Service was outstanding. Al the staff and very nice an friendly. Some of the food items were outstanding like the Fries, Mac and Cheese, and miso soup. However, our main dish were terrible. Our upgraded dry aged wagyu was so tough I could barely chew it. The sea bass's sauce was way too sweet that you can no longer taste the fish.

I’ve only ordered to go but the restaurant is beautiful. The service I receive is wonderful. I order often. I love the chicken. It is truly outstanding. My only complaint is that it’s not always the same. Some times it’s just not set up as nice as other times. But the taste is always wonderful. It’s a little spendy but it is well worth it.

A Five-Star Celebration at StripSteak Waikiki My family and I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at StripSteak Waikiki, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Upscale Steakhouse Experience with Impeccable Service! Had an exceptional dining experience at this upscale steakhouse, and I'm still raving about it! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch – attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our server was fantastic, guiding us through the menu and making excellent recommendations. *The Food:* - *Wagyu Seared on Hot Stone*: ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The Wagyu steak was cooked to perfection, and the addition of yuzu paste took it to a whole new level. The hot stone presentation added a nice touch. - *French Fries*: Oh. My. God. The fries were CRISPY on the outside, SOFT on the inside, and the sauces were a game-changer. I could've made a meal out of just the fries and sauces! -*Caesar salad”: it was done with excellence. I would call it wedge salad since you must use your stake knife to cut the leaves. I quite enjoyed such a different way of eating the salad. -*Beef tartare*: you must have it was fresh, delicious with the toasted bread. -*Sea bass* - the star of the show. Must try! Delicious and decadent flavor of the sea-bass and sauce it was like fireworks of taste buds and pleasures of the tastes. My friend who loves meat, said it was better than the wagyu steak. Desserts: Pineapple flambé The presentation was STUNNING – a true "wow" factor. However, the taste was a bit bland for my liking. Perhaps a bit more flavor or a different dessert option might elevate it to perfection. *Ambiance:* The upscale atmosphere and décor made us feel like we were in a high-end restaurant. A great change of pace from the beach bars and casual eats. *Overall:* If you're looking for a fancy night out with great service and top-quality food, this steakhouse is a MUST-VISIT. Be sure to order the Wagyu steak and those incredible French fries! We stopped in at the bar for the tasting menu during happy hour. The food was amazing! Service was great! And the drinks were fabulous! Absolutely recommend eating here while in the city!

World Class Dining Experience, Phenomenal Flavors, the pinnacle of food in my opinion. The food was unbelievably delicious. The service was blown away as they consistently kept up with making sure you had the experience of a life time. Making sure you were always cared for in even the smallest detail possible. You would say it is unreal the experience. We had the 3 courses with an amazing flavors. Each dish made to perfection. By far the best service I ever received in dining experience

Family took me here for my birthday. What we had: Steak - I forget what kind but it was tender and juicy and flavorful Ceasar salad - I loved this! It was truffle and the anchovies were fried and were crunchy like croutons Caviar- this was good but pricy and basic I could have done without this Kids Mac and cheese, my kids loved it Mashed potatoes- they were best mashed potatoes ever silky cheesy and garlicky really really good

WOW! We decided to host our holiday party here in the private room and we're so glad that we did! Service and food were amazing and all of the guests were raving about how it was such a great dinner. I'm so thankful for that yelp event a while back because it reminded me of this awesome restaurant! The private dining room is gorgeous. It has floor to ceiling windows and it's very private with a side entrance to the bathrooms too. It was so easy to communicate with their events manager because they answered all my questions extremely timely! I never had to follow up with them since they were so responsive! Also loved the set menus to choose from. Each course came out perfectly timed and the wine was perfect. All the food was delicious - from the fries, filet mignon and cheesecake! If you're looking for a place to host a private party or just looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, this is the place to come!

Our party of 4 came for happy hour. We all had shrimp cocktail, which was impressive. I also had the wedge salad, which was pretty good. The happy hour strawberry marg was also very good. We liked the ambiance and the servers were efficient. We all enjoyed our meals, and I tried some steak someone else ordered and it was very good. I paid with the inkind app, which went smoothly. My sister also paid with inkind, and when I saw her bill I pointed out an error after she has already paid. She tried to get it corrected but I think she's still waiting.

