The Best Dine-In Movie Theaters in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"With locations in Marietta, Alpharetta, and Duluth, Studio Movie Grill is a top choice for a dine-in theater experience OTP. Food and drinks, including a full bar of cocktails, beer, and wine, are available right from your seat by pressing the service button during a movie. Order Southwest chicken egg rolls, a hummus plate, or pretzel bites to start, followed by hatch chile chicken pasta, flatbread pizza, or a burger like the roasted poblano-bacon burger topped with pepper jack cheese and agave chipotle mayo. Servers will also deliver buckets of popcorn and candy from the concession stand." - Beth McKibben

I've been going here since 2016 (when tickets were $5 on Groupon) and what I will say is that it is arguably one of thee best theatres around. They're still arguable one of the most affordable with GREAT food + drink options! The atmosphere is always clean and inviting ... Every so often you'll run into an employee with not the greatest attitude but otherwise it's great here! 🫶🏾

The theatre was very clean. My group ordered food and said it was very good especially the pizza. The reclining seats worked perfectly, I usually bring a blanket in case it's really cold. The A/C was not freezing. The server was kind and able to take the order quickly and move out of the way. Especially during the show. I was prepared for the worst after reading some of the other reviews. However our experience was not bad at all. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with supplies. We attended a matinee and parking was plentiful. I did notice a stale, damp smell. The climate is very humid and there has been significant rain. Suggest a more deep cleaning and/or plants to purify the air better. Regardless, it was good and we would go again for sure. I'm really glad we went to get our own opinion despite some of the reviews. Go, enjoy your show!

We come here for the special needs screening they feature for all family friendly releases, and love it. The ability for my autistic son to enjoy a movie in a judgment free zone is spectacular. For this screening, the lights are dim, volume is not excessive, and guests are welcomed to stand to get out the wiggles and stim as needed. We have been coming for over a year, and it has taught my son how to sit through a movie. He used to run wild through the arena, and I would spend 50% of the time chasing him and trying to keep him in his seat. Now he enjoys pushing the button to order food, the reclining seats, and will stand up from time to time but near his seat. So much progression! We are grateful to be seen and get these opportunities to help us grow. The food is great! Seriously. I had the sweet chili wings, and thoroughly enjoyed. Topped off with an espresso martini. My son loves their kids tenders with fries, which comes with a chocolate chip cookie. I have had several other menu items, including pizza, nachos, quesadillas, and enjoyed everything. The special needs screenings offer free movie tickets that you can pick up for you and your family as early as the Wednesday before the scheduled screening. It is usually featured the Saturday after the film premieres at 11am when the theater is mildly populated. Big kudos to Studio Movie Grille for supporting the special needs community. Highly recommend this theater! Great food, service, seating, price, and movie selection.

First I would like to start by saying it’s a nice movie theater. I didn’t get a chance to go to the bar, but the drink I order while watching previews was good. . But the food wasn’t. The chicken tenders was kinda hard. And the Mozzarella sticks wasn’t good and for the price you pay you would think the food would taste good. I didn’t like the 18% Gratuity added to your bill. I don’t mind tipping but 18% is crazy. My Overall experience, was OK. the screen seem kinda small also. The service was fast and the employees was nice also.

