I bought a Groupon to get my hair cut by Ashly. Initially, it was kind of a mess. I called her and left her a message. She texted back to make an appt. I showed up at the appointed time, but Ashly was not there. I was told by another woman that she had just stepped out and would be back shortly. 15 minutes later, the lady returned to tell me she doesn't know where Ashly is, but is sure she'll be back soon. I texted Ashly with no response. After having waited for 35 minutes, I finally gave up and left. A few minutes later, Ashly texts to inform me that she was actually at a memorial and her friend had passed the day I made the appt so she forgot to put it on her calendar. Ok, understandable.
We make another appt via phone. The day before my appt, I thought about texting her to confirm, but didn't want to seem petty. The day of the appt, I was stuck in traffic and I texted her to inform her I'd be a little late. She called immediately to tell me that she wasn't working that week because her son was on break from school. So I turned back around and headed home.
You'd think after two misses, I'd just return my Groupon, but Ashly had great reviews so I really wanted to check her out. I made another appt, confirmed it with her the day before, and actually got my hair cut! She even offered me a free cut to make up for the two missed appointments.
Even after all that, I thought Ashly did a great job cutting my hair. She added more layers to frame my face more and I thought it looked nice.
