Google
asked for some fresh green jalapeño chile peppers with my tacos and they did not disappoint. served with radishes and grilled onions and sliced limes. the salsa was awesome too. recommend this place for sure. grab a beer nearby first and enjoy the music outside. they also have guacamole and juices

Suman H.

Google
Got the chips and guacamole. The chips were okay and so was the guacamole. I thought the price was pretty high for what I was getting. The guacamole was under seasoned and tasted bland. They had sprinkle some kind of cheese on the chips, which gave it some funk but it did not work for me, unfortunately

Google
Surerte-licious! This describes the eating experience my wife and I had this past Sunday. My wife had carne asada with Cotija fries which was served with a generous portion of lean skirt steak. The presentation was excellent, a chimichurri sauce was drizzled on top with a side of chipotle dip on the side. I had the birria egg roles with a cup of consomé to sip or dip. The food was delicious and eye appealing. We will be back!

Coy T.

Google
I don't understand the other reviews but my fried calamari with shishito peppers were absolutely amazing! No exaggeration. Not only was it enough to comfortably feed 3 people but with the creamy aioli and smoky marinara everything was so delicious! Their birria egg rolls were big, moist and tasty and a big serving of birria dipping sauce. Puts all the other vendors to shame.

Google
I ordered the potato flautas. I was worried I would be disappointed. And was not. Four large rolled tortillas with tasty potato mash were beautifully presented, topped generously with sour cream on a bed of marinated cabbage. The meal was delicious. The side salsas were from canned jars, I’m sure.

Jose R.

Google
Ordered birria tacos and chips with guacamole. Tacos were amazing and sat outside in the San Jose sunshine. Amazing experience!

Google
It was my first time trying Suerte; I got the mole chilaquiles and they were so good! The mole tasted fresh and definitely NOT from a can! Side note: it was such a big portion I had to share with my brother 😆 the tortilla pieces were also big, so we had to fold them in half. Definitely recommend getting these! I want to try the shrimp tacos next time, they looked so good! But we were so full 😆

Mirna A.

Google
The food was. 10/10! Try the shrimp tacos, they were delicious. Steak and fries were amazing as well. Steak was cooked perfectly. We can’t wait to go back!

Yelp
So, I am really torn about this one. I ordered the queso berria tacos The berria itself was delicious no complaints. But the order experience was annoying, thus the reduced stars and portions. This is not the spot if in a hurry, although the food came out rather fast once ordered still took to long over all. 1. They only have ONE ordering kiosk. I came after the lunch rush almost 2pm. Only two others I front of me. But they took forever scrolling through the menu. So waiting x2. THEN, once I finally got to the kiosk, it crashed. So I had to wait for the lady to come around from behind and reboot and THEN test it. More waiting....I asked could I just order directly, he said "she will test it"??? 2. $16 bucks for what I would call bar bites. See pic below, these tiny tacos were so small the sauce cups that same with them were way bigger than the tacos. Again flavor was good. 3. I was expecting a cheesy, crispy taco with consume. No cheese, just a kiss on the outside of the taco, she'll itself was soft, no consume...maybe i hit the wrong thing maybe not. I would try again, if I had time to spend. But wouldn't order these for $16, maybe I'll try the egg rolls ones next time. Sigh, I'm still hungry will need to order something elsewhere...or snack at my desk.

Yelp
I finally got to try their food. It's also closed when I go. They got some weird hours. I remember going on a Friday but they were closed. Came on a Wednesday but it's closed. Checked their hours but I went within their hours. The place is like a cafeteria. So you just order your food and wait until the beeper beeps. Then find a place to sit down. It's handicap friendly. I ordered the birrias egg roll. The eggroll large; two eggroll in one. It was really crunchy and juicy at the same time. The consume was excellent; not too salty or strong.

Yelp
I realized that I haven't visited San Pedro Square in a while, so I wanted to see what was new or try something I haven't tried yet. It was a Saturday night and it was pretty pack, but the lines at the stalls are pretty short. Grilled Chicken Mole Chilaquiles (3/5): I knew this was mainly tortilla chips, but I should've gotten this as an appetizer instead of an entree. The chicken was a big chunk was very dry. The sauce was good, but was very heavy. It was really difficult to finish this dish. Overall, I thought it was okay.

Yelp
Had the Birria Rolls. They were very tasty. The green salsa was good and had a little kick. The vibe of San Pedro Sq Market was cool. Band playing 80s music. Service? Not really.

