Walked out. Came in there around 4:30 today, place is quiet, only four people at the bar and three tables with diners. Asked the bartender about the difference between the two Chardonnays. Without so much as looking up, he says, "two different wineries, I guess."
Uhm, okay. So, we went ahead and ordered that and some tacos and asked for two glasses of water. He poured the chard for my wife and then went about doing nothing much at all. Three people at the bar, 10 minutes later, and I walked and asked, can I at least get the water.
He says, I'm kind of busy right now.
Okay, now I'm annoyed, but sit. Then asked the waitress, who's standing around doing nothing, could I get two glasses of water, not sure what's taking so long. "Not my section," she says. And he's busy. Again, he wasn't doing much of anything.
Then I go to a guy and ask him if he's the bar manager. He says yes. I tell him the story. He barely looks up and say, 'he's a little behind.'
Last straw, about 1 minute later, someone else comes up and asks the original bartender for a glass of water, and he reaches right under the counter and pours one for him. Took three seconds.
I just looked at him and asked him why couldn't you do that for me. He says, without even looking up. "I was busy," and still doesn't pour us the water.
That's when we left. Three people, none very busy, couldn't care less, and did nothing to rectify. No, 'hey, I'm so sorry,' nothing. These folks couldn't have cared less and shouldn't be working in the service industry.
If you want to be treated with courtesy and elegance, which the prices in the place would suggest, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
