Sture

The Swedish food was not as good as I've had elsewhere in the city of Malmö. The meatballs were tasteless, with too much onion, carrying a condensed texture like a frozen store bought meatball. The sauce for the meatballs was way too sweet. The lingonberries had no sauce, were sweet and dry, but seemed rehydrated. The mashed potatoes were flavorful but tasted like they were premade. While that dish fell flat, I'd say the veal cutlet (schnitzel) was ok- but the capers, lemon, and anchovy butter carried the dish and without mixing it all together with each bite the schnitzel would have been not that great as well. I give this food an 'it's okay'. Spent roughly $80. Ending on a positive note, the oysters that we ordered were delicious.

Bistro in the city centre since 1912 though the interior has been considerably modernised since then. Decent food at good prices for this part of the world. Atmosphere a bit lacking - maybe it was because we were here in mid afternoon on a Sunday. Fish soup - 235 Swedish kroner Meatballs- 245 kroner. Friendly service.

We visited Sture today and had a good experience overall. The köttbullar were tasty and well-made. The tables are set pretty close together, so I imagine it could get quite noisy if the restaurant is full, but today it wasn’t very busy and we got a table right away. Service was friendly but nothing extraordinary. The coffee was nice, though not the best I’ve had. One cool detail: the cola is not regular Coca-Cola, but instead a Belgian brand that tasted really good and was a positive surprise. Also, the sauces are not standard mayo or ketchup—they tasted homemade and were definitely a highlight. There’s also a big selection of alcoholic drinks for those who are interested.

Such a lovely and beautiful restaurant ! Good atmosphere & lovely decorations. The food was beyond delicious 😋 and tasteful. WOW. Thank you to the amazing cooks. The waiters were very friendly and did a super great service. Thanks to all of them. Ww didn’t wait long for anything and loved it. We will definitely come again.

A French bistro close to the railway station. The menu is small but solid. Service is kind. No music so you can talk and enjoy it.

Mixed vibes at Sture. The fish traditional soup was just ok and came in a small portion for the price. The meatball dishes, though, were on point. The prices are high for what you get, especially considering the portion sizes. And yeah, the pretentious vibe didn't exactly make the experience more enjoyable, the waiters are far from friendly or helpful.

We visited the restaurant on Valentines day. The menu is mostly designed around the swedish cuisine. The food we ordered was well served and good. The problem started when we finished eating and were about to leave. I asked for the receipt and payed by card. The waitress insisted that the payment didn’t go through then made me pay again. Even though I showed her my bank statement she didn’t believe me so I payed again. Well, things can happen with their terminal and my bank so we just went along. The next day I realized that the price of the dinner was deducted from my account two times. Since then I have contacted them multiple times regarding the case but I STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED ANY OF MY MONEY. An overall terrible experience.

Very beautiful polished restaurant, beautiful ambient. Maybe it is not cheap but it is worth every krona. Staff is very polite. Food is absolutely delicious, mind-blowingly good and tasty. We had fish and morsel stew, meatballs and schnitzel, and every course was excellent. Portions sizes were fairly big, you can get more than enough. Absolutely would recommend.

The long running fancy Vendel at Sturehof was closed a while back to be replaced by simpler bistro and meat restaurant Sture. The same people are behind it but they have now managed to revitalize things and have created a restaurant where I do at least feel very much at ease at and I do know that whatever I will be served it will taste good. The food is often not complex and perhaps not the most creative either but they do only use high quality products so most things will be just great as the chefs truly know what they are doing. The food may be a bit heavy but it is definitely in the Swedish tradition of things and I am myself fond of this type of food. They have also done an excellent job of finding good beer and wine to match the food. They also carry it all the way be serving good coffee as well.

We had thick skirt with potato mash. The food was excellent, the meat perfectly cooked. One of the waitresses was a bit rude but the other one was kind and helpful.
