Su Hotel | Best places to stay on Bodrum

"It’s a delightful surprise to come across this wonderful oasis on the backstreets of bustling Bodrum, the simple white-washed rooms with brightly painted balconies arranged around a central swimming pool lined by high palm trees. With its bar and shaded seating areas, it’s a thoroughly convivial set-up, where owner Zafer provides evening meals on request. With the waterfront just a ten-minute stroll away, the Su offers a wonderfully relaxing base within easy reach of Bodrum’s bars, boutiques and other attractions. " - Jeremy Seal

Absolutely amazing hotel. Small but beautiful. Lovely pool, and room was great, cleaned daily. In a quiet area but only 10 minutes walk to harbour and shops, restaurants. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The staff are all so lovely and really helpful and kind, so a huge thank you to Ali, Zafer, Christine, Burak, Cem, Kazim, Ceren, and Ayla... thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. I thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel.

We spent the past 5 nights at this cute hotel. Firstly, the staff are great: friendly, service-oriented, wanting to ensure your stay is a good one. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful: lots of flowers climbing up the balconies, trees, and other plants. The pool is super clean, one of the cleanest hotel pools I've swam. We had a larger suite. It was definitely enough space for us. The decor is cute. Everything is clean. The breakfast is lovely with all sorts of baked goods, cheeses, eggs, and fruit. We never went hungry. The hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the harbour and all the restaurants. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to friends!

We had a pleasant stay at Su Hotel. The rooms were clean and well-kept, and the pool area was a great place to relax. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the city center. One thing to note is that there’s no parking on the property—you’ll need to use a nearby paid parking lot called Alibaba Parking. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for comfort and easy access to the town.

A week into our 4 week stay here and we can say this is one of the loveliest, most serene and beautiful small boutique hotels we have been to in our travels in Europe and near Asia. The owners are amazing and so gracious and welcoming. They make you feel like family and their team of staff members bring service, attentiveness and hospitality to another level! Great breakfasts and they also have a wonderful bar and restaurant (their lamb chops are excellent!). Great location- close enough to all the shops, restaurants and marinas - but in a quit neighborhood that is peaceful and calm. Highly recommended in Bodrum!!

What a lucky and beautiful find! We loved this small colorful artsy boutique hotel in a quiet and safe neighborhood yet only ten minutes walk to the marina. Lovely staff and fabulous breakfast. The pool is perfectly situated and all rooms look out to it. We would absolutely stay again if we return to Bodrum.

We stayed at this hotel in mid-May for three nights. The hotel comprises a number of two storey units encircling a swimming pool, the planting is lush. There is a total of 25 rooms. Access for guests with mobility problems would be straightforward at ground floor level. We reached the hotel by taxi from the airport at a reduced rate (including tip) of 40 euros. We got the reduced rate because we were staying at the Hotel Su who seem to have an arrangement with certain taxis. Otherwise it may have been 10 euros more. Access by ferry and other public transportation would not be difficult but would require careful planning and not very much luggage! There appeared to be no private car parking. There is no conventional reception area but rather a small office with a hatch within the entry of the hotel. There are, however, a large bar/dining area, open-fronted to the pool, and a secondary dining area beside the entrance. Both are adequate for the size of hotel with comfortable seating. We stayed in a Junior Suite on the first floor tucked into one of the corners. The suite had a bedroom and a reasonably sized lounge with a balcony overlooking the pool. Both were functional and comfortable. There was a fridge (with water) and tea/coffee making facilities. There is no safe in the room but reception do provide secure storage. The suite was not luxurious but it was satisfactory for our stay. Both rooms were light and airy. Bed linen was good quality. The bathroom had a shower cubicle and was compact. It was clean and everything worked. We experienced no noise from inside or outside the room. We had no issues with fellow guests around the pool but believe that in high season it could be very noisy. Wifi was good. We needed to leave the hotel earlier than planned because of weather disruption to our ferry (the hotel management was most helpful in assisting us with extending our stay in our next hotel) but for the two days of our stay we felt that housekeeping could have been better. Whilst the bathroom was dealt with other areas, in the lounge and particularly on the balcony, were overlooked. We arrived late and the kitchen was closed but a snack was made available to us at the bar by very helpful staff. We took no other meals except for breakfast. This was fine and ample, but largely cold and taken from a self-service buffet. The hotel is very well located – set back from a main road down a pedestrian access (with bikes!). It is less than 10 minutes stroll to the Mausoleum and 15 minutes to the harbour. Once on the harbour there is a range of restaurants and the Bazaar. Staff were extremely helpful but some had only basic English – the main reception staff, however, were fluent. During our stay there were no large tour groups. This is a pleasant hotel, sensibly priced for the services it provides, with staff delivering a professional service. It is to be recommended.

Compared to 4 or 5 other hotels we stayed at on the Turkish coast, the Su Hotel (or Su Otel) struck a great balance between luxury and charm. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful courtyard location, decent room and good food. Also the best pool! Convenient location with 5 minute walk to waterfront, castle etc.
