Daytime-only comfort from a stalwart cafeteria‑style comedor: chilaquiles, enchiladas, sopapillas with honey, and weekend menudo. A steady presence on local listings, it’s the kind of low‑key spot where El Paso families gather for simple plates done right.

Not far off the interstate. Very clean and accommodating to our seating needs. Quick to get our food ordered and served. Large servings. Plus comes with a sopapilla for each person.

Hilda our waitress was super attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and had a welcoming environment. I recommend this restaurant for small groups and families. My burger was great!

Had not been here before but I sure felt at home. I felt like I went back 30 years to LEOs Mexican restaurant. I ordered the Mexican plate and it sure was good. I'll be back to try the green 💚 enchiladas and the mole. I saw a person next to me ordering that and it looked good. The service was really good and the atmosphere was nice and chill 😎. I will definitely be back soon. Oh, sopapillas were also really good. Try it and judge for yourself. Some authentic, some Tex-Mex, all great 👍 👌.

Google
Been coming here for years the food is excellent better than L&J ‘s and Carlos and Mickey’s. It’s a simple place not much to it but the service is top notch! And at the end of your meal they ask you if you want sopaipillas and it’s included with your meal. A must place to eat great Mexican food!

Denise Servo

Google
Hole in the wall type restaurant. Food is good and consistent, you get sopaipillas with the meal, which is the best part! They're super fast which makes it a great lunch spot. Affordable prices and the staff are great, friendly, and attentive.

My husband and I ordered the tacos dorados. We asked for them, Xtra crispy, we had to wait a bit longer for our food, but let me just say, it was well worth the wait. Xtra crispy they were, and delicious! We also ordered the carnitas, which were very tender. Definitely recommended. We will return with the family. Thank you for a great service and atmosphere. Xtra points for the clean bathrooms!! 👌

First time placing a to go order, will definitely come back to dine in! Food was amazing, service was spectacular! Above and beyond!!!! 10/10 recommend you give them a try!

Google
Amazing food! Loved everything! Definitely the nicest staff I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with! Ask for extra chips 😬😬. Ordered the #5 and was not disappointed ⭐️! They also bring out a cool fried flour desert you eat with some type of syrup 🤤. Can’t wait to go again!

Yelp
The food is great! I've ordered at least six different things off their menu and everything is wonderful. The service is good. The waitresses are friendly. And it's a good place to host a meeting. Their hours are limited to mainly lunch. But it's definitely a favorite.

Yelp
Still the best Mexican restaurant in El Paso! A must whenever I visit! Wonderful food, friendly service, and a very clean restaurant.

Yelp
This is really a great family-cafétéria style Mexican restaurant. Ample space, repaid and efficient service. Great salsa and chips to start. I had a business meeting with my CPA Robert, who has been coming here for decades. The restaurant still has two Mediterranean dishes on their menu including some kebabs. Their lunch special is really a great value with delicious crunchy tacos and some enchiladas. It was rich and delicious! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
The was a business meeting and our clients chose this place for lunch! It was quite crowded for lunch but we had a good spot for the 6 of us. Our server, Jessica was really great!!! She was on top of everything. It was a joy to have her serve us. I couldn't tell you what everyone had but everyone was pleased with their lunch meal. In my opinion this is a must try and I don't think you would be disappointed.

Yelp
A local favorite for 75 years, and I'm happy to report that two years after the change in ownership, the warm welcomes and food remain consistently excellent. While there are many Mexican border staples, the history of Su Casa runs through the Middle East, so you can indulge in spinach pies, kibbe, and the Jerusalem Chicken is outstanding and must be ordered an hour ahead. The crisp shell beef tacos, carne molida, may possibly be the best you have ever had.

Yelp
The food was absolutely filling and delicious. The service was fantastic. Try the number 34, it's amazing.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Nice clean restaurant with a large menu!

Yelp
Food is delicious, service is great and people are very friendly. Ambiance is mellow and calm. Great place to have good Mexican food. Enchiladas are my fav.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. The food is so good and the family is wonderful. I wish the hours were better but worth the trip for lunch. Tucked away in a low traffic area, but a hidden gem.

Yelp
Went for takeout yesterday. Hadn't been there since new owners took over. Beans were too salty and the tostadas and sopapillas did not taste fresh. Salsa is still good but prices have increased and they added a surcharge which is not mentioned or posted anywhere. Disappointing as it was always so good before and food all fresh. Won't be going back.
google avatar

Yelp
The chips are perfectly sized, perfectly crunchy and the salsa packs in the right texture and heat to keep you dipping (no double dipping!). Do yourself a favor and order the queso. The long green chile slices are amazing. Everything I've had on the menu has satisfied my craving for authentic El Paso-style Mexican food. The tacos and enchiladas have been my favorites. The sopapillas are airy and delicate! The owner also makes the best tabbouleh and hummus, btw!

