting the bar. It's just fun! There's a few photo friendly spaces too.

Cha'vette Ware

Google
I recently visited "Save Ferris" in Chicago and had a somewhat mixed experience. The frozen espresso martini I ordered was pretty good, and I had a fun time taking pictures with the quirky props. However, I was surprised that despite it being game day, the bar wasn't busy, yet I still had trouble getting anyone's attention to order food. While the unique drink and photo opportunities were enjoyable, I don't think I'll be returning to anytime soon. There are better bars on the same street that offer superior service and a livelier atmosphere, even on game days.

Google
Fun popup theme of 'Save Ferris' the carne salad was great, it was skirt steak with great flavor. I had Mahi tacos that were good. You can't beat the location. The service was very attentive the day of the Dead and Co. Concert @ Wrigley. Worth a stop...

Kat, Karen and Diana are the best! Make sure to stop by and get a champagne bong with them! Such a fun time watching the Cubs!!

Google
One of the best bars in Wrigley!! Great drink deals, good music, HOT bartenders!! What more could u want!! It’s a B L A S T whenever I go!!

Google
Please bring back the Ferris pop up! My husband and I were there on August 20th after the Cubs game. I returned with my sister on September 9 only to be disappointed that it was gone. Ferris was filmed at our high school and John Hughes the producer graduated with my sister. Thank goodness I took many photos when I went the first time. Bring it back!!

Google
Great time out with friends last night at this place! It was my first time there. Clean establishment and great music. Our waitress was great, super sweet and attentive! We will definitely be visiting this place more often!

Doug Scott

Google
One night layover. Found this gem while looking to watch the UFC. Staff were up beat, friendly and professional. It was clean and the prices we some of the best I had found. My first time to Chicago. Look forward to stopping back. If you get Stephanie as a bartender. You hit the jackpot. Cheers

Kelly S.

Yelp
best place in wrigley hands down! food, service, and vibes are immaculate. diana, pepe, and rogelio are the reason i come back!

Yelp
Previously had been here after a Cubs game in the fall. This was my first time going when then was an active theme going on. Prices were transparent and reasonable after the Cubbies game. Decoration and venue is very nice and scenic. Perfect photo opportunities. On this visit, they were prepping for St. Patrick's Day. It was a very cool set-up, inside and out. I can only imagine the fun that will be taking here shortly. We ordered wings which were very good. We finished the whole basket between two girls and sauce was surprisingly spicy. Yum. For drinks we had three cocktails and my friend had a shot. Shot was nothing special. Our bill $86 was very high for what we got. I didn't like how there was no prices on menu. Also I am confident that our server lied about not having any of the special priced beers. I saw several other patrons with the special priced beer. That shit ain't cute. Don't lie to get the tab high. That shit turned me off and I didn't want to order anything else after it was clear she was lying. So then suddenly the specials beers were available. Do better. I would of probably ordered more expensive cocktails but wanted a cheap beer to go with wings. it really wasn't about the money but integrity. The venue turned into a club as we were leaving. Despite having a banging sound system, a clean bathroom...I was ready to go after the server was lying. All in all, I would go back. Can't wait to see what other pop-up ideas they do. This place is dope, service needs to be better but hopefully my next visit I can give an updated rating. My moscow mule was so good and music was fire so I will give it another try.

Alex S.

Yelp
I was here for a comedy show. The atmosphere for the show was great and the staff here is very attentive and great. Overall you need to keep in mind where this bar is located so you need to lower your expectations quite a bit based on the people the area caters to (drunk cubs fans and 22 year-olds). My absolute biggest complaint is the price of food. The food was not good. It was okay but in any other neighborhood it would absolutely not fly. Even the chain bulldog ale house in Rogers Park had much much better food for a few dollars less. Overall it was passable but I might consider eating somewhere else and just drinking here. The show and the staff was once again incredible.

James T.

Yelp
This place is rocking! Located in Wrigleyville, they blast some epic tunes! We came for lunch before a Cubs game and weren't disappointed. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with their waffle fries and both were tasty. Another table were drinking flights of mimosas and we partied with them for a bit. We had a really good time, I would check this spot out for sure.

Chris P.