THERE BACK!!! They poached the chef from Mina's Fish House at the Four Seasons and their food has returned to the standards that one expects from a flagship steakhouse of the Mina Group. IMPORTANT: 1. As of 08.10.2025, the much hyped by influencers "Market Fish Menu" is gone. Instead replaced by a Mon - Sat special nod to Michael Mina's Fish House specials menu. 2. The "Sunday's on Ice", a special HH that adds cold seafood and caviar to the regular HH menu is still ongoing but subject to change / cancellation at any time. That said, holy F***!!! StripSteak Waikiki is back baby!!!. Straight to it, the Sunday only, "caviar madeleine", a reinvention of the caviar Twinkie with a corn bread base, yuzu creme fraiche and caviar with a dollop of caviar is amazing. At just $24 each, a great way to begin. Add to it the "chips and dip" AKA house fried potato chips with powdered ranch spices, creme fraiche and caviar, a truly indulgent bite though they should offer an option to add more caviar for a supplement price. More in this case is better. Sure, this dish is stolen from Caspian's Rock and Roe in Vegas but who cares, it's so good. Moving on, the fish and chips, excellent. A meal on its own. Large pieces of fresh mahi mahi, batter coated and fried extremely crisp. It is sat atop a bed of fires that have been spritzed with malt vinegar and what seems to be African harissa (not furikake as the server indicated). It is accompanied by a completely unnecessary picante cocktail sauce and pink peppercorn aioli. Fish, excellent; fries, over seasoned but passable. The HH chop wedge outstanding as per usual. Mina's ahi poke, outstanding as always. Mixed tableside to adjust spiciness. Don't run your fork through the "shaka" and lick it. Service is stellar. From a host who sat us at a regular table during HH to the personable bartenders and servers. Finally, the return of a real chef making sensible, steakhouse worthy dishes using locally sourced ingredients where possible makes StripSteak Waikiki and once again, worthy of being highly recommended.

With all of the great food options in Hawaii and restaurants that actually treat their guests with the aloha spirit that best represents the islands, I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. Our party of 3 arrived at Stripsteak around 5pm on a weeknight. The dining room was empty with a few people at the bar and outdoor patio. Although we had made a reservation, we let the hostess know that we were interested in the pau hana menu (a 3 course set menu) as well as the happy hour menu. She guided us to a booth letting us know that it'd be okay to order from there. Our server arrived to greet us and was initially friendly. However, when he saw us looking over the happy hour menu and we let him know that the hostess had said we could order the pau hana meal set, his mood immediately changed and he made a sarcastic remark how he guessed it was fine. The pau hana meal set includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. The portions are smaller, so I'm not sure that it's that much of a deal. It more so seems like the discounted price just represents the smaller portion of the item you'll receive. The food itself was good, but nothing was outstanding. Throughout the meal, the service continued to be uncomfortable with a few specific incidents that were awkward and unprofessional. At the end of the meal, I went to the restroom. For a nice establishment with premium prices, you'd expect nice facilities but they were disgusting. The bathroom was a mess and there was something wrong with almost every stall either with lights broken so the stall was pitch dark or locks being broken and not working. Overall, I was really disappointed by this meal. When everything's a miss, it feels like such a waste. Even though we did order from the happy hour/pau hana menu, we still ended up paying over $200 not including tip. Very disappointing and not a great representation of Hawaii.

CJ was so informative and helpful. He was very accommodating to my vegetarian needs. The service here is exceptional. There are so many staff and everyone is always watching to take care of your needs. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Not too hot, and there is plenty of shade. The lychee Lilikoi martini is delicious! Also had a lychee martini and it was perfect. Neither were too sweet. You are served fries her instead of bread, which is what I love!! CJ was wonderful and had mine prepared sans duck fat. The Caesar salad was excellent, I had it sans the tempura anchovy but my partner ate that and he loved it. My partner had the mina's tartare and he loved it. It was cool to have it prepared at the table too. He had the wagyushu for his main course and it was marbled with fat, had a perfect cook, and flavor. The cauliflower steak was delicious! I recommend the chimichurri sauce for it! Truffle Mac is a must! I love that they don't put breadcrumbs because it keeps it creamy. CJ made our experience so much more enjoyable, we can't wait to visit him again when we come back to Oahu!

We came to StripSteak Hawaii for our anniversary dinner, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The vibe was on point--upscale but relaxed, with a lively yet intimate energy that made the evening feel special. We started with their signature duck fat fries, and they absolutely lived up to the hype--crispy, rich, and indulgent, with a trio of sauces that took them over the top. For our mains, I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked with a beautiful sear and a tender, buttery center. My partner went all out with the triple-seared Japanese A5 wagyu--unreal. Melt-in-your-mouth quality and a true showstopper. To cap things off, we shared the 24K chocolate molten cake sundae. Yes, it's as extra as it sounds, and yes, you should absolutely get it. Decadent, rich, and Insta-worthy. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and every staff member made us feel like we were celebrating something special. Can't wait to come back!

