Absolutely one of the worst experiences for a fast-food restaurant. I looked into the restaurant, debating on whether I should even get in line as I watched the line's speed.
I made the decision and entered the line. From there, there was a couple in front of me. They were ordering two sandwiches. Two people were working, not talking to each other. The person making the sandwiches was utterly disinterested in the couple's words. She even went as far as she was watching the TV behind me. Watching her slowly put on each piece of meat and any other Subway, I saw that the sandwich would have been completed by then.
The guy that was there was making tons of bread... But there was no reason to make bread because as I stood there through the 10 to 15-minute process to make 1 to 2 sandwiches,, 8 to 10 people had come into the store by the time the worker had gotten to the vegetable portion of making the sandwich the people that were in line behind me left.
After I approached the counter, I inquired about getting a meatball sub she stared at me, blankly paused, and then stated that she could not make the sandwich. I inquired why she said they were out of meatballs. I said okay, can I get an avocado turkey wrap, she stared at me again, her body language clearly indicating she did not care. She told me she couldn't make that one as well. In astonishment, I just told her to forget it and walked away.
I would not recommend going into any subway at the Detroit Airport.
