Google
We ordered food to go. Waited quite a while - it seems like they were pretty busy. There’s a food court-style outdoor seating area if you want to eat there. The food was really good and very satisfying. Good portions, and it came packed with Banchan. The veggie bibimbap had almost too much tofu, but overall everything was delicious. The staff was very nice too!

Google
Really delicious and very reasonable prices. It seems like a family business with 1 person working front and 3 cooking. The wait for food can be long but well worth it.

Google
Second time coming to sues kitchen and again I was very pleased. I’ve tried their bulgogi plate as well as their katsu. I love how it comes with a side of kimchi and other goodies in a cute to-go bento. Both the bulgogi and katsu is very filling and they were happy to follow my friends order (she’s picky) and they did wonderfully. It’s also very sweet to hear them converse in Korean. Thanks for the super yummy food Sue!

Google
Loved the peaceful vibe and clean menu. I had the quinoa avocado bowl and a green smoothie — everything tasted fresh and nourishing. Great for a light lunch or post-gym meal. Staff were super friendly too.

Google
I literally hit up 95% of the food items on the menu. It's local to my work and my favorite place to get takeout on Saturdays. I highly enjoy Korean food and recommend it to anyone as a work food. Enjoy.

Google
You can have good Korean foods at a good price. Lunch special is only $11.99. Pork cutlet with rice and salad was tasty. Also, you can buy kimbab and banchan(Korean side dishes) in Sue's Korean Kitchen.

Google
What a nice little hidden away spot for some tastey korean food. The staff was super friendly when i took a minite to look at the menu and order. The food was made ready to go within a few minutes.

Google
We ordered the pork cutlet and the bibimbap, they were simple, fresh, and very good. The venue is very small but there is plenty of nice outdoor seating. To top the food, the woman running it is soooo incredibly nice, she was just wonderful! We highly recommend this nice little Korean kitchen!

Yelp
I came back after two years upon hearing that the owner had changed, and I was really surprised. The food tasted much better now and the side dishes that come with combo menus are more well prepared. The restaurant atmosphere also felt cozier and cleaner. I really enjoyed the food!

Yelp

Yelp
The Kimbap is very authentic and tastes like home made perfection. The food is extremely well made with traditional ingredients, and the restaurant is family owned. The wait time can be a bit longer than expected, but it's pretty good when you're going on a casual weekday. The place is small and a mom and pops so it's more of a grab and go. I recommend any of their main dishes.

Yelp
While visiting San Diego for conference, I was craving Korean food early morning. As this place was open at 10:30am, I decided to give it a shot. Small shop located in an outdoor food court setting, I didn't have much expectations. Well, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Lady at the counter was friendly and the food great. The place also sold wide range of banchan direct from the fridge. Kimchi soup and kimchi pancake were superb!

Yelp
I was in the area for work around Sorrento Valley, right on the border of Mira Mesa, and decided to grab some food to go. Ordered a bibimbap and tteokbokki...prices were great and service was super fast! The bibimbap portion was smaller than some other places, but tasted great. It's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall spot with no indoor seating, but there's shared outdoor seating with a few other small restaurants. Definitely more of a grab-and-go kind of place. Plenty of parking too, which is always a win. I'm a satisfied customer and I'll definitely be back! Oh, and just a heads up... they've got a fridge full of Korean pickled veggies, beans, kimchi, etc., if you want to stock up. No beer or soju here, but they do have plenty of water and sodas.

Yelp
Cute little mom and pop shop. There isn't seating inside but there are some tables outside. Plenty of parking since it's in a large plaza. They have a variety of banchans in the fridge that you can grab while you are in line and pay when you are ready. I got the Sue Gimbap and the amount in itself is worth the price! It is really large and will fill you up! Aside from it tasting amazing, you literally see her making it at the counter! I'm not in San Diego but my friend made sure to introduce this place to us when we came to visit!

Yelp
I ADORE this small shop! Originally came here with my friend for silly reason due to the fact I shared names with this place but pleasantly surprised to know that it had AMAZING & AUTHENTIC Korean food for great price and great quality! Take-out focused Korean home-cooked meals and a sweet old lady had rung us up which really set the cozy atmosphere. It wasn't busy at all when we came. Mira Mesa's beloved little spot that should be recommended!

Tiffany V.