Celebrated Chef Michael Mina's empire continues to grow and be durable thanks to his latest steakhouse concept in Stripsteak. Located on the Grand Lanai rooftop of the International Market Place Shopping Center, Stripsteak brings together the vibrant flavors of a modern American steakhouse with that of unique Asian influences, thanks to their menu featuring a wide variety of meats including all-natural Prime Certified Angus beef, American Wagyu, and Japanese A5 Wagyu. What sets Stripsteak apart from so many of their competitors including many of which are located right near them along Kalākaua Avenue, which serves as the main tourist thoroughfare in Waikiki, is the fact that an extra special attention to service is given to everyone who walks through their door. With an open-air patio ambience that actually was revealed as I dined there at their bar area, Stripsteak truly is an exceptional place to dine and is in line with other restaurants that Michael Mina operates with his name on the masthead. What brought me here on a recent visit to Waikiki, was the fact that Stripsteak hosts what they call a High Tide Hour, which in essence is a Happy Hour exclusively in their bar area from 4-6 p.m. every day. I'm always on the lookout for a good Happy Hour, and with Stripsteak so close to my hotel, a visit was a must, and it did not disappoint. With plenty of open seating at their bar area, I was presented with a menu at Stripsteak that presented as if it was a massive binder thanks to the abundance of wines and liqueurs they feature here. To start my meal I ordered their Lychee Mule which had a nice combination of vodka, lime and ginger beer in a chilled copper mug, and it was a refreshing way to start my meal. To start my meal, I ordered their 3 Piece Jumbo Tiger Shrimp Cocktail, which was served on a bed of ice and with wasabi cocktail sauce; and their Spicy Ahi Tuna Taco which was served with Avocado Purée and Sriracha Aioli on a deep-fried seaweed paper. With my drink in hand and being able to enjoy my two small Happy Hour entrées, I enjoyed my time at Stripsteak as live music was playing in the dining room as I was able to watch others enjoy their meal at their tables. I loved the taste of both entrées with the jumbo shrimp being super large and enjoyable and my only regret with tuna taco was that it was so small that I wanted a second one almost right away. Instead of ordering that second helping of tuna, I looked at their Hide Tide Hour menu and saw a number of items that intrigued me including their Chop Chop Wedge and their Holo Holo Burger & Fries. But there was something about their Fish & Chips which was a market fish served with hurricane fries and a pink peppercorn tartar dipping sauce. After enjoying a refreshing Lychee Mule, I decided to try a second Happy Hour cocktail, the Lilikoi Mai Tai, made with their signature rum blend, lilikoi, and lime. It was strong with every sip, and while I was glad to experience Hawaii's signature drink, I quickly realized it wasn't my personal favorite. As for the Fish & Chips entrée, it was plentiful with deep-fried fish, almost too plentiful as I had trouble finishing my dish and the tartar sauce had too much peppercorn which would overpower the entire dish. For a total bill of $77.49, a generous spread of food and drinks, Stripsteak delivered the best meal I experienced in Waikiki when it came to service and ambiance. It's clear they know exactly what they're doing here: as I lingered past Happy Hour, the crowds only grew, proof that this spot has staying power.

Came here on Father's Day and had an early reservation. Everything was very modern and had a great ambience! Staff was very friendly and greeted us as we walked in. Our server was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Our table enjoyed the foie gras and unagi risotto!!! Very great combination. We also like the Caesar with tempura anchovies! Our entrees we had the 30oz ribeye which was cooked perfectly! And the rack of lamb which was a table favorite. Also tried the macnut encrusted mahi which was light. Our sides we tried the truffle Mac n cheese and the whipped potatoes which was a hit. Overall a great experience and def need to come back to try the seafood tower!

We tried the tasting menu, it costs $135 per person. It's very casual, patio dining feel, with live music which was awesome. It's a lot of food, and not a bad deal for the amount of food you get. Your entire table needs to order the tasting menu. The dishes from the tasting menu are served family style. There were 4 courses. Appetizers, salad, entree and dessert. The crab cake, Caesar salad, truffle Mac were the standouts. The cocktails here are really good, but they're pricey starting at $19. The service here is very friendly and attentive.

Strip steak was phenomenal!! Sexy fun vibes and elegant dining experience. I ordered the Mai tai for my drink that was made really well the bartenders were amazing!! We sat at the bar since the view was amazing! For food I tried the poke tuna tacos and the cocktail shrimp that was sooo good!! Customer service was great !! And it was happy hour that had a great menu selection. I will come back here many times when I visit!!

First visit to strip steak, party of 2 Wait time : called in on a weekday around 7pm and was able to get a reservation for 7:45. Arrived a little early and grabbed a drink at the bar. Plenty of bar seats available. Parking/location: Located at the international market (3rd floor), parking entrance is on Kuhio side (mountain side). Parking ticked validated. Corkage fee: $35 Drinks: Cocktails were delicious & had a nice selection of liquor. Cocktails range between $18-22. Food: We both got the bone in Ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare. Steak was well seasoned & extremely flavorful. The side of baked potato was good, just felt like they went light on the toppings. Truffle Mac & cheese was a decent portion size (definitely sharing size) but was nothing special. My biggest issue was the steak knives were extremely dull. Both my husband and I felt like we were hacking at the steak. I was gonna ask for new ones but looked around and noticed many other people were also experiencing the same. I'm use to going to steak houses and being given a nice sharp knife that just slices through the meat. We also order a small side of foie grad to accompany the steak. While good, it wasn't the best we'd had and not sure if we would order again. Ambiance: Definitely a nicer place but wouldn't consider it fine dining. Lots of couples wearing nicer casual clothes. Some even wore jeans. Great place for a friend get together too! Service: We were lucky to have a fantastic server. I might be mistaken but I believe her name was Natalia J. Very attentive and had great recommendations. A big reason we will be back if at the international market over any other restaurant is because of how great of service we received. Cost before tip: $480 including 2 steaks, sauce, 2 sides, Foie gras, corkage fee, 2 cocktails.