Google
Very nice seating and comfortable seats, this was my 1st time at a theater where you can order at your seat. The menu is quite impressive for a bar and grill theater in my opinion. Full bar, food, and snacks right at your seat. The sound effects is so amazing, Watched Demon Slayer in sub and loved every minute of it!!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My friends and I had to leave the theater due to potential hearing loss and ear damage. My wife and I were Invited to go to movie night with friends and the manager made the experience a nightmare. Called one of my friends a racist(??); despite us being in a mixed group, over them at first refusing to honor movie vouchers; received over a previous film that was ruined due to a fire in the building. Then, the manager failed to accommodate the mere 6 patrons in the auditorium by refusing to turn down the ear damaging volume level. I’ve never been in a theater in my life that I had to leave over risk of hearing loss. It was louder than the loudest rock concert. The repeated efforts to get the movie volume lowered, ironically, fell on deaf ears. My wife is disabled and we don’t get out to the movies much these days, but she’ll reach out to corporate next week instead. Who wants to give business to a facility that has petty and spiteful management, that does not care about its guests or making things right? At least the food was good (what little we got to eat of it) and so were our servers. Unfortunately, the audio volume was unbearable and we couldn’t enjoy the food or the film. Why suffer hearing loss or damage when I can go to any other theater and be treated with dignity and respect or just watch it from home in a few months? Not worth my time or money, despite good servers and food. Those people deserve better. We, the paying customers, deserved better.

My girlfriend and I recently went to SMG to watch a movie. We usually love our experience, but this pass time left us questioning whether or not we want to come back. It started when we went to the bar while we waited for our movie to start seating. It took a while for the bartender to greet us and when asking questions he was not rude, but he answered short and dismissive. Once we realized we weren't going to get proper service, we decided to just order in the theater. It's seem like our experience was turning around. The severs were really nice but our food and drinks did not come out in the correct order. We ordered Alcoholic drinks and popcorn first. We still didn't receive our first order when we ordered a brownie sundae. After expressing that we wanted it later and to push the time back, next thing we know, the sundae comes out before the movie even began. Then the popcorn, but still no drinks! Our drinks finally come, and when we finally get to sit back and enjoy the movie, it seemed like the team leader chose a quiet dialogue screen to scolded and lecture her co workers openly and loudly. Which drew much attention from our section. We were also given the wrong time when asking when the kitchen and bar closed, so we were unable to order additional drinks. Overall great movie, bad experience.

Yelp
Went there to see the new Jurassic Park movie it was very good. The staff were very nice and attentive. The place was pretty clean but beware you cannot trust the cup holders you may find something unpleasant in it. I put my cell phone in it and it had some kind of liquid substance in it. I got the honey pepperoni pizza, and I'm not gonna lie it was one of the best tasting pizzas I had! Something about the combination of honey and pepperoni was really good.

Yelp
I don't know what was going on tonight at SMG but it was a major let down. People work too damn hard for the money they choose to spend at these establishments and it's almost like nobody cares. Arrived at the theater a little early and was directed to wait in the lounge until they opened the theater for seating. Cool. No biggie. We decided to wait at the bar...grab a drink and unwind from a pretty hectic week. There was one couple already seated and enjoying their beverages and also a solo gentleman when we sat down. Two staff members were chopping it up while we sat (neither ever greeted us). While we waited, another couple sat down and a young lady came to join the solo guy. The bartender walked over to the first couple, welcomed them, took their order. Cool. Maybe he was working his way back. He greeted the next couple and took their orders. Afterwards, he went to work on their drinks. Mind you, he walked past us to get to them and then walked past us again to begin making their drinks. Never once did he even acknowledge us. Weird. We decided to just go find our seats since it was about that time. We were the first people inside the theater and others slowly started to walk in. We had finished viewing the menu and were ready to place our food and drink orders so we pressed our service button. While waiting, we noticed the three couples from the bar walk in (beverages in hand) and they took their seats. As we sat there, we noticed several service attendants begin servicing the guests who had arrived AFTER us, including the three couples. I kept saying "are we invisible or something?" Finally, a young lady came over and turned off our light and let us know she'd be right with us. After about 15 minutes, she finished with the guests behind us and proceeded to walk past us to assist another customer. At this point I was super annoyed and said "excuse me ma'am"...and she turned around saying "I'm sorry I forgot about yall." What?? Trying to wrap this up but it is what it is. She took our order and we sat there at least 30 minutes...watching people who arrived after us get their drinks and food. I pressed the button again because at this point WTHelly? A young lady came over and I explained the situation finally asking if she could confirm that our order had been submitted. She confirmed that it had and not long after, our food came out. I didn't get my beverage (or napkins while we're at it) until I was half way done with my meal. Insane. And THEN, no one ever took a credit card for payment until after the movie was over. To make matters worse, they overcharged us. I don't know. Not sure what was going on at this place but again, we work too damn hard for the money. This experience was not it at all.

