Visited for restaurant week dinner and I was very much pleasantly surprised, because this is probably one of the best meals that I've had in such a long time! Pros: -Very nice, welcoming host upon arrival & coat check. -Food and drinks arrived fairly quickly upon ordering. -All dishes were for the most part delicious and very generous in portion size-even the bread basket was great (my fave was the pretzel bread). I had the Mushroom Gnocchi (well seasoned, loved the garlic punch), Chicken Paillard (delicious, no notes), and Chocolate Cake (super decadent, I had left overs for 2 days lol). -Servers/Bussers working the floor were all super pleasant, attentive and helpful. Cons: -Our waiter Keith left much to be desired. He was somewhat dismissive and barely looked at you in the face when speaking, it was bizarre. He also seemed annoyed when we advised we wanted to partake in restaurant week menu (even though most tables around us were) and he didnt even give us that menu, we had to look it up on our phones. Maybe just an off day but he perked up immediately when it was bill/tip time. -The blood orange Cosmo while tasty was pretty sweet and didnt pack a punch like cosmos normally do. -The goose fat potatoes were underwhelming- they tasted like a very simple hashbrown. -Tight seating and the ladies dining at the table to our right were way over their limit but at least they were funny! Overall great experience and would return. Even with rest week menu, with drinks, tax, tip our bill for two was $235. So anticipate to spend here but its very much worth it.

Strip House is a true NYC classic. It has that old school steakhouse feel that never goes out of style. The staff is always friendly and professional, which makes the experience even better every time. The 20-layer chocolate cake is a must-order. It's absolutely huge easily enough for 3-4 people to share. It's very moist, rich, and indulgent without being dry at all. Definitely one of the standout desserts in the city. The baked Alaska is a fun presentation and makes for a nice show at the table, but flavor wise it's pretty basic compared to the chocolate cake. Overall, a solid, dependable steakhouse that delivers both on atmosphere and dessert. Definitely worth visiting if you want that classic New York steakhouse experience

Strip House Steakhouse is a sultry, vintage-style spot known for prime cuts and that unforgettable 24-layer chocolate cake 🍰 that has become a must-order dessert I got the New York Strip ($75) and Filet Mignon ($79) which were beautifully seared, and paired perfectly with the black truffle creamed spinach ($19) 🍄‍🟫 truffle really hit the spot as it was so flavorful 🫶🏻 The steak is honestly not the best I have had in the city. Filet mignon is very chewy. New York strip is tender but only for our first few bites 🥩 We ended the night with the 24-layer chocolate cake which is ginormous ✨ it is really densed, creamy smooth, and lives up the hype. Not the cheapest, but absolutely a treat if you are into classic steakhouse decadence with a dessert to remember.

Strip House delivers a classic steakhouse experience with a refined, modern touch. The filet mignon was beautifully seared and juicy. Their signature thick-cut bacon impressed with its smoky, sweet glaze and crisp-yet-tender texture. The menu also shines beyond steak, with jumbo lump crab cakes, miso sea bass, and a New York cheesecake that finishes the meal on a high note. We had a fantastic dinner at Striphouse. Everything was great. Waiter was a true old school professional waiter, apps were spot on. The cocktail sauce had a great kick to it. We both had the Kansas City strip which was cooked perfectly. We were full, so we skipped dessert, but I'd certainly come back here again.

It was our first time going to a steakhouse so we weren’t sure how a medium rare steak looked so we ate a few pieces but started to question was this normal. We asked the manager and they said it was but sent it back to the kitchen for us as we wanted it more cooked, which we really much appreciated. But we found it weird because it wasn’t just us who sent our steak back. The table next to us sent it back because theirs were also red. The service was good but I wouldn’t recommend it because of how they cook their steak and how much you spend for a piece of uncooked steak.

The ribeye with the black pepper crust was outstanding. The Gnocchi "Carbonara" was one of the best sides I have had at a steakhouse. The margarita was great too. The reddish lighting and atmosphere was definitely an old school touch that I liked. The service was definitely great. The 27 layer chocolate cake tastes like a much better version of an entenmann's chocolate fudge iced cake. Over all a great experience I would recommend.

