Stopped in today for a quick snack & some beer at the bar. They make a great sour & bourbon barrel beer (if you like founders KBS this is a lighter amazing version of it). We both got soups (butternut squash & green chili) came out super hot and fresh with a homemade biscuit. Service was amazing - the bartenders were super friendly and walked us through the menu and beer choices!

Google
I really enjoyed their beer selection, which offers a variety of options for every palate. Pairing it with their brat made for a satisfying meal; the brat was flavorful and well-cooked. For families, there’s a kid-friendly option with the hotdog and fries combo, which is priced at $11. The outdoor seating on the balcony was a highlight, especially with the fall leaves creating a beautiful and relaxing backdrop. It’s a great spot to enjoy a casual meal with scenic views. On the downside, I wasn’t a fan of the pretzel. It was a bit too hard for my liking, and at $9 or $10, it didn’t feel worth the price. However, the fries were fantastic. They’re on the thinner side, with a perfect balance of crunch on the outside and a soft, fluffy inside. Overall, while some items were hit or miss, the setting and beer selection made it a great spot to relax and enjoy the season.

One of the best German Brats I've had in a long time. Great beer, staff and atmosphere.

Google
The vibes here are great! We had a party of 9, including 5 kids ages 3-13 and we had a great time! The food and drinks were excellent all around. Our server was a delight and took excellent care of us. There were several other tables with small children, so I would say this place is definitely kid friendly. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Google
This place is great. Service was super friendly. Food was awesome. The beer flights option was a great way to try a bunch of different beers at a good price. Loved our experience here and loved the food. And I’m speaking for two adults AND three picky teenagers!! The vibe was excellent. Crowded but not uncomfortably so. And everyone having a good time after skiing!!

Google
Was the food good? Yes, but we had a long wait for it, and we only ordered the brat and fries. We didn't receive an update on our food and truly seems like they forgot, especially since we watched another table get their stuff in reasonable time The vibe was definitely there, but the service left a lot to be desired. Customer service matters, especially when you're paying Telluride prices. I do appreciate them covering one of our beers to make up for it. But first time here and first time in the city feels a little tainted from that experience

Google
All I can say is YUM. Great for a casual bite to eat, we had their soft baked pretzel, fried chicken sandwich with what seemed to be homemade pickles & sauce, and a jalapeño brat & fries. It was all soo good! The atmosphere is also perfect after a cold winter day with the warm hues & stone build. We loved every bit of it, I recommend this over a fancy spot all day. I still can’t stop thinking about that pretzel

Google
Crispy beer, flavorful fried chicken, and McDonald's style fries make this place a must! We stopped in for a post hike snack and beer and we were pleasantly surprised how good the food and beers are! The basket of fries are very similar to McDonald's, and I mean that in a positive way! Get the beer cheese and ask for some of their Basil Aioli as well! The Cesar salad with Fried Chicken was also amazing, it makes me think their sandwich is out of this world!

Yelp
What a Fabulous historical place! We were lucky to immediately get a table for four people and the staff were very attentive! Great start to our lunch. Read the history in the photo I took of their poster! The wooden interior was definitely warehouse feeling with high windows and an old, iron lift and scale. The bar was a very old carved mahogany beastie and absolutely gorgeous. The staff were busting butt and it was great to see such amazing and knowledgeable people attending to the guests. Our server was Jesse The menu was not large but had a great selection of items and an extensive list of beers. In true mountain town style, prices are 20% higher than elsewhere. I opted for their German brat with fries and their signature lager beer. I'm so glad I did!! The brat wasn't over cooked but nicely grilled on a toasted bun with homemade sauerkraut and the fries were absolutely incredible! They're doing a good job here!

Yelp
Nice little place for cold local brew and some friendly service! Of course we had to do a little beer tasting and got a flight of 6 beers. A fun exercise for the whole (over 21) family members. We also grabbed a little dinner: Elk Jalepeno Cheddar Brat w/fries - 5/5 Very tasty. Served on a fresh bun w/ carmelized onions, fries were perfectly seasoned. Salad w/braised Chicken - 4/5 - Greens were fresh and dressing was light and refreshing. Chicken was a little overdone and dry. All in all a great place with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Tommy P.

