Visiting Sueno's Stone for the first time on Tuesday 9 July 2019, I was taken in by its size, preserved condition, and the set-up for the stone. I spotted the glass encasement from the road and pulled my car over to park and check it out. Posted informational placards provided background about the stone (such as a height of over 6 metres and a suggested carving date in the 800s or 900s) as well as the significance of the depicted symbols. The glass was clean and easy to see through. The grass around the area with the stone was well maintained.