Yelp
This restaurant was in San Pedro market which was a super cute food court area with plenty of indoor and outdoors seating. The restaurant had a tablet to order and was pretty fast for a Saturday in a busy area. I ordered the mole nachos and birria tacos. The meat in the taco was nice and juicy and the salsa had a nice heat to it. They were simple with a few elements but super flavorful. The mole was so rich and the egg/chicken on top was perfect. The chips were freshly made to order and paired with the mole so well. I usually am not a fan of mole but I absolutely loved this dish!

Yelp
I come here as much as possible when I'm around DTSJ. Great food, the birria egg rolls are amazing, and even simple chips & guacamole have you salivating. Fun environment being in San Pedro Square, especially grabbing a table outside with live music. It's easy to order at which is surprising with everything going on around it, they help with any questions you might have, and the menu is easy to read on the board it's posted on. I love this spot for work happy hours! Easy for everyone to grab food on one tab and get drinks at the bar next to it!
google avatar

Yelp
It can take a while to order if they are busy as there's a single kiosk they take order and no option to do it from your phone. That said, the tacos here were pretty good here and I really wish we just ordered those. My favorite was the shrimp ones with the crispy shells. The letdown was the the chips and guacamole - for $10, you'd expect it'd fully cooked - but no, the chips were half done and a lot of them stuck to each other. The guacamole could use a bit more lime and less salt. So yeah, get their tacos.

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday night and it was packed. San Pedro Market Square is a vibe on the weekends as there's live music and huge crowd. We grabbed beer at another unit but paired it with the grilled chicken mole chilaquiles and nachos. Food came out quick and was delicious! I really enjoyed the chilaquiles so I would recommend getting this. The sizing is huge and good for sharing between 2-4 people.

Yelp
Just wanted a quick snack here before heading out for drinks so we got nachos, they were really yummy and good flavors/toppings! We added chicken. Just a bit expensive in my opinion. I do want to come back and try the tacos as well!
google avatar

Yelp
used to be pretty good when they had the old menu my default used to be the steak w chimichurri & fries now it's just tacos and nachos here lol quesadilla - 6/10 just an avg quesadilla nothing special horchata bites - 1/10 okay maybe we didn't read the description properly, but be warned that the inside is SOFT. like the outside is a thin layer of crunchy af, then you put your fork in and it's soft which is weird, but then you bite into it and you expect something like a donut texture but instead you get the texture of raw dough?? went & asked bc we weren't expecting this at all & apparently this is how it's supposed to be lol... but just be warned that the stark contrast is very offputting

Yelp
I heard good things about Suerte Eatery and wanted to check it out. It's located in San Pedro Square and has an open kitchen and bar to eat. I really wanted to try the birria egg rolls, but they didn't have it the day I went. Instead, I opted for the grilled chicken mole chilaquiles ($17) to go. Food took a little over 10 minutes to get and it was piping hot when I received it. It smelled amazing, so I had to sneak a few bites in the car. I was blown away by the flavors and how it was loaded with various ingredients. The chicken was perfectly grilled and juicy and the mole sauce wasn't too spicy and packed with flavor. They were generous with the cilantro and nachos. I could easily eat this every week and am already craving it again as I write this review. Excited to go back and get my hands on those birria egg rolls as well.

Yelp
Honestly really enjoyed my experience here! Service was nice and quick. They have a bar to sit at, and there's tons of seating throughout San Pedro Square Market as well. The Birria Egg Rolls with Consome caught my eye IMMEDIATELY when I saw the menu. These were surprisingly huge in size and easy to eat! Not too oily, and the birria was good quality! Tender meat and flavorful. Consome was standard and they gave veggies to balance out the hearty food. They didn't give me any noodles, as stated on the menu, but it was really good without 'em honestly. Though I came here for the Birria Egg Rolls, but also grabbed an order of Watermelon Agua Fresca! This was a HUGE CUP with a tajin rim. Very refreshing and delicious. I recommend!!

Yelp
Suerte Eatery is a great addition to San Pedro Square Market! They were surprisingly not very busy on a Friday evening. We snagged some high-top seating right at the kiosk, but you can also take your food outside/anywhere in the market. My friend and I ordered the Brisket Birria Egg Rolls to share, as well as the Cucumber Lemonade Agua Fresca and Watermelon Agua Fresca. For drinks, they only had Agua Fresca and Horchata, but were directing customers to Alma Tequileria for alcoholic beverages. We were given a buzzer, but the food was brought to us, since we were sitting right there. We didn't wait long for the food/drinks, and the Brisket Birria Egg Rolls were everything I dreamed they would be. The meat was so flavorful and I loved the crispy texture of the egg roll. They were pretty filling, but I would get my own order next time - they're too good to share! My Cucumber Lemonade Agua Fresca was great too. The portion size was massive, the sweetness level was perfect, and I loved the tajin rim. Overall, really good - will return to try more!