Came here with my family and let's just say: the vibes are beautiful! the live musician was incredible, couldn't stop singing along !!! The service was impeccable!! Save the best for last? I think so! I ordered the chicken and wow ! So juicy, flavorful and overall 10/10! Would highly recommend !! Their French wine is also a 100/10

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. I made a reservation online and noted the occasion--and wow, the staff truly went above and beyond! They wished him a happy birthday multiple times, surprised us with a handwritten card, and even brought out a complimentary coconut cake. Such a thoughtful touch! The entire staff was incredibly attentive, and we're sooo appreciative of the warm hospitality. Drinks: They offer a great selection of liquor, wine, and cocktails. My husband especially loved the Wild Turkey 70th Anniversary 8-Year--he highly recommends it if you're into bourbon! Food: Their menu features fresh, local-inspired dishes, and we were impressed. The truffle scallops were a highlight--savory with a nice citrusy finish. We, of course, came for the steak, which was cooked perfectly. It was a touch saltier than we prefer, but it actually paired well with the broccolini and mushrooms we ordered as sides. Overall, it's a classy spot that showcases delicious local flavors. We'd absolutely recommend it--whether you're celebrating something special or just want a great night out.

Always a great time at strip steak! I come here so often I know the staff and they always have great service. I sit at the bar usually and the bartenders are attentive and have good conversation as well. I love coming here for a solo date, before heading out to party for the night, or with friends to celebrate an occasion. I usually get the Mahi Mahi, but this time I spoiled myself and splurged on the gelato.. paired with the complimentary duck fat fries, was an insane flavor combo! I'm excited to see their Sunday menu with champagne and caviar highlighted. I definitely have more reasons to come back. Not once have I had a bad experience with food or service. That says a lot!

I was quite impressed with this place! Everything from the service, food and presentation was spot on! I also love how they give fries instead of bread and butter lol! For the appetizer we ordered the grand chilled seafood platter and then I got the diver scallop pasta as my main. I don't usually eat chilled seafood platters but this one was great! The seafood was fresh and the shrimp, crab and lobster were all nice and meaty (I don't eat oysters lol). My diver scallop pasta was delicious! Everything about it was just so good. The pasta was nice and al dente, scallops were cooked perfectly and the pesto had a bright fresh zesty flavor from the arugula and yuzu. I tried a bite or two of the steak with some mashed potatoes and the steak was so tender and the potatoes were so creamy and buttery! For dessert, I think we had the 24k chocolate molten cake sundae and that was the perfect way to end our meal! If you want to splurge on a fancy high end meal this is a place to check out!

We went there on weekday's early evening. It was empty when we got there, but pretty packed by the time we left. The staff were pretty attentive. The atmosphere wasn't so upscale and more casual. Mai Tai - I didn't like the crushed ice in it as it melted fast and made the drink watery. The drink was not as strong as expected. Guava Margarita - It was on a bit sweeter side, but was tasty and interesting. Complimentary French Fries - Duck fat and a hint of rosemary made these fries really good. Accompanied by three different sauces made it more enjoyable. Jumbo Lump Crabcake - It was smaller than I thought, but a strong Old Bay seasoning was kind of unique and tasty. Boiled Diver Scallops - It was good yet a bit bland for our liking. Washugyu Ribeye - The taste of meat and doneness were excellent. However, there was too much finishing salt and that kind of diminished the goodness of that. Charred Broccolini - It was a bit undercooked for our liking and also the sauce was insignificant. Garlic Fried Rice - This was delicious! A bit of Chinese seasoning and pork did it. Kona Dark Chocolate Layer Cake - There wasn't much dark chocolate and had more cream than expected. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd like to try the happy hour at the bar as well.

My first time at Stripsteak! We planned a company party here for about 30 people. It was held in the private dining room. We were able to reserve the room several months in advance and pick out the menu. Planning an event here was very easy. Stripsteak is located in the International marketplace in Waikiki. They do a partial validation for parking. Overall, the food was exceptional. Unique with an interesting take. We started out with fries, edamame, instant bacon, Ahi crudo,and a wedge salad. All served family style. For my main entrée I had the filet mignon. Steak was very good, and tender, although my steak was only slightly warm and not hot as would be expected. It's almost like it was cooked and then sat for a while before being served. Sides included, broccolini, roasted brussels sprouts, truffle mac & cheese, and whipped potatoes, all of which were delicious and served family style as well. For dessert we had the Kona dark chocolate layered cake. Service was attentive, but otherwise very slow. We had reserved the private dining room for three hours from 5 PM to 8 PM. The initial hour was for drinks and mingling with dinner to be served at 6 PM, however, dinner wasn't actually served until 7:30 PM. We were all pretty hungry by the time the food arrived. Kind of unusual since it was a set menu and they already knew what needed to be prepared in advance.

Did a staycation in Waikīkī for our anniversary/Valentine's Day. This was the perfect opportunity to try out Stripsteak, located in the International Marketplace. Our server Reynaldo was great & explained everything on and off the menu. He gave his personal suggestions and most popular recommendations. There was also a sommelier who came over to help us decide which wine we would have with our dinner. Both server and som were extremely helpful. Don't be afraid to ask them questions. We ordered the lamb and the 8oz filet for our entrees. It was recommended that the lamb be cooked medium well with a nice char & it came out perfect. My husband said it was the best lamb he's had from any restaurant! As for my filet it was nicely cooked to medium as well and I enjoyed each bite of it. We also ordered asparagus to share which we loved too. They serve complimentary garlic fries with dipping sauces before the meal so just know it's like their "bread service". Ample parking in the parking lot. Stripsteak has validation available if needed.

