Sugar Pine Creamery

Sugar Pine Creamery was a delightful find on our way back from dinner. This cozy little ice cream shop offers a rotating selection of six unique, craft flavors that change regularly. I tried the Walnut Buckwheat Toffee and Almond Tofu Apricot soft serves, and they were the silkiest, creamiest I’ve ever had. Each bite was a perfect blend of creativity and flavor. Loved that neither of the ice creams were too sweet. The service was exceptional. They were friendly, welcoming, and generous with samples.

I have been trying to go to Sugar Pine for some time now and have now finally made it. They’re a small operation and have six flavors at a time. They create the flavors in pairs that go well together and I really like that approach. All the flavors are really unique and they only stay for a couple of weeks before they totally revamp the menu. They also offer drinks to help cleanse your palate. Their hours are limited, so check their hours before going!

Wow! Just wow! This is a hidden gem when it comes to ice cream and/or soft serve. My family has a craving for ice cream and it was late. Sugar Pine Creamery closes at 8PM and we walked in at 7:45pm. Instead of giving us the look, the son and mother offered us all of their flavors with a fantastic attitude. They were so friendly and helpful. Speaking of flavors.... Oh my goodness. Out of this world! Their flavors are thoughtful and perfect. They have the right consistency and the the pairing of flavors is something to try. They change their flavor every two weeks. We will be back. We have found our spot!!!

The most incredible ice cream place in the area! The flavors are delicious and unique. The owners create new flavors every 2-3 weeks, which has me coming back often! The customer service is great too! They are so kind and let everyone try multiple flavors. They are so passionate about their family-owned business and make their ice cream in-house I have been here multiple times now and each time the flavors only get better and the staff is always so kind. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!

If there’s a reason stars exist, it’s for Sugar Pine Creamery. This place is beyond extraordinary, setting a standard that every 5-star restaurant—and frankly, any establishment—should aspire to. The kindness of the people here is so overwhelming it almost feels wrong to be treated this well in a business. Every single ice cream flavor they let me sample was simply amazing, leaving me wishing I could do more than just give them five stars. This is, without a doubt, the best family-owned ice cream shop ever. Sugar Pine Creamery is a shining example of how to treat your customers, and I can't recommend it enough!

The best Ice Cream Place in Plano!!! I cannot find any other place that makes this unique ice cream flavors in Texas. They change Ice Cream flavors every two weeks. They post it in their Instagram and Facebook. I will keep coming back to Sugar pine and will continue to recommend this place to every person I know. Please give them a try you will never disappoint!!!!

Limited number of flavors and from what I was told they change flavors every 2 weeks. The flavor options were interesting like spicy chocolate. We tried a couple of the combinations and they were ok. The lady was nice and would offer the samples of all the flavors up front. Then you can get a choice of topping on the order. Very limited seating capacity.

Amazing ice cream flavors! I love how creative they are with every rotation. Staff is always friendly, attentive, and helpful. Owners are super sweet and kind. Overall fun atmosphere, delicious treats, and highly recommended!

This small ice cream shop instantly grabs my attention because they do soft serve! AKA the best type of ice cream. Love that there are gluten free options as well ! The owner is very lovely, inviting, and easy to talk to. The store is decorated well with ample seating for you and your guests. The six flavors switch out every two weeks starting from Mondays, so if you're eyeing a specific flavor you'll have to visit before it leaves! 5 ! This ice cream is delicious! The flavors are super unique and rotate bi-weekly. You can keep up with their flavors via their website or instagram page. I love soft serve so this place really hits the spot. The staff is really nice and offered us samples of all of the flavors to see what we liked best. I love the interior- the patterns on the floor are such a cute touch! You won't find another shop like this!

The perfect soft serve shop, IMO! They have interesting and unique flavors and the creaminess of the soft serve, I haven't had in DFW! We heard about black sugar hojicha and had to go right away. It did not disappoint! We also got the ginger Asian pear, black sesame sticky rice. All the flavors were SPOT in and reminded me of the drink, dish, or memory I had associated with that flavor. Looking forward to the next set of flavors! Note: limited hours 4-8pm so be sure to grab kids and go right after school!!

