Sub Center

These are the BEST subs you can eat in SFL. My brother lives in north Florida and when he’s in town, the first thing he wants is Sub Center. Been coming here since 1999. Highly recommended.

The food here is amazing, would recommend to try!! However, when the owner is not at the location, the staff is not friendly and they act lazy like people have all day to try to Order. They have several staff members, but it looks like only two are constantly making subs while the others are walking around looking lost or Prepping extra items instead of helping with the rush. I like the food, but sometimes I question coming back because of the staff And most of the staff have been there a long time.

I have seen this place for years because I go next-door for the custard ice cream my kids love. I had a friend bring me a sandwich recently it was steak and cheese. I had to go visit and get my own. The food is amazing. The staff was awesome very efficient it’s like a well oiled machine. They have all sorts of sub sandwiches.

I highly recommend this place to all the Sub Lovers out there. The sandwiches were delicious. The bread and all the toppings were fresh and crisp. It was neatly made and wrapped up. I guess my only complaint would be ordering and picking up your food. It can get really busy and convoluted in there. So, at times, it is difficult to order or pick up food. It's no biggie for me, but it might be for some other people. I've eaten Subs from all around the country in Delis, chains, and local joints.......oh I forgot Publix 😆 .👍👍

I have been meaning to come here since the 1980s. I used to live in miramar and for some reason or another, I would find something subpar nearby. This morning, I said that I would make the trek from northwest broward to Sub Center to satisfy my chicken bacon sub craving. Omg. This was an incredible experience. The 45 min drive was worth it. The workers were extremely friendly and welcoming. They walked my daughters and me through their NUMEROUS options. Soooo many toppings and sauces, the way it SHOULD be done. The food was made fresh, fast and was the best we have ever had! This statement is not made lightly. There was a place called Monster Subs on sunrise that closed a few years back. That place, when Solomon owned it, was good. Fresh bread, toppings etc. He sold it to a Muppet when he retired in the 2010s and she ran it into the ground. I was devastated and was stuck with the usual suspects- subway, laspadas, jersey mikes etc. None, including my beloved Monster Subs, compare to Sub Center. Wow. Just wow. Loved Sub Center. I wish I tried you decades ago.

Amazing ! Wish I got more chicken for paying &15 dollars for a salad alone though.

This place has been here for many, many years. I believe that since the 60s, it has always been family owned, and believe me when I tell you it will not disappoint you. They have in my opinion one of the best places in Broward County to have yourself a fresh delicious Authentic sub in the area it is by far my favorite place to have one they also have great tasting cookies. Staff is very friendly and all the food is very fresh you won't be disappointed you can call ahead or order online as well.

Food is great, however I recommend implementing some kind of system for order pick up rather than waiting for an opportunity to interrupt someone. Place is always busy and it isn’t always easy to grab and go with your sub. Also please stop using tin foil for meatball subs? I know it keeps it hot but it also rips all the cheese off the sub. This is my favorite sub spot. The staff is always on point and super energetic. Sometimes they'll have some good music on. Subs are always a hit with my friends and family they pretty much prepare it all in front of you. Downside is it's a little small and can get crowded easily when ordering but never had an issue. My fav thing about this place was the heath cookies, they are addicting. Sadly I don't think they're serving these anymore. I would literally buy them like 6 at a time. Definitely a recommended spot for subs !

They have the best philly cheesesteak sandwich in Florida. On the grill, they cook thin pieces of steak, bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms. I top my sandwich with melted ghost pepper cheddar cheese and provolone. Then hot pepper spread, jalapenos, banana peppers, spicy mayo, oil and vinegar. The sandwich is perfectly toasted and flavorful. Seriously you have to go a try this! We like to have the sandwich with chips, cookie, and soda. Super satisfying and hits the spot. Much better than publix, subway, jimmy johns, etc.

