Sucre

"Any mention of Sucre, situated in the section of the Belgrano district closest to the sea and the extensive Regatas lake, cannot be made without referring to Fernado Trocca, a man with an entrepreneurial vision who successfully expanded his business model to other countries (Sucre has Michelin-recommended subsidiaries in London and Dubai). This spacious setting with an urban-industrial vibe, in which the open kitchen, long bar and glass-fronted wine cellar stand out, is aimed at a cosmopolitan clientele in search of new experiences. Its cuisine is always centred around seasonal ingredients, many of which are organic, and includes a good selection of contemporary dishes with an international flair (“fish of the day” tiraditos, wild prawns sautéed in thyme butter, certified grass-fed beef cooked on the quebracho wood grill, Cavatelli pasta, organic quince etc. A key principle here is ensuring that they do not source meat from animals reared via intensive feedlots. An impressive brunch and extensive choice of cocktails complete the picture." - Michelin Inspector

This is just a well decorated place. The food is just right for the price. The waiters are well intended but the service is not good enough. I was served the entree before the wine. Food was rushed in, I felt like I was being dispatched for the next customer. Since the grill was inside, all the place was smokey. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The layout of the restaurant is not ideal, all tables are places one next to the other; very close, you have no intimacy and it feels far from cozy...

This is a classy restaurant in Belgrano. I highly recommend you visit. The service was wonderful and the interior atmosphere is to be enjoyed. It is relaxing. The interior is modern, but the tables are comfortable. The food is some of the best we’ve had in the Buenos Aires region. Highly recommend.

Great great place to have a romantic dinner or just celebrate. It's expensive but it's totally worth it. The food is like nothing else, honestly the taste is unique. The service was remarkable. I have nothing negative to say about this place. YOU HAVE TO GO!! Oh and the place itself is so nice and cozy. A must!!!!

Google
Dark and gloomy touch of this restaurant. It is ideal for a romantic date I guess. I was riding around the neighborhood and decided to finally stop here to have a cocktail at the bar (over the counter). Cocktail was fine and bartender very attentive. Regarding the price is like any other bar from the zone.

Super nice place, with a bad ass private room that sits in the middle of the restaurant for private dining. Location is centrally located and easy to get to from anywhere in the city. We saw on their menu that they had brunch on weekends and we made reservations. Upon being sat at our table, we were disappointed as our server informed us they're no longer doing brunch. We ordered from the executive menu and the food was tasty but pretty mid. The bondiola they said was cooked for 5 hours was still pretty chewy and not as tender as one would expect. The empanda was nicely fried and the meat filling was good as well. The dish with the mushrooms and ricotta was probably the best thing we ate. Regrettably I won't have another chance to try them again as I had to fly back to the US.

Google
Overpriced restaurant with poor service level. We’ve been waiting for our dishes for more than one hour and received cold and sticky pasta without any excuses.

Google
This place is spectacular. The food is delicious - highly recommend the empanadas from the oven. Cocktails were delicious. The hospitality and service is beyond excellent. The staff is so friendly. I was dining alone and I felt like I had company the whole time. I can’t wait to come back to Buenos Aires just to go to this restaurant.

Yelp
The restaurant ambience is fantastic and the wine selection is pretty good. If you dont feel like sitting ata table you can chill out at the bar. they do have a complete bar which is a plus for me. the risotto and the cordero were amazing

Yelp
Sadly this place was suffering from a major Identity crisis. Having spent a week eating at some of the best Buenos Aires restaurants - Sucre came very low on the list, despite recommendations from friends. Poor execution of pretty much everything we tried. The night started poorly when the wrong wine was served - same producer, but we ordered the Cabernet Franc and the Cabernet Sauvignon was served from a completely different year. Rookie Sommelier? The buratta was not fresh and low quality. The Osso bucco rissoto was like soup - with some real low quality meat on top. Luckily they ended up not even charging us for the wine. But everything here was pretty mediocre. Including the service. Save yourself the trip. There are much better restaurants in BA.

Yelp
Wow, GREAT MEAL, GREAT SERVICE. This place has been around for years now, but is still hot. The service was great and the food was still cutting edge like the reviews rave about. I had the Patagonia Lamb over smokey polenta and it was one of the best lamb dishes I have had in years. The dining room at 10:30pm on a Tuesday was happening, and crowd was very hip, even if a little older then a normal night over in say Palermo. The bartenders would smoke the snifter glasses with wood smoke, make sure the glasses are ice cold for beers, and in general take extra care in their preparation. When I go back to Buenos Aires every few years I keep a short list of 4-5 must eats. This will surely be on it going forward.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch here. This place was recommended to us by the Four Season hotel. Love the modern decor and the beautiful wine glass storage that was in the middle of the restaurant. Our server recommended a fish dish that was native to Argentina (never heard of this type of fish), it was the catch of the day. Prepared with a crispy skin and delicate tomato sauce, delicious! We also enjoyed a Greek salad, it was more like a mixed salad. Full bar and nice wine selection. Definitely go here for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal on our first night in Buenos Aires. It involved meat, obviously. And an excellent bottle of Cabernet Franc. The ambiance was pleasing and the service was excellent. I totally recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This restaurant is terrible, the food is mediocre but the worst thing about this restaurant is the service. The waiters are very unprofessional... and one employee named Tomas Antelo was very, very rude to my 88 year old grandmother... I couldn't believe how he talked to her when she asked him where the bathroom was.. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone...

Yelp
Went here on a recommendation from a friend in the states. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, great service. Expensive but worth it.

Yelp
Great food, and the GM Thomas was awesome. They accommodated our gluten free diet. The ambiance was hype and trendy. Priced very well. One of our favorite restaurants in Argentina.