Yelp
Just flat-out great service: every single staffer hustling, doing whatever needs to be done the instant it needs to be done. Fantastic. Looked too crowded to go in - Nope! Just cleaned off this table; come on in and sit down! Great room, too. Food is very delicious - and they're somewhat proud of it. For instance, the special "bratwurst" I had was a very good Chicago Dog made with "Wagyu" beef - for $16. It was very good. No side. $16 for a hot dog? Yowza. The regular $12 brat, the $10 pretzel and the $3 beer cheese for the pretzel were all solid. The brat and the sauerkraut (house made?) on it were probably the best bite of the day. A pub lunch for two of us wound up being over a $100 after a couple of drinks and tip. But, nevertheless, we LIKED Stronghouse Brew Pub. Good drinks; good eats; great room; EXTRAORDINARILY great service. We'll be back.

Kerry G.

Yelp
Love the food, atmosphere. Go there every year we are in Telluride! Pretzel with beer cheese is my favorite.

Jill N.

Yelp
Lots of good brews Pot pie was fairly good but better heated up as leftovers with some Milk added for more gravy Hubby had the corned beef sandwich which he devoured and it came with great shoestring type fries Kara was our amazing waitress So fun and happy and took time for some Small talk Beautiful building and the history is amazing

Anna M.

Yelp
Food was good, service was good too. No kids menu though. Chili was on the small size but had very good chunks of meat in it. Chicken sandwich was the best!

Liz G.

Yelp
My husband and I had lunch here after a hike, and we were fortunate to secure a table inside during a rainstorm. The service was excellent, and the staff were all very friendly. We opted for a beer flight and were pleasantly surprised by the generous taster sizes. The Honey Ginger Blonde Ale and the Hasta La Vista IPA were favorites. We shared the Alpine Mac and Cheese and the German-style brat for lunch. The mac and cheese was incredibly creamy and piping hot, with the bonus of delicious pretzel dust on top. While the brat didn't quite compare to those we've had in Germany, we still enjoyed it and appreciated having the option while in Telluride. The pub has a lively atmosphere, and its see-through floor offers views of the brewing operations. I recommend trying Stronghouse Brew Pub if you're in the mood for alpine pub fare.

Yelp
Twice during my annual June visit I went here for their amazing corned beef with apple cider sauerkraut with fries. Outstanding once again this year and looking forward to next year!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Great place! We got the cider and the pretzel and both were YUMMMy! We also met some locals there and the vibe in the bar is so chill. Will be back!

Sarah A.

Yelp
This was a great decision. At the time we needed some lunch before heading to the gondola. At first we popped into a bakery with the intent of getting a sandwich, but then decided we wanted something more sit down. Around the corner and down the way we found Stronghouse. We sat outside as it was a gorgeous day. Perfect temp, light breeze, made for good deck weather. The outside seating is covered, so don't worry about that blazing Colorado sun. First order of business was to get a flight. This is our M.O. when we hit a new brewery. Pick out a flight, share and discuss. This also gave us time to peruse the menu. We chose Stronghouse Lager, Okilly Dokilly, Dynamo Dunkel, Wrong Way, Irish Red and Más Lager. I have been enjoying the Mexican lagers across breweries this summer and Más Lager did not disappoint. Dynamo Dunkel was my second runner up. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich and said it was quite delicious. There was a special that day of a sausage sandwich with caramelized onions and peppers. That had my name all over it. I did opt to get a side of their beer cheese dip for my fries. Worth it!! The staff was fun and welcoming. I would go back!

Alice Z.

Yelp
This is a perfect spot after a long day of activities. We had the fried chicken sandwich, brat, and pretzel with beer cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly. Yum! Outdoor seating is very nice, they allowed our dog on the patio.

Amber E.

Yelp
Highly recommend the pretzel. Neat history and good beer. Would go back for appetizers

April R.

Yelp
Amazing. Got the chicken sandwich and fries. My husband and I always split meals because we don't eat allot. First place ever to actually cut the sandwich and bring it out in two plates. Fries were amazing and the apple coffee pickles on the sandwich was to die for.