This was my first time at Strip Steals in Honolulu and I was pleasantly surprised by my dining experience. The service was top notch from start to finish. We ordered the 20oz ribeye to share, which I thought was a little on the lean side based on the wait staff's recommendation. We also ordered a side of mushrooms And Brussels sprouts to pair with our ribeye. The sprouts were very quite delicious with its sweetness and slight bitterness. While the ambiance was relaxing, our seating was not the most ideal spot as we were seated right next to the wait staff's work table and constantly heard the employees conversing loudly right behind our heads.

The food and service here is always on point. We recently stopped by for happy hour.. Happy hour is daily from 4pm to 6pm in the bar area. Their bar area is actually a pretty decent size. We got the 3 piece pacific oysters $12, holo holo burger and fries $21 and a calamansi bliss $15. The oysters that we were served were the kusshi oysters. They were huge, plump and fresh. They were delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly medium and was good. The calamansi bliss was a non alcoholic drink. It was refreshing and had a fizz to it. The service was exceptional. The waiters kept checking on us and kept the water glasses full. They packed my leftovers for me to take home.

Late review as we ate here about a week ago for the first time in a staycation over the weekend. We made reservations for dinner. The restaurant did get packed so I recommend making reservations for your party no matter the size. This place is pricy and I find appropriate for food made by a celebrity chef. It was similar to Gordon Ramsay prices in Las Vegas. Service was excellent. The hostess, whose name I forgot to get, got us seated quickly. Our server Jeat, was very attentive and knew the menu well even recommending personal favorites when we had a hard time deciding. He was very attentive when I brought up food allergies and steered us away from things with those sort of ingredients. We also had Kyle and Justin come by our table to take dishes, deliver dishes, and top up our water. There was not a moment my glass of water was empty and was refilled quickly and sometimes without me noticing. These guys were great. We ordered instant bacon and hamachi taco for appetizers. Our entrees were the 16 oz washugyu ribeye and a jidori chicken. The fries were a starter that came out with drinks in 3 sauces. These were some of the best fries I've ever had. If there is anything I regret, it's not ordering 3 plates of the instant bacon. This was the favorite dish of ours and we just keep thinking about it one week later. I consider this a must try if you come here for the first time. The tacos were also great and flavorful. I liked the creative use of the nori as it was made crispy and the taco shell. Delightful to eat. The washugyu ribeye was very well seasoned. It did get hard for me to eat towards the end as I didn't pair it with a sauce. The last bites were super salty but I can't complain so much as other steaks I've had weren't seasoned as well as this. Yhe jidori chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The molten cake for dessert was light and a great dessert. You can't really beat the hot and cold combo of this dessert and it's a dessert i would go for on most dessert menus. Though the basque cheesecake was calling me too. Overall we enjoyed this restaurant so much we plan to eat here again for our anniversary later in the year!

My fiancé was looking for a sweet way to celebrate my birthday while we were on vacation and we landed at Stripsteak in Waikiki's International Marketplace. Needless to say, this was an absolutely incredible meal and such a spectacular way to ring in another trip around the sun! We arrived in the early weekday evening and found it easy to get seated in the outdoor area under a shady umbrella. We were first served complimentary fries - fresh, crispy and deliciously paired with a trio of sauces (Japanese Barbecue, Ketchup, and Truffle Mayo). Our server seemed a little unsure about drink recommendations but I ended up with a Riesling. For our meal, we selected the 16 oz. Washugyu Ribeye with sides of Garlic Fried Rice and Charred Broccolini. We also opted in for the trio of sauces (Bearnaise, Steak Sauce, and Chimichurri). This was hands down one of the best prepared meats I've ever had plus with the garlic fried rice - I was in heaven! Steak was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. Our favorite of the sauces was the chimichurri, it had a slight kick that was really savory. Bummed I didn't get a pic of everything but I don't think you can go wrong with anything here!

Recently sat at the bar with girlfriends...the service was terrific! We loved the fries, ahi rolls and instant bacon! And the drinks we had were delicious! Very professional seasoned bartenders there and compliments to Chef Elvis that Instant bacon was amazing! Such a beautiful restaurant and great service!

