"Outrageous Vegas-based chain Sugar Factory American Brasserie will kick open the doors to its first Texas location on Friday, November 5, with the opening of an outpost at 1900 Cedar Springs Road in Uptown. The restaurant is known for two things: an obsession with over-the-top sweets designed to rack up Instagram likes, and a penchant for attracting reality stars for photo ops. Sugar Factory Dallas will feature a 200-seat dining room and outdoor dining with fire pits. A private room can accommodate up to 66 diners, while there are 20 barstool seats and 40 high-top tables in the bar area. The entire space is meant for selfies, thanks to flower-covered walls and ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling candy wall in the retail store offering 50 different types of candy for sale. The dishes are just as wild as the decor: it’s the type of place where the pancakes in a “Strawberry Cheesecake Overload Pancake Stack” are stacked high enough that there’s enough room to balance a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar on top. Intense desserts include “Sugar Factory’s Insane Milkshakes” served in chocolate-covered mugs, or the King Kong Sundae, a behemoth with 24 scoops of ice cream (enough for 12 people) all covered with sprinkles, gummy bears, caramel sauce, fudge sauce, giant whirly pops, and sparklers. Savory dishes are just as fanciful: popular items include a “Flaming Hot Cheetos Burger,” which is served on a brioche bun coated with Flaming Hot Cheetos dust. On the drinks list, “smoking cocktail goblets” are another Sugar Factory signature. These gigantic 60-oz drinks with dry ice are named after celebrities, like Brody Jenner’s Mamitas Seltzer or Snoop Dogg’s Tropical Fruit Punch, and cost $39 each. Speaking of celebs, D-list and otherwise, Sugar Factory Dallas will host two celebrity events in November that are open to the public. First off, actor/musician/TV personality Nick Cannon will christen the restaurant with a DJ set at 9 p.m. on November 5, the opening date. Then on November 13, “Jersey Shore” star Pauly D will make an appearance in Dallas in his official capacity as “SugarFactory’s official DJ.” Pauly’s DJ set is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Sugar Factory Dallas on Saturday, November 13." - Adele Chapin

Love the aesthetic and atmosphere here. Service was excellent. Our food came out very quickly! Our waitress, Jasmine, was amazing. The food is presented incredibly. It looks gorgeous and is plated very well, however the taste doesn't live up to the looks in my opinion. My strawberry cheesecake stuffed waffle was in fact not stuffed. It just had pieces of cheesecake sprinkled around it and the waffle wasn't anything special (definitely not worth $21). The same could be said of the rest of our meal. It all looked beautiful and was good but it didn't taste amazing and definitely isn't worth what they charge. It's a fun experience I guess though.

I was shocked by all the bad reviews I read. My family and I went to the sugar factory for a late lunch and it was outstanding. Our waitress Melissa was wonderful. My husband had the rainbow sliders. He said they were amazing. I had a blue cheese cheeseburger with fries and it was great. My stepdaughter had loaded french fries with cheese and ranch mixed into it it was wonderful. I had a deep fried Oreo milkshake that was delicious. There was no loud music in fact there was no music playing. Our food came out within 5 minutes with drinks. The tables and silverware and napkins were all clean. The bill was $200 and with tip $240. Yes it's expensive but it's a tourist destination what do you expect. It is somewhat difficult to find because it is located in the bottom of a building. We arrived to eat around 2:00 and there's only one other party in the restaurant. I look forward to coming back maybe not soon because it cost a lot of money but next time I'm in Dallas I will return. There is no parking around the building you must go a half a block south to park in the public parking lot. This is not a place to bring your mother on mother's Day nor is it a place for 45-year-old woman to celebrate a birthday. It is a place to bring kids to eat dessert before dinner and to have a good time with children. To the woman who wrote the review that they didn't have her proper alcohol for her drink All I can say is if you're so concerned about what alcohol to bring along maybe you should seek alcoholics anonymous because that's not normal. It's called a candy factory sugar factory not the drunk tank. Yes there's a mandatory 20% tip but if you had to deal with your bunch of screaming kids argumentative parents serving them chocolate you too would want the 20%. If you're worried about the money then don't go go to Taco Bell.