We LOVE the soft serve here. They're super creative with their flavors and rotate weekly. The staff was super helpful and gave us lots of samples. He even made great suggestions on how to pair different flavors. Our favorites include: olive oil burrata, pandan tiramisu & lychee mango elderflower. Also, don't forget to add toppings to really unlock the experience (we love the mochi). 10/10 recommend, have to try if you're a fan of ice cream (who isn't)!

Our family's new favorite ice cream spot with unique and authentic Asian flavors. I never knew I needed a matcha cone in my life until this very moment. Have a photo op and chalk board session with your high energy nephews. The sugar might be counter-intuitive here but trust me.

We passed by this Creamery Shop about 10 minutes from our place. I ordered Queso flavor on a cup. It's not sweet, but creamy and delicious. Friendly Mom and Pop creamery shop serving staff. This business opened up about six years ago. Clean, lighted and decorated creamery shop. I will try their milk tea flavors next time.

Stopped in and was a little taken back by no traditional flavors of ice cream. Super nice people, let's you try flavors but the ice cream wasn't set enough for me, all were a little too soft for my liking and we were looking for some traditional flavors for a treat. Had a 7 and 10 year old with me, they weren't adventurous enough yet.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Family owned restaurant with the coolest flavors. The flavors range from simple flavors like "Chocolate Caramel" to "Norwegian Brown Cheese" to "Miso Maple". I don't live nearby but when I'm in Plano it is a must stop. Despite the wild and unconventional flavors this place DOESN'T MISS. I honestly have not tried a bad flavor here. Flavors change weekly. The owner is the sweetest lady and she will give flavor and topping suggestions and if you're lucky she might even tell you how she picked the flavor that week! Her and the 2 other guys that work there (I think her sons) always have a friendly smile on there face and make great connections with customers. I always feel recognized and appreciated when I come into the shop, they know how to create a welcoming atmosphere. In short, everyone in the DFW Metroplex should try this place at least once and checkout the crazy cool flavors and even cooler word menu art on their instagram.

Service was excellent. Very nice guy helped us decide what to get. The ice cream was rich and creamy with unique flavors available.

THE BEST soft serve, I come all the way from Houston for this. Love that they experiment with flavors and love that it includes Asian flavors. The workers are always so nice, letting me sample things and explaining the flavors to me. I can always count on them for amazing ice soft serve. I highly debated getting pints to bring back to Houston, that's how good it was! It was so good, my boyfriend dug into the soft serve before I could take a picture.

Love this place! So much better than somi somi. Quality and service is so much better. Somi somi hires too many teenagers so customer service is not great. I love this place because the flavors change weekly. Although it is a bummer if you like a flavor it does take forever for it to come back and that's a big 'if' it comes back too. They have sugar free and milk free flavors which I like. Overall, would recommend this place. I've came here with my little family multiple times and would continue to come.

I love sugar pine!! It's so cool how they do weekly flavors and they're always soo creative! The shop itself is super cute and the owner/employees are super friendly. They are super generous with their samples and encourage you to try all of their flavors. I will forever support this business and what they do.

My hubby and I were craving ice cream after dinner and decided to drop by Sugar Pie Creamery located on Legacy and Coit. It was around 7:30 pm on a cold Saturday night, thirty minutes from closing and the place was busy as usual. This Plano ice cream shop is one of a kind. They change flavors every two weeks. They use real fruit, no extracts. We tried the flavors featured to see which ones to pick. All were delicious. We decided on a mini cup of Red Velvet and Cupid's Cup swirl for me and a mini cup of Yuzu Mango Cheesecake and Coconut Panna Cotta for my hubby. Yummy! Delicious and unique ice cream flavors, cute place, friendly service.

