I'm a wedding photographer and photographed a simple, pretty three-tiered cake from Sugar Blooms Bakery about a month ago at Red Barn Villa in Oregon City. I heard chatter among the guests about how good it tasted. While I didn't taste it myself, the cake photographed so beautifully! A perfect cake for florals.

I ordered a birthday cake for my son’s first birthday. I discussed about the birthday theme and my liking with her and based on that she made a cake perfect from inside out. The decors, color, taste everything was beyond expectation. Highly recommended!

Super excited about having a new bakery in Bethany Village. Very cute shop and the customer service was excellent. I had a passionfruit cupcake and a strawberry rhubarb scone. The scone was very flavorful and super moist. I really enjoyed it. Wasn’t a fan of the cupcake. Seems like they use a sponge type of cake and it was just kind of rubbery & flavorless in my opinion. I probably won’t get the cupcakes again but I will definitely stop by for the scones and I’ll try the cookies next since they have really great reviews!

I ordered a custom design birthday cake for my son’s birthday and it turned out amazing! The design was perfect and the cake was not too sweet! They were busy yet went out of their way to get the cake done in a short notice on the day of our event! Great service!

Fantastic! This place is absolutely amazing. It's so nice that Bethany Village has a bakery! The cheesecake is THE BEST EVER! It is out of this world - galaxies near and far should worship this cheesecake. The tiramisu is perfect, light and creamy yet flavorful. The dacquoise cookies are also light and flavorful. It's not just sweets, their garlic buns - SO GOOD! Also their scones are really good as well, we had a bacon one with a kimchi glaze, that was so unique and delicious. 10/10 if I could live in this bakery I would. Highly recommend a visit for sweet and savory treats!

Always a good experience when ordering a birthday cake! Chi is literally the best! I didn’t have a design in mind and only told her my daughter like watermelon, strawberry, and rainbow and she did her magic and this birthday cake is perfect ! Not only it look so pretty but it was delicious too!! Everyone love it so much and it the perfect amount of sweetness. Thank you so much again chi! 💕🫶🏼

Sugar Blooms Bakery made our special day even more special with their wedding cakes! We got a two-tier cutting cake and three sheet cakes to feed our 80 guests. We got a cake sample box to taste the flavors before ordering, and chose vanilla buttercream frosted white cakes with chocolate, vanilla, and lemon curd fillings. All were a hit! Sugar Blooms was very easy to talk via email about our needs, questions, and expectations, and the results were amazing—both in terms of appearance and taste! Everyone told us how delicious the cakes were! We recommend them for any special occasion. And we love popping into the bakery for the occasional cookie, which are also top tier!

I went when it was their 1 year anniversary/birthday! I decided to be one of the early birds to wait in line :) Anyways, super happy that they're successful and creating a variety of delicious sweets! Below are the goodies that I bought and gifted for being the top 20 customers in line. What I bought: 1. Bunny pudding: SO CUTE! I've seen this trend everywhere and am so glad that they have their own version. It was adorable. For $6.50 I was a bit skeptical because I thought it would be cheaper. However, it was too cute! It was good. Subtle in flavor but the texture was nice. It was thick pudding. I think it took me 2 days to nibble on it with my mom so we could enjoy it. The jam with it WAS AMAZING! I loved the slight tartness to it. The only thing was that the jam was red and it was behind the bunny so it looked...yes...you can be creative there haha. 2. Salted egg yolk cookie. Love salted egg anything and was surprise to see this as a cookie! Love the Asian flavors! It was lovely. It also had a little bit of a leaf on it and it created a little curry flavor taste. I don't know what it is but combined with the salted egg, delicious. It was my first time trying a more savory cookie. Gifted: They also gave me a salted egg yolk cookie which was great, I got 2 haha. 1. Chocolate macaron. I don't really like macarons because they're usually too sweet. However! This was good. Not too sweet and the chocolate flavor was present. It was a good size and it was super cute 2. Matcha macadamia nut cookie. I've had this one before, still good! 3. Brownie chocolate cookie. THIS WAS MASSIVE! Huge~! And yet, still chewy, fudgy, and full of chocolate. Yum! If you're a chocolate lover like me, you'll like this! I will drop by again in the near future!

I reached out for a custom cake via email and was responded back pretty quickly to get the ball rolling! The menu option is made short and sweet allowing you to be a part of the process the entire way through. I do wish there was an order form though for me to fill out but that's just me! The day I went to go get the cake unfortunately the ac wasn't working properly that she had to troubleshoot that and was still working on my cake which was no issue for me at all! I was in no rush and things happen, I appreciated her being open and transparent with me. At the end she gave me these passionfruit pudding cups on the house for the wait which was so kind! And they were THE MOST DELICIOUS PUDDING IVE EVER HAD! I will definitely have to go in just to grab pastries next time! The shop is on the smaller side I feel like more than 2-3 customers is a crowd. There is also parking available in front of the shop, though it is small so plan accordingly. Otherwise great service, wonderful artistry! My bf loved his cake :)

