Have heard great things about this place (as far as food goes anyways; not a drinker, so didn't come for the beer), but left pretty disappointed.
First of all, parking is real limited, so expect to have to park across the street and cross. Not a huge deal, but traffic on that section of River Road can be scary to have to navigate, so be warned. The actual location is super cool though. Nice atmosphere, a bunch of tvs playing sports, and the back deck area is beautiful. You can even go down to the river if you want, and they have a dedicated spot for (well behaved and friendly!) dogs. Staff seemed super friendly as well.
For food, you order at a dedicated station, get given a buzzer, and then wait to go grab it. The group got a couple burgers and a brisket sandwich. For drinks, you've got to go up to the bar and order what you want. We ended up waiting nearly 45 minutes for our food to be ready, and it was definitely not worth it. As a note, this WAS during a bunch of football games, so I can understand a bit of a longer wait, but not that long!
The burgers were super basic with almost no flavor (clearly just the cheapest frozen patties they could use). They were also criminally small. Same with the cafeteria-tier buns. The normal fries were alright, and the garlic fries were mostly ok, but not only do you only get a fairly small portion, the garlic fries were soaked and pretty mushy by the time we got to eating them. The brisket sandwich was OK, but was pretty dry, and for something like $20+, just wasn't worth it (at least the burgers were only like $12.50, which is a steal compared to some places nowadays).
Obviously, I'm sure if you're going there to sample the beers, having basic pub food is all you need, but if your main reason to go is for food, I'd recommend elsewhere (the restaurant at the Northwood Golf Course 10min up the road is FAR better).
