We know the Studio Allston for many years now and it is becoming our "home in Boston" now that our son has become a College student in Boston! We find it most happily situated, near the river, with so much green around and nice walks for our dog. We also love the quality of everything in the rooms, especially the great bedding, including the pillows and bed sheets. We love the huge windows and the light-hearted fun modern look with the bright colors here and there without it feeling "loud" or "crowding". We relish the warm breakfasts, with delicious coffee and more than all the friendliness of the staff and Front Desk employees who always make us feel welcome and try to accommodate our requests without fail. Amazing place, really, in every way. The best hotel we know in our lives so far (and we travel a lot).

As a value hotel—excellent. An older place that they have done what they could to make it interesting/welcoming. When we visited they were having a super-loud party—but really didn’t notice it much outside the lobby area—it was controlled and outside of the volume, everyone was very respectful. Beds and shower were great. Staff was great. Food was very good for what it was. My wife said it sort of felt like being on a cruise ship—I sort of get the feeling—-anyway, we had a very nice stay.

The rooms were very nice, and clean. There were no microwaves in the rooms. The breakfast was the least I liked about it. Hard boiled eggs served (probably re-heated) all 4 days we were there. No pool, workout or office area. Now the staff were very nice and friendly. The location was fine for our purpose.

Pros: very clean, super friendly staff (particularly Lucas and Klara), convenient location, easy parking and comfy bed. The free breakfast was exceptionally well done.|Cons: some street, hallway and neighbor noise. If you’re sensitive to that, it may bother you. It did not bother us. Bathroom is very basic with small towels.|None of these cons would stop us from staying here again. We’ll be back.

Face lifted older hotel with a quirky vibe. This hotel is in a centrally located area easily accessible to most of the major Boston universities. There's plenty of parking and generally the staff is friendly and responsive. There was one occasion where the lady at the front desk did not acknowledge our presence even though we were standing right next to it and she was on the phone but other than that it's been a good experience. There appear to be two major sections of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are excellent but the noise level for the rooms that face the street is noticeable. One downside of the design choice is the selection of a barn door for the bathroom door which leaves a gap through which you can easily see into the bathroom when it's closed. Housekeeping is very prompt and receptive to any issues and they should be complimented. The alarm be quirky and there is also a free pool table. Breakfast is included and is your standard fare. There's also an attached eating area. There is an outside courtyard which looks like it has a bar area but this was not actively used when we were there. All in all a reasonable choice for the price. We would definitely consider staying here again. For those needing a workout, there are free passes available to a nearby gym. There is also easy access across the street to the excellent running paths along the Charles River.

Had a good time! Fun art theme , and neat food hall and courtyard area. Complimentary breakfast was nice and appreciated. Just be aware that walls in the rooms can be thin, and can hear neighbors talking relatively easily

The hotel was a bit old, but very nice and clean and the art is amazing. The staff (we had the pleasure of meeting Clara and her customer service is 10/10) was great! The location was perfect for visiting Harvard, walking to the Bunker Hill and walking the Freedom Trail. Overall it was a great experience.

So great I went back again!! Front of house were so helpful. Lucas in particular was amazing helping me understand the city and get the most out of my trip. Local born inspiring staff makes a huge difference! I recommend this hotel. It's spacious, cool, relaxed with a creative vibe and super helpful and friendly.