Went here post Valentine's day. The as expected the steak here is great, well cut, grilled, and crusted with pepper. Our server took care of us. The decorations here is suitable for Valentine's day

Visiting New York I went here to celebrate my birthday! This place was everything from the service to the food. Very clean! I left with cute pics, good laughs and a full belly! Very hard to choose what was my favorite but I will say this was THE BEST tuna tartare that I have ever had! When I visit NY again I will be back!

Came to the city for the day and decided to try the strip house as the reviews were pretty good. The ambiance is decidedly cool with a retro feel. Relaxed yet refined. Service was stellar. Attentive and friendly. We ordered steaks and sides All were very good. Cooked to order and tasty. The sides were pretty good as well.

Strip House Downtown was fantastic! Our group of 10 included a few members with dietary allergies, and the service was impeccable. The server was attentive and thorough, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring the kitchen triple-checked ingredients. A standout moment was when they sent out a round of champagne to celebrate an engagement in our group--a kind and unexpected gesture. The host had overheard us talking about it and added the note to the reservation, which we really appreciated. As for the food, it was incredible. The porterhouse for two was more than enough for three people, and every side dish we ordered was spot-on. While it may seem like a small thing, the French fries were absolutely amazing--crisp, flavorful, and unforgettable. Honestly, every dish was outstanding. The atmosphere was also a highlight. It had an upscale yet relaxed vibe, and the added bonus of having a speakeasy next door made for the perfect pre-dinner drink spot. Highly recommend Strip House Downtown for exceptional food, service, and an overall memorable dining experience.

I have been to so many steakhouses in New York City, and I have my favorites, so when some friends invited me to join them, I was ecstatic! I love trying a new steakhouse and reading the reviews about this one, I was stoked to try it. I walked in and was immediately taken with the old-school New York charm, red leather, dim red lighting, and white linen tablecloths! The walls were adorned with Hollywood-style photos as well as some other eclectic artwork. I felt like I had stepped back in time. I met my friends at the bar where I ordered a very dirty Martini and it was very excellent. After visiting and catching up, we were shown to our table and given menus and the wine list. Our host ordered wine and a few starters, namely the Seafood Plateau, as well as some other starters. I ordered a Baby Iceberg Wedge, a NY Strip, and a Lobster Tail. The starters were fantastic, the oysters tasty, the crab and lobster divine, and we all fought over the last shrimp! My salad was very good, but when my steak and lobster tail arrived- ooh la la! My steak was amazing, cooked perfectly and so full of flavor. My lobster tail was huge and tasty and tender- like butter. The wine was perfect, and the company even better. Even though we were all pretty full, we HAD to try dessert, so we ordered a Key Lime Pie and the Chocolate cake to share. I must be honest here- I am a Florida boy and am very protective of Key Lime Pie, and I always say no one can make a Key Like Pie like they do at Joe's Stone Crab in Miami Beach- but I now stand corrected as this is one of the best tasting Key Lime Pies I have ever had outside of Florida- even my own kitchen! All in all, the entire night was spectacular- the food, the service, the ambiance and the company of friends. I will definitely come back here next time I am in New York. Highly recommended!

Came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a great time - the food is great, everything was cooked well, and by the end of the meal, we couldn't finish another bite even if we wanted to. Must haves are the 1000 layer goose fat potatoes, roasted bacon with the honey mustard and any cut of steak (we got the tomahawk to share). Chocolate cake if you have room. Classic steakhouse with great service, intimate vibes.

Right off the bat, Strip Steakhouse exudes an intimate vibe that's perfect for a cozy night out. I loved the interior design and comfortable seating, which added to the overall ambiance. The food was amazing, and the staff were courteous and attentive, making the experience even better. We started with the tuna tartare and bacon strips as appetizers--both were excellent, with the tartare being incredibly fresh. For mains, we had the filet mignon and mac and cheese, and I have no complaints--both dishes were exceptionally delicious. I highly recommend Strip Steakhouse for a good dinner date or any special occasion. It's a spot that delivers on both atmosphere and flavor.

This is a steakhouse with personality. The decor with its red furniture and speakeasy theme is hard not to like. The steaks have a fair amount of pepper which I loved with the charred outside. Staff are efficient and accommodating some more talkative than others. The service level was good and what you expect for this higher end steak house.