Yelp
Transformers One came out and we really wanted to see it. The movie theatre we first selected didn't have a time slot for about 2 hours so we opted for SMG. Unfortunately, everything was the same as last time. Here's my experience: Parking: no one was here! I'm not sure if it was due to us being a half hour early, but we got a first parking spot! That was a plus Staff: they were all young but all so nice and pleasant. Experience: You aren't allowed to go into the theatre unless it's 15 mins before show time so we sat at the bar. As mentioned, staff Aplus! Food: Food came fast but everything was overly greasy, and cheesy. Felt like I was eating fake food if that makes any sense. No fault of the staff but SMG needs to do better! Their food selections and quality use to be so much better. Theatre: The buttons didn't work AGAIN and everything was sticky. It was so gross. I felt like I was being held hostage in the projects. Like someone was pranking me lol The theatre had an odor similar to that of a daycare (sticky floors, diapers, old food) idk! Not my cup for tea! Movie: 10 out of 10 the best one thus far. Everything in me says to not give this location a chance again! But I will select a different SMG for the future if I must go to one.

Yelp
Studio Movie Grill (SMG) in Duluth is a fantastic spot for both movie lovers and foodies alike. SMG has revolutionized the movie-going experience by offering an in-theater dining experience with a full menu and drink options, making it more than just a place to watch movies. Founded in 2000, Studio Movie Grill has grown into a popular chain, with locations across the country. They're known for their relaxed, yet upscale, vibe, allowing guests to enjoy a movie while indulging in a meal and drinks delivered straight to their seats. The Duluth location is a great example of their high-quality service and comfortable atmosphere. The reclining seats are perfect for kicking back while you enjoy the movie, and the food selection is impressive--ranging from burgers to salads, plus delicious snacks and desserts. They also offer great deals, including discounted tickets during the week, making it an affordable option for a night out. I've had a great experience here each time, and I'll definitely be back! Whether you're watching the latest blockbuster or an indie flick, Studio Movie Grill is a solid choice for a fun night out. This SMG location has gotten much better. More security, more servers, more managers. I can definitely tell that they're under new management or just wanted to make some changes. Things are much better and I personally appreciate it. Better food options as well.

Yelp
I got here early yesterday and I didn't have an issue waiting, I understand it can take time to clean a theater that also has food in it. So the 20 mins before rule didn't bother me. What did bother me was the fact that it took over 20 minutes to give me a water with lemon. That should take seconds. There's no reason why my food should be coming out before my drink. Not to mention, I came at 6:15 on a THURSDAY. There weren't many people in the theater at all, so it just seems like the service here is slow overall and people aren't paying attention. I was also disappointed to find that the buttons don't work on majority of the seats. If you're going to serve food, the ONLY way to contact a server should be working at every seat. Having to get out of my seat and walk down to a button that works is unpleasant. This SMG has been here for years, it's BEEN time for a renovation or make over, there aren't even reclining seats & you're charging people more than 12 bucks for a movie... insane to me. This is silly. Maybe they need to transition to ordering online. The only highlight here was the Ballpark Chicken Nachos, I really enjoyed them. I got the Meat Eater Pizza trying to be safe and unfortunately it tasted sort of rubbery and fake. The meat didn't even have flavor really. I was very disappointed. I really used to like SMG's food, I used to work there as a teenager , so it's sad to watch it go down hill in this way. Idk if i'll be back after that experience.

Yelp
The price was really high and people can block you during the movie ordering in the middle of the movie, I understand but you can kneel at the same time, it was still an ok experience. I unfortunately did not get food but the food looked good and the service looked great, everyone was friendly. Very nice looking place.
google avatar

Silvia A.

