This is by far one of the nicest parts of the market. You can start with a nice cold beer at Brick Lane Brewing on the Peel Street end and then wander along and shop a host of independent artisans operating from within bespoke shipping containers. They offer a variety of locally designed, sourced or produced products including fashion, handbags and purses, vintage, jewellery, tableware and homewares, art, craft, skincare, and books etc.
I was intrigued with the String Bean Alley name and since visiting I've learned that it dates back to 1936 and pays tribute to the laneway where green string beans were once sold.