5 stars because I have truly nothing negative to say about my dinner here! We didn't have reservations but easily got bar seats. The bartender was fantastic! Loved the martinis. We got the seafood plateau (half) which was very good and a lot of seafood. We shared the steak special of the night - I believe it was a 40 day aged bone-in new york strip and the truffle creamed spinach on the side. Both were excellent! Love this spot.

Upscale steakhouse with some great cuts! Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. Service could have been a bit better, but they were busy so they did as much as they could! Would definitely return and try some additional cuts / sides. Great interior really feels like a classic steakhouse.

The steak and sides were great but I'm here to warn you about the 24 layer chocolate cake. You see it all over Yelp and you'll see people order it at the restaurant. It's a complete trap. The cake is absolutely mediocre. The actual cake is super dry and dense and makes for a horrible cake. The chocolate was unremarkable as well. Overall it's just a dry and hard cake. A much better one can be acquired from a local grocery store which should not be the case.

Beautiful ambiance. Dark, dim lighting with a red theme. Absolutely loved the interior. Service was also prompt and friendly. We were able to walk in as a party of two with no reservation on a Sunday at 5pm. It was mostly empty the entire time we were there. There's another midtown location but this is the original. Food was fine but nothing to write home about. My husband liked the bone in ribeye and I enjoyed the sea bass, which was cooked well but the sauce was a little too thick and creamy, which became off putting. They use very, very coarse pepper, which my husband didn't mind but bothered me (both on our caesar salad and the steak). They kindly brought out the caesar salad on two plates after asking if we were sharing, which was a very nice touch. The salad was fine but wish it were a higher quality lettuce, like little gem. For sides, we got the baked potato and creamed spinach, both of which were also fine. Over all, great ambiance and service but found the food pretty average. Not sure I would return given the amazing steakhouse options in NYC.

Steak was good, fries can be extra crispy, salad feel like store bought packet, vibe is fun... red all over.

Best steak I have ever had. I dare to even say best in the city. And I dare you to find a better steak. Worth every penny. Service is attentive and entertaining! Wish I had got the servers name. Ambiance is low key. And perfect for all occasions. If you don't like the crowd around you at the upstairs dining. Ask to go downstairs in the speakeasy.

We had a beautiful pepper crusted tomahawk. House cured bacon was tender and fragrant, accompanied by sweet pickle chips and honey mustard to cut through the fat. NY cheesecake was cheesy and not too sweet. Delicious! I like the interior's old school feel, even though the red lighting makes photo taking a bit tricky. Strip has a solid steakhouse menu and nice BTG options. Service was good too. I saw a gentleman get a friendly reminder to remove his baseball cap before being seated lol

Had a nice dinner on a busy Friday evening at the Strip House Steakhouse Downtown. We were there during NYC Restaurant Week and ordered from the special menu which provided some good choices. The French Onion Soup and the Salmon Crudo for appetizers were both solid. For our entrees, the Strip Steak was very nicely prepared and was the perfect medium rare we had requested and the Miso Cod was good though perhaps overshadowed by the steak. Impressive Chocolate Cake for dessert along with an Apple Cobbler that was not bad. Our server Muiris was terrific - friendly and helpful. Another great Landry's restaurant!

I really liked my dining experience here . Brennan was an amazing host, everyone was soulfully welcoming and the service over all was impeccable. The ambiance was intimate. I have heard that it can get pretty packed here so I decided to come for an early dinner during the week because I enjoy quiet dinners and thats what was provided . It didn't start getting crowded til about 8 and we were almost ready to go by then . I liked the food too ! However, I asked for medium and both of our steaks were over cooked . The flavors however were all there- I would come back to give my steak another try.

Strip House was decorated beautifully - the wallpaper, the napkins, the bathrooms, everything was gorgeous. The service was absolutely fabulous, our server was the best. The food unfortunately fell short for me. Now I get it, I got the salmon at a steakhouse but even my boyfriend and his family said somethings changed and that it used to be better. My salmon dish was alright, I didn't like what it was served with but hey, I'll live. The steaks were under seasoned and underwhelming. The sides were probably the worst part for me. We tried their "famous" potatoes and I was super disappointed, it was just a mush of potato lumped together. I get it, it's the city and for the price I think I was just expecting more.

