I've been going to Ariel for a few years now and don't want to go to anyone else! She is professional, friendly, and efficient. I'm sure the other staff are just as wonderful, but Ariel is the only person I have seen. The new location is great. It's a little hard to find the first time, but the space is lovely, comfortable, and inviting with ample free parking.

Jen did my first ever sugar wax and I will say I am never going back to regular wax!!!! If you’re looking for that push to get away from shaving and or other hair removal options this is the one!!!! She was insanely thorough and just made the experience what I hoped!

Finally decided to take the plunge and get my first Brazilian sugar wax and was so nervous that I almost cancelled the morning of my appointment. I’m glad I didn’t because Addy was the greatest. She made everything super comfortable from the beginning down to the end. She was super friendly and held a good conversation and made me feel at ease. She was very knowledgeable and allowed me to go at my pace and at the end I realized that it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Place is super cute and clean and I already booked my next appointment.

OMG the vibe in this place is spot on, you feel relaxed from the moment you walk in. Shannon has been my go to person and she is great. I recently switched from hot wax to sugar. Sugaring is more efficient, hurts less and hair doesn't grow back as fast. I love this place!!!

Addy is professional and friendly. The studio is bright and clean. I came on a Sunday, so parking was plentiful but I don't know how it would be during the week. The pricing seems to be reasonable.

I am a repeat happy customer. It's always so clean, comfortable, and welcoming inside. Jessi took care of me today and I had a great experience! She asked me questions to get to know me and my skin. She knows her stuff- she guessed my facial cleanser just by me telling her the bottle was blue and white! She used an oil on me afterward that calmed down all the soreness/redness instantly- it was like magic!! I'll definitely come back for a facial when my mom comes to visit me! I like that the products are all natural and holistic. Thank you!

I had never been sugared before but now I'm never going back to waxing!! Kasey is a super awesome human being and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The place is clean, welcoming, and stylish. It was an overall amazing experience!! I also bought a dry brush for exfoliation and so far it works great. An awesome deal that Kasey offers is $48 Brazilian instead of $60 when you come in before 4 weeks. What a steal!! Highly recommend to anyone, 10/10 in all aspects. I've been coming to Kasey for sugaring ever since my first review and I have had consistent, positive experiences. Last time I got sugared Kasey referred me to Natalie for a hair cut and color and I am in love with my new hair!! Natalie is easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and professional! I enjoyed my experience with her and my hair looks fabulous. I had previously DIY box-dyed my hair from blonde to a dark brown, which washed out within a month or so, and she brought me back to the dark that I really wanted. I also did a split-end treatment that left my hair looking silky smooth. My previous stylist had also cut my hair a little funky, but Natalie fixed the choppiness and now it looks perfect. Her pricing is absolutely reasonable and she really knows best. I'm a forever fan of Sugar Junkie!! Great people and great service :)

I just started coming to sugar Junkie. I will definitely keep coming. It's way better than normal waxing. Also, Ariel is the absolute best and makes you feel so comfortable.

I wanted to really love this place, and I thought it would be my new go to. The service is wonderful and the owner is so nice and accommodating! The waxing service was painless and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The only problem I had and the only reason I will not be coming back is that I ended up with a horrible painful rash/breakout on my neck afterwards. It's been about 2 weeks and it's still there. I'm not sure if it was the sugaring itself or the product she applied afterwards but I've been struggling to deal with it ever since.

This was my first time getting sugaring done, Shannon was really communicative and let me know what to expect. I left relieved because the whole thing was much easier than I had anticipated. Definitely will be booking again

I had my hair and makeup done by Natalie & loved it! She did my sister and my moms makeup for my bothers wedding & we got compliments all night. My makeup lasted the whole night of heavy dancing....and even into the next morning to help hide my hungover self at the brunch lol.

I'm one of those people who live by reviews so I want to contribute to this business's ratings plus rave about what an awesome job and how great of a stylist Makaylah is! I wanted a cut, putting a priority on my dead/split-end parts of my hair. I expected to go home with dramatically shorter hair and I prepared myself for that because it was that bad. Knowing my concerns, Makaylah immediately knew how much to cut and she explained why, because it is at that point where my hair starts to feel straw-y (the dead/split-end parts). Along with that she also recommended a protein mask ($15) (done during the shampoo part) to add onto my haircut service ($45) as my hair needs protein to help it recover from the dyeing of my hair and all the other heat damage my hair has. She finished off with cutting the split ends that were sticking out along my hair. After the whole thing, my hair was SOFT (and fixed) and she did my front layers perfectly! She was so attentive and literally explained how I get split ends what I can do to prevent them and what products to use and why, especially if I dye my hair--she really knows her stuff. She's like a doctor but for hair. Best haircut ever! Oh! I'm not sure if this is correct but I think each stylist sets their own price so if you want to get a quote, make sure you keep that in mind!

