Strokers Ice House is the definition of a bikers bar; dark, somewhat rundown, people doing some heavy drinking at lunch time. What else could you ask for, right? Well how about some great food! I got the Dagwood, but I have to say Ma's grilled bologna looked pretty tempting (I'll give it a try next time). The Dagwood was great!! It's was huge; three slices of grilled Texas toast topped off with bacon, ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo. If I hadn't of decided to pig out it definitely could have been a two meal sandwich. All baskets come with some potato salad, pickles, and a bag of chips. The food is pretty inexpensive, with the exception of the Dagwood ($10, of course I got the most expensive item, damn!), and fall under the $10 mark. Since I went for lunch during my work day I am unable to comment on beer/liquor prices at this time but check back for an update later.
I can't tell you how many times I have driven by here in my daily work routine, I was talking to a manager at the office and he said I had to try it. So today was the day that I decided to hell with it let's go. I've got to admit that I was a little apprehensive because all I've heard is that Strokers is a SERIOUS biker bar only. Well that is not the case, I saw everyone in there from bikers to CEO's. Give it a try and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
