We ordered a customized cake for our daughter’s first birthday. The craftsmanship, flavor, and presentation were excellent. Highly recommend for any special occasion.

We stopped in and picked up a blueberry cupcake, a brownie with chocolate icing, a sugar cookie and a brownie without icing. The cupcake was good, the vanilla cake wasn’t as moist as I prefer, but was good. The icing was fantastic. Both brownies were very good. The icing was similar to what you’d get on a Texas sheet cake. The sugar cookie was okay, but it’s a sugar cookie. Definitely recommend any treats from here.

Doing a triple back flip over the flavor. I wanted a unique cake and you delivered. They have over fifty cake flavors. I got a three tier, five inch, cookie dough, cake batter, and red velvet cake. The crafting and taste were right on. Highly recommending to my friends and family! P.S. the bakery smells amazing!

I’m thoroughly impressed by Sugar Ray’s bakery. I ordered 100 Lego themed cup cakes for an office party and not only did I get exactly what I was hoping for, but the cupcakes were very delicious as well! My coworkers kept asking me where they were from because they were so good and demanded I get more from this place next time. The flavors are prominent and the cupcakes are very moist. For this party I got chocolate, birthday cake, carrot cake and red velvet and all of them were spot on.

This place deserves a solid 4.5 stars! I came in on a Friday about 30 minutes before close just to pick up a few cupcakes and I was super pleased there was still a decent selection. The person helping me was very friendly. I picked out six cupcakes and two cookies. The cupcakes were boxed carefully so that they didn’t slide around, which I really appreciated. Each cupcake had moist tasty cake with a huge pile of frosting on top. The red velvet cupcake in particular was fantastic. The vanilla cupcake was pleasant but a little bland and I was surprised that the frosting was cream cheese and not vanilla buttercream. I also loved the funfetti with chocolate frosting. This place is going on our short list of bakeries to return to!

Every cupcake I've had from Sugar Ray's is so moist and delicious. The photo is from a couple of months ago, but I just tried the Peaches & Cream and Bourbon Pecan from this month's menu and they were sooooooo good. Sometimes when things are called peach flavor, you get very little peach and it's all just cinnamon, but the Peaches & Cream cupcake was full of peaches! I'm a huge fan of the cupcakes here.

I was very fortunate to snag a Too Good To Go order from this bake shop, it was a total treat! Their cupcakes, in my opinion, are delightful and the best in town. Each and every mouthful had a moist and delicious taste and was completely sweet. The service here is exceptionally sweet, mirroring the undeniably amazing cupcakes. The ladies carefully packs all of the orders, and they are consistently kind and always welcoming, therefore making the experience considerably better. Any cupcake lover should visit this place. It is a good place whether someone is planning ahead along with grabbing a last-minute treat! I look forward to all my future visit.

Yummy cupcakes! I love that they rotate the flavors and there's so many different ones to choose from. The cupcakes are so moist and the flavors are all pretty good. They even stay moist and delicious in the fridge for the next day too. It's a cute little shop inside and it's very easy to buy and take out. There's a few small tables and chairs outside if you want to eat there but most people just take out to go.

Cake was completely inedible, tasted like eating a stick of butter. Even the kids wouldn't eat it and we ended up throwing it out. It's as if they were in a hurry making it and forgot ingredients, also haphazardly adding way too much frosting. The bread was extremely dense. Wasted $85.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while now but every time I remembered, it was too late and they were closed. I finally made it and it didn't disappoint. Strawberry cupcake - it reminds me of boxed strawberry cake. Same taste and smell but for me this isn't a bad thing. I liked it. Frosting was way too sweet for me but if you love frosting, this may be your jam. I would get it again. It was fluffy goodness. Brownie - So good and best of all, no nuts. My only regret was not having a glass of milk. Will definitely get one again. Chocolate chip cookies - Too sweet for my liking. I didn't realize it was filled with chocolate in the middle when I purchased it. It also seems to have perhaps cinnamon or nutmeg in it. I'm more of a crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, type but this one is all soft. It's good, I just prefer less sweet and some crunch. All a matter for personal preference. I'd skip this one next time but happy I tried it. Can't wait to stop by to try a new cupcake flavor. Prices are reasonable and service is great.