I went to this place for the first time today. It was my first time having sugaring done, as I usually wax. I got my underarms and Brazilian done. I must say, it was a very enjoyable experience. Ariel was so gentle with me and made sure I was okay during the entire process. I will be back!

I had my back sugar waxed by one of the Sugarist/Estheticans there name Jeannie. I'd had my back waxed before and decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I feel it's very female driven, which is great, but first off, the service I received was priced at $65 on the website and I was charged $75. Another thing, when I've had this done before, my full shoulders were waxed as well, making it look natural. The job looked incomplete. Beyond that, Jeannie made me feel uncomfortable, a difficult feet, as she chose to continually chat about very judgmental topics throughout the process rather than keeping things lighthearted or just relaxing with music. If this establishment receives other male clients, I would suggest a better esthetican that knows how to work well with men and an update on your website if pricing has changed.

I bought a Groupon to get my hair cut by Ashly. Initially, it was kind of a mess. I called her and left her a message. She texted back to make an appt. I showed up at the appointed time, but Ashly was not there. I was told by another woman that she had just stepped out and would be back shortly. 15 minutes later, the lady returned to tell me she doesn't know where Ashly is, but is sure she'll be back soon. I texted Ashly with no response. After having waited for 35 minutes, I finally gave up and left. A few minutes later, Ashly texts to inform me that she was actually at a memorial and her friend had passed the day I made the appt so she forgot to put it on her calendar. Ok, understandable. We make another appt via phone. The day before my appt, I thought about texting her to confirm, but didn't want to seem petty. The day of the appt, I was stuck in traffic and I texted her to inform her I'd be a little late. She called immediately to tell me that she wasn't working that week because her son was on break from school. So I turned back around and headed home. You'd think after two misses, I'd just return my Groupon, but Ashly had great reviews so I really wanted to check her out. I made another appt, confirmed it with her the day before, and actually got my hair cut! She even offered me a free cut to make up for the two missed appointments. Even after all that, I thought Ashly did a great job cutting my hair. She added more layers to frame my face more and I thought it looked nice.

Updating as I've tried their new airbrush spray tanning service. Once again, Kasey knocked it out of the park. She custom mixed a color for me that was completely gorgeous for my skintone (I have yellow undertones so it's tough to get nice color). No orange for me! The application was perfect and even. It was a great shade and lasted SO much longer than any other airbrush I've gotten. It was a week and a half ago and it only started fading a few days ago - everyone thinks I'm so tan from a few days in Cabo ;) Kasey is super professional and easy-going. She is great to work with and makes you so relaxed. Thanks Kasey & everyone at Sugar Junkie!

Wow time flies! This review for Kasey is yearsss overdue. Well, to catch y'all up, I'm still making my monthly sugar appointments with Kasey and still absolutely love it. Best money I spend every month for sure! Kasey is the sweetest; she's super knowledgeable, a great conversationalist and wonderful at her job. I'm not a n00b when it comes to waxing. I've had both okay ones and awful ones. I highly recommend the sugar method over the *gasp* wax method. The difference is game-changing, and you'll never go back to wax. This shop is top notch. Recommend it a thousand percent!

I discovered Sugar Junkie when my initial brow place cancelled on me last minute. Thankfully for me, there was one appointment left that I snagged here. The salon is SO cute and very clean. I had never done any "sugaring" before but I don't think I'm ever going back! Way less painful, my skin is less angry, and Ariel was a beautiful ray of sunshine. She gave my brows a celeb make over and I'm in love! Definitely going to be a regular.

Such a great experience. A friend recommended Jeannie to me and she got me in right away. Booking was simple. The room was clean and cute and relaxing. Jeannie was easy to talk to, which made the session seem to fly by. She checked in with me on comfort throughout the process and made some small adjustments to make sure all was well! I'd never had an experience with sugaring before. It takes a bit longer than waxing, but overall the process was more comfortable and less irritating. Everything is super smooth-- Jeannie was very thorough and meticulous, which I appreciated. The cost was reasonable and payment was easy. I'm already booked for our next session. Natalie transformed me from looking like I had an electrocuted calico cat on my head to the most beautiful head of perfectly colored silky soft hair I've ever seen! She had to fix years of botched box dye and did so beautifully and also gave me my first keratin treatment, which 6 weeks later is still a dream!!

Yesterday was my first time "Sugar-ing"/getting "Sugar-ed" (I'm still learning) & I can honestly say it was pretty awesome! I had a full Brizilian done by Kasey, who was nothing short of amazing!! She talked me through the whole thing before we did anything, and she kept me in the loop every step of the way. She was extremely knowledge, unbelievably professional & very experienced. She made me feel calm & comfortable. I will definitely be returning! I would absolutely recommend this place!!!

Stumbled upon this salon through a recommendation that then led me to Natalie for my hair/makeup trial for my wedding. She is amazing! I then had her cut and color my hair before my wedding and it came out gorgeous. Two days before my wedding, I got a black eye (long story), and Natalie made it invisible on my wedding day. She did an awesome job and I would recommend her in a heartbeat if you want someone really cool, professional, and great at her job to take care of your hair/makeup on your wedding day.