Yelp
I'm not sure if the workers are all teenagers or what, but they sure all act like it. They were very disruptive. I genuinely thought they were patrons; I even heard one cussing. That's unprofessional. I could understand that behavior from amc but from smg? This place is supposed to be a nicer location, and as of late it's not. I wouldn't spend my money here, another thing: the service fee. I have no problem paying for it, I always tip. We ordered drinks, we had to reminds the worker three times and even then she didn't bring our drinks. Three times is ridiculous. Especially considering it wasn't busy. We reminded her each time she came to check up on us. Another weird thing is they took a random dance break ? They were dancing to the movie ? That's really weird , instead of getting our drinks that were due over 15 minutes she's dancing ? That is definitely not 18% tip quality. The movie went along smoothly, and the place was clean. The food tasted good.

Yelp
Overall: drinks are WAY over priced! Also, service charge is included!? Love the concept of movies, food, and drinks. Pretty much like watching a movie from the comfort of your home except on a HUGE screen. The chairs are also very comfortable. Service was surprisingly pretty decent. I was assuming terrible service considering the service charge is included. I did appreciate that they had that stated gratuity is included on the check on the front door when entering their establishment. I do like their bar area, but the prices for their drinks were a little ridiculous. Food was pretty decent. What you might expect from your average bar/pub. I am not a visual/sound expert, so cannot really comment on the movie quality expect that the movie was visible and the sound was audible.

Yelp
Ok! so let's get into it! This place is a hidden gem. The experience was way more than we expected. First we ordered our tickets online, around $6, which was surprising lol but I'm sure they knew the true purchase would be the meals/snacks. We arrived at the theater about 20-30 mins b4 the show, btw we saw Wicked Part 1. that's another review lol Once we got there, we self checked in and walked to our theater. Seating was spacious and clean. We had a very nice view. A server, Alex, walked up and introduced himself, gave a run down of how things work, then took our order. We got the Egg rolls, Cheeseburger Sliders with Sweet Potato Fries, and SMG Burger with Regular Fries. We also had adult beverages, Mules. EVERYTHING tasted AMAZING!! We were very well pleased. I even ate my last slider the next day, COLD!! so good. All the servers were efficient and helpful. The entire date night was a great atmosphere, great customer service and great experience. We will definitely be making this a staple in our future date night activities. They had a nice bar, that we didn't go to but we could sit there b4 a show perhaps. The location wasn't out of the way or hard to get to/navigate to. They had ample parking and if we were to visit in the day light hours, there are other retail stores in the area to visit. We will be returning.

Yelp
Wow! The movie theater can be such a magical place! You get to experience all the work that the production, actors, and writers did to make it, and this is a place to do it at! I visited Studio Movie Grill and it was the perfect date night. We enjoyed the flatbread and fries! The flatbread, just half of it had us full! It was clean (even when you shine a line of the seats) and the staff was so polite. The bathrooms were also clean, and at the end of everything, they asked what they could do to help us or if we needed a refund on anything. When I tell you that's the first time I've ever been asked that and it's a sign to me of good training, helpfulness, and outstanding customer service! I will be back for sure!

Yelp
I was here today with family to see a free screening of the movie "Birth of Korea" sponsored by the Korean American Coalition. I am first generation born Korean American and I don't know a lot of the history behind the formation of S Korea. So this was nice to get to see (some in English, all subtitled) and learn about the first president of RoK. This theater was really nice, we had folks who was helping out- it's a theater with smaller capacity, and offers alcohol and food. We were greeted by Tae who took our drink order, and we got a couple cocktails and some sodas. Favour ran the drinks up to us, and I asked about their preference as I was trying to choose between loaded Buffalo chips or the hatch Chile chicken pasta- I was advised the pasta was great, and this was no lie! Piping hot; pasta was al dente. I carried all of the cups and plates out after the movie ended, and was greeted by Ethaniel who offered to take everything off my hands. Perfect timing since my hands were very full. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the conversation and service I had from Brian at the bar. Great service, friendly, and professional the entire team here! I'd love to be back to try other foods, drinks and snacks! Thanks to the amazing team here for hosting us and I'll be back!