Let me start off by saying I have eaten at this location, as well as the location in Orlando, and loved it, but tonight was not it. I went for Mother's Day dinner, but the restaurant was not very busy so I really do not understand why our waiter was so absent. "If you need anything, let me know", hard to do when you're never on the floor. He delivered my dinner with no silverware, and our glasses were empty nearly the whole time. Now, the food. The spinach artichoke dip was flavorless. The chips, though pretty, were stale. As well as the bread on the sliders. My Brick Chicken was supposed to be chicken breast, but it came with a bone which had all the red slimy parts. And again, also lacking in flavor with everything else. The asparagus was over cooked and the french fries were cold and unsalted. I'm not the pickiest eater, but there was nothing I enjoyed about this $120 meal. And you're forced to tip 20% gratuity regardless of the service (YES I still tipped an additional 15%). I do love the atmosphere here, however our table was dirty, as were several others. I've had such good experiences in the past, though its been YEARS, that I've spoken so highly of this place. My mother had been looking forward to it for her special dinner for week, and the lack luster of it all was not only disappointing but embarrassing. Not sure if I will be back to this location.

Ambiance and atmosphere was great✨ Took forever to be served, many big parties going on, loud music, could barely hear - once we did get our server - he was wonderful. Food was very yummy, slightly overpriced - Really enjoyed the hot Cheeto burger 🍔 Would recommend trying to go at not such a busy time.

We definitely had an "AWESOME" , "HIGH ENERGY", "OVER THE TOP" experience at this place, while helping celebrate our friend''s birthday.   The food was great and the service was awesome.  Desserts were a "WOW". I'd definitely, would have to say that our first impression was "JAW DROPPING" and will be remembered forever. The only thing I would change would be the dinnerware. To have such an experience and roll out your dinnerware to cheap utensils was a big surprise. Our waitress, Toriana was one of a kind and definitely completed her 10 steps and more. She cared about our experience and made things perfect. She made suggestions for food based on each person's taste buds and fulfilled any special requests. It was such an awesome experience.  Thank you Toriana for making our experience so, "Magical". You are enough!

We came to Sugar Factory for lunch for my daughter’s 7th birthday. The atmosphere was good, the birthday singing was very loud it startled my daughter. When she heard it, she did not want to part-take with them singing for her. I had the Steak Sandwich Melt which was very small and the fry portions were perfect. Birthday girl had a waffle sundae, others had a sundae, Cajun Alfredo, Alfredo and Brick Chicken. Overall it was a good experience and would do it again.

Google
The presentation of the food is very nice. Unfortunately the service is slow even though it wasn't very busy. Our waiter was very nice when he was available. My glass was very dirty, as was the fork. This was my first time going to the location. Perhaps it's time for a remodel. The bathroom was missing a large portion of the counter in the front of the sink. A toilet was out of order with an unprofessional sign letting you know. Things happen, of course, but with those prices and wait time, I'd think repairs should be faster. My burger was delicious.

Google
We had a great time at Sugar Factory last night. The place had high energy which was expected. They were very accommodating with us and our reservation. Toriana, our server, was the best. She gave us some good suggestions on the food and desserts. We enjoyed the entertainment. This is definitely a unique spot for those special occasions when you want something different. My friends and I are glad we tried it. Thanks, Tori, for making our first time a great time!

Yelp
Birthday Celebration for my 18 year old was interesting! Listen Linda, they gets down on the ground up in Sugar Factory. Shake your tail feather ain't got nothing on them! That lady had them spoons going and she was consistent! (Watch the video) Sugar factory in Dallas ain't nothing like Vegas. So forget what you think sugar factory is when you come in here. Whew.. When I say it was 50 11 kids in there. They was cheerleading, doing the worm and all kinds of stuff! My 18 year old was like Whhhhhhyyyyyy am I here!' Somebody helllpp. Dad where are you?!! So I don't advise it for older kids ...at least not on a weekday. The service was great tho. Our waitress was funny and caring. She did good trying to twerk between order deliveries. Kim was very helpful and respected that my son didn't want to birthday dance lol I was a tad disappointed with my drink. It was salty! Just caused it's called Aqua Wave Margarita don't mean it gotta taste like saltwater . I didn't care for it. Not worth $19! The drinks are alllll highly overpriced. I AM not paying $45 for drink , I don't care how much it smokes and sizzles. Nope! And people were paying $45 for kids to take 2 sips and say "me don't want it". Not my business but Unbelievable! My son ordered A burger! ‍‍The Big burger. It was cool. Nothing special. However they do have a lot of great options to choose from. My son is just...basic with food I ordered the hot honey chicken and waffles. I was really upset that I couldn't have all white meat. Cause whyyyy?? I will pay extra. That was not an option. So it was 1 breast, 1 thigh, 1 leg that had to be 1 oz and a wing that was certainly .6 ozs. Never seen chicken so small! However ,The meat was well seasoned and waffle was delicious and fresh! Very very good! You really won't need the syrup! Now here's the kicker, you know how chicken look when you REFRY it to make it fresh? Look closely at the pic. Uhh huh. Hot honey chicken and waffles, cheeseburger, 1 margaritas =$87.23. $100 with tip. Per my son's request, Kim did not twerk At our table so she got 15% tip. Pro Tip: look at the menu before you go it's 4 pages FULL! It was literally a novel . Btw. I did not complain about any of this. I didn't want to ruin my son's mood. It was NOT a bad experience , just one that needs improving. KIM was BOMB! They do have an area where you can buy candy and it's great for pictures. I regret not ordering the ice cream. The ones we saw looks soooo good.

