Wow this crazy staff woke up today and chose violence. They're animals. This is clearly a mom-pop that's never had contact with the outside world of class or hospitality. Never in my life to experience such entitled, misunderstanding, aggressive, threatening of a restaurant. The old man literally lost his temper when I asked for a new batch of fries. In his defense, he misunderstood my concern, went from 0-100, without any openness for dialog or feedback. Him and his waitress yelled and screamed that his food couldn't have possibly be old. He shouted that the worst case, it was overcooked (which I initially politely suggested to his other waitress but she may have twisted or lied about what I said). Either way, a simple resolve would have been just to cook a new order.
When the first batch of fries arrived, it was BROWN and SOGGY. My 6 yo was even able to point it out. I respectfully asked the waitress for a new batch because it may have been overcooked. She said, with an attitude, to order something else because it would be the same brown fries. I replied that it shouldn't be the case because we have had their fries before. She goes to the kitchen and with the door WIDE OPEN, she and the kitchen staff are laughing and badmouthing me in Mandarin about me. Obviously it became super awkward and confusing.
The second batch was drenched in grease (so disgusting). As I'm dabbing the oil off the fries for my kids, the two waitress continue giggling and whispering towards my direction and look away when I return the eye exchange. It got increasingly uncomfortable so I asked them if something was wrong with the new fries? BAM! That's when the old man appeared out of nowhere to start yelling that just because I'm a regular doesn't mean I can be critical of his food....(um WHAT?!). Isn't it bc I AM a regular that he can show a little grace or patience for a gentle feedback?
Ok, seriously keep in mind that I merely asked for new fries. These people are insane. This reminds me...this is the same old man that used to implore child labor, which is sad to see and actually why we didn't go for a while. They don't care about customers or the food. He knew the fries were overcooked... the soggy part is unexplainable though. The chicken melt lacked taste, and btw, it's so gross that the bathrooms sit directly in front of some tables. Ambiance? Clear view of the toilets and sounds of flushing as you eat.
Shame on them to put on theatrics and yell at customers. I should add that the rude old man then went on a crazy rant to VENT to the other patrons about me, right in front of me. Shocked and threatened is definitely the feeling there. He had the whole place to gang up on me so he can feel superior. World class restaurant, y'all.
Tip, do not provide negative feedback. They can't handle it. Or save yourself some dignity (and money) and don't eat there.
