Such a cool place where they reuse clothing to make new creations. They help environment by reusing clothes: community dye fabrics and recreate beautiful clothing and home accessories. I have not seen any concept like this in east coast. My daughter who attends fashion school in NYC loved this place. They were preparing events for $20 to fill up bag- next time we wil definitely come by for that event.

Love love love. There's nothing I love more than reuse and cool redefinition in the reuse. I started following Suay on IG a while back and when I realized I'd be in LA for their sample sale, it was a no-brainer. We arrived Saturday morning, 3-29-25 and walked into their ground floor shop. Immediately fell in love with lots of items, but decided to first go upstairs to the sample sale. I'm so glad I happened to wear form fitting track pants because it truly was simplest to just stand in place and try things on rather than wait for the 1 dressing room. Shirts, dresses, pants, jackets, all kinds of great stuff re-stitched, re-imagined, newly dyed, etc. The employees were helpful and the whole vibe was great. The Club Mend idea is also great - help to mend your own items and then of course the community dye program where you can choose colors from that month's palate and very affordably refresh your clothing item in a new color. I've really got to research if there's something like that here in the bay area...there must be, right? Anyway, I'll be back when I'm in the area for sure.

I cannot say enough good things about SUAY. We came from out of state and reluctantly made the trip after seeing their instagram reels. Expecting a tourist trap or overrated store we went in with low expectations. However these assumptions were far from reality. All the garments and items we saw were extremely high quality and “made” on site. On top of this the staff were all extremely kind and accommodating even allowing us to see the “factory” in the back. Only down side is prices BUT I think you get what you pay for. Highly recommend trying them out

Super cool shop! I loooove when folks take what could be waste or trash and make magic. Lots of creative things here. Lots of gifts. The price point is a little bit but everything has a story and a unique look. They even have a small industrial factory, they accept clothes and they have cool workshops and classes.

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ITEMS! I am beyond disappointed with my experience. I participated in a dye bath that I was very excited about, but the entire process turned into a nightmare. • My items were marked “ready for pickup” back in July. • I paid for shipping on August 5, and after MULTIPLE EMAILS AND CALLS couldn’t get someone to get back to me on tracking for 2 weeks. • when my items finally did arrive, my shirts were missing. • I sent multiple emails and followed up repeatedly, only to be ignored. • When I finally got through to a manager by phone, I was told there would be no help, no answers, no solution, and no game plan to make this right. This level of negligence and lack of accountability is unprofessional, unacceptable, and frankly insulting. To take customers’ money, lose their belongings, ignore communication, and then refuse to provide any resolution is appalling. If you value your items or expect basic professionalism, do not use this service.

I sent in 2 linen pillowcases and a matching duvet cover to get dyed. Only one of the two pillowcases was returned. When I reached out, they told me that one of them never arrived and they would give me a refund for the dyeing of the missing pillowcase. First off, this is absolutely not true, and I most certainly included both pillowcases in the package. Second.I sent this package in at the beginning of September, and received it back in October, when the September colors were no longer available. If they had not received an item that was part of a matching set (and paid for), as they claim, why did they not reach out right away instead of after the color was no longer available and nothing could be done to complete the set? They have not responded to my follow up email. This is a pretty crappy way to resolve this issue and now i'm stuck with a very pricey duvet and single pillowcase, what do I do with that?

Love their mission and what they're doing to curb waste and up cycle clothing. I brought in 3 items - top, tank top, and a strappy dress. They messaged me saying the tank top developed tears to the point where it was irreparable. This was pretty disappointing to hear because it was my mom's tank top she gave to me -- it's a plain white tank top that she's had for years. I picked up the other items and one of the straps on the dresses looked like it came off in the process so now it’s literally hanging on by a thread. Showed the photo to them and they said “it endured some wearing through the process, a pretty common occurrence"... So basically only 1 item came out not damaged. Honestly the process seems rough on clothing so I wouldn't recommend bringing any delicate clothing and just DIYing it yourself.

Wish I had done my research. I see someone else had their clothes lost. I too did a mail in order and have heard nothing since shipping. No response to my email. I will do a charge back but I'm irritated because my clothes are gone. I could have dyed them myself but I liked the mission and wanted to support. It was pricey and my gut said to not do it. Expensive lesson learned.