Yelp
Went to Suerte on a Saturday - didn't even know that second portion of San Pedro square existed before this! Ordered on a screen and menu is pretty straightforward, limited, but we still struggled to narrow down what we wanted. We got chips and salsa, a gracious amount of chips and the salsa was quite spicy but really good. Had half a box of chips to take home after! I had the chicken tacos and my boyfriend had the steak asada street tacos. Both were delicious- loved the topics and also great portions of meat. Juicy and flavourful but I wish I got some guacamole with it. Food was ready quickly and we took it outside and listed to music while we ate. Fries looked so good- I will definitely come back to try them as well as the quesadilla and other tacos!

Yelp
A fairly recent addition to San Pedro Market, with both bar seating, and plenty of seating throughout San Pedro Market. Order at the counter, and get a buzzer. I always love dining in this spacious foodhall. We ordered the chicken enchiladas and the Shrimp Tacos. Shrimp Tacos- loved the hard taco shell made with clearly freshly fried tortilla. Super flavorful taco, though a bit too spicy for me! My husband loves dishes that are just smothered in various sauces/spices so the chicken enchiladas were right up his alley. I thought it was a bit over-dressed. Really generous amounts of juicy shredded chicken inside the enchiladas.

Yelp
My friends and I went to Suerte Eatery, located adjactent to Alma Tequileria, on St. Patrick's Day weekend. We had an early start to our evening and needed some snacks to keep the party going. We luckily snagged seats at the food counter. Can't speak for the drinks since we didn't have any there but can definitely vouch for the amazing food we had. Not sure if I was just really drunk, but the nachos were that freaking good. My friend and I shared the nachos plate with carne asada and devoured the entire thing. Honestly it was the chips that did it for me. They were thick and extra crunchy, clearly made in-house. We had the pleasure of trying our friends' shrimp taco and enjoyed it too. Sure, the filling was really flavorful and tasty, but the homemade crunchy taco shell of the shrimp taco was what really stood out. Forget the cocktails - I can't wait to come back to try more food!

Yelp
We went back excited to try new things and the service wasn't as nice. We didn't realize they were getting ready to close, but they could have just said that instead of give us attitude. We ordered their pork belly sandwich which is a massive messy torta with way too many sauces. I felt the mustard didn't fit and the bread was too thick. As a person who can't eat dairy, I was a little bummed they put cotija on everything. I ordered the calamari and shishito peppers because it didn't have cheese according to their menu and it was sprinkled with cotija.

Yelp
Suerte is located in the San Pedro Food Court. The shrimp tacos are amazing and crunchy, with a nice kick. It has a nice char and smoky flavor. We also got the chicken quesedilla, nachos, tacos, and a few other things. Everything's sold, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. They did condense their menu so they no longer have the birria eggrolls, flautas, and steak. Please bring it back!!!!

Yelp
Damn Daniel! Back at it again with the delicious food! If you get the reference Bravo...if you don't, just know this place is amazing! Haven't been to San Pedro Market in a while and this was a great way to get back into the space! We came right when they opened on a Sunday and were instantly greeted with great service and even better food! Guy was really helpful helping us decide to choose from their plentiful variety of options. Honesty I would come just for the Aqua Frescas..the cucumber one with grabbing some Tequila from Bar in the next space was FIRE!!! The mole nachos were like crack and definitely an addict for that queso. Will definitely be back again.

Yelp
A hidden Mexican gem at San Pedro square . They had a sharks game that Sunday we went . It was super crowded . Great place to get some sport iTea while meeting people . Workers were very nice in getting us food . Ask for Pamela and she will take care of you Food was super filling and def cheesy . Dishes we had: -Spicy grilled chicken sandwich -fried calamari and shishito peppers -tricked out aqua frescha

Yelp
Stopped by this place after attending an event at SAP Center for some food. I got their quesadilla which was very good! I enjoyed their guacamole but unfortunately did not like their salsa. They had also ran out of horchata, but it was late on a Friday night. Will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu! Our food was ready quickly. Parking can be a bit hard to find, but we got lucky this night and found something right in front! There is also parking garages nearby and plenty of other options to grab food/ drinks from.