Best sandwiches in Florida!!!!!!!!!!!! Move over Pub Subs....Sub Center makes the tastiest and freshest subs to enjoy with family/friends! The Philly cheesesteak was loaded with mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers and cooked on the grill to perfection! I got ghost pepper cheese and provolone to melt on top. The employees are so nice and patiently ask what toppings you want. Everything is customised. We had white bread, spicy mayo, secret oil and vinegar, hot cherry peppers, and jalapeños. Sooooooooooooo good. We also had a chicken and bacon sub loaded with toppings (jalapeño peppers, mushrooms, bell peppers, spinach, olives, lettuce, cucumbers). Paired both with their watermelon soda and pineapple soda, the whole shabang seasoned potato chips, and warm red velvet chocolate chip cookies. The best!!!!!!!! They have a nice outdoor seating area with mosaic glass/ceramic tables and umbrellas.

I finally found it..(I couldn't quite remember the correct name? Our favorite Sub place to eat lunch after leaving the Beach, then heading back home!! These are the original Subs I ate, when I was like 12-18 yrs old. This is the place to eat a "Real Deal" Submarine sandwich (Eastcoast style) which is the Best ever! I live here in Las Vegas, and nothing here at all compares to these Sandwiches! They're large, hearty and satisfying more than anything that I've ever tried here in Vegas. Better than Capriotti's, & even better than Jersey Mike's. And that's alot to say? Keep it up, Sub Center!

Food was OK and the service was terrible. There were three gentleman in the back working in sync and a lady in the front who just yelled and had a nasty attitude the entire time. My husband said he was placing an order to go and she snapped at him to hold on. Then right after asked "ok what do you want" and as he was speaking she snapped again asking "Ok but what size". Shortly after we asked what was in the Italian, sometimes there's different meats, and her response was "it's an Italian". Very rude and just unpleasant. I ended up getting a roast beef - it was OK. My husband got the Philly which tasted like complete seasoning. Most likely won't be coming back.

Wow my boyfriend and I love the subs from here so much! They're so insanely delicious! The guys working there are great and always know how to make the perfect sub! I think this is honestly such a hidden gem and I wish it was closer to my house! Since it's small inside my boyfriend and I normally eat our subs together in our car and listen to music. It's always such a treat to make it here!

The guys inside were great and the sandwich was amazing. Don't rush and order, get the pamphlets and go in the back and take your time. Oh and ice cream place next door

My son wanted Philly cheesesteak after swimming at Hollywood beach and Came across this hole in the wall sandwich shop after reading some good reviews and sure enough it didn't disappoint. Wasn't able to take pictures since we were too hot and hungry already. You walk in and it's just a glass counter separating you and like 6 workers making sandwiches . They were pretty quick and came in around lunch time and still didn't take long for them to make 3 whole subs! They were huge and full of flavor. Couldn't finish in one sitting so we took half of it to take home. They only have outdoor sitting with umbrellas so sun won't be breaking on you while you devour your sandwich. If we're in the area again we'll be back for sure!

Those place is the best sub shop in south Florida! The consistency of both the great customer service as well as great food quality is top tier! The only thing I will say is that I hope they fix the A/C. The workers are doing amazingly but with all the machines going and the lack of space, it's still noticeably hot. Still, this place is 10/10 good! Definitely recommend.

This was my first time here. My mom took me because I'm NEVER in that area, and she said she used to love this place when she was pregnant with me (in the '70s NTM). So, of course, I was down for someone buying me lunch no matter the reason..... I'm quite greedy!! When I walked through the door, the smell of griddle-top-cooked goodness swept up and slapped me in the face!! It smelled so good in there that I couldn't decide what to try. Lucky for me, the service was top-tier! The gentleman who took our order just took a little extra time to make some great suggestions. Some restaurants have the most rude, impatient servers at the front, and my indecisiveness would've gotten me pushed to the side so that the next person could be helped. We ended up with 1 Pastrami and 1 Cheese Steak, and they were DEEELICIOUSSS!! The cheesesteak was made like chopped cheese, and I just loved every bite. I'll definitely be back. Gotta be sure to get jalapenos on it next time, tho. LOL

Visited Sub Center and I must say it's one of those sub spots that you can eat everyday! I got the 12" hot chicken sub with grilled mushrooms and ghost pepper cheese and it did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and guided me with all the choices that I had. Most sub shops are really rushed and really fast but maybe I came at a right time but the customer service was great. I even washed it down with a black cherry Dr. Brown which was a perfect match. Bonus- They also have a frozen custard place next door which I will be visiting next time. 8.9 out of 10

All I have to say is: WOW! This place is teeny tiny but the service is quick and there are about six tables outside for you to eat on if you're not taking your food to go. I felt like the prices were reasonable for the sub sizes.