My wife & I came here for a light dessert. We are not disappointed. The place was very quaint and the flavors were delicious and creative. At the time we came, we were the only ones there so the owner was very helpful serving us. We will definitely come back again. Our flavors were green apple & peach lambic and balsamic roasted strawberry dairy free + matcha buttermint .

Such a great experience. Took my two picky daughters and husband today, the guy at front let the girls do a taste test, and all four of us walked out with delicious fresh ice cream. I had the yuzu/mango swirl and it was so refreshing. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

WOW we've been sleeping on this place. Walked in and it's very clean. The owner is the sweetest - she gave us samples of all the flavors without us even asking! From there we chatted through what our favorites were and she made us our treats. The texture of this ice cream is a dream - it's probably the best soft serve we've ever had. We love supporting small businesses and will definitely be back :)

I love this small Asian owned soft serve ice cream store! Service is always on par. They rotate flavors weekly and allow samples in store. The flavors aren't too sweet and always taste super refreshing. If I lived in Plano I would go every week!!!

One of the best and creative ice cream places in dfw :) it's family owned and service is phenomenal. They switch out their flavors every two weeks and they're more than happy to let you sample them. They have the most unique flavors like lychee rose, Thai tea tiramisu, osmanthus white peach, etc. and the flavors are so authentic and consistent. I got mochi as my complimentary topping and it was so soft and bouncy instead of hard and stale like other places. The green tea cone was also crispy and fresh you can tell they put a lot of heart into their recipes. The interior is bright and welcoming with lots of tables and chairs to chill at.

We've been coming to Sugar Pine for years and it's our favorite ice cream shop in the metroplex. They have rotating flavors every two weeks and they are always very unique and delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything you choose from here. They do a lot of Asian-inspired flavors as the owners are Indonesian. I always leave here satisfied and wanting to come back to try more flavors. Follow them on IG to see what their current flavors are. F I V E stars!!! What a delicious treat this was! My husband and I were in north Richardson for lunch and wanted dessert so we did a quick search on Yelp and Sugar Pine popped up! This already had such race 5 star reviews; we figured it would be an incredible place to try and we were right! First of all, Andre & his mom make the most adorable mother/son team. A well operated machine, where you could see them both work the counter so swiftly and complimented each other's strengths. Thank you Andre for taking the time to let us sample this week's flavors and for explaining everything y'all had to offer with such patience and kindness. You made our first time at Sugarpine that much better. I grabbed the strawberry rhubarb ice cream on a chocolate based cone and Stephen ordered the cherry cola (dairy free ice cream) mixed in with the coconut on a cup. Both of us added Oreos as our toppers because why the heck not? What a fun treat on a summer day! Go support this amazing biz!

Delicious handmade ice cream from a local family business, it cannot get better than this! They have rotating flavors. They let you sample every flavor. You can even buy pints to take home. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I appreciate that they always have two dairy free flavors. You can stay updated with their flavors on their Instagram page! This place has slowly become an addiction for me and my family!

Easily my favorite dessert shop in Plano. I love that the sweet owner rotates all the soft serve flavors about every 2 weeks so I can come back and try something new. The flavors here are not your typical ones, but very unique combinations that you most likely won't find anywhere else. Among my favorites I've tried in the past are the ube brownie, pandan brulee, royal milk tea, jasmine ect. There's a bunch of fun toppings you can add to your soft serve, but my favorite topping is always boba (or the toasted coconut flakes). They also serve boba drinks here as well. I just tried the light & refreshing honey chrysanthemum soft serve and it's the perfect treat on a hot day.

This place opened up in Jan 2019 right before the pandemic hit. I'm so glad that they were able to stay open through it and come out thriving. they're closed on mondays and that's when they'll announce new flavors on their facebook or instagram. They have amazing and unique flavors (a lot of asian flavors!!) that change every 2 weeks. i love/hate that. love because there's always something new to try, but hate because when i fall in love with a flavor it's gone and likely won't be back for a long time. or if there's a flavor that i really want to try, but don't have time to stop by i'm super disappointed :( i love that there's always 2 dairy free flavors because i'm pretty sure that i'm lactose sensitive. the owners are super sweet and will give you samples to some/all the flavors and offer suggestions for mixes and toppings. i'll also grab a pint to go if the flavor is super yummy. during the hot summer i like adding a scoop to my cold bubbly drinks to add some flavor - it's delicious.

