Stuff My Turkey

Let me begin by saying, I’m from Memphis but I reside on the west coast. This was my 14th time visiting Vegas and my first referral to this little gem in the desert! It was everything this little mid-south girl needed! The food was hot, seasoned, filling and the environment was clean and chill! As an added bonus I had my parents and sister with me flown in from the Bluff! We loved it! We had to get carry outs for the amount of food that rolled out of that kitchen! Please try them out when you’re in Vegas! What happened at this little place can’t stay in Vegas….thank me later and say hello to P!

Went this morning to pick up food and I was greeted by P, she was so sweet and friendly. I live about 30 mins away so food was reheated and still sooooooo good! My husband swears the catfish was the best he’s had. We split the sock-it-to-me cake, neither of us have ever had it before, delicious! The Mac was also delicious maybe a little too saucy for me but I would definitely get it again and ask for a little less sauce. Shrimp were good but I think a little expensive for 6 pieces.

Just waited 50 mins for a to go order. After being told it would be a 20 min wait…why even say that? Food was eh, cornbread was hard as a rock. My wife makes better yams. Nola Dirty Bird is mediocre and is not made the way I remember it. The Cajun sauce is thick and more like cheese rather than the sauce like I remember. Maybe it sat and hardened up since I was in there waiting so long 🤷🏾‍♂️ I live literally across the street so travel is not the problem. There were lots of visible crawfish, I want those submerged in sauce…After waiting that long and spending $85 you just expect more. Disappointing and unfortunately I won’t be returning 😔

We were in town from California for the new year and decided to give them a try. The atmosphere here was great. I love to eat at a restaurant that has good vibes. The music makes the wait worth it. Our service was great. We started with Sabrina ( lovely Scorpio) and Hailey assisted us throughout and they were both amazing. As far as the food, it was good. I ordered the catfish with Mac and cheese and okra. My partner has The raider, a turkey chop, topped with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, shrimp with a sweet sauce drizzle over the top. I also ordered a side of specialty wings (Georgia peach Hennessy wings), and some Kool aid. Let me start by saying we will be back. The menu was so overwhelming with delicious choices, we will have to go back and try a few more things. With that being said, the catfish was well cooked, crispy just needed a lil more seasoning but nothing a little hot sauce couldn't fix. Mac and cheese the same, just a little seasoning and it's great. The raider was really good, the sauce was just a little too sweet, but overall really good. The Kool aid did not miss! As far as the Georgia peach Hennessy wings, we were not a big fan of those. But if you like sweet wings, you may like these. Overall this place is really good. I highly recommend

Haley was an outstanding waitress and represented the restaurant well. She understands the need of the front of the house as a hostess and did a great job. Food was good but greens a little on the salty side. Overall service was great.

Overall, the experience was a 10 out of 10. The service was very prompt. Very good. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was very comfortable very diverse. The highlight was the Georgia peach Chicken and waffles.

We are visiting Vegas for the weekend from San Diego and we were craving soul food. There are no good options for soul food in SD. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by P, embodies the epitome of southern hospitality. I got the chicken wings, Mac n cheese, candied yams and a side of fried green tomatoes. My husband got the catfish, dirty rice with turkey sausage, yams and Mac n cheese. Food 12/10! Yams were perfect texture, not overcooked like 90% of the soul food restaurants we’ve been to, green tomatoes were fried to perfection, chicken wings crisp and seasoned, Mac and cheese was great, corn bread muffin was drizzled with honey, dirty rice was really good too! We will be bookmarking this spot as our go-to while in Vegas!

I’ve been to this restaurant more than once, and it never disappoints. My favorite hostess and server, P (or as I call her, Peaches), always brings the best energy and ensures a wholesome dining experience. The food is consistently packed with flavor, and the portions are generous. My only hope is that they ease up on the prices a little—hahaha—but overall, it’s worth it for the quality and service!