Veronica A.

Yelp
Best Mexican food hands down. Extra friendly service. Located in central El Paso it is a very convenient location.

Yelp
What a disappointment. I've been in town ten days and craving Chile Colorado. Unfortunately my favorite El Paso Mexican food restaurant, Kiki's, is closed on Tuesdays. I've been to Su Casa before and have enjoyed their food but today's selection, Chile Colorado, was a disaster. The beef was thinly sliced (I prefer chunks) and tough. The red sauce tasted of way too much Chile powder and not real red Chile. At least side of refried beans was good. The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive with frequent returns to refill my water glass. In retrospect I should have refused to eat what was served and asked for a substitution. Nothing special about the ambiance - relatively plain but it was clean, which is good. I'll probably return to this restaurant on subsequent trips but only if other people prefer it. One star.

Yelp
WE search everywhere for GREAT Texas Chilli. (If you read this and know a Place, PLEASE let us know!) An online Post suggested Su Casa and based upon what we'd read (and the moderate Lunch Crowd) we expected a great meal. Sadly, from our different Apps to the Chilli to our different Entrees, the only consistent Flavor was NONE. If one imagined Mexican Frozen Foods, each and every thing we were Served had almost ZERO Flavor. I can't even remember the last Time eating out where I used Salt on EVERYTHING! The Chilli was watery and without Spice, Sweeties' Carnitas were flavorless as were my Enchiladas. It WAS shocking that in El Paso such Food Mejicano could be served? And saddest of ALL, when I went to pay our Check, a Manager appeared and asked "How was everything?" I said "So So!" and he heard me, rang up our Check and simply did not care. CLEARLY, Su Casa has Fans and Regulars but we remain SHOCKED that their Food was so DULL and Flavorless. PLEASE fix this as it's SAD!!!

Yelp
Never returning. The beans tasted straight up like lard. The rice was dry and flavorless. The sopapillas didn't have any flavor at all. It was just fried dough. It was just all around terrible food. Service was good.
google avatar

Kristin M.

Yelp
Service was super quick! The owner is very nice and friendly. Chips and drinks just kept coming. Food is amazing and authentic. The carnitas and mole are very recommended. Great place for families and big parties.
google avatar

Yelp
I love their tacos! My husband and I have a lunch date here about once a month and while we have tried a few other dishes, the tacos and tortilla soup are my favorite. We sit at the same table and always have the same servers. They are so friendly and remember our order when we come in! Recently we ventured out for take out during the pandemic. I didn't get a picture but the way they boxed everything up, but it was so well done! Chips, salsa, and of course the sopapillas were included! Thank you Su Casa!

Yelp
Just an update ... a quick lunch at an old fave. It's a Mexican place but they are so much more!!! The also have some LEBANESE OPTIONS, if you are craving Kebby or Tabouli! This was their triple decker club, with grilled Chicken breast, grilled ham, bacon. Two layers of crisp lettuce and tomatoes, melty American and I believe Jack cheese. And a MOUNTAIN of hot crispy fries for just $895!?! Yes! I also got the CUP, (yes this is the SMALL!) chicken and rice soup for just $3.95. It was almost too much for a "light lunch". But that's only Around $13 for lunch. Honestly either item ALONE would be a great quick affordable one. Don't SLEEP on this lunch time only spot on Yandell in Central. Only open from 11-2:30 M-Sat. Your tummy and your wallet will THANK YOU!!

Yelp
Easily one of El Paso's best Mexican restaurants that not enough people know about. The most reasonable prices in town and good quality hot and delicious Mexican food. The service is fantastic, your glass will never be empty nor will your bowl of complimentary chips and (very good) salsa. It also has that great classic 60's 70's decor, wrought iron and yellow bubble glass chandeliers and red leather booths. A+. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Soooo yummy. I love this restaurant. Their food is always scrumptious and hot and fresh. Our server was friendly and welcoming. I work on the east side so it's rare I'm able to be in the area for lunch, but once the stars align, I have no qualms choosing to eat here. Sorry our plates aren't the beautiful yummy looking ones they were when we were served. I was starving and we just dug in before taking a pic. If you're in the area I highly HIGHLY recommend eating here. They're also open on Saturday until 2:30 p.m., in case you can't stop in during the week.

Yelp
Really nuce and clean restaurant with nice table spacing. Probably the best service we've experienced! Lunch was out quickly and was very good. We both ordered the Chile Con Queso Steak. The sopapillas were served piping hot. They were delicious as well. The tostadas were an insult to the delicious salsa.

