I love their brownies! At first sight, it looks almost like a crime to have a brownie this big! It is very tasty and rich with deep and nutty flavor. The amazing thing is that even eating when it is cold, it is still gooey and delicious. I am looking forward to going back to have more pieces and try other items as well. The staff here is very kind, asking about warming up the brownie and getting the bag for me as well.

This bakery has excellent cookies made from scratch, cupcakes, and cake slices! I have had their espresso multiple times and it is consistently delicious. Get over to Strugglebeard for delicious cookies / cupcakes / cakes / coffee and a cool vibe.

They didn't have food but they did have desserts. I tried the original cookie..it was ok But the Caramel cake slice was bomb. It was more like a pound cake with a rich and creamy Caramel. The Caramel was thick but not overly sweet. It kinda reminded me of peanut butter. The color was beautiful, that let's me know time was taken to make it.

Strugglebeard Bakery might have “struggle” in the name, but their cookies definitely don’t struggle—they slap. That peanut butter cookie? Smooth, rich, and straight-up addictive. 🥜🍪 The location is prime Hyde Park real estate, and their cookie and cupcake flavors are as unique as the name. Service was a little shaky (young staff, new biz—comes with the territory), but the vibe is promising. I’ll definitely be back—next time with a sweet tooth and a little patience. Support Black-owned. Possibly the finest cookie I've had in my life. I don't do upscale cookies much because they're too sweet, but this was just right. Delicious, well balanced, creative. I had a Dr G. Que, dunno if it's a regular item or a special but it's amazing.

Yes baby! The treats here are fire! I strolled in not knowing what I wanted, so I got quite a few things. My Uncle stole the blueberry lemon loaf. It looked kinda like a loaf pound cake. He was picking his fingers before even finishing his bites. EVERYTHING tasted amazing! I got the caramel cake, everything brownie, & Tod (lemon) cookie. OMG, smack me into a dessert coma it's that good. Probably the best caramel cake I've ever had. And if you've read my reviews, you know I've had my share. The gentleman at the counter was being modest about it flavor. He cut the first slice of the glorious looking cake right in front of me. I appreciate they leave the cake whole and it tastes like it as well. He also described everything really well. I had no questions and it was hard to make my decisions. The bakery is super clean with good music playing. I could see myself (and I will) sipping coffee, eating sweets, and working from there one morning. The vibe is cool & comfortable for any occasion. Beard game matters is now an understatement when it comes to baking! Thanks, Strugglebeard!

Ordered online, these came relatively quickly. They've got good texture and flavor, and the bonus B3 cookie was really good. Will absolutely be ordering again in the near future. Keep being an awesome person 😊

Strugglebeard Bakery is a hidden gem! Literally the best caramel cake I’ve ever had moist, rich, and full of that buttery, homemade flavor that takes you back to family gatherings. From the moment we walked in, the owner made us feel incredibly welcome. He was so personable and generous, offering us samples of both the red velvet brownie and the caramel cake (which was a game-changer, by the way). You can tell everything is made with care and intention each bite tasted fresh and absolutely delicious. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. I’m already planning my next visit so I can try the cookies and more of their menu. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates thoughtfully made desserts and great service. A true local treasure!