Yelp
I will never step foot in this location ever again!! Made reservations and show up on time after paying for valet only to be told to wait to be seated....news flash the restaurant was empty and dirty....we traveled to Dallas for my aunt's wedding and booked these reservations in advance because we enjoyed the Atlanta location and wanted my children to experience. Epic fail!!! Finally we are seated and the table, floor, seats are filthy and I asked for a diff table. The second table yet clean due to another staff member scurrying to clean it before we sat down was in the middle of an abandoned restaurant. We then waited almost an hour to eat. The food was not bad but I'm not going to lie I was so scared to even eat it. We opted not to try desserts and after our gift card the amount we were charged to eat in a dirty rest with poor service and long wait times without even having no more than possible 3 other tables was absurd. I did not argue we paid the bill and left. This is prob the first time I've never tipped and even though they charge gratuity I honestly don't even think it was worth that. Please stay away from the Dallas location!!

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere, but the service is lacking. They didnt have the drink I wanted which was the hypnotic long island. They brought all the food for everyone else and did not tell me that they were out of my food until I waited for her to come back and I asked where my food was. An hour in, I still do not have food nor do I have my drink which is a mai tai. I wouldn't be in a rush to come back. It's a really cute place though

Yelp
Wow! What an experience! The music is loud & definitely a party celebration vibe! Lots of people choose to come here for a special celebration like bachelorette or birthdays. I like that there is a gift shop with so many items to choose from. It's located in Dallas & parking is in a parking garage near by. The inside has lots of instagram worthy photo ops! The menu is very extensive! Lots of different drink options (alcoholic & non). So many food options & a ice cream experience you can purchase to shout out your special occasion!

Jenna B.

Yelp
first, let me say this is the perfect spot for drinks. The food here is OK but the alcoholic beverages are awesome. I really enjoyed my cotton candy martini. celebrated my little cousins birthday birthday and had an awesome time. The staff sings happy birthday and provides a really nice birthday ice cream snack. We ordered so much food. This is a very pricey place to eat. The ambience here is really nice you feel like you are in Candyland and the staff are very pleasant. The food is not the best but if you're into candy and you love drinks, I highly recommend I will return just for the cotton candy martini.

Yelp
People were nice, food was either really unimpressive or nice presentation, never ever will I go Friday or Saturday i can't imagine if it is crowded how much worse things could be....we made reservation and were seated promptly, NOTE menu online and menu they hand you do NOT match, very extensive drink and food selections...Let me pause here to say if you wish to read no further the service was the worst I ever had & will be the theme of this review...placed order and 25 minutes later the 1 flight of mimosas ordered finally arrive & I had to ask for the duck. Everyone else had water which took forever to get refilled throughout the meal. Appetizers macaroni pops look impressive tasted frozen-mushed noodles no oozing cheese, cheddar fries just looked like a puddle of cheese-but were good-except had to flag someone down for plates, of which 2 came dirty, and ketchup. French toast major disappointment (see pic), monty cristo barely any meat and major disappointment plus had to wait for the jam it is to be served with, and side salad came with no dressing and once we were able to get service were then told didn't have the dressing we requested-no one told us that so we could skip the salad (we did not eat), waffle burger-yes finally a win-looked amazing and was good, stuffed omelette also looked good and was good. This place is obviously about the sweets & drinks...we sadly couldn't get milkshakes which we saw all around us and seemed to bring smiles, Birthday girl did get a song and small treat and we did order stuffed chocolate chip cookie which looked amazing & was good enough i suppose -whip cream was amazing! Finally the ticket which didn't show the auto gratuity so they were double tipped on a service that deserved below industry standard to begin with. So if u read through all of this the experience was not worth the very poor service which left us never wanting to return.

Janice G.

Yelp
The food was way overcooked. Service was slow in fact at points the waiter disappeared. The restaurant was very loud. I used a Groupon and the waiter disappeared with my phone for almost 5 minutes rather than bringing the manager to the table. I asked for a receipt and never received it. I believe I was overcharged however they did not give me a receipt to verify it. I went to the candy shop to buy candy. The scale was not working so the manager guesstimated and said she was giving me a discount. Once again no way to verify the price besides no prices were listed. I have yet to be contacted by the company.