Christine B.

Yelp
The drink prices were outrageous!! $40 for a Chevis on the rocks. I could buy an entire bottle for less.

Forever B.

Yelp
Spent $38 on tickets and we weren't able to see the movie due to a water leak. Came back the next day and were told we have to wait again to be able to use the re-admit pass. No emails or anything apologizing and/or explaining any details. Just having to waste time and money

Kenya C.

Yelp
Service was amazing. We had a great attentive, waitress, very professional with friendly customer service. The atmosphere was not very clean and there was a bad smell and the food was not tasty and overpriced. I was very disappointed. I hadn't been in a while and to return this way makes me not wanna go back. Two adults two children almost $200 too much.

Yelp
Well, yet again, I have ventured forth to a once, pretty great theater, only to be disappointed. Studio Movie Grill has been my go-to SECOND choice (after Movie Tavern), ever since I was in college and they opened their first location near us. We used to visit the SMG on Holcomb Bridge Road, but after Covid, they shut down- and they said it was permanent. A few months later, they opened back up. ‍ No explanation. Well, since then, my grandmother moved North and my uncle, with whom I tend to go see movies, began staying up there at her place instead of ours. This meant a switch to the Duluth SMG when he's in town. I will say, they did fix that pesky door that apparently had the armature fall on a customers head when he walked in.... That might not be to e best start though. Over the past year, I've seen service go downhill and the actual theater starting to show signs of age. Last time I went and saw a movie at the Duluth SMG, I noticed a couple pixels were out in theater 5. I let them know about it and they said they'd have their tech look into it. This was about a month ago. Low and behold, I have returned and ended up in theater 5 again...and guess what's still messed up? The same spots are appearing on the screen and now there's even a blown speaker. A few years ago, the food was pretty damn good, but these days it's really just not. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger (less the BBQ and add Mayo) with chips and a starter of mozzarella sticks. I was eagerly awaiting my crunchy, cheesy, delicious snack...but it never came. Come to find out, the waitress didn't put it on my order. My chips and burger came out- the burger was good- bacon was crispy, lettuce tasted fresh despite being shredded, the BBQ-Mayo switch-out was present...but then there were the house-made chips. Some soggy, some limp and chewy, and only maybe 5 of them were HALF-crunchy. I could even forgive them not being salted if they were at least crunchy... The theater was quiet. Since this particular theater screening room doesn't share a hallway with another, we didn't have to deal with competing sounds from adjacent movies playing.

Flights N' Bite ..

Yelp
Old. It's a cool theater but it's just a little too outdated for my liking. But glad theaters are coming back
google avatar

Satin J.

Yelp
My experience at SMG was great. Me and my spouse went yesterday and it was exceptionally nice. The food was good and the movie theater was clean. Also the service was quick and efficient. They really did a great job the staff and the bathroom was clean. I will be returning, Loved it!
google avatar

Nneka Z.

Yelp
Come to this theater every now and then. If you do not come during the previews don't bother ordering food takes FOREVER to come out! Especially if it's busy, food might possibly come out cold as well. Other than that it's an average movie experience, seats don't recline either.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
Everything was yummy. They shud work on reupholstering the chairs but i would definitely go back
google avatar

Shakira G.

