Hot Damn! Stumbled across this place and WOW so happy we did. Fantastic sandwich. Service is awesome and super friendly. They really want to get it right. Will go here again next time I’m in town. Delish!

Out of this world subs! The teriyaki beef sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. This place makes old fashioned subs like you remember when you were a kid... But better!! I highly recommend. I ate one there and got one for later. I'm so happy I did that! I love this place and I will be back. 😋🎉

During training at Schneider, Mike's Sub Factory made out lunches every day. Every day, I looked forward to his sub sandwich! Far and away better than Subway. Thanks for the delicious sandwiches you made for us!!!

Great little sub shop. We come often, and it's one of the only spots in SE that I would actually pay for a sandwich. Everything consistently tastes fresh and well crafted. The folks running the place are so friendly and patient and we always feel welcome. Very affordable these days, and well worth the price. Looks humble from the outside passing by, but delivers on taste and quality. Love it

Really good service. Menu prices were very reasonable and the sandwiches were really good. Next time I'll try the teriyaki chicken cause were definitely gonna be eating here more often.

The subs are very good. I have had the ham and turkey as well as the blt. This place is definitely a good find. Will be going back for sure.

I’m lucky to have Sub Factory as my local sandwich shop. All deli meat is sliced to order, fresh veggies and toppings, and very affordable given the quality. Also, everyone that works there is so darn nice - easy 5/5 stars

Fantastic subs. Almost perfect!! PDX is a long way from NYC but this is the closest that I've come to a bodega style Sandwich!!

Was driving around industrial area super hungry. Stumble across this amazing sub shop! Order the junkyard. Has everything in it I love. Fresh bread and ingredients and a packed sandwich! They made it quickly. I was able to sit right inside which is great because this sub is a beast! Highly recommend.

Truly a gemstone! Everything on the menu is great, especially the Korean beef bento. Super cool owners as well!

Great service solid sandwiches & fast. Not fancy or overpriced- value for money. Loved my half sub/ the Junkyard (it definitely filled me up), the other person I was with got a ham/ turkey combo with all the fixings and jalapeños and enjoyed that - it's a worthwhile stop if you're in the area!

These sandwiches are solid. They taste exactly how you would expect them to. No fancy ingredients or sauces, just a simple, everyday sandwich. The prices are excellent as well and don't make you second guess whether you really need this sandwich or if you should just save your money instead. This is the type of local spot you want to support. Friendly service and atmosphere from local people. What more could you want?

Sometimes you just want a simple, delicious and fresh sub. Sub Factory is the perfect stop for a tasty, inexpensive lunch. There was a short line when I arrived, which moved very quickly. The woman at the cash register was so efficient; she was even taking phone orders as she was helping customers. The service was cheerful and quick. I ordered the three cheese sub with everyone on it (except pepperoncinis). All of the ingredients tasted fresh and the bread was the perfect white bread roll with great flavor-yum! It was a basic sub done extremely well. Sub Factory has their own parking lot and a few tables inside. This would be the perfect lunch to take to Leach Botanical Garden or on a picnic in general.

So I've wanted to try this sub shop for a long time and it didn't disappoint! They have multiple boards to choose from, from normal people to the I want a huge giant masterpiece lol I was not super hungry so I just got a footlong ham and turkey. They ask what you want on it, I chose all the fixins but the peppers. The bread is super fresh and soft, and it was a great fresh sub! And the best part is the value! A little over 8 bucks for a foot long sub these days is wonderful I'll definitely be back

if you think this place is good, you need to get out more, the bread is horrible, thick and dense. Their meat ball should be a crime. it sucks because I work right down the street, I'd rather starve. and they just raised there prices for the second time, but have they raised the quality, no it's well below average. Also when I picked up the meat ball sub, they were just pulling it out of the microwave...

Came across this place passing going to Pic-n-Pull. I always love to stop into a sub shop and check in out good or bad always like to see how they stack up. Let me tell you this place lives up to there 4.5 star status great subs and simple menu well priced!!!! For what you get can't complain. Portion is great and well prepared staff is nice and friendly plus fast.

Stopped in for lunch, kind of a sketchy neighborhood, but man their subs are delicious.

Anytime I'm working in this area I make sure I stop by here. I've tried a handful of subs and they are all great. The fresh bread and ingredients makes it. I have yet to try there teriyaki. Next time.