Yelp
OMG! What a huge PLEASANT surprise. This place is fantastic. Admittedly, I only picked here because of the name and nostalgia. I'm a big 80's Gen Xer fan. We were going to see the Cubs (visiting from Atlanta) and I just happened to be wearing my Save Ferris shirt. So why not, right?! However, let me say the food and service was A-MAZ-ING. My wife had the BBQ salad. I had Chicken Parm sandwich. Neither of us could finish our food, but it wasn't due to lack of taste. It was delicious. The service was wonderful too. Our server was nice enough to take our photo in Cameron's dad's Ferrari. My only beef was the music was way too loud. Now the setup of the place is more like a bar where you'd go to grab a quick beer before the game starts, but the food and service was on par with any "mid" restaurant (Chili's, Applebee's, Wild Wings, etc.) Give them a try the next time you're at Wrigley. You won't regret it.

Kathleen S.

Yelp
We stopped by to check out the new popup at Stretch. New theme is Ferris Bueller!, (Bueller! Bueller! Bueller!) Save Bueller!! Decor is great with photos, etc, from the Ferris Bueller movie. They even have a young man playing Ferris... ..really looks like Ferris just stepped out of the screen. So many Chicago connections in that movie! Food and drink menus modified to highlight fun moments from the movie. Great food, drinks and service! We will be back!

Solo C.

Yelp
Friendly staff and the loaded tots are the best! Came in from the burbs for the Cubs game today against the Reds. Go cubs go! No Zombie Dust, but they have my second go-to, 312. Goose!

Kathy J.

Yelp
Another review of Stretch referenced a lack of integrity- I second that opinion. We did not eat - just came in for 2 beers. The bar was fairly empty at the time (8 pm on a Saturday). Our bill was over $21 for 2 beers. Very disappointing was the fact that a 20% tip was automatically included but that was not mentioned to us when the bill was presented- which also showed "Suggested Tips" of 20, 25 & 30%. If a bar/restaurant is going to include a tip - that information should be verbally shared with the patrons - ideally before they order, but at the very least it should be pointed out when the bill is presented for payment. There are a lot of other bars and restaurants in Chicago and especially near Wrigley- we'll go somewhere else next time we're in the area.

Ryne D.

Yelp
You know, as a late 30s person out with his partner before the Cubs game, sometimes you don't want to wait in a long line and get completely sloshed. I mean, sometimes you do, but not all the time. Stretch isn't like a laid back lounge or anything like that - it's still a Wrigleyville bar with the music bumping and the drinks flowing. But it is slightly less crazy than some of the large multilevel sports bar/clubs on the block. Pair a fun vibe with lots of early-mid 2000s music, and attendant staff members and you have a good place to chill before the first pitch. There's a big back room if you want an area to dance, but also some tables around if you're lucky enough to grab one. Obviously there are tons of options in the area, but if you don't want to stand in line for half an hour just to be stuck standing and fighting for a spot at the bar, Stretch is a fine place to be.

Morgan R.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. Great service and food! Kat the server was also great to work with.

Mark G.

Yelp
Coming from Austin, TX, Kristina and Claudia made our night so fun. The best music and service. The door guy, Dennis, rocks.

Jessica T.

Yelp
Good bar to go after a game in Wrigley if you are looking for something a little less crazy. (One of the few places without a huge line). Kind of a smaller bar w/ not a lot of seating, be prepared to wait for a table (or get there early!!)

Rachel M.

Yelp
loved this bar and stephanie so much!!best drinks and service, can't wait to go back!! best christmas decor too!

Vicki N.

Yelp
Came in for the Christmas "Elf'd Up" pop-up last month on a Thursday and was really pleased with the experience. The bar really went all-out on festive decoration and menu (i.e.: Buddy's Breakfast Pasta, and festive specialty cocktails). Crowded but not crazy, and with no cover on a Thursday like some of the other Christmas bars, this was a sure hit with our group. Only disappointment is we read about and expected a happy hour / happy hour deals, but it appears it was suspended for the duration of the seasonal pop-up. But $10 for a holiday cocktail and immersive experience was pretty worth it, in my opinion.

Deirdre G.

Yelp
This review is based solely on Elf'd up, rather than the bar as a whole. It could be because we had just left Santa Baby, but Elf'd up lacks in comparison (but there's no cover). Drinks: the special drinks were small, far from worth $12-13. And they were just alright. But the bartender was more interested in talking to his friends than giving us drinks, so maybe he didn't realize the lackluster drinks he was preparing? Environment: Typical Wrigleyville. If you've been before you know what to expect. Crowded, people dancing, a DJ who plays a wide variety of music, mixed crowd of all ages. Staff: It was a busy night, so no one necessarily went out of their way to be helpful. But they did do a good job going around picking up drinks and empty glasses. Overall it's not a must do in Chicago, but it's a fine bar to visit when in the area. I didn't try the food and this entire experience was around 10 pm the day after Christmas. Again it's not as fancy as other Christmas pop up cars in the area BUT they do have large cut outs from the Elf movie so that's a plus!