Yelp
The seats does not recline and they are very hard. I have back issues and hip and I was in so much pain and could barely walk after the movie..... HORRIBLE SEATING
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
Studio Movie Grill gets a 0/5 star rating in my book. Let me explain - When you purchase tickets, a QR code is included in the confirmation (simple, right?) Not so, I'm afraid. You must then go manually print your tickets with no customer service. It gets worse folks. The restroom ... dark to the point where you sit in someone's piss left on the seat. Then, the soap is out in 2/3 dispensers. So yeah. Did I mention the entire theatre is in semi darkness and smells like stale BO, overcooked food and spilled alcohol? The most important part: theatre. The seats are easily the most uncomfortable I've ever sat in (and do not recline). The attached tables are coated in residual food grime and the seats' leather coverings are cracked to hell. Anyway, I strongly advise you to pick a different theatre. The higher price is worth it. P.S. not safe to leave your belongings in your car (even if covered). This is NOT a safe area.
google avatar

Lillian G.

Yelp
Food was average, the seats were hard and the little tables needed wiping off but for a family friendly vibe for dinner and a movie, it was cool. It's not as nice as CMX or AMC but still a good time with more reasonable prices.
google avatar

Jesse C.

Yelp
Horrible service and cold food also someone on staff stole my card info and tried to do a separate charge that i did not make i will never go back to this location the Alpharetta one is way better
google avatar

CC C.

Yelp
This place was great! Staff and manager Chris were awesome. Food was great, drinks were great. Chairs were nice and it had tables to eat off of

Jordan a.

Yelp
This business has a terrible way to process the customers order, the manager wasn't able to help me but able to explain to me why not once but twice now I've been here and have been double charged for one order. The servers need to do better at double charging a check, other than that this place is okay for watching movies, wish they had recliner seats.
google avatar

Jarrod F.

Yelp
I ended up finding a decent Groupon to come visit Studio Movie Grill for $5 a person, so me and the Mrs decided to randomly go during a late Saturday afternoon. We arrived around 5pm and the theater had a few people in there, maybe 12 max, all socially distant. So we checked in, grabbed our tickets, and waited for them to clean before we were able to set down. At first, we were planning on just coming to watch the movie because it was 5$, but you can't NOT come to studio movie grill and not try the food. So I ordered a burger meal and my wife got a chicken tender meal. The food tasted good, after paying for both our meals, it was pretty much the price of buying 3 movie tickets. (Just a heads up, all their checks will include a 18% gratuity, which is understandable. So just be prepared for that). Overall, the experience was fun and i enjoyed myself. I felt safe the whole time and think this spot is a perfect location for a lowkey date or just a personal getaway. Just make sure you choose a good movie when you go. I chose "The Little Things" which resulted in me leaving 1 star off I was not impressed lol
google avatar

Kee K.

Yelp
This is an ok experience if you want dinner and a movie. Even though their online ticketing system says to arrive 30 minutes early, they don't actually allow you to go into the theatre at that point. The food service was pretty slow and uneven. Our drinks and silverware arrived 20 minutes after our food The servers came to collect checks and close out tabs right in the final act of the movie instead of waiting until the credits or allowing you to close it out when you order. This is fine for a slower paced movie. I would not recommend seeing anything fast paced here as you might miss important things with constant interruptions from the servers. I had a a BBQ pizza and Margarita the bass was so loud it actually knocked my food off the table. Oh well, Batman was worth it. Won't be back though.

Yelp
Movie and lunch for 2 We have not been here for a while, since before pandemic times. We arrived right on time for a 3:30 showtime. We checked in our tickets and headed to our seats. I forgot their seats do not recline; I have become a little spoiled by other dine-in theaters. We quickly pushed the button to place our food and drink order. This is one of the places that still lets you order from your seat. I ordered the Quesadilla with the side tortilla chips and a 22 ounce Hazy Like a Fox craft beer. Wifey ordered the Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Potato Fries and Blue Moon beer. Somehow, the order got screwed up. My Quesadilla came with fries, instead of the chips and Wifey's Blue Moon never made it on the original order. They added the Blue Moon and a huge appetizer-sized chips and salsa. They did not charge for the add-on chips and salsa. They were apologetic for all the mix-ups and overall, the food was good. 3.5 stars

Kiara M.