Erik P.

Yelp
Decent beer, decent service, decent pretzel, decent deck. Overall a decent place, would be back, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Jess H.

Yelp
Everything was excellent! Chicken sandwich like gourmet Chic Fil A BLT with fried green tomatoes- epic Kids loved the French fries because "they were thin like McDonald's" Basil aioli was All brats were Our server was amazing!!! Loved her!

Jackson K.

Yelp
Loved it! The pretzels were amazing and great beer! The patio was chill. Service was friendly and amazing! You should go.

Rose S.

Yelp
Drove to Telluride to check out the ski town and have an appetizer with adult beverages at a place that is welcoming of dogs. We found Stronghouse Brewery on Yelp (thanks Yelp!) and ate outside with our pooch. The vibe was mellow and perfect for us after a long drive there. Our waitress was Katie (unsure of spelling) and she was a delight! We ordered gazpacho and a brat. So good! She brought out honey and melted butter for the buttermilk biscuit that came with the soup. Wow it was good! I ordered a French 75 and my partner ordered the Irish Red. Delicious! Would go again!

J Z.

Yelp
Ordered a beer, pretzel and fries. The pretzel was good and the fries were amazing. The beer was ok. Service was alright and prices kinda high. Didn't care too much for the ambiance. Maybe eating outside would be a better choice.

Dennis T.

Yelp
I found Stronghouse beer to be the best in town. Also, the green chili with biscuit was the single best meal I had in Telluride. It was crazy good.

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Solid place to stop for lunch in Telluride. They have fan favorites on the menu so its not an overwhelming menu but just the right amount of items. We stopped here after a hike and took a seat at one of the high top tables, service was great from beginning to finish. But the food and drink are the star! I had a hoppy IPA and BLFGT sandwich (extra letters are for fried green tomato!) and all was delicious. The sandwich was served on Texas toast so it provided all the savory and buttery goodness I was looking for! Time it right and you can find a table outside.

Courtney J.

Yelp
Really good food & beer!! Attentive & friendly staff. Dog friendly on the outdoor areas. What more could you ask for?

Crystal C.

Yelp
Terrible food! We picked up our over priced food or else I would have sent it back. As you can see the chicken was burnt and the size of a chicken tender. The bun is folder over on the other side. The pickles tasted like balsamic vinegar, which was weird and the bun was like paper. The fries even tasted old... seriously how can you mess up fries? The chicken was completely inedible. I managed to choke down the day old cardboard tasting fries cause I was starving. Just terrible!

Fred S.

Yelp
A really nice pub and restaurant. On our visit to Telluride we ate at Stronghouse twice and enjoyed the food and service.

Lindsay V.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich was a win, and my husband had the elk brat. This place was yummy!

Mary G.

Yelp
Great selection of beer in this historic building off the beaten path. Sat at the bar and while we weren't here for food, the menu looked good.

J S.

Yelp
10 stars - Wow - now I see why this place was voted # 1 Brewpub. ‼ Food - Pretzel (crunch, buttery, light and airy). The special super secret cheese sauce - ah - mazing Elk Brat - So damn good. Must have. Service - it's the people. Friendly, dynamic, charismatic. What an awesome crew. Sky,Sam - thank you Music - Epic Ambience - makes you want just settle in - stay for a long spell Special place - run if you can ‍‼ P.S I would post pictures but the food was so good could not wait.

Shelby L.

Yelp
This spot is perfect for lunch! We stopped in during a rainy day for a drink and a bite; it was great! Had a fantastic Tom Collins and the pretzel was to die for. The mustard! Our service wasn't top tier, we had to go to the bar to ask for the check, but everything else was great.

Jim G.

Yelp
Outstanding Food, Service, and Ambiance. It had been a year since we relaxed at The Stonehouse Brew Pub and we were again pleased that everything is "top notch."

Stevie K.

Yelp
The staff here are awesome and so friendly! There isn't a beer here i tried that I did not like and the food is pretty good as well! I love the brew room downstairs on the way to the bathroom, pretty cool!! Definitely worth stopping in to at least have a beer!

