Where To Eat Down The Shore: Atlantic Highlands To Seaside Heights - New York - The Infatuation

"In a confusing (and surprisingly common) Jersey Shore tale of frozen desserts by the same name with different owners, enter Strollo’s Italian Ice. The Strollo name is the pinnacle of Jersey Shore Italian ice, but Strollo’s Italian Ice in Belmar (not to be confused with the six locations of Strollo’s Lighthouse) is the best of them all. Served out of soft serve machines, this is not the same as the frozen ice cube of sugar water you can find at the grocery store. On the hottest days of the summer, this is what you want, and a twist of chocolate and pistachio is the best-in-class order. " - Michael Sinatra

Absolute WORST place I’ve ever been to (Belmar location). Place looks like it’s boarded up at all times. Got there at 8:10 on Sunday night. They had nothing left. No rooks flavor, no flavor of the week, out of multiple flavors of ice and the kid who worked there was so happy to tell us they didn’t have it. The kid also gave my mom a cone and filled it up crooked. Within 2 minutes of getting it, it was falling off the cone. 5 minutes after we got our ice cream they locked the doors. It clearly says online they are open until 9 (all other locations in Nj are open until 11pm). This place stinks. I’ll never come back.

What is actually wrong with the owner? He’s unfriendly AND rude and you have to rush your order. All he says is “Anything else, anything else?” He doesn’t seem normal. He has a problem! He should sell his business. He has no customer service skills. Good luck if your child has food allergies. He’s not able to comprehend any questions you ask. We ordered an extra ice cream today so my daughter felt safe. He’s terrible! The product is mid. Nothing fabulous!!!!!

Best ice cream on the Jersey shore. Been going my whole life since the original across the street. Sadly they’re open when they feel like it. Post their hours on google open until 9:30 PM but last 3 attempts they closed early. Waste of time. No online phone number to call ahead and confirm open or not. Best but sadly bust.

Unprofessional and rude service . I ordered a pint of chocolate ice and received a pint of chocolate ice cream. When I went to exchange it. I was yelled at and told I ordered ice cream. My daughter and I have been going for years all summer. You just lost our business.

Not bad. Seems like a place that had a lot of history that moved locations and struggling a bit these days. COVID could be to blame. The Italian Ice tastes more creamy than icy to me, but it's pretty good regardless. At least 8 flavors to choose from. Service isn't stellar. Nothing inside other than the service window and a bottle water cooler.

The ice and icecream is a 10! Service is about a 1. Been a customer for years anyway but went this weekend and it smells horrendous inside like a rotten egg, paper towels on the floor, dirty…We walked out, not sire we will come back.

Tasty, almost creamy ice. Three flavors in a small! Citrus is refreshing, I had the orange. Peanut butter and chocolate were creamy and delicious. Definitely going to freeze your brain if you eat it fast!
