Sublime Comporta Beach Club

Comporta Sublime Beach Club is a beautiful, relaxed beach spot with excellent service - we were served by Bhanu - and a stunning natural setting. The atmosphere is refined yet easygoing, making it perfect for families as well — genuinely kids-friendly without losing its elegance. Great food, attentive staff, and one of the nicest beach locations in Comporta. Highly recommended.

We had lunch here this week and wanted to try it owing to the vibe and view. What a view! The food was nice but a little expensive. That said the burrata salad was outstanding. I could have happily just had that. The catch of the day main was disappointing and lacked depth and flavour as is the lobster roll which is one to avoid as it’s mainly stodgy bread sadly. However the main problem here is the service. We had a reservation and were seated immediately but it was then a further 40 mins before anyone came to see us. We tried all this time to order drinks and failed and then a rushed but very polite waiter wanted just our food order. The next issue was they totally forgot one of the mains (octopus) so by the time it arrived the rest do the table had finished their lunch. They weren’t overly concerned and also didn’t offer a discount at the end which would be appropriate. Nor did they suggest we didn’t pay the service charge. We had wanted to order more drinks a few times but all decided not to owing to the poor service and delay. So ultimately restaurant lost a lot of revenue as between 5 people on a long lunch we would usually have got through three bottle of wine! Instead, we decided to pay and leave and go next door to Sal and have cocktails there! I would return, yes, and the beach menu looks more in keeping with a lighter and cheaper lunch. The location is great and the staff are also very good but clearly too rushed and both miss details but also opportunity to serve and therefore increase revenue for the company, and as a business owner myself, this would deeply worry me. Food is good if expensive, but management is a concern and leaves opportunities to improve.

The location is absolutely stunning, set right in the dunes with a direct view of the ocean, it perfectly captures the relaxed, elegant Comporta vibe. The atmosphere is chic yet laid-back, ideal for a long seaside lunch or sunset drink. We had the paella, which was delicious and came in generous portions, definitely enough to share. The overall food quality was good and the service friendly. It’s on the pricier side, but given the setting and experience, it feels worth it for a special beach day

What stood out the most at this place was the value of service received. The waiters were amazing ! Even those not waiting on our table! A waitress passed by our table with a live lobster and she saw us looking so she gave us a joke. Top notch service and cannot fault it one bit ! The food was nice , we had the fried chipirones which were a bit chewy but was fine. Sadly we wanted the Arroz negra but they had run out of the squid ink so there was none available. The waiter recommended the fish rice broth and it did not disappoint. It was creamy and full of flavour ! We ordered two desserts but the Salted caramel tart won me over ! It was just delicious !! I must warn this place ain’t the cheapest around but I suppose you’re paying for the service received.

The main attraction at Sublime restaurant is the gorgeous view and club atmosphere. Fun place for drinks and dinner at sunset. Everything else is average. Food is ok, but nothing special. A little more effort on the food side would make this a TOP destination considering the amazing view. Enjoyed our casual dinner and the clubby vibe. At lunch believe they serve casual food on the beach. 4/5

Great beach club, delicious food and service! Bhanu looked after us and was brilliant. His recommendations for food and their (new) delicious white wine was on point. The view was amazing. Thank you Bhanu and all for a memorable lunch during our trip!