I was really WOWED by this bakery! I wanted to get a cool cake for my husband's birthday and Sugar Ray's exceeded my expectations in both the successful execution of the design and the taste of the cake. I placed an inquiry on their website for a cake and I included a few pictures for reference. I was looking for a stylized cartoon cake. In addition to the photos (inspo from Pinterest) I also wrote a brief description of what I wanted. Shortly thereafter, someone from the bakery called to follow up and confirm that the cake could be made. I was quoted a price and asked for a credit card number to hold it. I placed the order on Wednesday for pick up on Friday afternoon. There were many cake fillings to choose from and I chose red velvet. When I picked up the cake, the girl at the counter was super-nice. She brought out the cake and I was able to view it before it was boxed. It looked so good! I was really thrilled with how awesome the cake looked- they really nailed the vision! Before I left, I noticed some cupcakes in their bakery case. They were really unique flavors, so I just had to try them, so I also got a peach cobbler and Snickers Cupcake. Boy, was I glad I did. They were so good! The buttercream frosting was divine, and the cake was moist and not overly sweet. I especially loved the peach cobbler cupcake. It had a delicate slice of peach on the top that somehow was really moist, and to my delight, it also had some peach chunks in the cupcake itself which were really good. When the cake was unveiled at the party, it was a huge hit! Everyone loved it and even better, I got so many complements on how great the cake was! It was a red velvet filling, and it was perfection! No doubt I will come here next time I need a cake or get a craving for cupcakes. Sugar Ray's makes great quality baked goods and based on how great the cake and cupcakes were, i am looking forward to trying other cake/ cupcake flavors. What a gem of a place!

Ordered a custom birthday cake and it turned out perfect! Not only did it look beautiful but it tasted great too! Would recommend this bakery and will be back to order more!

I had never had anything from Sugar Ray's before ordering my birthday cake from them. I found them through IG and yelp and saw a couple of their cake designs that I really liked. I called to place the order and sent them the screenshot of the cake I wanted. I asked for it with a black background and was told that I couldn't get that because of how the icing would turn everyone's tongues black. I didn't mind that but agreed since they were adamant. I changed my color preferences saying "light pink with FUCHSIA, black, and gold leaf in the design." When I picked up my cake, what I got was definitely not fuchsia in the mix, but rather a kind of mauvey-reddish hue. I was quite displeased, but my party was in a few hours so I didn't have a choice. The staff tried to be accommodating by adding more gold leaf and apologized for my dissatisfaction. I still paid the full amount and took my cake to the party. They also put my faux flowers on the cake, which helped with the presentation but I was still disappointed as the color of pink (fuchsia) in the picture I showed them from their IG page was the actual color I wanted and I didn't think I needed to explain that to them. Fuchsia is fuchsia. Google it. Fast forward to my party when we had the cake... I got a lot of compliments on the cake and I tried to hide my dissatisfaction with its appearance not being exactly how I wanted. However, once we cut the cake and tasted it, I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with the flavor of the cake! I ordered the chocolate fudge brownie, even though I was a bit unsure of how it would taste. It tasted exactly like I hoped and exceeded my expectations! Everyone at the party loved the cake, even those who swear they hate chocolate cake! Moral of this story: my note to self is that when ordering a cake, even though you have a picture, it's probably best to go in person to place the order and show directly what you mean. Similarly, it may be best not to deviate from the colors of the picture. The original cake image from their IG page was really cute and I would've been pleased with it as depicted, but the colors just weren't exactly in alignment from my party theme. Considering all of this, I actually would go back and do business with Sugar Ray's again, but will take heed of the notes above.

I had their toffee macadamia cupcake, and it may have been the best coffee I've ever eaten in my life. No joke, it was that good!!!