Man I freaking love their subs. Skip Publix, go here. My favorite is the Pastrami with horsey sauce and spicy peppers. I add a lot of other fixings but it's great every time. So filling and they have a great selection of kettle cooked chips, which in my opinion, pair perfectly with this delicious sub. Always order in advance online if you can bcuz it's a popular local spot and there's always a wait. No seating inside but there's a few tables outside so you don't have to look far.

Who doesn't love a great sandwich? These guys make some of the best in town. Anytime I'm craving a cheesesteak, I know that Sub Center will soon be my destination. While the shop itself is pretty tiny - no interior seating, just a few racks for chips and a deli display - their sandwiches are massive and packed full of flavor. I've never had a bad experience here. Their ingredients taste fresh and they don't skimp on any of it. They make your food to order with freshly sliced meats and cheeses, and offer a slew of sauces you can add. The chipotle mayo is great, as is their house oil/vinegar blend. The sandwich constructors are hilarious, lots of fun banter can be heard while working multiple orders in unison. I particularly enjoy their zesty italian and their cheesesteak, my wife loved their turkey breast and bacon sub. All subs are fully customizable between cheeses, veggies, and sauces/condiments. They also have fountain and canned drinks as well as cookies and various chips. There are picnic tables with umbrellas available outside for seating. You can order ahead by calling them directly, or through the Chow Now app.

So Iwas driving by in between clients and had to stop when I saw it, was not dissapointed! The young lady behind the counter was amazing, Bert tuna sub i have ever had and everything else looked fire!!!

So I've been coming here for a while but food here is always good. My go to will forever be their Philly cheese steak. Every time I order it; it's been good no matter how you make it. Service is good. They try to get you in and out; I love the fact now you can order it online to where you just go and get it and leave. Cause it's always packed in the very small order area. I've tried their other subs like the chicken and bacon and it's good as well.

This small sub shop is heaven sent! I was craving a Philly cheesesteak & didn't want to settle for a mediocre chain. They're fast, friendly & the food is delicious! My sub was loaded with steak & the cheese was folded in so well. It's juicy & not dry at all. I'll definitely be a regular here.

This sub shop is next door to our favorite ice cream place (Siciliano's Frozen Custard). We always have wanted to try it. A bad incident about a month ago at around 9:30 p.m. prevented us from getting food. And we were angry. Last night, we found ourselves heading home to Central Broward from my Mom's North Miami condo and starving. We hadn't eaten since lunch at noon. We decided to get ice cream for dinner. And to get over the bad incident and get some subs. We ordered a pastrami with deli mustard and a Philly steak with swiss cheese and (well-cooked) peppers, onions, and mushrooms and took both subs home for a late dinner (eating our ice cream as we drove home). The 6-inch pastrami sub was OK. But it tasted kinda washed out. Not enough pastrami flavor for me. The Philly steak was filled with meat (it was a 12-inch sub) and the veggies were cooked well, as we had requested, and rolled into that thick, delicious wad of steak. Though the meat was a tad salty for me, it was delicious and filling. The best part was the bread. It's not the normal crusty sub bread. It's soft and tasty with each bite of it accentuating its contents. We ate so fast, I forgot to take photos. But you don't need them. Your taste buds will be the true critic of these subs.

This is your neighborhood divey sub shop that seems to be a local favorite. It was about 6 PM on a weekday and they had continuous customers coming in and out. They are located near the corner of Hollywood Blvd. & 441 in Hollywood, Florida. There is plenty of parking in the front and they have outdoor tables which is where we ate. This is a traditional sub shop offering hot and cold subs, salads, beverages, chips, and a few type of desserts. I enjoyed learning that this is a family owned business since 1961. I've been here once before years ago and really enjoyed it so since we were visiting someone in the area, I wanted to give it another try with the hopes I would enjoy it just as much as I did the first time. Although I enjoyed my sub, I remember it being better on my first visit. I ordered the chicken teriyaki sub, a small bag of chips and a medium soda. The tab came to $17 which I thought was pretty high. Overall okay place to grab a sub quickly.