When my usual bakery closed permanently in Portland, this gem came on my radar. Unbelievable that this little store is just a few minutes drive from my parents' home. I was on the look out for some delicious cake. Unique flavors and beautiful decorations just happened to be a perk. Minh, the owner, the matter how busy it gets, is always so personable and enthusiastic. She brought two visions for two of my daughters' birthday themes to life within a reasonable range. One was a Mermaid birthday and the other Avatar themed. Both times we picked a pandan cake layered with pandan buttercream. Wow the structure held up very well after thawing out for a few hours. Cake was incredibly soft and moist without being too sweet. The Asian flavors mixed with a conventional American twist made for the perfect marriage. I really hope this bakery does well. It is such a treat to order cakes here. Will definitely have to try the durian or lychee next time.

Amazing treats! There are so many wonderful options it was hard to choose. I ultimately chose the famous garlic bun and it was wonderful. My son had the cream cheese oero cookie and I don't recall any crumbs leftover. The owners were really friendly and would answer any and all questions. No indoor seating, but there ample options outside.

I ordered multiple cakes for my daughter's farm theme birthday party. Sugar Blooms did an amazing job. They made sure all the cakes match the theme. The cake was beautiful and DELICIOUS. The fruit filling was rich and I like that it wasn't overly sweet. This is an A+ bakery right in the heart of Bethany. I am so glad that we finally have a quality bake shop in the area.

Grabbed a variety of things here after our Bethany library visit and to enjoy while our kids splashed around in the fountain. We tried: Kimchi bacon scone -- great weight and texture and crumb, neither the kimchi nor bacon component were overwhelming (maybe left me wanting more..?) Miso chocolate chip mochi cookie -- basically a cookie wrapped around a chewy mochi core Kochujang cookie -- also yummy, with hints of the chili spice coming thru Everything was tasty and I'm sure we'll make this a regular thing now!

The cream puffs were really good. The honey comb cake was lacking. I will give other items a try since the cream puff was good.

I am so delighted that an Asian bakery opened in Bethany! The pastries are so creative and the taste is to die for. After much deliberation, lots of friendly advice, and some back and forth, I finally decided to try the taro cupcake and the Vietnamese coffee scone. They did not disappoint. Everything was light and not too sweet. The taro tasted so fresh and it was clear that the inside was real taro, not an flavor imitation. The scone in particular though was my absolute favorite. It was sweet, but balanced out with coffee bits inside. As someone who absolutely adores sweets, I'm so excited about their store opening!! 10/10 will come back and try everything :)

Holy Butter Batman! I am so picky about cookies and have never once said, "I would buy these for every special event!" These are the perfect combination of crisp outer shell and soft, gooey center. You can taste the beautiful ingredients used. I simply cannot gush enough.

I ordered a cake from Sugar Blooms for my sister's graduation. I was planning from out of town & planned to pick up the cake the night prior because I didn't have time the day of our event. She told me storing the cake overnight in a regular fridge could ruin the delicate design. She was so sweet and offered to deliver it to us instead! This helped me out and made my life so much easier!!! The cake was exactly what I asked for and absolutely gorgeous! It was also delicious & we literally had 2 slices left because everyone loved it haha. We got the pandan and vanilla cakes. Thank you Sugar Blooms!!

Overpriced Yule log cake! $75 for a small cake all cream and ugly decorations. My family of 20 can't even finish 1/2 cake. This is what left after a week and we had to throw it away. Sorry no pictures from the beginning as it's so ugly that no one want to take pictures of it.

super cute, you can tell they are baked with love. i love when bakeries have a few tiny things for people to grab and eat. the cupcake was delicious!

I stopped in the day after their grand opening and their cases were fully stocked with goodies. The bakery is very small and can only fit a few customers at a time making it difficult to scope out all the goods but service was quick and friendly. I decided on the mochi cookie for me and the brownie cookie for my boys. A little pricey for the cookies, the brownie cookie was large though. The mochi cookie texture and flavor was amazing! Super soft mochi and very strong coconut flavor in the cookie, would definitely be back for it. The brownie cookie was just ok and I wouldn't get again. The texture was crumbly and slightly bitter from the strong cocoa used. There were also super small nut chunks in it that gave it an odd texture, my son said he wouldn't want it again. Overall good variety and interesting flavors, online ordering would be beneficial

Was having a terrible day but decided I need to a sweet treat to pick me up. They had samples of four different flavors of dacquoise & I got the hojicha blackberry one. Tasty and not too sweet! Service was very friendly and the intimate space was beautifully decorated with some soft mandopop playing. I'll definitely be back to try more sweets!

Ordered cupcakes for a graduation party and they were cute and delicious. I would order from here again. It is a bit expensive but I was pleased!

I ordered a cake for my parent's 35th anniversary (the day before I was to drive out of town) and Minh was so gracious to accommodate. I can't thank her enough. The cake was gorgeous and absolutely delicious. The highest compliment I can give is my mom (who is not a big sweets person) actually had a second slice of cake. Very happy with my purchase.
