"Ariel Alexander and Cody Maze launched Stuntpig as a food truck in 2020. Their celebration of smoked and cured meats (plus some vegetarian options) in sandwich form quickly became a sensation at Pittsburgh-area breweries and events. Earlier this year, the couple opened a brick-and-mortar version of the now-retired “Pig Rig,” serving a rotating menu of killer handhelds such as Mr. Orange (smoked chicken, peri-peri sauce, pickles), Pitt Beef (smoked and shaved beef, thin vidalia onions, tiger sauce) and Madonia’s Muffuletta. Expect a small selection of handmade sides. The super-herby potato salad is especially good." - Melissa McCart, Hal B. Klein

I’ve had Mr. Orange, Murray Turkey, Lil Jawn, Pit Beef, the wings (chicken, pig), the salads (potato, pretzel jello), and I have been AMAZED by each and every visit. No one seems to have a dedication to flavor and authenticity like Stuntpig does, and it shows throughout their rotating menu and commitment to outstanding taste!

Stopped by for lunch. I was surprised that there was no line, we have been hearing about their sandwhich for a while. We were greeted by the owner who walked us through the menu. My wife and I each ordered a sandwich. She ordered the Pitt Beef, and I ordered the Lil Jawn. Both sandwiches were awesome. I also enjoyed the ginger ale they had available. Hope to come back soon! 100% recommended!

Delicious, complex, so many layers! Of flavor and just things!! The pickles in my Mr. Orange balance out the spiciness and add a crunch, just perfect! Pictured: Pitt Beef features horseradish cream! 😋

Mr. Orange, you drippy mess. For when I eat you, I begin to sweat. Your toasted bun, with sesame seeds. Homemade peri-peri and pickled greens. You’re made with love from two great chefs, and when I’m done, there’s nothing left. I will dream of you when I’m lying down to sleep. I’ll be counting pigs while yinz are counting sheep. Next time I come, you know my order. From the old pig rig to brick and mortar. You two are amazing. Don’t change a thing. I’ve been supporting you guys for years, and many more to come. With all my love from Leechburg.

Small but mighty. Limited seating with robust take out business. Cheerful helpful staff. Good tunes. Fast service. Orders generally prepared in 10 minutes. Happy we heard about the pierogis, which will soon be added to the printed menu - they were local, classic potato and cheddar AND delicious with perfect side of sautéed onions and sour cream. Glad we tried this restaurant. We will return. Good addition to the cuisine in the neighborhood!

Had the Fez. No exaggeration, best meatball sub I’ve ever had in my life! Potato salad was perfect. Just the right amount of dill. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the sandwiches! The tofu Mr. Orange also made for a very happy vegetarian.

For the past few years I’ve only heard amazing things about Stunt Pig as a food truck, but I never managed to get to them in time to try it before it was sold out. I was so excited to grab a massive lunch from their storefront last weekend and it was so good I had to go back this weekend! The lil jawn is one of the most amazing sandwiches I’ve ever eaten - the broccoli rob is a nice crunchy and complimentary taste to the savory pork and provolone on a perfectly toasted buttery bun. 10/10 recommend.

If you haven’t been to Stuntpig while they were a food truck or since they opened, you can’t miss them. They combine unique flavors, lots of international flavors and use of pickling and brine is so good. I got the Murray Turkey and it’s one of the best turkey sandwiches I’ve ever had, the Romesco was so nice, the pickled onions and cucumbers with the shallot vinaigrette was amazing and refreshing with the smoked turkey. I also got the hot shot peppers as a side, pickled peppers stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella and they were so good, tangy and spicy. My wife got her favorite sandwich the Pitt beef but said my sandwich might finally dethrone it! It’s a small shop run by amazing people please go support them they’re awesome and no one does sandwiches even remotely like them.