Yelp
Gimme some SUGAR! Welcome to all things sweet at @sugarfactorydallas! If you're looking for over the top bubbling boozy drinks, mega sized burgers and delicious (and IG worthy) milkshakes, then this is the place to be! There are great menu items to choose from and over 49 different cocktails served in huge goblets, perfect for sharing if you like. Some of my faves from my visit: - Spinach and Artichoke Dip Appetizer - Chicken and Waffles -Angus Filet & Lobster Surf and Turf Drinks you HAVE to try!: -Strawberry Cadillac Reposado Margarita Goblet (complete with Cadillac shaped gummy candies) -Candy Shop Goblet (Designed and Tasted by Rapper and Actor 50 Cent) Shake it up with a delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake topped with a heavenly slice of cheesecake AND a red velvet cupcake I also recommend the Fondue if you're looking for a variety of sweets to indulge in The Sugar Factory is located at 1900 Cedar Springs Road in Downtown Dallas! #hosted #sugarfactorydallas #dallasfoodie #downtowndallasrestsurants #dallasfoodblogger

Yelp
First time visiting, loved the onion rings and fried macaroni cheese balls. My son loved his Cookie Monster shake! We will be back!

Yelp
If you are looking for the picture to post on your social media head this way as you are about to get some great pictures as the ambiance of this place is beautiful. We arrived and didn't have reservations and was told the wait would be 5-10 but it was more like 30 minutes. No worries as we were ready to check this place out. Got seated and they have a QR code to pull up their menu. The offer lunch and happy hour specials so something to keep in mind. The staff was great however they appeared to have one waitress to our area and then she had a bunch of help from other staff members. One thing to note, they charge a 20% fee (17% to be split by the staff and 3% goes to the house) to all checks. So we ordered a few this and that and sadly it wasn't worth the hype. The mac & cheese balls lacked seasoning, the spinach & artichoke dip lacked seasoning, the fries got all the seasoning because they doused them in salt. The watermelon drink was okay, the cookie & creme drink was pretty to look at but was lacking taste. The coffee was bitter (like it was burnt) and all of the cookies were on the outside of the drink. I can check this off the been there done that list and tell you it's extremely overpriced and not worth all the hype.

Joel T.

Yelp
This felt like an edgy Chuck E. Cheese that gets cleaned once a week. It was so grimy and, I'll say it, trashy. It had nothing to do with the staff they were good at their service! They just looked like they had zero desire to be there. Half the lights on the wall were out and the entire place just felt cold and gross and cheap. Food was so overpriced too and it tasted very bottom of the barrel. Great, awkward memories created that night lol but nah not again.

Thalia P.

Yelp
I wouldn't say I liked it at all; the food wasn't good at all. I would have rather gone to MacDonald's, and I would have had a better experience. I took my nieces and nephews along with my daughter for a family outing since they had asked me many times. I wish I had gone since I had read many bad reviews, but here I was, trying to give this place a chance. The food was terrible, and the staff was slow (I felt somewhat bad for her because there were no two staff members). I've honestly had better food at fast-food restaurants. I was expecting savory food for the price range everything was. After all we paid a pretty penny for everything. The place also needed a lot of maintenance which sucks because I was trying to get grear pictures. The drink were pretty sugary as expected but overall okay .

Keke C.

Yelp
Let's just say TORIIIIIII made this experience 10/10 so attentive the best server by far! My burger was delicious! The grape crush drink was amazing! Ambiance so instagramable! Hot honey chicken and waffles were amazing! The lobster tails were goood! Over all great day with family!

Toni H.

Yelp
Toriana was great! She was fun, thoughtful & full of personality. The dancing was unexpected but certainly entertaining. I would go back for dessert - the rainbow sliders were ok; I liked the onion rings from the sampler platter. We were given strawberry ice cream for our birthday & it was delicious!

Reagen D.

Yelp
It's filthy dirty! The staff was friendly but terrible service, and they slap a mandatory 20% service fee on your bill! So they're not working! They're socializing in the back. Every time I asked my server for something (like a spoon for the soup I ordered that should've come out with my meal, or the $23 wine glass size drink I ordered that I had to ask for after our food came, but ordered drinks first) they would "disappear" to the BOH (back of house) for 5+ minutes...but I could see them chatting it up and having the time of their life! There was a buser talking on her phone while "cleaning" tables! Phone to ear, other hand "cleaning" tables! The food is like if Dave&Busters had a baby with ChuckECheese, and ChuckECheese was the dominant gene...why is my $30 sampler platter food court quality?? The $19 shake that my daughter ordered had the most nasty stale pretzels! We went to celebrate Valentines together, and we were so excited! Showed up to a hot dirty mess. That mandatory service fee has killed this place! The staff knowing they are making their tips regardless so why do their job?? This place could be so worth it!! Nope. It was a HUGE waste of my hard earned money, and my time. Sad.