Fathers Day for the hubs from me and baby. I hate going to Waiks...but wanted to go someplace other than our typicals. Traf ridiculous...20 min late and surprised they didn't call me, but had no issues when I got there. Got our table...comfy cushions. We had a chair for baby, but waiter offered to bring a booster since maybe would fit better - we never saw that booster though. Think he forgot. Sitting and hubs kept getting whiffs of urine. Pretty sure someone relieved themself in the potters out there. I have allergies so luckily couldn't smell it...and yes, we checked baby to make sure wasn't the diaper. After a few drinks, it didn't bother hubs. Luckily for everyone it was him who smelled it, and not me... Water cup for baby. She was super stoked about the fries. And dipping sauces. Double dipped and probs really didn't eat that many fries. Overordered...and didn't finish anything except 1 pupu: - Truf Caesar - very tasty but not super truffley. - Shrimp Tempura - tempura batter is more that heavy okazu-ya kine rather than light Japanesey kine. Tasted good though. Head and tail on, so even better, but it's not in the description so people who don't like may be a little surprised. 1 sauce no taste, 1 sauce sooo goood. Baby liked. - Bacon - Very saucey. Couldn't really taste the pork. Scraped off sauce and baby ate some. Plan is to rinse off the leftovers and refry. - Hubs got the Trip Seared Wagyu - Was good. Too oil for me to eat that much of it though. Gave him a bunch of my steak since I was getting really full by then. - Bone in NY - A little overcooked. More medium that medium rare. But was good. Got that big one b/c I like dry-aged...didn't have enough of the skunky dry-aged taste for me though. - Whipped Pot - ohmagod that was so good. Baby liked too...so much it ended up on her forehead too. Saving for later I think. - Brussels - good but little oily and too saucy. - We all shared the cheesecake. Baby loooved it. I thought that was one of the better ones I had. NY taste, but not as heavy, but not as light as Japanese kine. - Hubs seemed to enjoy his drinks. He likes to try different when he goes out...enjoyed the mai tai. Baby was excited to see it b/c it was so pretty, but disappointed she couldn't have. I was DD so just a glass of wine. Our waiter was nice and did pretty good but not very engaged. What I think really needs to improve is the restrooms. They were a mess. 1 of them was so dark in the stall...I'm assuming that means it's especially dirty. You need to slam 1 door to get it closed, 1 door will open regardless of whether you close the lock or not. Not in line with our $800 dinner. It's also surprising that the other staff don't give you the time of day. One person did let me pass, but that was it. Manager guy (assume since he had Aloha shirt and not the suspenders outfit) looked miserable. Staff only nice to the ones tipping them? Overall a good night, b/c hubs and baby had fun. But it's the small details...

Classy restaurant for those with a large budget conveniently located in the International Marketplace. This would be a great place to come for dinner when on a business trip. There is a room you can reserve for large parties. Waiters are so kind and dressed well. Huge shoutout to our waiter Brian who took great care of us. Brian was attentive being present whenever our food was brought out to make sure we were pleased. He made us laugh and kept our glasses full thank you Brian! The restaurant is ADA accessible. The bathroom in this restaurant smells amazing and was clean. Music in the restaurant was not a good match for the ambiance. Jazz would have been a better fit. We liked the size of the table giving us enough space for our food and drinks without feeling cramped. Appetizers Ahi tuna and Egyptian falafel The toppings remind us of shaloha (Mediterranean food). Interesting and delicious combination. Oysters on happy hour menu were small but tasty. Preferred the fire sauce over the Lilikoi. Entrees 8oz center cut Filet was a little disappointing and did not melt in my mouth like it typically does at other steakhouses. We did enjoy the sea salt on one side that enhanced the flavors on my tongue. Broccolini was fibrous. The whipped potato was quite buttery. Ahi belly tempura was by far best dish we enjoyed at Stripsteak. It melts in your mouth with the tempura perfectly fried without too much batter. It balanced sweet, sour, and spicy without overwhelming the senses. We would come back just to order this dish. Dessert Mango sorbet was light and refreshing. It prompted vivid memories of enjoying the honey mango in Thailand. It is a nice choice to end the meal. Drinks We tried the happy hour lychee mule, old fashioned, and the sake. Our favorite was the sake. The presentation by our waiter Brian was beautiful poured into a glass overtopping into a box. I wish I had gotten it on video. The sake itself was delicious and a little sweet. Parking We parked in the International Marketplace parking garage. Bring your parking ticket to the restaurant to get validated. Upon exit the parking fee was $2.

Great steak, spot-on shrimp, and those ahi tacos... wow. The staff was just as good as the food. And the fries? Duck fat magic. I could talk about them all night. We liked it so much we went twice in one week. Easy recommendation. Go hungry!!! J'me

Our service from Euyen (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) and Kyle was exceptional. There was live music by Dustin Park who is a local musician, so perfect for the setting. I arrived for the YELP Elite event and three course meal. This was my first Hawaii Yelp dining reservation. The was a little wonderful and little less than great but overall it was a 4 star for food and service. We had an older non local couple that told me "I have real issues with my kids" after I used the ladies room and didn't take my 2 year old and she cried for a minute and calmed down before I got back. Her husband looks like Santa though so not sure if Mrs. Clause is just salty I had kids and it wasn't Christmas yet. I brought my party of 7 including my husband (who unfortunately ate a giant lunch and only had a mojito, not dinner while here). I upgraded to the filet which would have always been my top choice. The mashed potatoes were a prized success. Perfection. My middle son said he thought my mashed potatoes were good but these were top notch and I agree. Probably the "best I've evah had!" (Boston official accent strong). The broccolini was perfectly cooked. The sauce, not sure what it was now that I remember the tastes but it was delicious. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The kids burgers were a decent portion and affordable for this higher end establishment. I'd go again but maybe sit down for happy hour or on the patio. The inside vibes was more tourist than local and I don't want to feel like the tourists are more important than the rest. Santa specials and all. The ahi falafel was not my favorite. The ahi was tender and I enjoyed its tenderness but it combined with the falafel was not a hit. I love a good falafel and this was not it. I ate the cheese cake at home and it was good. Nothing spectacular but I would eat it again. The Mai tai did not taste like a Mai tai. For the price, I expected flavor. This tasted.. More like vodka? My husband said his mojito was good though.