As a belated I messed up on your Christmas gift this year gift I decided to take my boyfriend to restaurant week and choose this place because Delmonico's was out of reservations lol. I also had been intrigued and have passed it a number of times and know that one of my friends that I don't see often really anymore is a regular here. I was definitely curious. Made a reservation for Sunday evening. It was interesting in that they didn't hand us the restaurant week menus at all after we sat down and I had to both know of it and ask for it to see it. Moving on. The service and staff are 5 stars. The food is like 3.5 stars but its hard to rate a steakhouse off of a limited value deal menu. For our starters we both got the french onion soup and that was amazing. Very tiny portion but it was heavy and decadent. For our entrees we both got the 8 oz NY Strip Steak with glazed heirloom baby carrots, pommes puree in a bordelaise sauce. We both ordered it medium rare and it truly was on the rarer side. Which I think I would like more on a regular day if the meat wasn't so tough and chewy and it was layered with a thick ribbon of fat. It definitely wasn't the greatest cuts and quality. The sauce was the best part that tied it together and steak shouldn't need sauce. But again, we paid $60 for a 3 course meal instead of your typical $60 for just a steak. I've definitely had better smaller portions of steak though at other restaurants and they just didn't really set the bar high enough for me to want to become a regular. The deserts were pretty great. He got the apple cobbler (I helped him finish his) and we took most of my giant chocolate cake to go. Although, I unfortunately lost it on the way home. Sheds silent tear. After dinner we did sit at the bar to watch (or at least I watched) the end of the demise of the Bills and tried their cocktails. I tried both the StripTease Martini (Sweet Gwendoline French Gin, Dry Vermouth, Orange Bitters, Dried Fig) and the Favorite Mistake (Russell's Reserve 10yr Bourbon, Zucca Rabarbaro, Carpano Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth). Both pretty fantastic cocktails. Normally, we don't splurge or indulge in cocktails but these were very well made. I love the old school ambiance and pictures all over the wall with the dark red. The candles emit a strange gas-like fume I noticed and wasn't crazy about that. I'm intrigued about their speakeasy lounge downstairs but I think it was closed when we were at dinner. I'd be tempted to check them out again and try their regular menu but I also feel like there are better steakhouses in the city worth trying as well.

Ambiance was amazing, dim lighting but just enough. Not too noisy. Our server had great recommendations. Must try the goat cheese salad! Steaks have a faint peppercorn crust and OMG !!!! Will return.

Received what I expected from a nice steakhouse. Note that the sides are shareable just in case you're not used to that. For sides, we had an array of food including Lobster Mac n Cheese, Miso Broccoli, Grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes. Roasted Brussel sprouts, and Layer Goose Fat Potatoes For my cocktail I had a Passion Fruit Margarita. For my entree I had an 8 oz Filet. Everything was delicious according to our 11-person party.

Strip House is a local favorite of mine whenever I'm below 14st. I've been coming here for well over 15 years, at least once or twice a year, and I order enough takeout from them that my accountant definitely judges me. Is it the best steak house in town? Definitely not. Is it consistent, easy to get reservations, and cute enough for date night or a group of friends? Absolutely. The steaks come with a pepper crust, which I love. They always have the staples, strip, ribeye, steak for two. Their "special" tomahawk for two, in 40 or 50 oz is always there whenever I go, they should just add it to the menu. Can't go wrong with the bacon, comes with pickles and honey mustard, a nice little twist to the usual thick cut bacon. A very tasty lobster bisque, nothing over the top, but it's good. I don't like their salads, but then again I don't like salads so I steer clear of that. I normally do the porterhouse for two, or tomahawk for two and add a ribeye when I'm with a group. Sides are must here, the goose fat potatoes, corn, cream spinach, and mushrooms are my go to. But the real reason to come here is the chocolate cake. Save room for this thing. It's a single slice that's basically the size of a whole cake. Easily feeds 3-4 or 1-2 people who are hell bent on getting diabetes.

Taken by a friend to celebrate my birthday, the ambience was very low-key, romantic, and not too bright. Very spacious, and I like to sit in a booth area, which is what we got. Service was impeccable and food was beyond delicious. The wine I had was also delicious. The only suggestion is with the Buratta Cheese appetizer could have been more creamier. For dessert I chose Keylime pie, which you can never go wrong with. Overall, I was very pleased with the choices that we made and would definitely go back to try other options on the menu.