Yelp
This place never fails. Every time is a home run. Food, service, everything! Not fancy, but the textbook definition of a neighborhood place where locals and regulars meet and eat. Every time I'm in town, I never miss an opportunity to stop by! Always a delicious joy! Thank you for being consistent and dependable.

Dan M.

Yelp
Food - excellent Service - warm and friendly Negative issue - surcharge on the ticket. Unfortunately Su Casa now surcharges your bill 5%. This is a practice in large towns but unfortunately it is happening now in El Paso. So, go back? Sure! Just remember that whatever the menu says, add 5%. And no, there is NO signage or menu mention of the surcharge.

Yelp
This is Central's hidden jewel!! From the greeter to authentic Tias and abuelitas workIng the kitchen, this place is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants. From the Caldo to the FREE sopapillas at the end of the meal, this place rocks!! Try it, you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
found another hidden gem in central and my first time here. Word of mouth travels quickly I came the next day lol. In the mood for gorditas and this gigantic plate came out. Rice and beans were delicious like a home cooked meal. Gorditas were fat and full of meat and potatoes. Very delicious meal. My companions had the lunch special which was the enchilada plate; no complaint on that either. I will be back again very soon.

Yelp
My co-workers and I stopped into Su-Casa Restaurant for lunch after reading all the rave reviews. It is a neighborhood Mexican restaurant that is open only during lunch hours (besides Friday: open until 7:00pm and closed on the weekends). When we arrived, the restaurant was extremely busy but we seemed to be able to grab a seat right away. I opted for the combo plate which came with rice, beans, chicken taco, chili rellenos, and a chicken tamale. I didn't really enjoy the chicken taco because the chicken was extremely dry and lacked flavor. Also, the hard shell was more chewy than crispy. But I did enjoy the chili rellenos and the tamale. They had good texture and great flavor. The star of the lunch was the free sopaipilla (pillow shaped fried dough) that was accompanied with our meal. The dough is fried perfectly: light and flakey. Drizzle some honey for some sweetness. The service here was phenomenal. The wait staff was extremely nice and efficient. There was always chip and salsa on the table, our drinks were always filled, and the food came out piping hot and at a decent time. If you're ever in the area, definitely stop by. This is where you can find some delicious local Mexican food.

Rachael H.

Yelp
Too busy eating to take a picture of our food. Came here for a Saturday lunch, based on a recommendation from our Uber driver. Did not disappointment. Food was so so good, so fresh, and authentic - my fav was the beef taco with fried tortilla and charro/barracho beans. So good. Definitely held up to its name, Su Casa, as we really felt like we were in a ma-and-pop shop. A wonderful experience, and our group all agreed this is where we would go to next time we came to El Paso.

Yelp

Yelp
This place is special. I could not have been more impressed from the moment I walked in. I remember even texting a friend that this was one of the best Mexican food / service experiences I have had. To start, my water or soda was never empty. The whole wait staff worked as one and it really showed in their service. The food was excellent. I got two chicken tacos with an enchilada. I highly recommend the enchilada. After the meal was over they asked us if we wanted a free desert that comes with all meals. Not 100 percent sure what it was. Some type of pastry with honey. Excellent. No complaints. Just go. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Man, I wish I had been here earlier in my time in El Paso. How am I just now visiting it?! I'll be back again and again. So I love kikis chips and salsa and it is my go to mexican. But I went last week and their chips were garbage, so we've been trying new place. My wife goes here for lunch a lot and I was able to join today and glad I was! First, chips and salsa are just about perfect. Spicy and kind of tangy salsa. More cilantro and lemon than many places. Was really quite good. The trick here is to order ala carts if you don't care about beans or rice. It's cheaper and you make your own combo. I got the red enchilada, green enchilada, and a Chile relleno for $7.50. Holy cow the red enchilada sauce is amazing! My wife dipped her taco in the extra sauce and I was using the table chips to scoop up as much as I could. If I didn't have good manners you would have seen me slurping the sauce of the plate. I'm wishing they were open right now, even though I'm in bed writing this, because I'd put on some sweat pants and crocs and go get some Su casa! Trust me, you'll love it!!!