Yelp
I love this place. Such yummy food. It's like my childhood. The service is amazing. The food takes a little longer to make but that's because everything is fresh. There is a courtyard where you can sit and enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is decent, the beef is sweet and chared. The rice is delicious too. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Fast service, delicious casual Korean food and reasonable prices! This place had been on my radar for a long time in terms of must-try food spots in San Diego and it lived up to that reputation in my opinion! I ordered the soft tofu soup with beef, some stir fried spicy squid, some beef bulgogi and jjajangmyeon rice cakes. No complaints about anything, seasoned very well and fresh & hot to boot! Ample side dishes, not too much variety but a decent amount of quantity. Will come back for sure the next time I am in the area. It's perfect for both casual lunch and dinner and I'm sure you could also take a date there if you wanted to just for some casual vibes and good Korean food! Parking is aplenty in the nearby large commercial use parking lot.

Yelp
This cozy, homemade-style restaurant is a local gem. While it's primarily a takeout spot, you can enjoy your meal at the outdoor seating area in front. I'm a huge fan of their #5 pan-fired squid. It's served with rice and four delicious side dishes, and it's so good that I often forget to take a photo! I'll definitely remember next time. The restaurant also offers a variety of homemade side dishes, displayed beautifully in a refrigerated case. I can't wait to try some of those in the future.

Yelp
This was not the first time we've had this place, although the only thing we've ever tried is their Gimbap. Went on a Friday night, around 7pm, they closed at 8pm, so we figured it would still be ok.ordered our food. Got two orders of Gimbap, one order or bibimbap and one tteobokki (non-spicy) We were told our food would take about 30 mins An hour and a half later Yes, almost an hour and a half later is when we got our food They close at 8pm Other People were waiting for their food too It's not even a restaurant What took so long for food to be cooked? When we finally got our food, all they said was "sorry" UNACCEPTABLE! Finally got home to eat our food The gimbap we've had in the past so we knew how it tasted, but the tteobokki and the bibimbap did not taste good all. Probably the worse one we've had. Disappointed to say the least I've heard people rave about this place If you're one of them, please let me know what you've had so we can try it Because from this experience, we weren't happy with our food at all, can't forget about the service as well.

Yelp
Food is bland and came out extremely slow even thought we were the only ones there. I visit Asian restaurants often and this one was disappointing.

Yelp
I work in the sorrento valley area and this is my GO TO place for healthy and quick food. (Pro tip: call ahead of time!) It's a no-frills korean place where the lobby/ordering area is probably no bigger than a cubical, but don't let that deceive you! This place used to be ran by Sue herself, where she and maybe 1-2 other people made everything from scratch, everyday (and it shows in the food!). She has since gotten more staff but the quality of food has never changed... (I've been coming here for a while now LOL) The staff themselves are really friendly and are always making sure that you are leaving satisfied. Service can't get any better! If you're in the area and are looking for a nice and healthy lunch, come here!

Yelp
Sue's Korean Kitchen is the go to spot for homey Korean food! I come here often when I am craving a soup or just something homecooked. The service is always great and the food is delicious! My normal orders are Samgyetang (Ginseng chicken soup) and Kimbap. The soups have so much flavor and the kimbap tastes fresh. The prices are reasonable as well and I will continue to come back here :)
google avatar

Eleni P.

Yelp
Sue's Korean Kitchen is located in a small plaza right off Mira Mesa Boulevard. It's a small storefront with no seating inside. You walk in, get what you want, and walk out. I love the home cooked style of food that Sue, the owner, makes. It tastes like it just came out of your Korean grandma's kitchen. The authenticity and the fact that it was clearly made out of love is what keeps me going back for more. I usually order the soondubu with beef. It comes with rice and a side of veggies. The soup itself is hearty and loaded with meat, with just the right amount of spice. The tofu is silky smooth. The flavor is simply delicious and much better than other Korean restaurants that I have tried. I also love getting the kimbap from here. She rolls each kimbap with care, making sure that the majority is filling, not rice. Complement that with a side of spicy fish cakes and you'll have yourself feeling full after a delicious meal. I love Sue's and I hope to continue supporting this small business. She is a wonderful, warm, and welcoming owner who makes delicious food!