Some aspects are amazing, while others are just unacceptable for a restaurant with such a high price point. Cocktails - A+ Vibes - A+ Appetizers - B Service - C [very slow with minimal check ins] Steak - F We ordered the $160 ribeye tomahawk, and asked for it medium rare. The steak was without debate rare and completely unenjoyable. Picture for reference... I'd consider going back but would be much more careful with how and what I order.

great filet. loved the starters - thin sliced potatoes and extra thick bacon. baked alaska dessert is quite a show. our server was peter - he's great at his job. nice dark dimly lit spot in the city to drink, eat and yap

Made reservations to celebrate me and my Wife's 20 year Anniversary and was pleased with the service off the bat. Our waiter Brennen was great and offered great selections from appetizers to wine pairing. The Bacon was amazing, the Caesar Salad was good; all thought I was hesitant with the poached egg. For drinks we enjoyed an aged barrel old fashion and a strip tease martini (amazing!!!). For Dinner I enjoyed a Bone in 20oz Ribeye & my wife loved the 8oz Filet mignon both out of this world. For side dishes the truffle Creamed spinach was a must and we tried the "1000" layer goose fat potatoes, I enjoyed it my wife not so much. After dinner they had have a "speakeasy" next door and enjoyed one last cocktail. Strip House was an amazing time and will be singing its praises to all my friends and family.

Went back to Strip House after a long while just to give it another try. Was looking forward to this as my colleague/friend raved about it and said they are specialized in salting and crusting their ends/sides of the steak. Well, didn't turn out to be any flavor, a much drier taste and chewy texture, definitely a disappointing, especially for the price. This is 2 out of the 3 steaks, KC Strip and Bone-in Ribeye. The only one that was somewhat decent, in comparison, was the NY Strip, but even that one wasn't cooked as well as it should be, which we had it done Medium-Rare. Also as it was in the past, atmosphere was dark and super noisy, in case you wanted to know the vibe. But our server was nice and entire service was decent.

Food was good. I enjoyed my pepper seasoned filet mignon, au gratin potatoes, and espresso martini. Hubby had the goose fat potato sticks, strip steak, and ruby mule - he also enjoyed. The only thing we didn't life was the mac and cheese. The server wasn't the most attentive but the individual in the grey chefs apparel compensated by stepping in to check on us and refill water regularly. Decor was photos under an overall red hue. There was a speakeasy downstairs as well. Good experience, would visit again.

Fantastic steak house. Came for a client dinner and it was fantastic. I got the filet mignon and it was spectacular. We also tried the lobster Mac and cheese, spinach dip, mashed potatoes with cheese, 24 layer chocolate cake, oysters, salad, pretzel breadsticks, and ceviche. Favorites were the filet mignon and the lobster Mac and cheese. Superb dishes. Incredibly professional and friendly service that alway filled my tap water. Great red mood lighting with a spotlight right on your table. Walked out with a matchbox. Thanks Strip house!

We love a great steakhouse! & it's a classic New York Steak house. One of the best in the city! Striphouse has two different locations in NYC & I believe we went to the one on 12th street. We were always told to try Peter Luger's, but my sister-in-law knows best! The ambiance is very classy, proper attire is required. The restaurant is very dim with red lights & decor everywhere. You'll be seated quite promptly if you have a resy. As you're seated at your table you'll see pinup photos all overall the walls. Very intriguing as they are all in burlesque attire. Our waiters were very friendly and gave us exceptional customer service. No complaints here except I do think the circular table we had was quite small for us to enjoy meal. There wasn't enough space. What we ordered: - Mac & Cheese - Oysters 1/2 raw 1/2 baked - Creamed Spinach - Striphouse potatoes - 40 oz Tomahawk - NY Cheesecake - Not pictured was the pretzel bread & my goodness that bread was I definitely will be back to try their chocolate cake

Amazing service. You will never have an empty glass. Porterhouse was cooked perfectly as requested. The creamed spinach is excellent. This spot has some history behind it. Go.

Still one of the best steakhouses in NYC!! This is one of very few spots where everything is consistent. From the hospitality all the way to my last bite of dessert!