This place is special. My son and I go there on good days (and it gets better) and bad days (to make it better). The owner and staff are super helpful. Even when it gets busy, their service is fast. The inside of the shop is cozy and bright. Most of all, we love the quality and taste. The changing soft serve ice cream flavors are unique and fun and their boba teas are top notch. Yum! Hands down our favorite in DFW.

This is the BEST ice cream in Dallas. The shop gives such an easy, fun vibe and the customer service is top notch. Also the kumquat iced tea is so delicious - worth trying if you've never had one before. Seriously everything is so good. We drive in from 45 minutes out of town as often as we because we can't stay away. It hits every time. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a gem! I found it on Yelp, although my dentist is in the same strip, I never noticed this spot. The choices and taste was awesome. I like how they change out the favors. Service was great. It was my first visit and not knowing what to expect, the young man had me try all the flavors. His recommendation was on point, it was the one I ended up purchasing. The ambiance was ok, you can sit in and enjoy your dessert or take it to go. It's small, but welcoming.

This place has some very good tasting soft serve ice cream! It's super clean and tidy on the inside of the store. The owner is a very sweet lady and the only one working when I came. She seems to have many regulars who come by. When I came up to the front, she offered up all the flavors to sample! I've ordered the green tea cone with mint chocolate and Irish cream pistachio (swirl) with choco drizzle as my first time here! I also got a cup with peach buttermilk with lemon cookie (topping) and sweet milk (drizzle). The have about 6 flavors here. The flavor itself is very delicious as said by many! I love the environment here. I definitely recommend stopping by here to support! No wonder why there's so many high reviews on this place, the hype is real! *They also have boba tea here, but I didn't get it! 5/5

Came here for dessert with a friend. It's a cute little place with a few tables for us to sit and chat. The worker was so sweet and nice! She let us sample every single flavor. I think they rotate flavors every week. They had six very unique flavors, lots of topping and syrup choices, and even a drink selection with its own unique flavors as well (okinawa, taro, etc.). Some of the soft serve flavors can come swirled, but if you wanted two flavors that can't be swirled, you have the option to just put the second flavor on top. We ended up sharing a regular cup with the chocolate hazelnut almond and cherry blossom mochi top (not swirled) and adding oreo crumbs. The chocolate hazelnut almond did not overpower the fruitiness of the cherry blossom. And the cherry blossom had a nice fruity hint to it that was so subtle and perfect. I loved all of their other flavors too. The regular size cup was perfect for sharing. I would definitely come back here to try other flavors!

What a darling family business, I spoke to the owner while I enjoyed my dairy free swirl of peach and jackfruit. She is such a sweet woman with a bubbling personality. Her son was there also, and he makes the perfect swirls for your ice cream. The shop is very simple but cute, plenty of places to sit with your sugary treat. You feel very welcomed there. From what she told me, every Tuesday she comes up with new fresh flavors.

I have been meaning to try this place for a LOOOOONG time, as I've followed their instagram for a while. They have unique flavors that from what I've seen, don't really return often, so if you see a flavor you want to try, go before it's gone! They rotate their flavors biweekly. Locally owned, when I walked in I was immediately greeted. Had a feeling it was the owner, but they offered samples if we were unsure of the flavors. They offer non dairy options as well as swirls, toppings, and free drizzles which I did not take advantage of since I didn't read it! Next time! There are a few sizes as well as the option to have it in a cone. They also have boba drinks which ACTUALLY come with the pearls - they don't charge! You don't see that often anymore! And it's cheap - definitely will have to try some next time. Now the flavor - wow the Maple Bourbon packs a punch! Super sweet, yet so rich and you really can taste the maple. The texture was super smooth. Lychee Mango was so delicious - had the perfect amount of tartness and you could taste both flavors distinguished. I will definitely be back, it's worth a try!