So I got my FIRST Brazilian done just the other day based off a recommendation from my best friend. I had been shaving my entire life and was nervous to be sugared for the first time and it being a Brazilian. LET ME TELL YOU I WILL NEVER SHAVE AGAIN. I feel like I can be Kaseys spokesman because I can't stop talking about my experience lol! Kasey made me feel sooooo comfortable. The difference though, is truly amazing. How I didn't take my friends recommendation sooner when she told me I don't understand. But I'm glad I have now! Great/clean salon, great service. Can't wait for my next appointment.

Purchased a Groupon for a a haircut wth Ashley and made an appointment. Unfortunately missed my appointment and Ashley never again responded to my attempts to set up an appointment or at least to see if she would accept my voucher or not so I could look for someone else. Not making an excuse for myself for missing the appointment but I had recently returned from serving abroad for two years and was still jet lagged and adjusting to the time difference causing me to miss the appointment. This was suppose to be my first haircut at home in two years and was left so disappointed at the lack of professionalism. A simple "I am no longer able to accept your voucher" would have been understandable. I understand the frustration of not having a client show up, and I take accountability for my mistake, but not fair to be petty about it and ignore potential client.

I have been nervous to get my hair trimmed for years, I finally ripped off the bandaid and decided to do it... Makaylah trimmed my hair and really listened to my concerns! She only trimmed my dead ends and didn't over do it. So excited to continue going to get to trim my hair regularly! Highly recommend Makaylah!

I am so happy to have made the switch to sugaring vs waxing. I am highly sensitive and a hairy beast and Kasey did an absolute perfect job! Her personality is so chill and the salon is modern chic and cozy.

I had never had a regular hair stylist until a relative referred me to Natalie a few years ago. She has been my one and only ever since. Natalie is experienced and knowledgeable, which is evident right when you sit in her chair. I trust her completely whether we're going from blonde to brunette or from (very) long hair to a long bob. She always takes the time to listen to what I'm interested in and then explains the best options from there. She's also just a genuinely kind person who is fun and comfortable to be around.

First time visit to Sugar Junkie - Natalie did my hair the other day and she was so sweet and personable. Love my color and cut, she is definitely someone I will visit again.

Ive been meanng to write a review for Natalie. She works @ Sugar Junky lounge in Ventura. Make sure you get your appt with Natalie. She is creative She can cut what you describe, she shows you how to blow dry yiur hair so you dont get that unwanted stubborn ....part. She leads you to the right hair product for your hair texture. Her choice of hair colors make my eyes pop. ( BTW I was a blond in 2013 now I'm a brunette with other carmel colors woven in she selects each visit and I've continued being a brunette) !

I got my hair done by Natalie. She is the best. Expert hair color and always a cut that lasts. You will not regret.

My mom, sister, and I all had our hair and makeup done by Natalie for my brothers wedding...loved it so much! I got a brazilian after not getting sugared for a year. Kasey went very slow and gentle as my hair was very long making it a lot less painful..I appreciated that she took her time to get out all the hairs and explained every step to me. Natalie did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I absolutely loved her work! I felt beautiful on my wedding day. The makeup looked fresh lasted all day/night and photographed beautifully! My hair is super frizzy, coarse and I have tons and tons of hair I was so amazed at how well it stayed the entire night dancing and moving around a lot. I highly recommend her, not only does she do great work but she's also very nice and fun! I'm already looking forward to a keratin treatment with her. Thanks Natalie you da best!

I was in Ventura visiting friends for the weekend and my hostess had an appointment at Sugar Junkie. I went along for the ride and was sugared for the very first time. But definitely not the last. Such a nice place! The decor is so beautiful that I would like to move in. The two ladies who run it made the whole experience very fun.

Wow!! Where do I start? I saw Makaylah here at Sugar Junkie and can I just say it was a life changer! She is so sweet, kind, informative and gentle. I have been twice and I can say I'll be a customer for life! The first time I took my two daughters in with me. They loved her! Makaylah was so sweet and gentle with my girls. She treated them like family. Makaylah made them seem important and like they were the only clients that mattered. My girls loved her. They gave her a hug after and told her Thank you. Now they ask to go back to be treated like princesses again. (Their words not mine!). As for me, what a confidence booster!! I took the plunge and went dramatic. I had long hair and I brought in a few pictures I liked of short bobs. Makaylah talked to me about each cut and how to care and style each. She told me what would look better for my face. We picked the one that I felt would work best for me. She then cut it, styled it and made me feel beautiful inside and out. The cut looked just like the picture. I have to say, I have never had more compliments on my hair ever!! If you want an experienced, kind and professional gal go see Makaylah!! Well what are you waiting for?! Call her!! I swear you won't regret it!