The Strip House (Downtown) was our last Manhattan steak house dinner before moving south in 2015. We were in town last week on some family business and decided to go there for dinner Saturday night. Thankfully, nothing really has changed. With all of the restaurant closures recently in Manhattan, it would have been terrible if this place didn't survive. It's truly unique and one of the venues that really make us miss the "City." I know this place has many many reviews so I'll get down to the nuts and bolts. We went Saturday and arrived about a half an hour before our reservation. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated right away. We started with an order of the Bibb Salad and Roasted Bacon appetizer. Both came out quick and were delicious. The bacon was caramelized and was awesome. My wife and I split it as well as the salad. For cocktails I went with the Woodford Reserve Manhattan while my wife went with the Cosmopolitan. My rule, when in Manhattan order a Manhattan, especially at the steakhouse lol. Anyway, both cocktails were delicious. On their current menu they have a Manhattan cocktail where the bourbon is aged in specially treated burned barrel. This one is $27. Understandably I went with a regular one. For dinner we spit a 14oz rib eye with a topping of Foie Gras, Kung Pao Cauliflower and fries (of course). The meat was cooked to order and was delicious. The sides were great too especially the cauliflower. We each had a glass of a California Pinot Noir but I can't recall the brand. It went well with the steak. We enjoyed our Saturday evening here very much. Places like this do not exist where we currently live. Again, it's unique with regards to the interior decor. I'll give it 4.25 stars for this visit. As a note, they also have a midtown location and a speakeasy which is next door. We will have to check it out on our next visit.

Really cool place. Saucy atmosphere. Great food! I had a burger, and I loved it. Cooked well and tasty. RRefreshingly nice staff.

As a meat lover I'm always happy to have a nice dinner in a steak house , unfortunately most of the time I ended up disappointed from the quality of the meat and how much they are overpriced and overrated! Thankfully strip house didn't disappoint me ! The ambiance is cool and service is very attentive and prompt ! The quality of the meat was excellent and it was perfectly cooked !! We ordered also a lot of sides and all of them were delicious! An huge chocolate cake was the sweetest way to finish a great dinner !

No need to round up from a 3.5 to a 4. We went back the other night and it was a solid 4 if not higher. The Caesar Salad with the horseradish dressing and the poached egg is incredible. This time the creamed spinach had that truffle odor and taste. The Kung Pao Cauliflower side was fantastic. Because of my uneven experience last time with the ribeye, I opted for the filet mignon. It was not great but it was very good. Definitely trending upwards!

We have been to many steakhouses in the city and Strip House is one of the best we've ever had. The dining room is red and chic and everything we had was absolutely delicious. We ordered the following for 2: - Iceberg Wedge Salad ($18+) - Dry-Aged Strip 14oz ($59+) - Filet Mignon 8oz ($51+) - Baked Potato ($14+) For appetizer, we highly recommend the Iceberg Wedge Salad, which came with the most delicious bacon lardons. Both steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection and we cannot wait to taste all of the deliciousness again.

This review is way overdue. Bottom line, Strip House was awesome. I came early in the evening before a concert at MSG and my small group were the only ones in the restaurant. After starting at the bar, we moved to our table and went to town. We did the salmon tartare, tuna tartare, bacon app, house ceaser salad, and mac and cheese for apps and sides. For an entree, the three of us split the 60oz Longbone Ribeye and added jumbo lump crab cake and lobster role. Everything was absolutely incredible. Their liqour prices are top notch. We drank almost the entire bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 20 year and Lot B. I've never seen these bottles priced the way they were here. I will 150% be back. Staff was great. Management came to chat and were super friendly too. 10/10

The restaurant was nice bathroom could use a scrub scrub with a buffer and get all that old dirt outta there. Now for the food I ordered the dry aged rib eye with roasted garlic and the chili maple glaze. I was told the steak would be tender like butter and I'd be able to cut it with my fork. Nope it was like any other steak and as I thought about it later wonder if I got what I ordered. I hadn't had meat for 5 or 6 weeks and I was craving a steak. It satisfied the craving. The taste was good and the garlic was wonderful. I don't know about the house steak sauce either. I didn't taste any steak sauce in fact I kept adding the glaze from the brussel sprouts to it. I like brussel sprouts but find many times when I eat them out they are questionable. These were great! Loved it. I wish I'd taken a picture once again I forgot but I tell you presentation was very nice. Next time I'll take a picture. I promise. Hehehe Oh I forgot! I was there at about 4:40 or 4:45 PM. The place had so few people. I was told people who are alone are usually seated at the bar. I said I hated sitting at the bar and I do. However I sat there anyway. They at least have hooks for the purses. I could kinda see if the place was busy. It was not. To be honest if I'm alone wanting a nice steak I'll likely go somewhere else. I was not eating a burger and I paid good money. Shouldn't even have been offered a seat at the bar. So beware of that little detail.