Carolina E.

Yelp
Honestly I have heard SO much trash about this place I went in thinking "ugh going to this mega expensive spot" but I ended up having such an amazing time! We went for my goddaughters 19th birthday with a group of maybe 10 total. I had a club sandwich which honestly was pretty good and it was about $18. I only had half and gave the other half to my hubby. I also had a $46 dollar alcoholic goblet that had a few candies inside. Benihana has a stronger tastier drink for about $12 cheaper so that's my compliant with this drink. Of course all the kiddos with us were ooohing and ahhh-ing with the whole dry ice on the drink so I guess for the photos/experience it's not the worst (just not the best). Hal was our server and he was exceptional. He was attentive, quick, and took care of our party. He's also the reason I would ever go back to this spot. The only reason this place got 4 stars was Hal... the only reason I would never in a million years give it 5 is the ridiculous prices on anything that's not a sandwich or burger. I don't care if the celebrities themselves are bringing out drinks, it's crazy expensive and people really come here for the photo ops.

Simone C.

Yelp
What in the Holy He*l. I have never experienced such a horrible restaurant experience in all my life. Went for my daughters 14th Birthday. Food service horrendous, no silverware or cutlery, servers were dancing and not attending to the customers. Half our party ate after the other half finished. Drinks never showed up, the hostess eats and licks her fingers behind the hostess stand. Hoping you never have to use the bathroom on your visit. Stay out of there. I thought my daughter was going to be served a strip show dance but it ended up sort of ok. Cardi B's WAP explicit version filled our ears! Wish I had my $300 and 2 hrs of my life back.

Michael M.

Yelp
The food was very over cooked. We asked for medium but the burger came out well done. The service was great but they charge you a 20% surcharge with your orders that is kind of strange. The atmosphere was nice but could stand some cleaning .For what the cost is it should have blown me away. The dessert menu looked amazing, but after eating food that was not good I just passed on it.

Nick S.

Yelp
Overhyped. Only went here because of my kids but it's over priced for colorful food. Rainbow pancake seem like it was pre-made and microwave when you order it, the rainbow pancake was super dry, syrup can't save it. Rainbow sliders bun was super dry also. One of the hostess was chewing gum and playing with it with her finger. With have the mandatory 20% tip on the bill really make the staff lazy cause tables not clean off right away and snail slow service. Save your money.

christina j.

Yelp
Very loud music and I believe everyone comes for their birthday, as we did also. But it seems like the servers are singing the HB song every 5 minutes -LOL! The chicken and waffles were good, just next time I'll ask for the syrup on the side. Chicken was tiny but it had good flavor and crispy. My niece had cheese quesadillas and very cheesy and delicious. Our food came out quickly and our server Que was attentive and awesome, even though it was very busy! Ask for Que!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Shakes and deserts are fun and creative, but the food is plain and overpriced. Decor was probably once cute, but it needs refreshing and repainting. Lights on signs are out, flowers are missing from displays and there are black marks all over the white walls. The candy shop wasn't staffed and had little inventory. Staff seemed to go missing at times and the lights would go out (even in restroom) and the music kept getting changed. We went for my daughter's 11th birthday, and we were all disappointed. It's a great concept, but the restaurant has seen better days.

Portia W.

Yelp
I have always wanted to check out Sugar Factory. When I seen they had one in Dallas I was excited. I decided to take my daughters because they were excited as well. Well, this location looks fairly old inside. The place did not open until 3pm, we made reservations as the site suggested we do. We got there and it took the hostess forever to get to us. It seemed like he had to do other jobs in the restaurant than just host. He was nice so I won't give him crap. I noticed other families sitting and there were barely any servers attending to them. Everyone was just sitting and looking around. It did take about 20-25 minutes for us to receive our appetizers. We ordered the fried mac and cheese pops. They were good, but nothing special. We had the guacamole and chips. The guacamole is spicy and I enjoyed that more than I did my meal. I unfortunately did not take pictures of our food. But I got the sesame "grilled" chicken ginger salad. That was awful. The chicken was definitely not freshly grilled. It was the toughest chicken and dry chicken I've ever had. I did not even finish it. They also did not have enough chicken in there. It was cubed and cold. Barely any chicken in a pile of salad. My daughter had the carne asada quesadilla and those were good. I'd rather eat that than the food I had. My other daughter had the buffalo chicken sandwich and she said it was good. Her fries were nice and crisp and hot. Our drinks came in Togo plastic cups. We ordered one of the drinks to share. We got the strawberry lemonade smash. It was a good drink. $39 for non alcoholic. I did take a picture of that drink and I took a picture of how the restroom looked. The seat we were at had a tear in it. The bathroom was old and did not look like it was cleaned in awhile. The sink counters were broken. There was no soap in the soap dispensers. They had soap bottles that you get from the store and they were empty. It was a mess. I'd never go back to this location ever. Also, the server we had never came back to check on us. Did not even bring out our food. We had a whole different person running our food and the hostess brought my daughters to go containers and told the server to give us our check. I dont recommend this restaurant until they give it a remodel and hire either new people and more people.

