"New to NoDa’s former Salvador Deli address, Stu’s Barrel House serves up a relaxed interior (complete with a stage for live music), plus patio seating and creative craft cocktails. Try the House Old Fashioned, showcasing demerara, orange and angostura bitters, garnished with a house-candied orange slice." - Katie Toussaint

The bartenders are great and I really want to like the establishment, we wanted to participate in Karaoke and the DJ man kept skipping our group and other customers who wanted to sing and would do his own songs. this caused majority of the customers to leave quickly after coming in. I understand that only so many people can sing but when the employee is clearly under the influence of something and sings songs between every customer it kinda defeats the purpose and makes the experience unenjoyable. I noticed he was rude to other customers. The bar has the potential to be very popular and can pull good crowds with karaoke but these issues need to be addressed. overall my constructive criticism is to put your customers first and have a efficient system of getting people in and off the stage. The DJ should be more professional, kind to customers and possibly freshen up before coming to work.

Was there Saturday night 5/10 at 11:50pm. Security guard and the female bartender there were very kind. My friends & I were enjoying the vibes of karaoke night for her birthday celebration. We signed up twice to go up for karaoke, it wasn’t until over an hour of waiting to be called up that we had realized our names were crossed off the list completely. During the time we thought we had yet to be called, we made our way up to the end of the bar near the stage area awaiting our turn. The older looking white male employee in charge of the karaoke rotation with the curled mustache went up to perform. Mid performance he eyed me down & came off the stage as if trying to serenade/hit on me. I made it CRYSTAL CLEAR just how uncomfortable I was & he would NOT back off. As he would not back off my friend had to physically put her body between us and it wasnt until then that he finally retreated back to the stage. We shrugged his creepy behavior off as we were still trying to enjoy the night for her birthday. After another 20 minutes or so we finally brought it up to their attention that we had been skipped and crossed off multiple times on the list, so they allowed us to go on stage. I kid you not that same employee trying to make his move on me earlier cut our song off after about 20 seconds and immediately put on the next one. We were the only people that had happened to for the entire duration we were there. One couple sexually danced through their whole song, another belted out to Selena Quintanilla rolling her hips on stage, one woman was too drunk to follow along any of the words to bohemian rhapsody with her fly down, yet we were the only girls to be cut off mid song. The three of us there were fully convinced the employee running the show did this out of spite. It’s ridiculous that an employee made me feel so uncomfortable in that setting and further spoiled our night. When we had first arrived we were genuinely enjoying ourselves, however that one employee ensured we will not be back. We closed our tab and left immediately. Go anywhere else on Noda but here, especially if youre a younger female who is not looking to be objectified by an employee. If you do end up here, BEWARE of the caucasian employee with the curled mustache. You’ll recognize if you see him, insanely creepy vibes. As a group of people that also work in the hospitality industry, that was extremely unprofessional… we will be sure to spread the word. Id suggest Noda 101 for karaoke instead. Edit - After looking in to it further, had found out his name is R. P. Allen

Live time here. Great drinks and people. I gave one star for they don't have food.

Good atmosphere and friendly service. Price point is reasonable. The only thing to be aware of is the hours aren’t exactly the same as Google Maps lists for all parts of the location.

Great signature cocktails. I like this place a little better on weeknights when the pace is a little more mellow and the crowds aren't too large. When your servers get to take the time and actually chat with you, they have great insight and suggestions. I've never had a drink I didn't like or a bartender who wasn't pleasant. They bring a good level of upscale to NODA for a reasonable price.

The cocktails are pretty good and the bartenders are friendly enough. We, being 2 of 4 people in the place asked to have the Carolina duke volume turned on (both couples were asking) but the owner said it would ruin the vibe. We then got food from jack beagles and as as good as usual. As other customers arrived they asked for the channel to be changed to the duke Carolina game, hardly seemed to ruin the vibe but increase it

I have to say that it was my first and last time to come to this establishment. The service was mediocre and as I attempted to request the bartender to provide an item he continued to intentionally ignoring me. Another person had to step in and order it for me. But again, this type of service should not be happening.