Overall my experience with them wasn't the best but obviously people love them. Communication was so so and pick up day left me very anxious and frustrated when what we had thoroughly discussed wasn't done. We salvaged the situation and the cake presented well but it was not exact and the reaction I got from the owner wasn't great imho. Frosting was very very heavy and tasted better the next day or so. Still it was heavy and much of it got tossed. I would possibly not try them again in the future but I don't doubt others may enjoy their cakes and more.

I put a request a couple weeks back with a photo and talked to some people to place the order and put in final requests. picked up the cake today and they forgot to write "happy birthday" had to tell them. and it looks nothing like the reference photo. they wouldn't help me or refund at all so now i'm stuck with an awful cake. I had really high hopes for this business i'm really hurt. this is unbelievable $310 for this. !!!!

Delicious cupcakes! This place is my brother's favorite cupcake spot and I can see why. I love their story & how they came to be. Their cupcakes are made fresh daily which is great. I haven't had a single bad cupcake from this shop. It was my brother's birthday recently so I had to stop by to pick up some cupcakes (pictured below). Every cupcake tasted as they were described with our favorite being the cookie butter. The Funfetti could've been a tad bit more moist but besides that, every cupcake I got was delicious. I'm sure her custom cakes are even better from the pictures I've seen online. If you're in the area & love cupcakes, look no further. This is your spot.

Ordered cake from California for my daughters birthday. They delivered and made to order the perfect cake. Cake was just as yummy as it was stunning! You won't be disappointed. Very professional.

I did an order for my boyfriend's Birthday and the cake came out exactly how I wanted it. It was carrot cake flavor with cream cheese filling . It was delicious. The service was fast and the lady at the front desk was so nice. The inside of the bakery was really pretty and had beautiful decorations and there art on display. I LOVED IT WILL BE GOING AGAIN! I happened to know this place through the Netflix show Sugar Rush! Apart from the fact that you guys won that competition(yay! Congratulations), I found your macarons so darn good. No wonder you are the best in town! I just can't get the caramel macaron's taste off my mind! Loved all other flavors and the cupcakes as well! Soft sponge, and delicious buttercream! I can't stop yapping about this place!

I have had several cakes made from this shop over the last couple of years! They always get back to me on a custom order submission quickly and the cakes always turn out amazing. I've tried several flavors ranging from vanilla, strawberry, red velvet, carrot etc and can vouch for them all.

I special ordered a cake at the last minute for a graduation party. With weddings snd graduations taking place I wasn't sure I could get it. Well not only did I get the cake done perfectly, the taste was unbelievable! Run don't walk to sugar rays.

Went in for some cupcakes.. wasn't acknowledged for a good 4 minutes even with multiple staff passing by. Went to place order and spent nearly $40 on 6 cupcakes... they were yummy, but not for $40. Was carrying my baby in carseat and cupcakes struggling to open the door while to older woman who rang me up just watched. Wasn't expecting that for first time going into the bakery or the price tag.

I really love Sugar Ray's - such good flavor combos! Not overly sweet icing! Tender cake! Really, they just do everything well. You won't be disappointed when you order from them - my personal favorite is the seasonal gingerbread, but the white-on-white is an office favorite. YUM!!!!

The best red velvet cupcake I have ever had. My only regret is that I didn't buy a second one for myself.

Got a strawberry cupcake and 4 flavors of macarons; chocolate, vanilla, fruity pebbles and cake batter. The vanilla was really good and so was the chocolate just a little sweet. The other two were decent. The cupcake was really good, soft, moist and flavorful. Just wish it was filled with strawberry filling or something, but thats personal preference, it was still good! 4 stars only cause this isn't my fav place for macarons right now, this place is really a 4.5-4.9.

Can I tell you I love you?!? These are hands down the best cupcakes I've had in a long time. They taste like butter, which is a great thing! The flavor combinations are awesome. I had 2 dozen cupcakes made for my nursing graduation and I was not disappointed. The decorations were cute and simple. We have red velvet, coconut, vanilla and strawberry. All were moist and flavorful. Normally I don't eat icing because it's too sweet but these were perfect. I will say it's rich and delicious and I could only eat one even though I wanted more. Sugar Ray will definitely be my go to bakery for cupcakes! I wish I could go back everyday to taste a different flavor!