Yelp
This was my second visit to this location. After i wrote my first review, i was reached out to by the customer service team who offered me a dining credit to come back and give them another shot. I agreed, and today, about 6 months later, i made the trip back. I actually just moved to Dallas and didn't know i would be when i was here last so it worked out nicely. I was very impressed tonight. The restaurant was packed and buzzing. The excitement was palpable. Everywhere i looked there were servers moving quickly to take care of their customers and birthday songs being sung. We did get to witness a birthday special with the music turned up at the servers dancing to it. That was pretty fun. It felt like we were in a club for a few minutes! So, last time i was here, i noted that it was pretty but the food wasn't any good. Tonight, everything we tried was great, all the way down to the fries and the mac and cheese balls. I really enjoyed the steak sandwich and my son really enjoyed his Buffalo chicken sandwich. Of course we had to get another one of the epic milkshakes- we did the s'mores one- non alcoholic, of course. The s'mores on top were yummy and the shake itself hit the spot. We were not able to finish it but our server, Sara, was nice enough to pack it in a to go cup for us. Anyone who has teenagers knows they can be difficult/difficult to please...and i am happy to report that my son had fun and enjoyed the food. He told me that he had fun. (High praise from him). He also added that this is a great place to celebrate special occasions (if you're an extrovert) and that it does seem geared to kids. I agree with him. I had a lot of fun tonight and the service was fantastic. Sara was super sweet and everything was smooth and tasty. We even had enough money left on our credit to swing by the candy shop and pick up some candy to go. Thank you for getting me back in and for a great second experience!

Yelp
Very expensive messy desserts that honestly would be more fun made at home. Kids enjoyed the sweet treats. Seating is a major issue for walking. Windows opened in bar area so flys were coming in and out. The bar area should have bar top table seating rather than dingy "white" couches. Celebrity tie in not necessary. Just rely on great food images and presentation. Waitress was friendly and kind. The gelato sales person was rude and refused to allow us to pay with cash and instead just said forget it and take it for free to avoid using his cash drawer even though we wanted to pay with exact cash for the gelato. Valet should be complimentary not a charge. Overall a disappointment. I will not go back unless dragged by another social media inspired child's request.

Yelp
Not bad for a celebrity restaurant. Service was good . Everything is costly but good. I wanted the Monte Cristo but it's only for brunch. Ambiance was pretty mellow.

Yelp
It's not worth the hype. The food is mediocre and honestly tastes like dinner food. Overpriced, you're paying for the atmosphere and extra candy you get. The mandatory 20% service fee our server lied to us about, saying I don't know what that is, just to get more money. When service and staff were so not friendly. First time here, and We definitely will not be back.

Yelp
If you're going for the aesthetics DONT! Every single drink we ordered looked so ghetto the bathrooms were falling apart and the employees looked as if they hated their life's! I should've listen to the reviews ...this place is straight G H E T T O! We were a party of 12 and a $1200 later definitely didn't translate into the mediocre service, overcooked food and disgusting bathrooms. We were so embarrassed for our guest because we chose this place to celebrate a birthday ...:i honestly give it 6 months before they hit bankruptcy....ridiculous, stay away!

Yelp
This place it a total vibe. We went Saturday night and I can't wait to go back. The music was good and the staff was energetic. It's really cute on the inside, all good for the aesthetic. We just ordered dessert and it was gooood. My Oreo Madness milkshake was so cute, and the actually shake itself was good. The strawberry cheesecake sundae had delicious ice cream and cheesecake bites all over. The simple vanilla milkshake was cute too, even though they didn't give us the rainbow whirl pop like the menu says. Our server was a little MIA at times but he was nice when he was around. I would definitely have a dinner or something here.

Yelp
Service was very good. Food was good. Drinks were very pricey. Desserts were the best. It's definitely a place to go for a birthday celebration.

Yelp
Fun experience! Huge portions. Very expensive for what it is though. I had a $50 gift card, even using that is was $100 for myself and 2 kids. Just plan on spending at least 20-25 bucks on everything you get. We had great service though.