Yelp
I have since returned a few more times and still recommend this spot. The beef Kimbap falls apart more easily than their regular one, maybe it was just the day? I prefer the regular Kimbap. Their tofu soup is really good and so filling! Comes with banchan and rice. Still love their potato salad. It is the type with apples in it, just a heads up in case you don't like apples :)

Yelp
Located in the Food Court at Plaza Sorrento is a local mom and pop to-go eatery that specializes in Korean comfort food. My daughter and I were in a mood for Gimbap, so I decided to try out this place. I picked up 2 orders that each had 2 large rolls, each cut into 8 pieces. The cost was $12.99 per order, which was very reasonable. They were really fresh and tasted great! Definitely hit the spot! I will be back to try other stuff next time. The space is really small and the menu is limited. They have a refrigerator that has all kinds of Korean side dishes for sale. The 2 ladies who own and run the store were both really nice. While there were no seating available inside the small unit, there was an abundance of tables in the shared courtyard.

Kathleen Y.

Yelp
Ordered jajang tteokbokki, which was supposed to have rice cakes, vegetables, fishcakes and pork. Came out with really sad portion for $15, had no fish cakes at all, and 5 tiny pieces of pork the size of a pinky finger nail. At that point, just claim it's rice cake and veggies only :/ Absolutely not worth the price. The only saving grace was that it tasted like jajang, but that's not much of one is it? Edit: Revised 4/11/25, originally posted 4/4/25 with 2/5 stars for the above review I appreciate the refund, which Eunsung went out of their way to give, despite not having expected/requested one. As I said, flavorwise, it was what I expected for jajang tteokbokki, so with the customer service, I have changed the review to 4/5 stars

Yelp
Comfort Korean food from this mom-and-pop like shop! It's delicious and portions are decent sized. This is a go-to spot for group take-out, and it's always a hit! :)

Yelp
I love supporting small mom and pop stores and this one has great food! The food is sooo good and they give you so much for the price! I got the gimbap and pork bibimbap and both were so good. When you enter, there's a fridge with a ton of side dishes ranging from $5-$10. I didn't grab any this time, but I'll definitely try some next time.

Yelp
Our fav korean spot in SD! Authentic, no frills, and takeout only but there are plenty of tables outside. Lots of parking. The ahjumma (cashier) is always so nice with a smile on her face! There's tofu soup, bibimbap, fried rice, katsu, etc. they also sell banchan (side dishes). We've tried the katsu, seafood tofu soup (soondubu), Korean pancake, kimbap, and fried dumplings. Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and hits the spot! 100% Korean approved!

Yelp
Rating: 9.5/10 Delicious homemade Korean food, fresh and comforting! Bf and I came to pick up some food on a Saturday at 6:30PM. There were two people ahead of us and only one person making food. In the fridge to the left, there were many different types of banchan that I will definitely be back to try. The menu is small but has many safe and delicious options. 1) Bibimbap (Cup Bop): 9.5/10. A huge portion filled with various crunchy and soft textures. Rice was well cooked and sauce perfectly tied together all the different components of the bibimbap. A safe option for all to enjoy. 2) Kimchi Pancake: 9.5/10. Made fresh by Miss Sue in the back. Was very delicious and perfectly seasoned. We ate it 20 minutes after getting the order, so the pancakes were a little bit soggy but the edges were still very crispy. Not spicy, and we dipped it in the bibimbap sauce, which made it even more yummy. 3) Kimbap: 9.5/10. Very big pieces (which I love) with lots of filling inside. There is a crunchy texture inside that makes this so addicting. We dipped this in the bibimbap sauce that came with the bibimbap, but I wish that there was a sauce included with just the kimbap. Miss Sue behind the counter was working so hard to get our food out to us quickly. Such a cute and modest restaurant, but I can feel the hard work and enthusiasm to serve delicious Korean food to their customers. Please come and support, they deserve only amazing things!!!

Yelp
Make sure to order online or way ahead if itms busy. waited more than 45min for food. Very tasty though

Yelp
Got Gimbap, fish cakes, seaweed salad, and potato salad to go. Had the gimbap for dinner and it was so filling and very fresh. Planning to use the banchan I got as add ons for my dinners these next few days as there is a good amount in each container. They were all really fresh and delicious. I will note that their version of potato salad includes apple which I am not a fan of. This place is kind of hidden and tucked away in the plaza but worth checking out for some delicious Korean food to pick up and eat.

Jessie K.

Yelp
Look at this. Pork cutlet. Just look how thin the meat is--only 2mm of pork. I have no idea how many times it was deep-fried before being served... I handed it to my child, and only after she had eaten quite a bit did I notice it. If I had seen it earlier, I wouldn't have let her eat it. I'm really upset.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Sue's kitchen is a genuine mom and pop! The food is flavorful and fresh. This is a counter. There is a couple of outdoor tables that are shared between different restaurants. The service is quick. I liked that you can get authentic kimchi to-go. The kimchi spicy and delicious. We ordered the kimchi pancake, Gimbap, and silken, tofu soup. I don't eat meat, and I ordered the vegetable Gimbap and it had a little piece of ham in it. It wasn't a big deal because I poked out the ham, but if you're vegetarian, definitely double check. I recommend this place and will be back.