Chase H.

Yelp
this place is unbelievable! Great tvs and great service..Claudia and Kristina are the best - their music doesn't miss. highly recommend

Ryan S.

Yelp
Attention thirsty people: If you need a drink, as in a really, really big drink, this is the place to go! I never knew I needed a gallon-sized cocktail until I came here. Sure it's $40, and yeah it's mostly ice, but bigger is better! To be responsible drinkers and put down a base before our massive cocktail, we ordered some chips and guac, which were quite tasty. However, as a contrast to the gigantic jar sitting on our table, the portions were pretty skimpy. From the couple of times I've been here, I can say this is one of my preferred Wrigleyville bars, as it's more casual than the loud party atmosphere at most of the others.

Brie G.

Yelp
Wrigleyville's the place to be, especially when the Cubs are playing at home. I stopped by with some friends after an event for drinks. We orders some guacamole ($7) from the late night menu. It was the good stuff, so order with confidence! The guys I was with saw the giant jar drinks (picture a large pickle jar), so naturally they needed one. They regretted the decision as soon as it was brought out since it's a lot for two guys on a Tuesday. They pushed in though, haha. Lots of options for the contents and you can expect it to be around $40. Music was good (DJ) and the crowd picked up after the game. Our waitress was nice and checked on us as often as she should have/could/we needed.

Kristina M.

Yelp
Best time no matter the day of the week! And some of the most underrated food in all of wrigleyville.

Aidan W.

Yelp
If you're looking for a mediocre sports bar, this is the place to go! We tried a few of the appetisers they have here and we were not satisfied. The guacamole had a strange flavor to it and everything else felt like it was straight from the freezer. The atmosphere is fine and the beer is typical. I wouldn't be dying to go again, but I wouldn't be opposed.

Claudia C.

Yelp
This bar is great! They're always playing awesome music and the staff is so nice and friendly! The best spot in wrigley!

Jacquelyn M.

Yelp
Fairly impressed with the food here. Wasn't expecting much besides cheap booze on game day but the food was good, cheap, and huge portions. Pretty sure no one in my group finished their food. And that's all I have to say about that. Jackée

Kevin R.

Yelp
Without a doubt Stretch saved the day after "Lucky's" sandwich shop was clueless. Great food and service. Shout out to the door man who was a real one as well

Tony D.

Yelp
Average bloody Mary. No good garnish if you were looking for that. They do use the Guinness base which is good. No beer back

Julie C.

Yelp
I will not be coming back here. The staff were not kind/attentive. The drinks had little to no alcohol and the food was sub par for the price. I'd say the only good thing is they have partitions in between each table.

Steven P.

Yelp
I don't know much about the rest of the Wrigleyville bar & grills, but I know that I like this one! I came here during a rough Cubs/Yankees. (At least it was rough if you're a Cub fan...) It wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night, but it started to pick up the later things went. My wife and I had a few drinks, plus food so I feel like I can give you a good idea of what to expect. The beer selection is good and they have some fun cocktails. We tried one with bourbon & lemonade. My only issue was that there weren't prices on the menu and I didn't see them listed anywhere. I understand that these places close to Wrigley Field have "event pricing", but should that still be conspicuous? We started with the buffalo shrimp and it was excellent. Lightly fried, two dips on the side, this was a great starter. We also each had a burger. We split the Cortland & the Sheffield. They were huge, cooked well, and had an excellent proportion of toppings/beef/bun. The Cortland come with avocado and it was magnificent. They both were, really. Good luck choosing one! We also had fries and tater tots on the side. They were okay, but not special. There atmosphere was loud, but that's what you'd expect. Our server was great and very fast! Our 2-top table was wobbly, but that was quickly remedied by folding up a comment card. Ironic? Maybe.

Suzannah S.

Yelp
This is my bloody mary holy grail. Thirty two bloody beautiful ounces of tomato-ey goodness that's perfectly peppery and brings me back to life on Saturday/Sunday. The food here is meh with the exception of the fries. This is not my go to place in wrigleyville, but I will always make a special pit stop for a bloody. **one note - sometimes I've come here and the bar is closed during normal operating hours - not sure if a management issue or what but has happened at least twice.

Michele M.

Yelp
Walking up and down Clark Street looking for a place to eat was not easy. There are so many places to choose from. We chose this place because of Yelp. Thanks Yelp. The food and service both were great! I loved the tater tots! They were super light and crispy. Maybe the best I've ever had. The Don wrap was filled with chicken, cucumber, bacon, lettuce, avocado and was so tasty. One of the best things I ate while in Chicago! My husband had the Ryno (chicken club). He said it was really good too.