Crystal S.

Yelp
Highly recommended! Texans here! Food is delicious (We ordered the Brats, Beer Braided Chicken Caesar Salad, and Special Chicken Soup). Guys enjoyed the flight of beer. Great atmosphere and music!!!

Bert H.

Yelp
Excellent service and great food. I had the Elk brat and my wife had the chicken sandwich, both were delicious!

Yolanda A.

Yelp
You know you will love this place by the wonderful smell as you walk by. We were instantly drawn in and have no regrets. I got the veggie pot pie and my husband got the bratwurst and a beer flight. We will definitely go back for more.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Good post hike spot. Great pretzel and cheese and crispy fries. Service was ok but food made up for it.

Nick S.

Yelp
Sam and Katie provided exceptional service during my visit. Sam's skill behind the bar and Katie's attentive service made the experience truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Sean R.

Yelp
Waiter a bit standoffish - forgot drink and messed up order/check but nice atmosphere.

Tracy W.

Yelp
Nice place to stop in for a quick bite. We sat at the bar and the bartender was quick to take drink orders and provide menus. The brats are top notch. The fried chicken sandwich is generous and the house pickles were great. Atmosphere is basic pub, small, loud, music playing, TVs on, people talking ... standard. I'd pop in again for a bite.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Best find in town. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and our server Katie wonderful. The pretzel and beer cheese were fresh and the bratz were great! Definitely a must visit when in the area.

Tam L.

Yelp
Great options for all ages. Loved the pretzels. Nice to have an area where toddlers & dogs are welcome.

William L.

Yelp
Best little brew pub in the US is well earned. Have a lot of beer snob family back East trying to convince me their pubs are the best but none of the beer they offered up matched that of Stronghouse. Then there's the delicious food. While menu is limited, it has great choices. Our favorite is the Grain Bowl. The vibe is like a neighborhood place everyone likes to be at. The staff friendly and efficient. Well deserving of good tips. I looked forward to a return to Stronghouse after last fall. It did not disappoint.

Casey D.

Yelp
Definitely worth a visit. Went here once while in town friendly staff awesome atmosphere won't regret it.

J L.

Yelp
Great location. Dark, small, cool atmosphere. Friendly service. Fantastic drinks and delicious pretzel.

Travis C.

Yelp
Really busy and took a bit to get a table, but I was a holiday weekend. The waitress was nice and the food and beer were good, when I'm back there I'll probably go again

Kevin M.

Yelp
Good and unique burgers for a bar/brewery although limited in choices of other entrees. Didn't like their brew selection much but maybe just my taste. Decent service without being overbearing. Indoor or outdoor seating nice for warm weather days.

Deedee R.

Yelp
Really great brewery... brews were a little bit more then we are use to but they were great! Love the IPA great ambience! And great service!

Allan M.

Yelp
Great Mac and cheese. Different. Good pretzel. Wife and I ate inside. Have to add more to this review to post it.

H R.

Yelp
So good. Every beer in my flight was excellent. The food was DeLury and reasonable. The service was friendly and with a good amount of personality! Definitely coming back here.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Honey Ginger Blond Ale was delicious as was the food. The beer cheese was great with the Bavarian pretzel and the fries. Highly recommend!

Darya S.

Yelp
Our first meal in Colorado did not disappoint, luckily! The two of us shared the grain bowl, the cheese steak sandwich, the pickled veggies, and the beet hummus. The sandwich is, as a warning, nowhere close to what a Philly cheese steak should be, but it was good and hearty. Definitely get the hummus! It has an interesting flavor and comes with crackers, carrots, and cucumbers. The veggies are so vinegary, so if that's not your thing, skip it. The best thing was the salad because it's so filling and a huge portion. Also, the music playing in the background was 90s hip-hop and that's always a winner in my book.

Bridget J.

Yelp
The food here is really good! I had a grains bowl as well as the mac and cheese- both were great! The staff were super friendly. I would recommend going earlier rather than later as it is walk ups only and tends to get busy especially during the high season. Great place for a bit and for a drink with friends after a good day of skiing!