S L.

Yelp
I'm so glad Sue's is nearby! It's a cozy shop where you can get cozy comfort Korean food. The food has always been fresh and yummy. I especially love and appreciate the huge fridge of banchan - I always get a few because there's nothing like freshly made sides to go.

Arielle W.

Yelp
I am actually so astonished that there are any bad reviews for this place as this is the best food I've ever had! Sues kitchen is seriously the most delicious, authentic Korean food. Me and my family travel to San Diego every year and we eat here almost every night we are in town! The employees are also so welcoming and kind. The dumpling soup is my fav! 10/10!!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been looking all over San Diego for a good Korean spot and I think I've found it. I grew up in LA/OC so I have high expectations, and the prices and homemade taste of the food at Sue's Kitchen doesn't disappoint. Lunch special prices Monday to Friday until 2:30 - huge portions for an amazing price. Tofu soup (lunch special), seafood: pretty spicy. Interestingly contains carrots and zucchini which I haven't encountered before but not complaining. Amazingly soft and flavorful tofu, wouldn't be surprised if it was made in house. Broth is not very salty surprisingly. Only wish it had more seafood: had 1 mussel and 1 small shrimp. Cut bap (lunch special): HUGE portion, so big that it takes up two containers! I loved the potato and mushroom side dishes. Beef is a tad bit sweet for my taste but not bad. Gimbap (regular menu): comparatively a bit pricier at $13 but the best thing on the menu. Huge pieces, delicious. I think there's imitation crab, spam, fish cake as meat. To-go orders only but there is outdoor seating in the plaza. Came on Thursday and waited maybe 15 min for our food. Overall very homemade tasting, generous portion sizes, and happy to support a small business!

Yelp
I have been constantly craving Korean Kimbap this entire trip. I can't get enough of the stuff. I just find myself searching for Kimbap pretty much every day. This place was hard to locate, look for the food court sign, it's hidden in the back corner of this plaza. It's along the way from the dosa place. Two packets of already made Kimbap, not freshly made for $13 a pack, Perrier eater and radish kimchi and kimchi for $52.24. Service is quick, easy in and out. The cubed radish kimchi is so-so, doesn't taste as bad as the kimchi sauce. Kimchi is rather off for kimchi, comes with pieces of radishes too, if I had known that I wouldn't have bought the separate radish kimchi. The kimchi tastes quite off, can't put my finger on it, but it's not good. The Kimbap was just okay, not as fresh as I would have liked. I would have also preferred fresh rolls less the ham, but at least they were easy to pop out of the piece. Not sure it was worth $52+ for the food I bought today to me.

Yelp
Decided to try this place because it was highly reviewed and can say it did not disappoint. Very budget friendly and sharable portions. The staff is also super friendly and will be coming back to support this small business. However, did have to wait a bit but was no biggy because it was lunch time when we went.

Yelp
Love love love this place. Their food tastes warm and comforting, like a home cooked meal at your auntie's house. We always get the bibimbap, gimbap, japchae, or bulgogi. They have lots of fresh banchan for sale as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot to grab lunch, especially since there is a lunch menu. It is take out only, but there is a lot of seating outside this restaurant. I have tried: -Gimbap 5/5 stars: filled with veggies, fish cake, rice and comes with two rolls. -Samgyetang 5/5 stars: packed so well for take out and is stuffed with sticky rice inside of the chicken. This also comes with a side of rice and two sides. A great option when you are looking for a nice hot soup dish when you aren't feeling well. -Galbi 5/5 stars: marinated short ribs, rice, and two sides. You cannot go wrong ordering this plate. -Chicken cutlet 3/5 stars: I wish there was sauce for the chicken cutlet because it was very plain to eat with rice alone. Will probably order another dish if I visit Sue's again. Plenty of parking available in the shared lot with Burger King, Aldi's.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Sue's Korean Kitchen for a while now and was finally able to find it. The location via Yelp does not take you directly to the location. You need to park and go through the food court, and walk right from Charminar Indian restaurant and you'll find it. Here's what I ordered: Bulgoki sliced beef ($15), kimchee pancake ($9), and Gimbap ($11.99). Everything was delicious. Pros: -friendly staff -tasty food -good portion sizes -they accept credit cards Cons: -n/a Other: -there are no seats inside, but there are tables outside where you can enjoy your food -lots of people were calling in their order Overall, a great location for Korean food. I can't wait to go back and try more items.