Hailey F.

Yelp
I love a good Christmas pop up bar so of course I had to stop in here after hearing about Elf'd Up. While I think they did a great job nailing the decor (and I loved the Buddy the Elf impersonator that was running around) it probably isn't the best venue for a pop up bar as it was a little small for the amount of people they were trying to get in. I do love that they had the free cookies at 10pm, and it's also awesome that they do a happy hour with half priced drinks and discounted themed drinks. It definitely sets them apart from other Christmas bars. Worth a stop in if you can go during off peak hours, maybe pass if it's a Fri/Sat night.

Spencer H.

Yelp
Nicest bar staff in Wrigleyville. Lost my phone here one night, the manager got in touch with me and said they had my device. Kindly and patiently held it for me for the day until I could come pick it up. Don't want to deal with the hassle of rude bounces / staff along Clark? Come here.

Sydnee R.

Yelp
Came here with my friend for the Elf'd up pop up and we were EXTREMELY disappointed. The drinks are way over priced and once we finally were able to sit down at a table we sat there for an hour and the server never came to take our food order. Several workers passed by and stared right at us and never said a word. We were so so excited to come here and it was just a huge let down.

Rachel S.

Yelp
I came here a few days ago to check out the 'Elf'd Up' pop up bar. It's a nice space and everything seems really clean for a Wrigley bar. I just left a little disappointed on the Elf front. There was a cutout of Will Ferrel's Elf but not much more of the decor was themed to the movie. It just looked like a really nicely decorated bar for Christmas with an emphasis on elf decor. The menu of drinks/food was more themed to the movie with everything being super sweet. They even had a pasta dish with lucky charms and maple syrup! I hope they do another pop up as I'd come back I just hope they do a little more with the decor to make it feel like a true pop up.

Samir C.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Whoever runs the hiring process is beyond crazy for recruiting that bar girl working around 5pm on Saturday, June 13th. Couldn't even ask a question without rolling eyes and attitude.

David F.

Yelp
My wife, my buddy and I were looking for a place to go after a comedy show in the area was canceled. We're not really bar people to begin with but were looking for a place without a cover and a crazy line of people to get in. Enter, Stretch. My buddy orders a cranberry juice, I order a Pepsi and my wife orders a punch drink she liked. The place was rather loud and it was next to impossible to have a conversation but then again it's Saturday night in Wrigleyville in the summertime. Not too bad of a place.

Halle M.

Yelp
excellent place! They work really hard, and I'm grateful they welcomed me today!

DrBarry R.

Yelp
The doctor is in. Great bar after a Cubs game. Good DJ and excellent service. But alas they call it stretch for a reason, after spending some time here your clothes have to be stretched out

Jenna C.

Yelp
I'm a regular at The Stretch for Michigan State day games, but have yet to experience this bar at night. When you walk in you'll notice how the space "stretches" from the front bar into a back room. My group likes the fact that you can reserve tables ahead of time - this is clutch for big games like the Rose Bowl last year. We also enjoy their $5 mimosa & bloody mary specials during football season. There are tv's everywhere so it's hard to find a bad viewing spot in the whole place. Service is usually friendly and pretty attentive. Get the truffle waffle fries to munch on while watching Sparty crush it - it'll just add to that taste of victory.

Brock G.

Yelp
What a joke! Bartenders don't have a clue what they are doing. Would not recommend this place at all! Stay away if at all possible!

Adriane P.

Yelp
"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before." Mae West Choosing a bar in Wrigleyville on a weekend is a bit of a toss up. It's common knowledge bars in Wrigleyville are an embarrassment of riches. Like a couple hundred in a smallish neighborhood. The deciding factor usually is if they have live music or a dj, if there's specials that tickle your fancy, and if there's a cover. No matter which one you choose you'll be ass to ass and it'll be crazy. These factors or fate led us to The Stretch. We found a hi top right in front by the window for prime people watching inside and outside. The crowd was pretty fun and friendly and definitely got wild. A few were crazy with the dance moves (guy kept boogieing then landing in the splits, 2 guys gave lap dances, one person did the Carleton, one girl trying to dance with me slapped my ass twice). The music wasn't bad. Old faves with current hits. The margarita was blah. We also ordered beer buckets. Service was great. The waitresses were good. Shrewdly, they posted a security guy by the bathrooms lines to make sure people moved along. The door man was a giant as tall as a 7 foot tree (I asked him his height). I heard the food is ok from a yelp pal. So I'd go back to try that or just for weekend night fun.