This place is legit. Little hole in the wall with no seating, so you know it has to be good. The Phili is phenomenal.

Only ok. I saw the crazy line and the Wife wanted to go hear baddddd as she is a sandwich head! I wasn't impressed. I didn't eat it all and would more than likely not go back. The bread was ok, same for the Turkey and the fixings, nothing spectacular. However, I respect the brand and the reason there was a line, so no disrespect. It looks like a very basic sub shop from what I could see. No frills, just a menu and plenty of people cooking and assembling away.

We live locally and are always up for trying a new sub spot. Loved how you can order online ahead of time and track the status of the order. My fiancé loves the zesty Italian sub that is toasted. I got the chicken salad sandwich .. delicious. Only thing is I wish I had gotten some sauce on my sandwich because it was a bit bland. Chicken salad is literally just breast meat and Mayo. Add some spices or mustard for better flavor. The bread was a bit thick and chewy on this visit but overall still a solid sandwich. They have old school red cream soda here!! Also lots of chip options

I decided to try a sub from here because I noticed every time I pass this place or go to the custard place next door its usually packed. The sub center been in Hollywood for many years and seem to be a icon to the area. The reviews were great on Yelp so I said must give it a try. The place is extremely small. They only allow 2-3 people inside at a time. Many people had to wait outside before they are allowed to come inside. Its mostly a take out spot. I think I did see a table outside on the side of the building but not sure. I ordered a hot Italian sub and it was good. It would've been better if they didn't toast my bread. I wish they would've told me. I didn't like the toasted taste of the bread. I also didn't care for screaming across the counter what I want on my sub. The guy didn't hear me say oil and vinegar and wrap up my sub quickly. I end up having to ask for it on the side. If I return here I would definitely request for my sub not to be toasted but for the most part I enjoyed my sub.

A Philly cheesesteak sandwich without the Philly attitude? Sign me up. Seriously, I enjoyed my brief visit to this sub shop. Service was friendly and swift, the sub was tasty, the bread was fresh, and the price was fair. My sandwich was a little greasy, though, so I'll try the chicken breast next time. Regardless, I'll be back soon...

I ordered a tuna sub, it was assembled very messy, when I opened it it fell apart. Also, NOT a great experience I had to discard of it as I found hair. Service was okay, lady that took care of me was rude at all times. Place needs to be more organized

One of the best subs I've ever tried and never have I got a sub wrongfully prepared. Service is quick and out you go ambience is a mom and pops feel order in and take out.

Tiny place with good subs and service. Have been a couple times and always had a great experience.

First off, I've been coming here since the late 80s. The food & service is still good, but it's obvious the owners have given up on maintenance & simple cleaning. Today I almost walked out, this place is filthy from the floor to the ceiling. (Wanted a birch beer but seeing the filth made me think of the soda machine cleanliness)No way this place could pass an inspection, no way! It's really sad to see another part of hollywood history crumble before my eyes. In any other neighborhood this place would be shut down. I'm honestly sorry I had to give this review. I hope I can change it one day. After writing this review I looked up their last inspection 8 violations

Legit one of the best subs I've ever had. My kids got the cheesesteak sub and split it. I had a bite and it was delicious. Well seasoned with a good portion of steak and melted cheese. I got the Zesty Italian baked. Was outstanding, fresh, the sweet peppers were a nice touch. Soft bread. The PERFECT sandwich

Great subs at great prices. One footlong usually feeds 2 people. Boars head meat as well. Trust me you will love this place!!

First time visiting Sub Center and left extremely impressed. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Sub was delicious. Great variety of hot and cold subs to choose from. Will definitely be back.

I have been coming to this sub place since high school! SINCE THE 70'S Yeah that's a long time! It is the only sub center left in FL that I know of! The staff through out the years have always been great, efficient, friendly, and never make a mistake on my order! EVER! The subs are so tasty, I dont know what it is...maybe cause each sub is made with love? Thank you for still being around

Grilled chicken salad was good, It was a long wait & crowded inside. The employees was helpful & friendly.