Yelp
This hole-in-the-wall is hidden away in the corner of the Sorrento Valley Plaza, but might just be one of the best spots there. It's a great place to grab some affordable Korean food to-go during lunch! I got the Tofu Soup and it filled me up so much for the price.
google avatar

Kerry W.

Yelp
The food here is delicious! We ordered the galbi short ribs and chicken cutlet lunch. Everything was cooked perfectly, the galbi was sweet and perfectly savory and the chicken cutlet was crunchy and the sauce was tasty. I loved all the side dishes and the dressing was so good that my husband stole the salad. We will definitely be back when we are in town.

Yelp
Have you ever tasted something and just felt like you were at home? That's how I'd describe the food at Sue's Kitchen. The kimbap here is THICK, filled with meat and veggies. I would say that Sue's soft tofu stew is my favorite in SD. It's simultaneously clean-tasting but somehow also packs a lot of flavor and the perfect amount of heat. The pan-fried squid has great texture and is cooked in a gochujang sauce that I would die for. I swear, the side dishes here are ADDICTIVE. I don't normally like eggplant, but I'll still gobble up that side dish from Sue's. Their menu is not super expansive, but they have all of the classics such as soft tofu stew, bulgogi, kimbap, bibimbap, and herbal ginseng chicken (samgyetang). They also sell individual refrigerated side dishes and stews in containers of different sizes, so you can buy in bulk! Keep in mind that this place is takeout only, but there are chairs and tables outside in a shared dining area if you want to eat the food fresh. Sue's is a real underdog in the SD Korean food scene. Their location is not as popular, and they are takeout only because the space is so small. They're also not as well-known as the giants of Convoy such Grandma's, Friend's--most of which are super overrated in my opinion. Yet they dish out some of the tastiest Korean food I've had in SD. Every time I eat the food at Sue's, I can tell it was made with love. I quite literally crave this EVERY MONTH. Hoping they get the recognition they deserve!!

Yelp
Tucked away in Sorrento Plaza, is where you'll find this cute mom and pop shop serving up some delicious food! There is no dine in, but there are picnic tables right out front for you to enjoy your meal. Service was exceptional. I phoned in my order and was able to pick it up without hassle. I tried the gimbap (which is pre-prepared and packaged to go), kim chee pancake and bulgogi plate to share with my family. The portions are huge and the quality and taste are exceptional. If you're craving korean food, definitely recommend checking them out. Service is also great and ample parking as it's in a shared shopping plaza!
google avatar

Sylvia H.

Yelp
We frequently pick up Sue's for dinner when we are too tired to cook. It's quick to pick up, the portions are great and the food is delicious. We always get the beef bibimbap. So many veggies with the meat. It's very filling and tasty. Their tofu soup is also delicious and very flavorful. Comes with rice and usually 2-3 banchan. This time was potatoes, eggplant, and bean sprouts. Kimbap is also good. And I really love their fridge full of sides. I always pick up kimchi, it's so much better than at hmart or the store. The ladies that work there are also so friendly. It's a takeout place, so no seating. But you can always pick up and eat outdoors. Plenty of outdoor seating.

Yelp
Ahjimma was so nice. She was really clear the food was going to take a bit as they had ran out of of few things but would make it fresh. I loved the fact it felt home styled, the food was amazing. Even if the place was small, it deserves a lot of love from the community. I highly recommend getting the bibimbap and buying some extra kimchi! You won't regret it!