Kamilah S.

Yelp
My girls and I came here for a birthday celebration and we had a lot of fun, the dj plays great music, the drinks are good and strong and we did not have trouble finding a park on a Friday night in Wrigleyville.

Steph S.

Yelp
Came here for a couple of drinks after not being able to get into the cubs game!!! Anyways stopped in on a Wednesday night. Wasn't crowded obviously but the music was great. Everyone that worked there was very friendly. I think one guy maybe owner? Had his family there. They all were happy having a good time. Which is nice to see. Our waitress was very nice made our drinks on point. I ordered a mojito which I'm not a fan of but this night I was! Overall I really liked everything about this bar.

Josie F.

Yelp
Decided to stop in before the Cubs home opener and was very impressed! Great food and great service! Will definitely be coming back next time I am in town for a game.

Brooke G.

Yelp
Such a great find in Wrigleyville! Coming from the pickiest Nacho eater ever there nachos are delicious! Only thing that would have made them better was if they had salsa and not just pico but it got the job done. We sat at the bar and Ashley took great care of us. She's also the event coordinator if you're ever in need of something for a special event. It's hard these days to sit at a bar and the bartender actually have a conversation with you and not act too "busy". Highly recommend this spot for a quick lunch or some drinks.

Jenny B.

Yelp
I'm still looking for a good bar in Wrigleyville that doesn't overcharge for a draft beer and serve frozen foods. This place is no exception. Atmosphere is decent, location is good, staff is average. The food I had was clearly frozen and reheated. Still looking for my go-to pub. Haven't found it yet.

Robert S.

Yelp
We went in, as it is a Elf Bar for the holidays. It was way to busy, not necessarily a bad thing for the bar, but they need to put some lean practices in place to help the flow. We ended up leaving as it was to difficult to navigate a drink. There was a guy they that looked a lot like Elf from the movie.

Bella O.

Yelp
Good customer service went threw the afternoon their special shots are good food was good especially the onion fries and wings! Will definitely be back!

Tayler J.

Yelp
We love The Stretch! Just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to the staff that accommodated a group of about 25 of us for a birthday party before a Cubs game! Our server (I believe her name was Liz) - was absolutely FANTASTIC! She was on top of everything. Afra was a delight to work with as well as far as getting the reservation set up and having the platters of food I had ordered all ready for us. The food was fantastic and I highly recommend the carne asada quesadillas. Thanks for making a surprise birthday so much fun!

Sophia S.

Yelp
Service- Was okay! The guy at the front checking ID's was friendly. The two bartenders were not...unfriendly? But they didn't give us much customer service, and hardly even a smile. However our bartender was quick and efficient and I do appreciate that. I don't blame them, working in Wrigley can be exhausting in itself, but I would've appreciated a little more friendliness. Food- I was surprised about this one!! I got their house grilled cheese w/ tomatoes and it was incredible! I'm a huge grilled cheese connoisseur myself, and I wasn't expecting anything crazy, but it really was that good! Boyfriend had the wings which he ate in .5 seconds so I think it's safe to say those were good too. Definitely a good place for a brew and bar food if you're ever hanging in Wrigley. Disclaimer- I went on a rainy Monday night during a cubs game and it wasn't very busy at all, but i'm sure it gets wild after games/during the summer.

Olivia C.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place -1stars .this place is worthy of ZERO stars. my boyfriend and I were visiting from North Carolina, and the extremely uneducated doorman excepted my boyfriends ID and then viewed mine and told me mine was fake. I'm 25 years old, and I have NEVER in any state been treated the way I was treated at stretch. the doorman looked at my boyfriends ID which was a REAL and identical NC license compared mine. I even asked the doorman to scan my ID of he didn't think it was real and he told me to get the f*ck back. I will absolutely NEVER recommended this place to even my worst enemy. this was my first trip ever to Chicago and unfortunately I've been left with an extremely sour taste in my mouth due to this bar. the attached picture is the front of the establishment, I've uploaded it in hopes nobody ever makes the same mistake I did by coming here.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Stretch always delivers a great experience when I'm out in wrigleyville. You won't bump into the 22 year olds from Naperville here and they won't charge you $8 for a beer like some of their neighbors. The back area is where I tend to reserve a table to watch a game and they have so many TVs there's not a bad seat in the house. Check out the shot menu if you're looking to celebrate something or if your team is losing and you need something to numb the pain.