Yelp
The moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile. My 4 year old and I were invited to sit wherever we'd like. We chose a small table behind the cashier. The owner came and spoke to my daughter which she adored. The waitress came over and got our drink order and shortly after came to get our food selection. My daughter got chicken nuggets (go figure), I ordered a combination plate that included rice, beans, small salad, cheese enchilada, cheese Chile relleno, a shredded beef tamale, and a beef taco! The food was brought out quickly. I started with the beef taco. The shell was gently fried. The flavor from the beef was superb. Not too salty. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of home. The Chile relleno was next. The pepper was tasty and not too spicy. That is the way that I like it. The batter was delicious as was the cheese. The tamale was great. The masa was fine. The shredded beef was tasty with a hint of spice. The cheese enchilada was to die for. Reminds me of grandma's cooking so there is not comparison. After our meal we were served 2 sopapillas that were nice and hot. There is honey on the table and that was an added bonus. Overall this was an amazing experience. Su Casa is quite a gem and I only wish I knew about it earlier in the 5 years I have had the pleasure to be living in El Paso. I will recommended to friends and family and we will definitely be returning here regularly.
google avatar

Rochelle B.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! The enchilada sauce is not too spicy but very flavorful. Really enjoyed the taco as well but the best part were the sopapillas! Not sure if I spelled that right but they are AWESOME!

Marcos V.

Yelp
I picked up two orders of tacos for my wife and her friend for lunch. Beautifully boxed and, of course, delicious. Order was ready right on time and I am very, very pleased. Great job, great food. Thank you, SU Casa.
google avatar

Jesus V.

Yelp
First time here.. Food was okay, nothing special. The chips for the salsa are made out of a thick corn tortilla so they chips are hard. I ordered the tacos and of course, are made out of the same thick tortilla so the tacos are hard. The beef used in them has too much cumins so the taste is strong of this seasoning. The interior looks run down with old tables, chairs and booths etc.
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
Laid back environment with great home style food. I had the number one which consisted of: meat enchilada (tasty), red child tamale (tasted good but not my favorite on this plate), chile relleno (delicious) and one beef taco (delicious). The price was perfect and didn't hurt the pocket.
google avatar

Louis L.

Yelp
This is my home meal away from home meal. Having said that, I have been coming here for over ten years - lunch at least 2x a week. The owners and our waitress, Bertha, always greet us and go out of their way to chat us up at our table. It was also here that I tried Baklava for the first time. Everything in the menu is great. But be sure to save enough room for the sopapillas. They are light and very tasty. In fact, I think that they are the best in El Paso. Overall, try this place ... You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

john s.

Yelp
This gringo's been to over 100 Mexican restaurants here in my hometown of El Paso, Tx. 'Su Casa' makes my top 5 easily. I've had everything on the menu twice but I keep coming back to the Cheese & bean nachos. PERFECTION!

R C.

Yelp
We've been eating at Su Casa for many years, never had a bad experience, or bad service. Food is always top notch!
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Excellent food and environment! It's Mexican food with a hint of Syrian, which makes it quite unique. A family owned and run establishment, so you may enter a stranger but certainly leave as a good friend or even family. This is a little out of the way, depending on where you are coming from, but it's worth the effort. At intersection of Yandell and Willow. Thanks Tony!
google avatar

M W.

Yelp
Place looks clean, food was decent, sopapillas were delicious! I ordered one chicken taco & one ground beef with beans and rice. Service was nice.

Antonio F.

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food in El Paso. You must try the green chile chicken enchiladas because they are the best in town.
google avatar

Megan W.

Yelp
I am not from El Paso so I guess I don't get the food here. I ate with a group of El Pasoans and they loved the food. This place was great for my diet since I didn't finish anything. The soup was ok. The chile relleno was covered in a gross sauce and stuffed with dish water ground beef. But like I said, my co-eater ate the same thing and liked it. Hmm. I will it be trusting an El Pasoan's taste buds from now on.
google avatar

Fran C.

Yelp
We always visit when we are on vacation from Virginia. The service is always great. Chips and salsa are great complimentary appetizers. The mexican combo plates are huge. Make sure you save room for the best sopaipillas! Miriam is the best server. This a local family-owned restaurant. They always roll out the red carpet for my in-laws.
google avatar

L Y.

Yelp
Best red enchiladas in El Paso!!! I love the a la carte red cheese enchiladas and chicken tacos too - tortillas are perfectly crispy with lots of delicious cheese. Pretty good salsa, okay tostadas (tortilla chips). Never really ordered much else bc prices for meals are kinda high. Pretty fast service unless they're really packed.
google avatar

Anastasia B.

Yelp
My usual is the Gorditas plate. Absolutely delicious and just super packed with cheese and tomato. Don't even get me started about those Sopapillas!!!
google avatar

Daniel O.

Yelp
Great Mexican food. We. We're regulars the 18 years we lived in El Paso. The chicken fajitas are my favorite. The caldo is great in the winter. The portions are large and the staff friendly.

Jamie F.

Yelp
Was in El Paso this past April, visiting a friend, and she took me to Su-Casa for lunch one day. The food was great and I have to say, their tortilla soup was the best I've ever had, hands down! With all the Mexican restaurants in this city, I highly recommend anyone to give Su-Casa a try before all others.