The sign says 6 people limit, so I waited outside. It wasn't too long of a wait, though! I told the person at the counter to make the Pastrami sandwich their way, no stress. I went with Swiss cheese, as suggested. I'm not allergic to anything there, but peach makes my belly hurt -- they don't add that on the sandwich, so I'm pretty much safe on this quick lunch. This sub not only filled me up, but made me feel good inside. Too bad there's no coffee in there, but that's ok! I'll stop here on days I'm short on time to bring lunch with me on the road. I've passed by here so many times that I finally tried it out. Skipped the dessert next door, though. My tummy is happy

Quick service and usually on point with orders. Get in early as they get really busy during lunch and right after work. My favorite is the chicken (hot with grilled onions) salad with all the fixin's I like, chopped up. The Best!

A Hollywood classic for a reason. Delicious chicken Philly. Quick and attentive service. Small inside but a real OG spot with seating outside. Worth the visit.

I went this Saturday after work to try it out it is now Thursday and I have been back 3 times since then. The food is great chipotle mayo and vinegar house sauce are delicious on the Philly and chicken bacon. Cookies are the bomb if you get there to late you might not get anymore from how fast they sell out. Very quick for a sub shot I always get in and out even if it's full with orders the ambiance is great i like how it's set up this is what sub shops should be like always. Wish they had more.

Philly cheese steak tastes just like up north!!!! Definitely recommend their subs I've gotten a turkey sub from them as well always quality food and if you order ahead you don't have to wait (they are popular for a good reason!) potato salad is good too

Was really disappointed after reading so many great reviews. Out of pastrami and so we got the roast beef and the Philly. Half of both ended up in the trash.

I've been eating here since 2004, and contrary to what was opined in a recent 3 star review, NOTHING has changed. Hell, I'm not even sure if the prices have gone up... Sub Center rocks. It still rocks. It has always rocked. This place CONSISTENTLY produces excellent subs, period! Although I've eaten most everything on the menu, my personal favorite is the Zesty Italian. What makes this sub so fantastic is the combination of high quality meats and cheeses, the fresh toppings (especially the sweet peppers), and the outstanding house-made Italian dressing. Do make sure they put enough dressing on there for you...sometimes they don't. The fresh Italian bread is also outstanding. Myself, my wife and my kids have, over the years, eaten almost every product made by Sub Center, and no one has ever complained. Ever. I will agree with a recent reviewer on one topic. The inside of the building is a little chaotic. If you've ever "stood in line" in a third world country, you know that lines don't mean much. Now, I'm not advocating a number system, cuz I hate those...just go in there, be a little aggressive in placing your order, and, after a short while, start enjoying the best subs in Florida I'll tell you what: if Sub Center ever closes, one of our main motivations for vacationing in South Florida will be gone. Gone...reduced to atoms. 5 stars...still...16 years later. Long live the king.

Best subs in Hollywood no question Any other place claiming they're #1 are 100% liars don't expect nice expect GOOD, they're always busy and the spot is small so you're in and out!! but trust me you'll be back.

I've been going to this place for over 50 years. This used to be the go-to spot for me when I went to work and was able to take lunch with me. I always ordered the Italian sub they have made perfectly throughout the years. I relocated to another area of Florida and very rarely got into this area, but when I do, I have to stop by. Today's visit was disappointing; I ordered a foot-long Italian sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, extra oil and vinegar, and Swiss cheese assembled on a foot-long white bread! Well, I must say that the bread was stale, possibly left over from the day before, the oil and vinegar lacked flavor, and the meat tasted like something you got from Subway. Over the years, it's been hit or miss but mostly positive, but this time it was a big mess; I'm hoping that the next time I come here, it will go back to the way it was yesteryear. i'll recommend this place strictly on nostalgia and let you be the judge. The location itself is extremely small and it hasn't changed over the years, walking into this place was like being thrown back into the 70s. The only downside was I was rushed through ordering since it's been a while since I've been there and I was unfamiliar with the menu thinking it might've changed. Considering I was the only one in there it was totally uncalled for. All in all everybody in there was pretty friendly and it is a family run business