Yelp
I'd heard about this location in other parts of the states and in other states in general. I saw a picture of one of their burgers on social media and decided I would check it out. Apparently other people were aware of the hype because reservations were difficult to get. I ended up setting mines more than 2 weeks out. Once I got there I realized the traffic was insane, there were lines of families trying to get in. Despite having a reservation I ended up waiting for roughly 15 minutes in front of the candy store section. After we got seated, we were able to pick from the menu. They have tons of drinks for people that indulge in alcohol. I don't, so I focused more on the burgers and ended up getting the Blue Cheese burger and a Snickers shake for good measure. The bread was very brittle and kept breaking and made a mess, the taste was good but the messy part is a no for me. The shake was a typical milkshake but it was interesting eating the snickers off of the cup. While waiting a couple of children celebrated their birthdays and were greeted with all of the host dancing and performing holding signs along with the $100 sundae that's offered here. The crowd was a mixture of kids celebrating. Adults drinking and getting sweet mixtures of food, somehow it all kinda works. It's a place you go if you're not sure about bringing the kids but still want to have an adult date. Basically like Chuck E Cheese minus the robots and arcade games. The candy store was standard what you would see in a mall shop with different selections of candy. Overall, I think the hype train mislead me, it wasn't a bad experience but I'm not dying to rush back anytime soon. If you want the experience definitely check them out though.

Yelp
We always have a great experience at Sugar Factory! We arrived upon their opening at 1pm and there were several customers waiting. Turns out, there was only one person in the front seating people and taking orders. Toriana was seriously amazing! Despite being literally the only front employee with about 30 customers in the restaurant, she was friendly and patient. I have never seen a food service employee go above and beyond while being the only person working. The food was really delicious too! My daughter and I shared the Mac and cheese pops, tomato bisque and chicken penne Alfredo. Despite having to wait longer due to the restaurant being short staffed, the food was hot and tasty. Toriana really was such a wonderful person to encounter. She exemplifies patience, courtesy and top notch service. We look forward to seeing her again on our next visit to Sugar Factory!

Yelp
I really didn't like the food here. My server wasn't the best. I ordered the steak and frites that was supposed to come with fries. My server said it doesn't come with fries and end up putting in the wrong order instead of apologizing , he kept blaming the kitchen. I ended up getting the Cajun pasta and it was okay. No vegetables or shrimp in the "cajun " pasta. The Smokey dry iced drinks are an illusion. There is too much ice in it and not enough liquid. Also the bar was out of everything. Didn't even have tequila for shots. I just didn't enjoy this first time experience never again.

Yelp
The fool was OK. The service was not OK. We waited a long time for food that came out burnt. The waiter was not attentive. We really could've gone anywhere else for better quality food and service. The ambience was very cute though. Very cute ambience great for pictures that's all they have.

Yelp
The Bar is slow and I flew in from LosAngeles to hang out for my birthday with friends. The drinks I wanted they didn't have. The Manager on duty Kamari and Darius were amazing!! The chicken is FIRE!!! It's a lot of children here at 9pm also. Overall I would come again because the Staff was GREAT!

Yelp
Personally I feel like some restaurants are better in other locations (cities , states and maybe even countries). I've been to the sugar factory in the following cities ; San Diego, Los Angeles, Miami, and Vegas. With each visit being worth the visits and matching the Social media hype! However, i can not say the same about the location here in Dallas.. We came on a Thursday night, and for them to be fairly empty service was really lacking. Food was coming out slow and separately, and incorrectly. You can tell that they were short staffed which is why we tried to remain patient. Not sure if the lady standing at the front was the manger or just the greeter , but she had the worse stank face ever ! Every time my daughters looked her way they laughed and made comments on how much they could tell she hates her job. She end up being really friendly at the end . Myself and my sister were celebrating our birthdays with our children. Food was decent , BUT definitely NOT worth what we paid ! I spent $300 on me and my two teen daughters for food of the quality of going to Chili's or TGIF. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed our meals , just personally feel like it was overpriced extremely!!! I did get a sugar candy bowl drink with added alcohol, resulting in almost a $50 price. Being that I've been to other sugar factory's in other states / cities, I most definitely had a lot to compare and contrast too. The Dallas location is a waste of time , space , funding , etc if you compare it to other locations. It definitely gives off low budget/ghetto !! Would I return here ? Not intentionally!! Should it be for an event someone is hosting then sure but by choice ? Absolutely NOT!!

Yelp
Okay but how fun are these drinks? I would recommend going here to try the drinks out! They have a fun and large variety of so many different (VERY SWEET) alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. It was a fun spot during the day for family and friends and think every one should try it at least once. The couches were a little dirty (could be replaced), but honestly with those drinks it's understandable.

Yelp
Torriana, Tasha and Trey did an amazing job with the celebration of my daughter's birthday. Very great customer service. She was so professional, constantly checking in on us. Food and Drinks were fresh and cooked to order. Thank you so much again!