My friends have been telling me about this place. I finally went with them to try it! They change out their flavors often but I had to go when they had my favorite flavor black sesame! Great customer service too. Will definitely think of this place when I'm craving ice cream.

Super yummy ice cream place! They have amazing soft serve and let you try the flavors. The flavors rotate every few weeks so there's always something new to try. I got the pecan toffee popcorn with churro cereal topping and sweet milk. The flavor was really good, definitely sweet and so good with the churro cereal. Super friendly customer service. They were very patient with us trying all the flavors. Will definitely be back to try all the new upcoming flavors!

Hidden gem in Plano, locally owned soft serve shop in a strip mall! There's about 6 flavors at a time, the owner rotates the flavors every 2 weeks. Unique flavors like elderflower and coconut nog, there's dairy free options too. Got 2 cups, one was a swirl of pandan and ruby chocolate with chocolate drizzle and the other was pandan with sweet milk drizzle and marshmallows. Both were phenomenal! Not overly sweet, tasted very fresh. The owner was friendly and fun to talk to! Excited to come by and try her other flavors.

I LOVE Sugar Pine Creamery! I visited while I was in town, but I wish they had a location in Austin. I ordered the Pineapple Blueberry Buttermilk soft serve in a Red Velvet cone. I like that they have different cone flavors, but the red velvet tasted very similar to a regular cone in my opinion. The soft serve was incredibly delicious and I loved the blue color! I loved how light the soft serve felt as opposed to thick, creamy ice cream. I could have easily eaten another cone haha. The shop itself is very cute and the staff was very friendly! I'd highly recommend coming here for a sweet treat!

I will drive over 20 mins just to go to this place. Amazing ice cream. So smooth and creamy. I am obsessed with all the flavors as they are always unique and the flavor pairings for the swirls are always amazing. Some of the best flavors to date are the banana biscoff, mango sticky rice, and matcha pistachio. I could literally go every day and not get tired of this place. Worth the drive and worth the price.

I've been here 3 times. It's OK. They make unique flavors weekly, but sometimes the flavors are hit or miss (for me). One downside is if there is a flavor you like, it may not come back for a while - said the worker. Very small seating area inside. Not good for groups larger than 3. There's a handful of tables in the main area that can seat 2-4 ppl, and there's bench/2-seater tables along the wall to the bathroom. Not much room for a stroller. Personally, this place is not a favorite of mine, but I would take out of town visitors here or go if friends wanted to come here.

Didn't know I was walking into a specialty creamery, so I was a little unprepared for the unfamiliar flavor selection. But the owner was so inviting and kind, taking his time to explain all the flavors and allowing us to try them! For someone who goes for the simple flavors, I quite enjoyed their dairy-free orange ice cream and the caramel miso popcorn flavor. They are amazing people, I would def come back to support their business.

The inside is small but it's a cute place to sit in and grab some quick ice cream. Food -- Sugar Pine's ice cream is a soft serve texture. You can pick a flavor, or have two flavors swirled together. The machines are built so you can only get swirls for pre-chosen combinations. If you want two flavors in the same cup that aren't a pre-chosen combination, they'll just stack one flavor on top of the other. You also get one complimentary topping. Watermelon sugar/Passion orange guata (4.5/5): Delicious, refreshing, fruity summertime sorbet! My boyfriend who doesn't usually like sorbets enjoyed this combo as well. Lemon buttermilk/Blueberry cobbler (4/5): Lemon buttermilk was a light flavor, but the blueberry cobbler flavor was strong. It felt more rich and thick, although I think it's just because it was a hearty pie flavor. Pandan coconut (5/5): One of my favorites!! Tastes exactly like panda coconut jelly but in ice cream form. Light and refreshing. Lychee cheesecake/Purple yam ube (4.5/5): I loved this flavor combination so much!!! The lychee cheesecake was a unique flavor, with strong presence of lychee. The ube wasn't super strong, but mixed with lychee it helped balance out the sweetness. Red adzuki bean/Matcha creme brûlée (4/5): Tasted exactly what you would think, red bean and matcha mixed together! Classic and accurate Asian flavors. Service -- Superb service here! Since they only have six flavors, they happily let you try all the flavors before you decide. They're also good at recommending toppings with certain ice cream flavors for those who are indecisive. Staff has always been super nice. Summary -- Sugar pine creamery is a must visit ice cream shop! Cute, and new unique ice cream flavors keep bringing me back!