Everyone that I dealt with at this business was very friendly and helpful. The cake was exactly what we wanted and it was so beautiful and delicious. My daughter and granddaughter loved it so much! My daughter said it was the prettiest cake she'd ever seen!

Probably one of the best cake shop here. I ordered small " unicorn theme" cake and few cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. They were delicious! I don't have a sweet tooth and rarely indulge in sweet treats but sugar ray's cupcakes I couldn't resist! It was perfect to my taste. Both cupcakes and cake were not too sweet . I devoured whole cupcake with icing!

UPDATED after onwer's comment - The purpose of this review was to share our experience and not to look for any explanation as you are repeating what we heard on day of pick up. You need to be unbiased when reviewing two sides. Your staff was unprofessional and untruthful on most of the statements. We understand and even shared our appreciation with them for the hard work (that's why we let go you doing the colors again) but in the end customers pay for end result and not just hard work. We came to your shop with high expectations both on professionalism and customer service. And you fell short on both. The cake was completely dry and we did indeed throw most of the cake out (moist cake is one of the most crucial criteria). Not even once your staff (young or old) apologized!! You seem to be so biased towards your "young" staff and also "gender"... as you keep mentioning young girls or young women. Young or old, man or woman, boy or girl - they all should have a character and be respectful and you should better know that. Did you even notice your staff changing statements (and rather blaming us for it) in your recording, may be not - guess your bias came in the way! You need to take ownership of your errors. We were always kept under the impression that you will be able to make the closest replica and your staff changed statement on pick-up after we pointed out even the simple things like sky blue color not matching. You yourself committed to make the replica but you failed to make the "baby" character even close to what was expected, your color coding was off and cake tasted terrible due to being so dry but you don't accept your fault at all instead keep stating that you put long hours and getting on us. Pictures are reflective of what you made. Putting long hours doesn't mean it's a win game, cake (at the least) has to taste good which didn't happen in this case. And on top of that, you have poor customer service. You can do better than this. Lastly, there are definitely many more bakeries out there not just in this State but other states that are best-in-class and we are not new to the idea of requesting custom cakes. So, you do not have to worry about our future bakery needs as we have already found another bakery closeby with whom we got 2nd cake made. Original post follows: We ordered a custom 2-tier birthday cake from Sugar Ray's and had a very bad experience. - 8" tier cake (larger tier) was completely dry and inedible. We had to throw away most of it. They couldn't even deliver on making a moist cake. - they promised that they will make baby character and instead made an ugly grandpa looking person. They charged us again to fix him and made him even worse. We ended up removing the whole character from the cake and had to cover it up ourselves. - the color coding was off than what we requested for the cake. They failed to make the larger tier (8") sky-blue and infact covered it with such a dull faded color. - the staff was quite rude and infact blamed us for changing our statements, when rather they did that themselves. They charged us extra to fix the baby character and made it looking even worse PLUS they didn't do anything to fix colors of the cake. They kept on saying that it will be a lot of work, didn't do it and kept changing their statement. - WE DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SHOP !!! Attaching 3 pictures - 2 of their two attempts to make baby JJ and 3rd one for dull sky blue color.

I like the shape, customer service and how they accommodate my request in short notice. The chocolate cupcake was good, decorated with Elmo face in very beautiful way. I also got ur strawberry cake with mermaid decorations, cake wasn't good but the decoration was cute.

This was a great idea and they were very helpful with my order. Both the cake and the cupcakes were yummy . Will keep ordering from them do future events.

During my last visit, I walked in to see only 4 cupcakes left. I was extremely disappointed to only have leftover cupcakes to choose from. Since I know getting here before all sold is a hit or miss, I decided to get the peanut butter sopapilla & chocolate hazelnut cupcakes...two flavors I would not normally get. Both cupcakes were excellent!! Sugar Ray's cupcakes are always moist which keeps me coming back for more. The one thing I was worried about when I first tried Sugar Ray's is the fact they use cream cheese in all icings. Fortunately, it is such a small amount and comes together perfectly with the cupcake flavor. My favorite is the Smores cupcake. If it is in stock, do yourself a favor and grab it (or at least grab it for me)!!!