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Please do not waste your time and money at this restaurant. The food was disgusting and the restaurant was dirty. There was pee and vomit on the floor in the restaurant. We were celebrating our daughter's 19th Birthday and I was embarrassed. I would call it the Nasty Factory instead of sugar factor. I was completely grossed out by this experience.

Yelp
I don't leave reviews often, but here we are. The food was meh, the service was meh, the atmosphere wasn't as advertised, our seats were filtthy with catchup, and the overall place is dirty. Our kids were expecting a duck with what they ordered and were not told they were out of them when asked where it was they were told they could have a lollipop instead or we could buy a duck cup for $25. On top of it, the 20% automatic service charge was met with an explanation that it was for the bus staff because they are not properly paid and that we should tip the wait staff. What a waste of time and money.

Yelp
Always a great time. Season make the best suggestions. The atmosphere is lovely. Had brunch will ll come back to try dinner.

Yelp
It did not live up to all the hype. Reservations are just an estimate. We waited 40 minutes after our scheduled time. David was a great server. Everything was way overpriced. $46 for a drink with some gummies in it is not realistic. $10 for a basket of fries. The desserts were cool looking but again, not worth the price. The portions were small. $33 for a small piece of salmon and 6 pieces of asparagus. They tout instagrammable walls but some had letters where the lights were out. The couches in the lounging area were all stained. They need to invest in a steam cleaner. The floors were dirty and slippery. Food that was dropped on the floor was just left there. People stepping on it. The bathrooms were dirty. TIP: DO VALET. It is $10 and well worth it. Otherwise you will be driving around trying to find a spot. Maybe other locations are better. This one really missed the mark.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money coming. We saw the reviews and still decided to give it a try because we've always wanted to go to a Sugar Factory. Let's start from the beginning. Parking is a nightmare, the garage did say you could get the ticket validated, but of course our server said they don't participate in that. So parking was $25. We walk in and the place is empty. Only 1 table of a father and his 2 kids eating. But no workers in site. No host, we stand for a few mins waiting and see so workers just talking around a table that a party just left. So we kill some time looking around the shop and to see if there was a worker in there. Not a single person in the gift shop. Walked around took videos. Still no workers. Went to the bar and lounger side, bartender looks up at us and ignores us and continues to clean. Again not a single customer on the bar side. Went back to host booth. Still no workers so I tell my daughter let's use the restroom and walk around to see the place. As we start to walk into the main dining area a worker runs out to us and asked if we had a reservation? We said no. She said they only take reservations..... we looked around at the EMPTY restaurant and she said, well since we're slow and it just 2 of you, I'll take you this time but know in the future you need a reservation. This kinda made me laugh because no where online did it say you needed a reservation and this place only had one other table. After feeling like they did not want us there, we ordered only 3 items and only got 2. Rainbow burgers, a side of ketchup and a milkshake. Another girl dropped of the burgers and didn't say a word..... we didn't get checked on NOT ONCE. We waited for any workers to come by, they were all in the back.... So we are the burgers. The milkshake came out and it wasn't even edible. The fried Oreos were like plastic toy food! You couldn't even take a bite of it. The cupcakes were so dry with no icing. They were like the cheapest frozen cupcakes that were just defrosted in the fridge. The icing and Oreos on the outside of the mug were old and hard. Like the pre make the cups and stick them in the freezer for days. So food was nasty. Now let's get to the ambiance, Thai place is DIRTY. I'm taking both kinda of flies. Big ones you see at an outside picnic and gnats from a soggy kitchen sink we're flying around. The restroom were horrible! There was stains of I don't know what on alllll the walls! Chipped discolored paint on every wall and door. Paper towels over flowing the trash can all over the place. So gross. And the restaurant itself is run down crusty. All the walls need a fresh coat of paint, the floors need to be cleaned. The chairs need upholstery cleaning. I can't even explain how sad it is to see a "expensive nice restaurant" be so raggedy. Our bill was $60. And the reason they don't have any type of good service is because no matter what size the party is, every bill comes with an automatic 20% tip. I don't know how this place is even still in business.

Yelp
Review Finally made it to this popular joint and, I wasn't impressed. Although, there is a fun vibe and cute photo opts, it just didn't do it for me. The customer service was good, the food is very average and not worthy of the prices. The only thing that makes this place upscale is the location and cute decor. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give this joint a TWO!

Yelp
Nothing to post, they sucked enough that two days after we went, they closed for good. Smh.

Yelp
The ambiance is beautiful. The food presentation is beautiful. The staff is friendly, but the food is not seasoned, there was one waitress for 10 tables and all the drinks/desserts are overpriced. I can say I've been here but don't need to come back.