My favorite sub spot in Portland. My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week. All of the meat is great quality and the cooks don't shy away from loading up your sandwich. I haven't had the bento personally but every time I visit someone is dining in eating it so it must be good! The staff is friendly and usually hard at work. The Mac and potato salads are also great. They have a good lunch deal.

Sub factory has the best sub sandwiches in Portland. Extremely classic in their composition and ingredients, this no frills place delivers on delicious sandwiches every time. The consistency is incredible- they make sub sandwiches perfectly. Their prices are also very low for Portland. I would branch out to their teriyaki bowls and breakfast offerings, but I just get sandwiches every time I'm here because they're really that good What else is there to say? Go to Mike's original sub factory and get as many sandwiches as you can justify

Good Sub sandwiches and great service. I usually call ahead and get them to go. Never had a bad experience. These guys are professionals.

This place is bomb. Sammy's here are really reasonably priced 3rd time here to get to go. Don't go to subway this kills it. Even better then jimmy jons or jersey mikes! Bread is really soft and yummy.

About as classic as they come. Just an unassuming, family owned sub-shop. I've had about a dozen different sandwiches and not a single one has been disappointing. There's just something special out this place and they way they make sandwiches. It's simple and no frills but just hits the spot. It's nostalgic in a way. Glad to have found this deep SE gem and will continue to be a customer for a long time....I mean it's going to take me at least a year to eat every single menu item.

Fast, friendly service. Call ahead and they will have your order ready when you get there. Way better than subway.

I never write reviews but this is one of best sub shops I've ever been to! Clean, amazing costumer service and the subs always taste so good! Soft bread, fresh veggies and they literally slice the deli meat to order. Love this place, I eat here very often for lunch!

I didn't think a simple sandwich could be so good. There was a line but that's expected because I came during lunch. The customer service was great and the food was so good! And the prices are reasonable!

First, I am from Philly so It's a high bar to impress me with a sub sandwich. But really? What's the most important ingredient in the sandwich? Of course, it's the bread. They use a Franz hoagie roll. So, game over I knew it would suck. The ingredients are fine. The price is right. But it's mostly lots of bread and not good bread.

No other sandwich shop like it, always fresh and tasty. You can not go wrong with OSF. Only wish the had one near Tualatin so I could eat there more.

This is half my sandwich more than 24 hours later and it's still bomb as hell. I'm so sad that after driving by for 5 years that I finally went in just a couple months before I move away. Food is amazing. This is two dinners for $6 amazing. They did some sort of magic because the sandwhich is a day old and tastes better. I am chowing down as I type. They have a super cheap breakfast menu so I'm going to try to check that out later this week.

These sandwiches were amazing! Extremely simple sandwiches, but the taste and balance of each condiment/cheese/meat was perfect! My wife just got a Turkey, and I got the pastrami/salami; both phenomenal! If their sandwiches were that good, can't wait to try the breakfast and teriyaki. We will certainly be back!

I've been driving by for years and today my fiancé and I came in and we were not disappointed! We shared a "Junkyard" sub, it was sooooo delicious! Everything tastes fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the owner was so nice. We will definitely be back!

5Sept19 @ 11:45. Small place in a small strip mall. Order at the counter. Quick friendly service. We had the Thai chicken and the turkey bacon. The subs are quite good with plenty of stuff inside the fresh and tasty bread. Prices are very good. We liked these sandwiches a lot.

We are visiting from Texas and wanted to eat a little something after our flight. Looking for semi-healthy I found this place for subs - Mikes Original sub factory. The spot is tucked away and looks like a locally owned 'hole in the wall' type of spot, which are always the best, and this place followed suit. The staff was friendly and kept up the small talk with me and were a good start to meeting local folks. The sub menu had a ton of variety with several different, sneaky-good combinations. My wife and I got the #1, the 'Italian' which had ham, salami, pepperoni, olives and banana peppers. They slice the meat fresh on the spot which is a nice alternative to pre cut meat. Overall, a cool little spot and I'd definitely go back! Check it out!

I've been eating subs made by Mike since the early 2000's when he was up at the mini mart off 11th and Foster. I enjoy alot of what they have to offer, and this is probably the only place I'll get a tuna from unless I make one at home. McRibs style sandwiches here all day, everyday. Definitely a #supportlocal with this one. I'd leave 10 stars if I could.