I am so disappointed. I've used Sugar Ray's numerous times for cookies and cupcakes; my parents' 50th anniversary, my 50th birthday, showers, etc. I went to them more than a week ago for frosted sugar cookies for a housewarming party. I wanted house shaped cookies. I explained this. I was asked to send a picture of my new house they could use for inspiration. I thought how awesome! They would make red brick, etc. Nope. They took that picture and somehow imposed in the icing. It is cheap and tacky looking. Worst of all despite making it clear this was not at all what I had expected when I picked them up, I was charged $180 for them. I'm too embarrassed to even hand them out. I also did a self check and showed them to a friend who does not live here and got the response of, "Are you kidding me? Those look awful."

Ordered a smash cake for my baby girl's first birthday. I'm not normally a fan of vanilla flavor, but this cake was DELICIOUS. And on top of that, it was so beautiful! I'll definitely be using them for every birthday now!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I came in last week to place an order for cupcakes and cookies the employee told me to come back when it was three weeks away from my event date. I came to the store exactly 3 weeks away from my event to place my order and they told me they couldn't do my order because they had to many for that day. They then told me I could do it for the day before but they would charge me a fee to keep the items overnight for me to pick up on the day needed. I am very disappointed as this is my go to spot for cupcakes for parties. Sadly I will not be back.

We went into Ray's Bake Shop to sample some of their new flavors and were pleasantly surprised by the flavors. It was a wonderful treat at the end of a long day and I would highly recommend them in the future. The owner provides a high level of customer service and we will continue to view this bake shop as our "go to" cupcake place.

All I can say is thank goodness they give me a limited selection, because I'm sure I would get two of everything if they had more to choose from. Although, this does mean that I have to keep coming back to try other flavors. I wouldn't think you can get any more common than a RED VELVET CUPCAKE, but OMG!! The cake on these suckers are so light and fluffy and they're icing is so soft, creamy and light in texture that you almost forget there should be at least an ounce of guilt. Oh no!! The guilt comes after you realize you've devoured an entire cupcake in seconds, just because it's that good!

My husband and I ordered a few dozens of mini cupcakes to complete our wedding's dessert table. They looked super cute and presentable, great size and tastes delicious. My guests couldn't help to rave about it! The staff were super friendly and helpful in helping us narrow down our selections, and the girl that delivered was super sweet. Thank you so much for all that you did! My wedding wouldn't have been so perfect without these sweets!

We order cupcakes from Sugar Ray's at least 7 to 8 times a year. When It came time for my personal birthday, we ordered them in advanced as always called after emailing to verify. Called again the day of to check if they were ready before leaving to get them and the cupcakes where never made. They offered to make them for the next day. They did so without a mention or any effort to fix there mistake. I had double checked and verified before hand and still they just forgot? The woman I spoke to said she would pass it along but she had no power to do anything to make up for it. Apparently no one dose or cares to. The cupcakes them selfs are very good, but I will not be ordering again from a company that overlooks you and dose nothing to make up for it.

Got a custom chocolate cake that turned out so cute. Everyone talked about how delicious it was and how great a job they did. Definitely recommend getting a cake here if you are having any occasion!

This is a review to add to the experience that my wife shared previously. I went to the shop with her and our three babies to pick up the cake for our first child's third birthday. I didn't set foot into the store as I was waiting in the car with my children but what happened was a bit baffling. We went to the store 20 minutes earlier than the pickup time and were told to come back in 20 minutes because that was when the cake would be ready. By 3:30 pm, when we were back from a little drive around the neighborhood, my wife went into the shop and only came out with the cake by 4:05 PM. In the meantime, I've seen two or three customers that walked in and got out with their cakes. Were they also told to come back at a later time than their original pick-up time? Well, we weren't given any explanation except that it was a busy day. 30 minutes may not be a big deal. But if you value your time and don't want to be sitting in your car without knowing what's going on in the store, this may not be your shop. (or be 30 minutes late!)