Yelp
Suerte is my new favorite spot in San Pedro Square! Not only are the food & drinks amazing so is the service and ambiance. We each got an agua fresca (which they rotate on a daily basis) along with the fried calamari / shishito peppers & enchiladas. Everything tasted great & was very well balanced, not to mention the portions are perfect. I will definitely be visiting again!

Yelp
Overall 4.5/5. Would be 5 but there are still some things to work out. This place has been in the works for a while now. They have been transforming the small kitchen outlet that used to be a sushi prep station to a fresh Mexican food grill and counter. Due to the spacing, they also have had to work through different offerings of shared plates as well as lunch/dinner meals. I first had chicken tinga nachos from them in early 2023 when they originally began to use the space. The nachos were amazing and a value considering the increasingly overpriced and bougie "New Mexican" restaurants. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the opening never fully came to be. Fast forward to January 13, 2023 and we are back to another soft opening. Fingers crossed that this leads to success in this spot for them. Unlike the other restaurants in San Pedro Square, Suerte does not currently have take out service so I went to the front register to order. The menu is short so once I knew what I wanted I ordered with the gentleman working the register. For two large meals the total came up to 38 dollars with tax. While this might seem like a lot, this is pretty good considering the portions and (as previously mentioned) compared to other similar restaurants. Food was ready in 16 minutes which gave me time to grab some beers to go from San Pedro Square Beer Market (5) and watch them prepare the dish. The food was well packaged in to go containers, per request, but they did not have bags. Additionally, the to go containers were clearly for leftovers and not takeout but San Pedro can be overwhelming sometimes so this should be addressed! On to the dishes-- Chicken Guajillo Enchiladas: 5/5. The meat, combined with the Guajillo sauce, is well seasoned and plentiful. The enchiladas are folded into the tortillas similar to a taco, with the meat fully filling 5 tortillas. Crema and cotija cheese are spread across the top, followed by purple pickled onions. When it all is in one bite it makes for a well textured and flavorful party. Brown Mole Chilaquiles: 4/5. Similar to the enchiladas, the sauce provides the flavor here. The charred chicken breast slices were unique addition. (I am used to tinga.) The char was good but the meet itself was a bit bland but again in a bite with the mole it went well. The reason for only 4 stars is that I would have loved to have more crema and cotija cheese to make the plate come to life a bit more. Overall a great experience and I am hoping that the Suerte Eatery team sees success in 2024. I look forward to the hard grand opening to come and continued focus on flavor!

Yelp
Just tasted the Aguas here. They do have a very nice presentation, but I don't think they are that great. Decent just not as good as they look. Like the fact that I can just buy and go outside to enjoy the live music from the Marketplace.
google avatar

Jennifer Z.

Yelp
Excellent value and flavorful tacos. Twice have had chicken tacos with everything and they were delicious, fresh and had flavor. Highly recommend trying if you're in the area or SPM. Agua de sandía was also very good
google avatar

Yelp
Their alert system doesnt work. Order my food and went outside to wait. It never rang. Came in 30min later and see my food was on the try near the end of the counter. Told them it was cold now and they gave me a random excuse. Maybe check your system or any food that been on the counter for over 10 min.

Yelp
Came to try out Suerte today and it's a wonderful addition to the SPS Market. The menu isn't super extensive but there are enough options. The staff was super friendly! I really liked that everything is made fresh and to order. I got the grilled steak and corgis fries and my steak and fries did not hit the grill or fryer until I ordered them. The agua fresca selection was Horchata or Cucumber. I got the Horchata and it was with sprinkles around the rim, a chocolate syrup drizzle and a chocolate chip cookie! My steak was cooked perfectly and it was juicy and tender. My only gripe is they have wooden forks which made it extremely difficult to cut up my steak. It was a lot of food though so it's worth the price. I'll definitely be back again to try some of the other times on the menu.
google avatar

Kenneth R.

Yelp
Ordered the fully loaded quesadilla. Delicious! Cheesy crisp on the outside. I wasn't totally blown away (I almost was), which I reserve for 5 stars. You can tell that they keep their standards high here. Above average.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try Suerte! I am happy to have this new addition to San Pedro Square. They were extremely busy, had a consistent line, and the workers kept hustling nonstop! I walked in wanting to try the red enchiladas, but they had green enchiladas for St. Patrick's day and decided to try that since it was a special. The enchiladas were really good and flavorful. My boyfriend got the steak and fries plate with the sauce on the side. The cotija fries were BOMB. The aguas were a cool touch. I love how they deck them all and make a non alcoholic drink look cool. Overall, the food was tasty and it's definitely a place I would eat at again if I go into the market to grab food.
google avatar

Yelp
If I could leave more than 5 stars I would!! We haven't been back in San Pedro square in over a year! This place caught our eye on yelp and the food is AS good as it looks on the pictures! If you're craving something like this and in the area, give it a try! The cook and staff were super friendly and attentive. Will be back!
google avatar

Marsha H.