Great spot but they need to up grade the Quality of the meat and the portion size. I've been coming here for a while but I recently took my significant other, and I have to say It was almost embarrassing. Very thin, mostly bread and veggies . Yes it's all local and delicious, but the meat is C grade cut cuts at best. The exterior of the restaurant is a little bit rough, and it's in the industrial area. I kept on saying trust me the food was so delicious. I'm pretty sure they put the same amount of Meat On the half as they do the Full. It's definitely cheap and the selection is big and it's popular w the locals ... I guess it's hit or miss .. FYI grocery stores make customcustom-made sandwiches with boars -head meatsmeat and local fresh bread for about the same price and there's also selections of cheeses.

Hands down the best sub shop in the northwest! I've tried almost every sub and bento on the menu and the quality and quantity of these meals are unsurpassed, move over jersey mikes and the rest of the corporate "sub shops"

First off, please know that I am a sub addict, and I really appreciate a good sandwich. I have tried many in the Vancouver/Portland area since I moved here almost two years ago. Secondly, I got this sub from Mike's to go for a midnight snack, had dinner plans elsewhere tonight. The short version is I got this sub, the Italian themed #1 at around 4:00 pm. Went to Gresham, fooled around and its almost 11 pm now, just ate half of this sub. I'm floored by the flavors!!! My favorite sub by far! I'm so happy I spotted this place while picking up atv parts next-door. So this sammitch rolled around the backseat for close to seven hours, and it is the best ive had! Not dry, but not soggy at all.I can't wait to dine in there and have it fresh! Bento smelled awesome too BTW, and Mike was a really cool dude. Definitely will return, over and over again.

This was such a great place. The sandwiches were very fresh and affordable. Real meats, real cheese, nothing fake or thawed from frozen. The two guys working were so nice. I great up on the east cost and this is the closest thing I've had to the "real east cost hoagie" in a long time! Will definitely be returning.

Something I really appreciated was there professionalism about covid. They do a great job working while still keeping in mind that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Definitely makes me feel safe going, ordering, and eating the food they provide!

Original sub factory makes the best subs in Portland. If your looking for a real sandwich where they don't weigh the meat than this is the place. Try it you won't be done disappointed.

I've driven past this place a few hundred times and never stopped by. Decided to try it last week, looks like I'll be regular here! Freshly sliced meats on Franz buns- great price and delicious! What more can you ask for?

This is a great, cheap sub. The food is made to order, and there are a lot of options to customize it. It's a no nonsense, basic delicious sandwich! I had the 3 cheese and my husband tried to Junkyard. He enjoyed it thoroughly, and the 3 cheese was tasty. We watched them slice our meat and cheese on the spot so that was cool! There isn't a ton of places to sit, but the to go option is always available too! Great, basic sub for an affordable price.

This was my first time at the Original Sub Factory. Ordered three different subs: Pizza, Roast Beef, and BLT. The kids loved the Pizza sub. I tried the other two and both were excellent. Another reviewer complained about the bread; I noticed they used Franz Bakery rolls and they tasted fine to me. Prices were very fair, service was quick. This is my new go-to spot for a quick bite!

Mannnnn... I can't say it enough and as long as this place is in business I'll continue to support it! Mike and the team are laid back and just keep it simple and Create a vibe! The bento is fireeeee (add dressing to the meat) and the sandwich aren't doing too much.. simple and mostly tradition and depending on what you get it is usually enough to share! Man, y'all weren't kidding. I went here for the first time today, and ordered the #1 (ham, salami, & pepperoni). That was one of the best sub sandwiches I've had locally, and the prices are fair also. Don't let the outer facade of the building fool you. Give them a try.

I agree with all of the other 5 star reviewers. I ordered No. 16 "The Wrecker". Portions here are no joke and a lot better value than any of the franchizzzy overly priced places. I had to wrap up half of it to go. These sandwiches are d-lish! The bread, Super fresh and if bread could melt in your mouth, this stuff would fit in that category. (they also have whole wheat) The ingredients- Fresh and are of good quality. Location is in a not so nice part of town, but if you can get past that then go there and enjoy what they have to offer. Owners are super friendly as well.