Yelp
With so many breweries popping up, it's nice to have a bar dedicated to inventive cocktails without the strict dress code! (And with slightly lower prices than a fancy cocktail can run Uptown.) I loved their Winter menu. A few friends of mine enjoyed their tequila infused drinks, while I really loved my Toasted Coconut Coffee: it has subtle hints of coconut with Charlotte's local Pure Intentions Coffee Cold Brew, coconut cream, cinnamon and clove syrup, and Nikolai Vodka. I was super impressed with the taste and that it didn't taste like straight up vodka (which some of the fancy cocktails can sometimes do) but also didn't taste like just mixers. Their menu is only a few pages but spans wide enough and creatively enough that everyone in your party will find something they like. The space is great, lots of room, tables and chairs outside and inside, and a small bar area with a few TVs for those that still want to catch some sports games while sipping from a Martini glass. On nice days, they open the side garage door so you feel like you're sitting outside but have all the comforts of being inside. Service was great. Someone made sure to come by and check on us often, yet not too over-bearingly.

Yelp
This place has good music on weekends and I think even does karaoke. The bartender is super nice and carries a good conversation. She helped me pick a good wine to drink when I was opting out of the cocktails. The drinks are pretty expensive, but are of good quality. So, I other words, you get what you pay for. It's a nice place and I would definitely be back.

Yelp
Stus is a neat little concept that's a great addition to the NoDa neighborhood. A place that doesn't totally revolve around craft beer but still has some solid choices if you still want some. The bartenders can really mix up some stiff drinks here and make them taste down right amazing! Don't miss their brunch cocktails! I really like the vibe here that Stus gives off. A really open concept that's borderline club but still a neighborhood bar at heart. The ambience is very chill with a mix of inside and outside seating. They have patios to the left and directly in front of the bar. On a perfect evening when the temperatures are right they crank open the roll up windows and it feels like you are drinking right in the middle of everything that's happening in NoDa. Come and relax and hang out with some friends or grab a seat and people watch as everyone goes by Stus! A relatively new place that is etching it's print into the artsy distric of Charlotte!

Yelp
Stu's is a great addition to the neighborhood of Noda. My Fiancé and I were walking by and saw a new bar. We decided to check it out. I am so glad we went in. They have a decent list of beers with all different styles. But what was the best is their cocktails. They were amazing! We got the death by chocolate and the Snow White's Dead. The death by chocolate had great flavor as I could taste every flavor and ingredient that they put in, the chocolate made it a great drink! The Snow White's Dead also was amazing and strong! The staff is very friendly and helpful when trying to decide what cocktail to get. They have a ton of different kinds too. It looks like when it is warmer out they will have outdoor seating with an open space to go in and out of the bar. The bar also has plugs and usb ports for those that need charging. It is very casual here and would be a great time to grab a drink and hang out. I cannot wait to go back and try other cocktails!

Yelp
The drinks here are just fabulous. Love the combo of the relatively casual atmosphere with elevated craft cocktails. Don't expect this to be somewhere you will get a drink super fast, unless you just want a draft or bottle beer, but the wait is well worth it!

Yelp
Went into this bar the other night for a drink and it was pretty good. The space is open and tasteful. There was a DJ that night playing some good music, but it wasn't too loud, which was nice. My husband and I ordered PBR, which was $3 for a tall boy. I didn't get to look at the prices for the other beers though. The cocktail menu was on the table and those ranged from $9-$12. There were a few drinks with lavender which I definitely want to go back and try! The bartenders were nice and attentive. The spot has a great outside patio for larger groups! There is a dart board inside too. Overall, it is a good place to stop for a drink or spend the evening on the patio watching people walk by in the neighborhood. Enjoyed our visit!

Yelp
Best drinks I've had in awhile! Presentation is so pretty for each drink. Highly recommend! Cool spot right outside to play corn hole too!

Yelp
Drinks made naturally with honey rather than simple syrup, real lime. Best margarita ever! Thank you Lena.

Yelp
Unicorn Tears is the best cocktail in all of Charlotte and I have lived here for 10+ years

Yelp
I absolutely can not believe all the good reviews here!! I have come to this place twice now and both times we have left because we have not received service!! We have gone up to the bar, looked through all of the beverage menus, decided on what we wanted and then just ended up leaving because no one even acknowledges that we are there. It's crazy!! Last night the bartender was at the end of the bar talking to a friend the entire time. She only came over to ask us if we were ready when we were gathering our purses and standing up to leave. We sat there and were ignored for so long. By that point it's over, you lost us. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Jack Beagles and Billy Jack's are the way to go. They both have excellent service and delicious food. It's sad because this place seems like it would be cool and the cocktails look like they would be delicious if you could ever get someone to even take your order.