Yelp
We ordered the bulgogi kimbap, beef japchae, jajang tteokbokki, and a premade side dish. The cashier confirmed our order multiple times after each item was placed. Since this is a takeout-only place with no seating inside, we took our food to go. However, when we got home, we realized they had given us regular tteokbokki instead of the jajang tteokbokki. When we called to explain, the person on the phone (who wasn't the cashier who took our order but was standing close to him) confirmed that we had been charged for the regular tteokbokki instead of the jajang tteokbokki. She offered to refund us for the mistake, which I accepted as a reasonable way to resolve the issue. After a while, the same person called me back and essentially said they couldn't refund us because we got what we paid for. No other solutions were offered to fix the mistake. This was disappointing, especially since we didn't order the regular tteokbokki in the first place. I wonder how they would have handled the situation if I didn't pick up the phone call since I usually don't pick up calls I don't recognize. To make matters worse, I'm visiting from out of town and won't be back for a while, which made the situation even more discouraging. I suppose it was partly our fault for not double-checking the receipt or food before leaving, but we didn't want to drive another 15 minutes back to the restaurant. Aside from this issue, the food was really good and flavorful. The size of the kimbap was pretty big but the size of the tteokbokki was smaller than expected. We were excited to try the jajang tteokbokki, a unique dish we haven't seen anywhere else, but unfortunately, the mix-up left us a bit disappointed. If anything, this experience serves as a reminder to double-check your receipt and order before leaving, as they won't do anything about it if you get what you paid for.

Yelp
Sue's is one of my favorite places to get Korean food. Everything I've tried so far has been very fresh and tastes like home cooking. You can only get your food to go as there is no indoor seating. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating in the food court. The family that owns the store is sweet as can be and very patient with us non-Koreans! This time around, I ordered the Cupbap, which was a cup of rice served with a variety of ingredients...beef bulgogi, fresh vegetables, and banchan. The portions were generous....I could only eat half and saved the rest for later. I mixed everything together with the gochugang sauce it came with, and wow, absolutely delicious! The meat was tender and slightly sweet, which went great with the spicy sauce. Vegetables were crunchy and sides added a nice variety of flavors for me to taste. I also ordered a small container of sliced fish cake, and that was a good complement to the meal. I loved the fridge full of side dishes that were ready for purchase so when you have a craving at home there is something ready! I'm looking forward to my next visit so I can try more dishes!

Yelp
Good. Fast food. Gets busy during lunch time, wouldn't go out of my way to travel here but it's perfect work lunch time fix. Nough said.

Yelp
Found this hole in the wall while we were walking around in the plaza. This place is to go only and it's run by one woman as far as we could tell, definitely doesn't sacrifice the quality of the food!! Prices are fair for the portion size although they didn't give that much rice. Overall, this experience was very pleasant. There's limited space in the plaza to eat so we just went home. Gimbap 8/10 Spicy Pork Bulgoki - 8/10

Yelp
Not so recently I gave high praise to Sue's Korean Kitchen partly because of the amount of their serving, more specifically, the side dishes. Unfortunately for the past 2 visits hasn't been the same. My orders (bulgogi meal# 1) wasn't the same as the previous ones as far as the amount of side veggies. Last time I had a couple of boiled or steamed carrots and broccoli with some mushroom and a couple of fish cake. Idk if there's a change in staff or management but I am very disappointed.

Yelp
They have so many sides to choose from in the fridge! We had bibimbap and it was good. I am sure it would have been better if we didn't eat outdoors where it was slightly chilly. Food got cold right away. Lol...I know most of the stuff on it was cold to start out with. Meat was very flavorful! Good amount was served on it. No eating in this restaurant but plenty of shared eating space outdoors. Service was just okay. She was only steps from us and she didn't seem to notice us right away. I had to say something to get her attention. I'll be back as there are more items on the menu I would like to try like galbi and bulgogi.

Yelp
Gimbap was amazing!!! Waaay better than grocery store gimbap for a similar price, and chock full of many ingredients. If you're looking for a casual small business to support, definitely check out Sue's Kitchen! It's a really small hole in the wall type place with only outdoor patio seating, so we took out gimbaps to go. It was definitely a great deal, with two rolls for $13 in one plate. I also took a small container of kimchi, and I feel like I could really taste the quality and homemade-ness. If you're busy, it would probably be better to call your order in, since it's just Sue at the counter, so there could be a bit of a wait if there's multiple people in front of you. Overall, a fantastic, authentic, homey mom and pop shop.

Yelp
This place is great! It's just a couple Korean ladies making some super flavorful food. Nothing fancy. Solid customer service. Bulgogi sauce has sweet from the Asian pears and spice from the Korean chill sauce (gochujang). We normally buy bottles of the sauce and make Asian tacos with beef at home. But store bought sauce will never top the legit made sauce. Happy as hell to find this place. Me and the wife both got the pork Bulgogi. I asked for it extra spicy. Even the regular order is spicy though. Portion size is really good and it comes with rice and chimchi. We ate and then had leftovers. I may try something else at some point, but it's gonna be hard for me say any other words besides - Pork Bulgogi extra spicy please.