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now since we love soft serve and finally stopped by yesterday. We got the Thai tea tiramisu with sweet milk and the pineapple orange coconut. Both were really good and not too sweet. The workers there were also very nice and offered samples to try. They rotate their flavors every two weeks so I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their other flavors!

Fantastic place to eat ice cream! They always have the most unique soft serve flavors and the store owner is so kind! It's a great place to hang out and enjoy some unique soft serve! Couldn't recommend it more!

Ordered the Singapura and the mango peach persimmon swirl. One word. Amazing. It's dairy free and so refreshing while *not too sweet*. I would come back for just the couple that are running the cute little shop. Definitely going to be coming back for more and one to go

What else can I say that 119 reviewers have not already said? This is not just hype, there is no hype.. it's just legit good ice cream. The ice cream is made in house by the owner. It's just her. She rotates unique ice cream flavors every 2 weeks. Unique meaning it's not just plain chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. She includes at least 2 non dairy options. The first time we went in the flavors were dragon fruit calamansi, kiwi, grape, apple, root beer, toasted marshmallow, cardamon pistachio, and violet creme brulee. I got to sample every flavor and loved every flavor. You can swirl the flavors, get multiple flavors, or just one flavor. Before I knew you can just get one, I swirled the kiwi, grape, apple with the dragon fruit. It was so good. When some places do multiple flavors, one flavor is usually more powerful than the other. Not here, you can clearly make out the dragon fruit, kiwi, apple, and grape. We came the last day of those flavors. The following Sunday we came in for the new flavors, which where Honey lemon chamomille, easter candy, chili chocolate, citrus hibiscus, and pandan jasmine. Today is the last day for those, so there will be new flavors next week. I got the pandan jasmine last visit and I loved the two together. Also has milk teas and fruit teas. I've had or tasted the black sugar milk tea, thai milk tea, lychee tea, passion fruit tea, and the guava tea. All delicious. Seriously. Stop by here and give it a try. The owner is very nice and loves to chat. She'll recommend flavors to swirl and toppings if you are unsure.

Found a favorite ice cream shop! I tried the tomato strawberry, which is dairy free. Before I tried I was a little nervous but afterwards OMG yummy!! Just a hint pf tomato after the burst of strawberry. My youngest tried the lychee cheesecake. SO decadent! Really doesn't need anything else but SO cute with galaxy sprinkles! My oldest got the clementine kiwi. Again! Really yummy!! I love the fresh clementine flavor with a taste of kiwi at the end. So fresh! They do new flavors every 2 weeks. So I am thinking I will need to visit every 2 weeks! Lol! You cam take some in pints. So don't worry that a favorite will be just gone. Get some to store at home and nibble!

This place has really amazing ice cream! It's kind of in hidden plaza if you're not looking for the place. We walked in and were greeted by a very sweet lady. They change up their ice cream frequently so there's always a different flavor. Our group had a hard time deciding so she let us sample all the flavors. When we stopped by she had butterbeer, chocolate hazelnut, grape, honey rose, and 2 other flavors available. Each were so creamy and delicious! It wasn't overly sweet either. I ended up choosing honey rose in a cone (pictured). If you're looking for a dessert in the Plano area I would highly highly recommend Sugar Pine. The ice cream flavors are available swirled so you could get the best of both worlds. Pints are also available for purchase too.