Service was great. Food was mediocre. I visited this restaurant for my birthday and was expecting great things based on other reviews but do not believe the hype. If you don't mind spending $500 on dinner then by all means this is your scene but I wish the food was actually worth it. I wish I would've just used that money and visited more local food establishments that I'm sure would've had more flavor that Stripsteak but that'll be for my next Hawaii trip.

The food here is always good and beautifully plated. The servers are always really kind and keep our glasses full. It's just a really chill beautiful place to eat. But this is a place for dates or special events. The prices can be pretty up there but I still recommend it

We spent a couple hours enjoying about $525 worth of food for two people. Drinks, steaks, oysters and a very tasty dessert. While it was the most expensive meal for two I have paid for it was fun and I have no regrets. Very nice setting and staff. Would be back but pull back on the richness of meals ordered.

Came here last night with some friends for a birthday dinner. We loved the ambiance and vibes Location: in the international marketplace. Park in there too and the restaurant will give you validation so parking is free. Food: food was good. I ate the mahi mahi and it was 8/10. We also ordered a bunch of sides: truffle Mac was soo good. Def recommend. Broccolini was also good along w the Brussel sprouts. But the Garlic fried rice was mid imo. Service: was overall good. We waited for our food menu for a little but other than that the service was great. Will definitely be back!

Wow. Very good steak here , cooked to perfection. Very nicely friendly staff here as well. The inside are super clean and nice. Parking is very easy to find as well.

Stripsteak was a great experience with great ambiance and food. If you want a very upscale and pricey meal that's sure to knock your socks off, give it a go! FOOD: we tried an assortment of appetizers (salad, shrimp cocktail, and a fish roll that I can't quite recall what it was) and a main (a white fish-- I believe halibut). The dishes were served with a French fry appetizer which was a nice touch. The food was beautiful and tasted great-- no complaints. AMBIANCE: it was very upscale ambiance (though outdoors and in the center of an outdoor mall). However the mall was beautiful. There was live music. Volume was moderate/loud. SERVICE: service was great. Didn't exceed expectation but was very good.

Happy hour experience! 4pm to 6 pm, Stripsteak offers a food heavy menu of some smaller tastes from their regular menu experience. If you want a taste but either don't have enough appetite or coin to do the full Stripsteak dining, try this. I believe it's bar area only, come early as does fill up. Kudos to the bar tenders who provide warm hospitality along with award winning service!

Everything was splendid! Our steaks were perfect. The staff was excellent Will recommend to friends and family, definitely coming back.

My husband and I went here for a nice steak dinner on one of our days on our honeymoon back in Sept 2024. We originally walked around and tried going to another steak restaurant a few blocks away and were denied entry for having shorts/tank top attire. When we continued walking and searching for other steak restaurants and came to Stripsteak, they gladly accepted our attire to come dine in. They weren't too crowded as we dined in around 4pm (which was 7pm in California), but they seated us in our own section away for the other tables for privacy. The place was not too loud nor quiet, but just the right amount of noise level. Lighting was mood, but bright enough to read the menu, especially with the sun still out. The service and waiters were very kind and so professional. They served us the most amazing sparkling water we ever tasted and to this day, I want to figure out what brand it is and if I can buy it in California! The portions of every meal were huge and flavors of every dish were tasteful. Ordering a side of rice and mushroom portion size was way bigger than I expected. This was a special honeymoon meal that we splurged on and knew it was going to be very expensive and ended up being between $650-$680 including our alcoholic drinks, sodas, and appetizers, meal, desserts, and tip. Overall, we would love to come back if we visit this island again in the future.

I've been to Stripsteak a couple of times and have been wowed by the food quality. Both times we got the Ohana Tasting Menu and that is absolutely the way to go! You get all the best dishes to share (see photos) and will certainly leave veryyy full and super satisfied. I dream of the truffle mac... so yummy! But seriously, everyone left loving the meal. The service was very attentive and helpful. The overall vibe is fancy but comfortable, a perfect date night or special occasion spot. They do validate parking in the international marketplace parking lot which is fantastic in busy Waikiki. Downsides include the high price tag and I was somewhat disappointed with the cocktails. Overall, it is definitely pricey, but the food quality is worth it! I for sure plan to come back to try their happy hour!

Stunning restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Our party of five arrived on a Sunday evening without a reservation, and we were fortunate to be seated immediately and at a great big booth. I love how accommodating the staff were, especially since we had three small children. The kids menu offered a variety of items at very reasonable price points. Overall, some of the dishes were delicious and some of them could have used more seasoning. Tuna tartare- 10/10 Pork belly/bacon appetizer- 9/10 Lamb Chops- 8/10 (great quality, but could've used more seasoning or a sauce) Mashed Potatoes- 7/10 (would've been a 10 out of 10 with more butter and seasoning) 3 Day Bender Cocktail- 10/10 (smoky and delicious) Kids Garlic Fried Rice- 5/10 (very mid) Kids Burger- 10/10

My husband's steak was way too spicy and not piping hot like he likes it. My salmon was undercooked. We didn't say anything because what's the point? We are here on vacation. The best part was the garlic fries they serve instead of bread and butter. Everything is a la cart. Service was excellent.

