Very nice and cool interior. Both indoor and outdoor seating. I got a toasted marshmallow iced latte and it was pretty good. Also got the kolache which comes in a croissant bread and it was pretty good, just wish it had a bit more flavor. Cheesecake donut was delicious as well if you're looking for something sweet. Staff was friendly. Its a bit small but I had so issue with seating when I went. Definitely a cool place worth checking out.

Nice place with good cookie and dessert options. Would return to try happy hour. Nice decor and good location. On the busy part of West Gray coming from downtown. Plenty of paid street parking or garage parking available. Access to the courtyard from here, of you wanna enjoy your desserts outside in private without a lot of foot traffic.

Mixed berry lemon doughnut and praline topped donut were SO good!!! Iced vanilla Americano so so good. Has a little nutty aftertaste that was pleasant. Desserts are actual gourmet, you can taste the quality of the ingredients.

Very nice cafe. It’s small inside but there are enough tables for a work session. The WiFi isn’t unlocked. There is parking but you pay the meter or the parking garage. I tried the chocolate turtle donut. I was delicious but messy once warmed. The vanilla glaze is excellent as well as the strawberry. I will return for the happy hour! There is frosé on the menu.

Sugar Frk was a delightful surprise, offering delicious pastries and creatively crafted specialty lattes. You must try the Banana Pudding Cookie and the Chocolate Turtle Latte. This is a cute dessert shop. From the outside you may miss it but on the inside you will feel comfortable and glad you stepped in. They have vegan options which is amazing. It is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth! The worker was friendly and was kind enough to offer suggestions! The only thing I can say that bad is it would have been nice to have another worker to assist. I visited on a Sunday and there was a wait because there was only one worker.

Came in on a Saturday around 10:30 and some flavors were already sold out. But that's a good thing! It means the donuts are that good! After a long decision, I chose the s'mores and the maple pecan donuts. I preferred the s'mores but both were good. I really liked the house made marshmallow filling and the chocolate ganache topping. The brownies look MARVELOUS. I wished I had gotten one. They also offered cookies and various drinks, including coffee and alcoholic beverages!! Cute new shop where the staff is super friendly!! Be sure to check it out.

I stopped by tonight (Mar. 16). The time on here, recently updated, says they close at midnight. It's 9:15 PM and they're closed. Waste of my time and gas money for stopping by. Update the hours.

I came here this past weekend for a birthday treat. The inside is decorated very cute, and is very clean! The Customer Service is great, and the desserts are delicious. I had the Keylime cookie and it was mouthwatering. I will definitely be coming back again in the future!

I tried a couple of items from Sugar FRK and generally liked them, but the service/vibe of the bakery was kind of weird. Let's start with the food: I tried a s'mores cookie and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie. The chocolate chocolate chip cookie was fine--nothing too special. But the s'mores cookie was delicious--even without the marshmallow and spiced wafer cookie on top, the chocolate chip cookie base was very good! But the service wasn't great--I was getting cookies for a friend with a nut allergy, and the person taking my order had no idea if the items contained nuts and didn't make any effort to find out. And the vibe of the bakery was odd--it was around noon, but the place was fairly dark, with only the display case lit up, which was really weird. And the cool display kitchen where you used to be able to watch the Fluff Bake Bar people at work was totally empty--where do they make these pastries then?!

I WANTED to like this place. After following their account on IG I thought it would be a perfect spot for a coffee meetup. We came in on a weekday at 11 am and it was empty. We quickly learned that the menu on the web, which is what drove our final decision to visit them wasn't available. So our best choice for food was donuts or cookies which I didn't and can't indulge in because of dietary restrictions. I ordered the London Fog and my companion wanted the green tea. There was confusion about how to ring up the green tea even though it was on the menu. Then after we paid I was told they were out of Earl Grey tea so did I want to substitute it with another tea-I chose breakfast. I suppose their advertising including inside focused in their coffee, donuts and daiquiris but the teas were also on the menu so I was disappointed by our experience. On the bright side there was very little foot traffic so we were able to sit and chat for a while without it being too noisy or being interrupted so it may be a good meetup spot if you want to have a private conversation.

Signage at Sugar Frk is so small I had to circle the block 4 times to find it. Tried to call for directions - couldn't find the phone # anywhere online, not even on their Contact Us on their own site. Found a phone # on Yelp but it didn't work. When I arrived this morning, not only was my order NOT ready but of the 8 flavors I selected there were only 4 flavors available. The young lady at the counter was nice but took forever to box my order. I placed my order online YESTERDAY at 1:59 pm - it should've been ready! Donuts came directly from the refrigerator. Suspect they were YESTERDAY'S donuts. $77.94 for 24 cold, tasted like day-old donuts. I pick breakfast for the office at least monthly...........I do not think I will be back.

A new dessert shop in the midtown area!! So far I've only been once but we got a good selection to try during our first visit. My husband enjoyed his donut and I ordered a s'more donut to try. While ok I think the s'mores donut was a bit dry and lacking on flavor so I would get a different kind of donut the next time I visit. Service was quick and there is a seating area outside you can get to if you exit from the back. I look forward to trying sugar FRK again and trying more of their desserts and drinks.

This place is SO cute. Glad I found it. They have a great selection of sweets and drinks - from lattes to daiquiris. Free Wi-Fi so you can even spend a work day here. Decor is lovely and staff was friendly. I will be back!

Stop making donuts. It's not your thing. Hubbs stopped by and picked up a chocolate mousse filled donut for me otw home and it's terrible. Dry and flavorless.