Yelp
Service is great and food is pretty good. Had the Meats pizza, pretzel bites and popcorn. The gourmet popcorn used to come in a basket. They should bring that back. Now it is the same popcorn you'd get at any theater in a big. Ambiance is always nice in my experience. Families enjoying the movies.
google avatar

Sasha M.

Yelp
So I'm going to try my best to not have my personal preferences make a biased review. So first, the establishment is clean and all of the workers were polite and welcoming. Audio: Nice and loud with some scenes being borderline deafening. Overall, great great surround system! Seating: Comfortable with ample room. So why 4 stars? The back and forth. So this is pretty much a full blown restaurant. With that said, there are servers walking back and forth throughout the entire movie and this entails all the things that comes with taking orders such as talking, bringing receipts, refills, etc. if you have ADD or simply just someone who is easily distracted good luck focusing on the movie. For people like me and those who I just described a normal theatre might be better for you! Once again, this is a personal preference so I tried to be fair and rate accordingly. FYI: No outside snacks. I saw them confiscate four people's food in a trash bag for sneaking in "outside food". They were extremely strict about this!

Yelp
Soon as I opened the door I got smacked in da face by a stank . Smelled like a boxing gym. Smelled like sweaty feet. Smelled like the mc Donald's indoor play pen in 2001. They need a carpet cleaning . Better yet just new carpet or something . I literally had my shirt pull over my nose . I couldnt breathe but Ian wanna be that guy to ruin what could've been a good movie. I opened the door for my lady and thought she farted . When the door opened the wind or air from AC rushed out so we smelt everything from 2 years ago. Fast forward, we was 15 minutes early so the attendant said we had to wait until the time the movie started. Which was weird . So we waited. I went to the restroom 5 mins before the movie was supposed to start . After using it I went to the sink and washed my hands and noticed a teenage kid(maybe 14 or 16) coming in . He went to a stall . I heard the toilet flesh . And he walked right out . Ion know what he did in the stall but he didn't wash his hands before returning to work . Not to mention , he worked with food. I came out and stared at him. All I could think was what he making my food bc I did plan to order something. Fast forward , I asked him to get the manager . The manager came . I continued to stare at the kid and asked, "are you gonna wash your hands ?" His response was as if he was shocked I knew . He kinda stuttered and said "oh , yea" and went back into the bathroom . The manager said it won't happen again but how dare hell would he know . So we went into the theater and found a seat . The seats were filthy . Food and ketchup stains on the tables . Grease stains in the seats. The floor had water or some kind of liquid on it. We immediately requested to have it cleaned. The girl(teenager) came to assist us and take our order. She sprayed the table cleaner at in angle that it hit me too. One of my pet peeves... and when she wiped the table , she wipe the crumbs off in my direction where I sat ... I can tell she was just inexperienced. She took hour orders and left. Maybe 5 mins later the previews started . Other people started coming in . The movie started and we still didn't have our food yet . We noticed other people who even ordered after us getting their food. 25-30 mins into the movie , our food finally came. Ima just be frank. The food alone was a 1 star . Popcorn was ok. But everything else was during the movie the lights kept flickering any time the base got. That was very cheap. At first I thought it was a movie defect lol. Then remembered this an't 3D. I'll never go back. They need renovations and experienced staff for dem prices . Oh and I was on a date so...

Yelp
The food was burnt, we didn't really care about that, until they charged us for it twice.

Yelp
I know the refund policy. It was technically difficultly, and we didn't make the show. Atleast we should have gotten free coupons like AMC theater does. No help just its not us taking your money its some other company. Lost money and never purchase online, wait until you arrive. A total rip off.