Yelp
Their food so good. My first time to San Pedro square. I had a hard time decide WiFi h to eat. But this place I had chose first & it was worth it. There's a bar next, that also served a delicious margaritas!
google avatar

Huey N.

Yelp
The items we ordered tasted just okay. I found the filling of the chicken enchiladas noticeably salty, but overall they were decent. The idea of birria egg rolls sounded amazing. They were crispy and well constructed, but I'm disappointed to say they didn't have any flavor. Dipping them in the consume didn't help much. We discovered Suerte through social media posts. Maybe we had a mismatch in expectations because everything looked super good. It's nice to have new options in the area regardless.

Yelp
Amazing shrimp tacos! The service was quick and there was plenty of seating. Parking was tough since we came on the weekend but definitely worth it!!!
google avatar

Chau T.

Yelp
Great food and drinks and service. Nothing stood out that would make me dislike this place.

Darth E.

Yelp
Just WOW!!! I ordered the carne pork tacos and they were AMAZING! Some think that spicy makes it good, but flavor with spice makes it all that much better. I could taste the layer of flavors, and it made me want to eat SO many more! Customer service was great, and very polite. Best Tacos EVER!!!
google avatar

Esmeralda G.

Yelp
Was super excited to try this new eatery, and my boyfriend and I both were disappointed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich - the chicken was not spicy and it was dry, and my side order of fries were soggy. My boyfriend ordered the fried calamari and shishito peppers, the calamari was soggy and tasted mostly like leftover oil. Our food did come out quick, but it was not tasty. As someone who enjoys an infusion of foods, this place was not it.
google avatar

Paola V.

Yelp
Very good food, nice ambience, great service. Definitely recommend Had the chicken sandwich, husband had pork sandwich Must try !!

Cynthia H.

Yelp
We love San Pedro Square. We're a family of five and it's fun to share different dishes from all the restaurants. Suerte did not disappoint. Service is great. Perfect location to my families other favorite spots. Shrimp tacos, Birria egg rolls and the nacho tots. Very tasty. Will be back to try more items.

Antonisha L.

Yelp
Was excited to try the birria eggrolls as well as the carne asada with an agua fresco. Turns out they don't have them as advertised on yelp and Uber eats to order. They had a very limited menu with only tacos , nachos and chilaquiles..... we asked employee and she said if it's not on the ordering machine menu to order , they don't serve it ... disappointing to have come from Modesto to spend time with a friend and we chose this spot specifically for these foods . Young woman who told us they didn't serve them was nice I guess . Left without ordering

Hena B.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambience 10/10! Would recommend! We didn't mind waiting but they offered complimentary chips and salsa for the wait!

Max B.

Yelp
Really good food, great customer service. The overall theme is amazing. They also have handsome workers!

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised this morning as I was walking around San Pedro square looking for something to eat. Ordered the fried calamari and the steak Plato and was very pleased with the quality of the food, portion size and great service. The bar is modern and it was helpful to get some recommendations from the chef as to what to order. I enjoyed the open air cafeteria seating. Thank you Suerte Eatery for a delicious lunch.

Tom H.

Yelp
Surerte-licious! This describes the eating experience my wife and I had this past Sunday. My wife had carne asada with Cotija fries which was served with a generous portion of lean skirt steak. Yelp
We loved eating here and can't wait to be back! Amazing food all around, great tequila cocktail options and friendly staff on top of that. 10/10 recommend!

Jo P.

Yelp
Mole chilaquiles is a must try. Enough stuff two people. Evenings with live music in San Pedro Square is always fun

Loir S.

Yelp
Unbelievable flavors. First time here. It's our new favorite! Great portion sizes. A little spicy for us but still amazing.

Cristina S.

Yelp
Showed up on a Friday afternoon. Semi long line and food took about 30mins for two plates. 3 cooks, two of them wearing gloves prepping the food. The one without gloves was prepping food and eating at the same time. It made me a bit uncomfortable to see him eat with his bare fingers wiping them off with a towel and back to cooking . We ordered the birria egg rolls and steak and fries. Food was average. The steak and fries were the best out of the two. Definitely not Mexican flavors. Wont come back.