Man it's very rare that I give rave reviews on any establishment but let me tell you I have to brag on Sugar Freak. Two days in a row now I've been blessed to be extremely pleased with back to back restaurants. I was greeted by Kat who was very professional and welcoming. This establishment had a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Kat made my wife and I very comfortable and was an excellent conversationalist. She literally made us want to hang out all day and never leave. Her recommendations were all on point from the drink to the cookies and doughnuts. The drink and desserts had my taste buds singing. Definitely lifetime customer and can't wait to get back. If you haven't been to Sugar Freak get down there ASAP and show them some love; you'll be glad you did.

I feel like I went to a different place than some other reviewers, maybe it was just an off day, but I haven't had an experience this 'not good' (as Yelp calls it) in a long while. We came on a Friday lunchtime (paid to park because Midtown) and it almost seemed like they were trying to be closed because it the lights were not on, air wasn't on, weren't welcomed, nada. Only reason we knew it was open was because another couple was inside eating. I tried to order 2 different drinks from their menu: London Fog - was told they were out of Earl Grey (same as another Yelper that tried to order this same drink days ago and were told they were out) and their Cold Brew (also out). Finally just gave up and asked for a Flat White. They did not have any cookies available and the donuts they did have were very old and stale, just like something you would get at the grocery store. I ordered the Double Strawberry and its icing was completely melted away and the only indication that it was what I ordered was the dollop of pink in the center of the donut. The drink plus donut came out to $11+ - add to that the parking fee (which again, I realize is not their cost but it still comes with the territory so you really want to have a good experience when you pay to park) and I feel like it was a total waste of money. Could be an indicator to the contrary that the cookies weren't there; maybe they were already sold out for the day, but based on the vibe this place was putting off I doubt it.

I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but was completely underwhelmed. The location was quite difficult to locate - they could use better signage. The decor was nice; there was adequate indoor and outdoor seating at the time of my visit. I tried the key lime cookie, it was meh. I do not intend on returning.

I ordered a banana pudding donut absolutely delicious, the young lady recommended this flavor and her service and kindness was amazing. She also made me a coffee with milk and that was also delicious . Thank you young lady for starting my year off right. I forgot to take a picture but they have picture online; they are well made and you can taste the authentic ingredients.

Hands down the best donut I've EVER had!!!! My kiddo and I came after church to grab a quick snack. He LOVED their cinnamon ice cream and I absolutely devoured the strawberry donut. I mean it was perfection!

FORGET the big brand cookie shops like Crumbl. SUGAR FRK has the best cookies in the entire city!!! They are a bit on the costly side but I think they are worth it. I see them being bakes fresh each morning and the Banana Pudding cookie is to die for. I will forever be a SUGAR FRK!

Love, Love, Love, Love Sugar Frk. Great customer service! Everything in this establishment is extremely good. After lunch, my mother and I went over and had the maple glaze and lemon meringue donuts. (Amazing!) The doughnuts are not overly sugary, and the ingredients are all fresh. For me, Houston has two locations where you can get extremely amazing/unique donuts, and this is one of them. I also visit here every morning before work and get a latté or an espresso or a Frappuccino. They're all delicious and help me start my day. One more thing: I adore the vibe and décor. I feel as though I can visit in the morning for coffee and meals, but also hang out on a Friday night and enjoy a dessert and or frozen beverage. So many options! Love it.

Came in for dessert and ordered a mix and match plate. Brown butter chocolate chip cookie and stuffed s'mores cookie were divine. We will definitely be back!

Went at 3:30, everything says open till midnight. They were not opened. It would be hard to believe they've sold out of everything by 3:30 on a Friday afternoon that they would close 8.5 hours early. (Not sure the reason, just a guess??) there was an employee inside cleaning up who just shook her head when I mouthed "are you open". I can see why others have left negative reviews.

So the first thing was it was hard to find. There was no sign on the outside and had to circle the block a few times. Eventually had to get out and my husband drove around and I walked up to it. Now the actual cookies- I went late, it was after a rockets game, but I got the s'mores, banana pudding and brown butter chocolate chip. The bb choc chip were very hard and dry and I bought three and only ate one. The others were good but for the price I can get better cookies in pasadena for a lot better price. The server was nice, but will not be going back.

cookies were amazing, banana pudding was our fav! the worker was so nice and even made a kid friends drink for the kids that weren't on the menu. super clean inside and cute decor!

I have written only handful of reviews. But I had to write this - they're donuts and cookies are amazing. As is their coffee. Everyone should go - best gourmet donut around, better than other donut and coffee places in the neighborhood! It's nice in the actual shop too, and they have outdoor and indoor seating. Sometimes I wonder if I can go in there and have a donut or cookie and work, but I don't know if I can control myself. The shop is quiet but mostly because everyone takes their dessert to go. Don't let it dissuade you from trying it out!

I went here with my girlfriend right when I saw the post that was created by "Ericeatshtx". I have to say, She and I absolutely enjoyed this place's bakery and coffee. We love to try out new coffee spots all the time so that is originally what we went there for but let me tell you. The donuts here were the star of the show! The only gripe I probably have is that I wish they were a little fresh or maybe heated up a bit to really take it to the next level. Lastly, the only other thing that seemed to bring down the experience was the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the design of the place but at the same time, it seemed very bland and quiet. Def go check this place out if you like some donuts, cookies, or maybe even stop by to grab a coffee!

Decided to pop in after the show at Jones Hall. It was around 10pm. Only 2 cookies left to choose from and about 5 donuts. Cookie was ok and I also ordered a Latte. It was ok. Had high hopes for this place but the selection was so small it was a let down. The man working was nice. It was so hot in the place we ended up eating the cookie in our car.

Been wishing for some good bakeries to open in the area. I visited for the first time last weekend and tried the strawberry donut and the brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Hands-down the best donut I've ever had-- especially if you like strawberry; it was even topped with a homemade strawberry buttercream. The cookie was pretty amazing too, and the staff was friendly as well. I recommend giving them a try!