Yelp
This place has gone way downhill. It is too bad. The bar area is clean and spacious, but a whopping $12 for a mini bottle of cheap wine that filled up 1/4 of a small wine glass was very pathetic. The bartender gave me the mini bottle and didn't offer a glass until I asked. Weird. Once in the theater, my shoes started sticking to the floor and we had to move seats since so many of the tables with the chairs were sticky and were not cleaned. We rang the service bell on the table more than 5 times and no one ever came to our seat, so we gave up and we figured the food wouldn't be hygienic anyhow. Those that were served didn't get their orders till very late and lots of them seemed frustrated. Many other theaters, that are not full service theaters, have reclining seats that are much better than the squeaky non-reclining chairs that slightly rock at this theater. You are much better off heading to the Regal in Duluth next to Romeo's pizza or to Suwanee Movie Tavern.

Yelp
"18% gratuity will be added to all checks." I don't mind tipping but if you're already charging 18% gratuity on all checks that's basically stealing money from your guests. The food isn't that great to be doing all that. I understand this is to help the business stay afloat but that's just not right. I won't be back. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars and not 1 is because the server was very attentive and nice. I'm good though.

Yelp
Wow the seats are awful and very uncomfortable. None of them recline and are very hard. I'm going to have to see a chiropractor after this.

Yelp
It earned one single star for its service. The attendants are accommodating. Everything else, made me wished I had stayed home. We love the SMG-Alpharetta (North Point) and meeting friends at SMG-Duluth, I was embarrassed as soon as coming through the doors. The stench of a public toilet fumigated the whole indoor space. Totally lost our appetite for our food. And even stayed in our clothes after the 2-hour movie. So disgusting! And disappointing for this location. This location the seats, although comfortable, do not recline. You people in Duluth are getting gypped!! You guys are paying the same but your experience falls short. Speak up!!

Yelp
Bar drinks are way overpriced for well brand liquor, but the movie experience was great. Seats are comfortable and my service for my food ( gourmet popcorn) was good.

Yelp
#vegetarian - *DO NOT order the Vegetarian Burger, it is so not worth the expense. I got THE SMG BURGER - Your Choice of Protein, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions 14. So for the Protein, I got the Impossible Burger. Impossible™ Burger (+3.25). Then they add an extra 18% automatic gratuity. $14 + $3.25 + 18%. Way too much money for the skimpy, cold burger you get. My cold fries were also $3 + 18% gratuity. Please save your money. SMG is good for the $5 Tuesday Movies. Don't look like people are having the best experience with the food there - especially for what they charge. Eat before or after you go. One other thing - I needed to change seats 3 times - the bottom of the seat was broken/wobbly. Looks like they need to go through & tighten up/or fix their seats.

Yelp
I just wanted to say that a gentleman named Chris was so helpful. I was so impressed by his hospitality and attentiveness. He actually took his time explain how the theater operates and shared some really interesting facts about the facility. I was very pleased with my experience here.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Waited WELL over an hour for a large "gourmet " popcorn that was wet and cold and a chocolate milkshake after asking AT LEAST 5 different employees about it. First and last time at this establishment.

Yelp
This place gets the job done by being a hybrid between luxury like AMC in Buckhead and also the very cheap places like AMC Classics (like the one in North Dekalb Mall) and NCG. With that prices do rise. It is also in a great location near Costco and Royal China. Just located in a good area in general with Steve Reynolds Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road. Inside looks well and this place does offer food service with a press of a button as you watch your movies. Also a table/counter for everyone to put down anything. At the end of the movie, the employees offer mints. Overall I will come back and this place is just big, roomy, friendly, and etc. Clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
The ambiance is below standards! The chairs don't recline! The entrance to the theater is dirty! Something was on the movie theater screen! The air didn't smell right! The service was ok! The screen looked smaller than the screen! The food was not served until the middle of the movie!!

Yelp
I Loved the Tuesday half price movies! The food is pretty lousy and they don't allow you to bring in food or drinks. I ordered 2 fries it look like they made 1 portion and split it and my flatbread cheese pizza was burnt and tasted less.

Yelp
This location has really taken a hit. It used to be my favorite location to visit. They need to close down one day and spend the whole day cleaning and sanitizing. It smells musty as soon as you hit the front door