Love the dim lighting and ambiance, and the staff was very nice, but found the food and sangria just average, and a bit over priced, especially for the portions. Dessert was very good. Still a good deal for restaurant week!

I was really impressed with our meal here. The service was great, all the food was incredible, and I liked the red interior decor. We were here for my dads birthday and they really went above and beyond to make it a nice meal. Waiter was knowledgeable about all the different cuts of meat and sauces and helpful when we were deciding what to order. The steaks are done "Pittsburgh style" which means it is just a salt and pepper crust with a heavy char - so good. The filet was delicious with an au poivre sauce per our waiters recommendation. Also highly recommend the strip house potatoes and the 24 layer chocolate cake.

Fantastic time here for restaurant week. I had the grilled watermelon, the miso cod and the banana ice cream. My partner had the salmon tartare, the burger and the lemon cake. We also had a martini and a glass of wine. First of all, there was so.much.food! We left beyond stuffed and should have taken the desserts to go in hindsight. The complimentary bread basket definitely was to blame for the fullness as it was fresh, warm, delicious....and bread, so clearly we're eating it! All the food I had was great. My partner rated the burger as average, not the best. The standout was the miso cod and the lemon pound cake dessert, which was amazing. We sat outside in the little glass shed thing, which was a nice experience. Great vodka martinis! I would go back for restaurant week but probably not for full price given that I don't eat meat so the experience would be lost on me.

Amazing food and service. We had a special dinner here and we're blown away. We have been to many steak houses in nyc and this is our new favorite. The ny strip was delicious and the sides we all fantastic. The vibe is intimate however lively and fun. We celebrated finding out the gender of our new baby and the staff went above and beyond to make it so special.

I came here to meet a few of my friends during restaurant week and all 8 of us had a great time here!! I've walked by this place before and initially thought that it was a strip club steak house (the door logo made me a little hesitant and I assumed the guys in our group tried to kill two birds with one stone coming here - steaks and girls). But actually, both the host and my server were both male and fully clothed like normal restaurant workers, WHEW! Throughout my time here all the staff were nice and professional, and made sure we all got our drinks/water refilled in time! We all did restaurant week and I would say the 3 course meal left ALL of us full. Also there is no way someone can finish the signature 24 layer cake all in one sitting, I barely made a dent in my slice! We started out with complimentary bread and drinks (FYI both the old fashioned and ruby's mules are pretty strong in the terms it'll make you drunk but taste great). I loved everything I ordered but I'd say my least favorite was the salmon tartare - I love raw fish but I felt like the sauce over coated the raw fish (and good raw salmon naturally tastes very fluffy and buttery/ melts in your mouth but I did not get to taste the natural flavors of the fish since the sauces over powered it). My boyfriend really liked his watermelon salad though so I would recommend getting that! Overall, I had a great time here and I was able to easily hear and catch up to all of my friends regardless of where they sat at the table (no yelling involved)! I'm actually nibbling on a portion of my leftover cake right now and it still tastes amazing... highly recommend getting it but maybe share the cake between two people if you don't want to take leftovers home!

Came back to strip house because my friend was craving it. The best thing about this place is the steak of course. The plates come out warm with a whole roasted garlic which was nice. The sides are ok but nothing magical imo. We ordered half a dozen Pink moon oysters. They come out to $3.60 each and were very fresh and tasty. I am not wowed by this place but I wouldn't say It's bad. It's ightttt lol.

The atmosphere is really nice. I liked the music and was great for a date. The service was good. The food was good but I was not crazy about the mushrooms. One of the best Oscar styles from a steakhouse in my opinion.

This is THE steakhouse in NYC. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. If you love quality, great service and atmosphere, make your reservation, already! If I ever need a death row meal, it's coming from here.