The one thing I will say is pass on the fried rice and eat your calories on something else ; not that it wasn't great- just basic. There's a choice between indoor and outdoors, eating, and seat in the house is great.

Solid steakhouse in a local setting. Took my Mom here for her birthday last night and it was a truly special time. Being all of our first times there, I called prior to mention the special occasion trusting guidance on what table was best...they nailed it. The staff really took care of us and I loved the little touches like the staff-signed birthday card...my Mom was all smiles all night (and that's not easy!) Shout out to the manager who answered my call and CJ our server who was excellent. Warm, welcoming, balanced with his kind and friendly attention/demeanor. Cocktails (that Trader Vic's Mai Tai means business for sure!) and mocktails were solid and the wines I had all spot-on. For our party of 3 we split the almost-perfectly cooked 20oz ribeye with 3 sides (+broiled king crab) as an entree. Started with the ahi tuna crudo 'roll,' A5 wagyu appetizer and caesar salad and ended with the grilled pineapple foster. Big 'production' choices with the wagyu app and dessert, which were both fun to watch. Pros -Ambiance, service, overall execution -Li'l bonus treat of fries with 3 dipping sauces was a fun surprise starter -Live music: the most relaxed, fun covers by Ethan I think was his name? -Seating: all open-air but both indoor and outdoor had different vibes depending on your taste -Caesar salad: great crisp leaves with just the right amount of dressing; interesting tempura anchovy filet additions -Ribeye: so tasty, med rare was well executed, just the ends were well done. Cons -Ahi tuna crudo 'rolls': quite dressed (and is it just me being a snoot or is this sort of 'modern Japanese' execution of drizzling sashimi with ponzu-base, add sliver of jalapeno, etc. a bit tired?) -Broiled king crab: we like our crab quite basic so asked for the miso butter on the side- still came overly salted- all 3 of us noticed it, to the point where it was hard to take down without making a face. Call-outs -A5 Wagyu appetizer is quite pricey ($65, 4 paper-thin slices) but more for production and accoutrements -Every steakhouse has its renditions; here: mushrooms are glazed with sweet Asian shoyu sauce; mac and cheese are mini elbows, non-gooey and tasty; whipped potatoes are smooth as butter- we got them loaded so they moved to a very dense state as soon as they cooled (so eat these fast). A memorable time regardless, and spent a pretty penny here but was definitely a special occasion to remember.

What a wonderful experience and meal! We decided to celebrate our anniversary here and they brought us a signed card, and an anniversary dessert. We did the Caesar, hamachi tacos, new York strip steak, and the wagyu strip steak. Everything was phenomenal and cooked to perfection.

Had a great time at StripSteak! Third floor of International Marketplace. Wonderful happy hour. Waiter Rick was the most professional we've had in Honolulu. Top flight staff, excellent food and lovely wine choices. Plus a talented musician and grown-up atmosphere. Hard to beat combination!

Had our last meal on Oahu at Stripsteak. To call it expensive is an understatement! It's ridiculously expensive! But, the food was very, very good. I had the Miso sea bass and my husband had a filet. Both were very tasty and my husband had nothing but praise for his steak. The duck fat fries that they serve as a nibble before the meal, instead of bread, were a nice change from the ordinary. We had the Pineapple Foster (an island take on bananas foster). It was good, but something was missing. Can't quite put my finger on it though. The only thing I can complain about was our server. He was very nice and quite accommodating, but seemed to be trying to hard to please. It was a bit off putting.

I would give it 5 stars because our waitress Tori was awesome. However, I only gave it 4 stars because for as fancy a place as it supposedly was, with very expensive steaks, we had to ask for more coffee, and I felt several of the other waiters (not Tori) kept coming around a little too often to see if we were ready to have our leftovers packed. We hadn't had dessert yet. In fact, we had to ask for the dessert menu. HOWEVER, the steaks we ordered were delicious, the Brussels sprouts were tasty, mashed potatoes were great. The garlic fried rice was disappointing and had no taste. It was like eating brown rice. All in all, I would say the food made up for any of the negatives (except for the garlic fried rice). Ambiance was nice as well.

I get that when I order a steak medium at some random place that there's going to be a chance that it get served a bit over medium. But when I'm having to pay $121 along with $4 refills for a diet coke and my steak comes out nearly well done then I'm going to have to say something about it. I try not to ever send food back (as I prefer not having my food tampered with), so I'm not sure what my recourse was. The steak (dry aged NY) still had good flavor and a nice crust but you've gotta be kidding me with how it was probably 5 seconds away from being grey/well done. It looks like people tend to have a good time here, it's unfortunate that I wasn't one of them. Otherwise, the service was great, sides (mac and cheese, whipped potatoes, brussels sprouts) were rich and flavorful, so that I suppose will get a second star.
