Ordered the sugarbacon, grilled cheese, and the steak and eggs. The sugarbacon was very tasty. I really liked the peach sambal. The grilled cheese sandwich was ok. The fries were breaded. They are not my favorite style of fries. The steak and eggs were not great at all. I ordered over easy, and half the yolk was overdone. The potatoes were good. The problem was the steak. I ordered medium. The steak came out rare to medium rare. It was tough, too. I had a hard time cutting my steak and a harder time chewing it. I also do not like being asked to cut my steak to check for temperature. I will say that their customer service is great. The manager quickly apologized for the low quality steak and did not charge me for it. In fact, he felt so bad about the experience he comped the entire meal, even though I asked him not to. The waitress was good, and we made sure to tip her properly. I did like the look and atmosphere of the place. The tables and menus were a bit sticky, though.

We had a great experience! The quality of the food was outstanding—from the perfectly cooked steak to the flavorful sides and the delicious dessert. What truly made the visit memorable, though, was the exceptional service provided by Lindsey. It wasn’t your typical waiter interaction; she was attentive, proactive, and genuinely warm. Her frequent check-ins and sincere smile made us feel truly welcome and at ease. Kudos to Lindsey for elevating the entire experience. Definitely a place we’ll remember and return to!

From the moment we pulled up, Sugarbacon had a vibe. The lighting, the setup, and the dry-aged meat display at the front let us know we were in for something solid. Inside, the energy was warm and laid-back. It’s the kind of place that knows it’s good but doesn’t have to brag. The neon sign over the open kitchen, the booths, and the lighting all worked together perfectly. Let’s talk food. We went in hungry and left impressed. The Tomahawk Ribeye board was a beast in the best way. It was perfectly cooked, sliced, and served with a lineup of sauces that took it over the top. The Brussels sprouts were crispy with just the right tang. The meatballs over grits brought comfort food to a whole new level. The pan-seared fish was clean, flaky, and paired with mashed potatoes that didn’t need any help. Dessert came out with candles, and I appreciated the anniversary love. It was a thick chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries and custard. Rich but not overly sweet. Shoutout to our server Tony. He was professional, personable, and made the whole experience better. Never had to ask twice for anything, and his timing was perfect. And here’s the kicker. The GM, Larry, came over to check in on us. We had a great conversation, tossed out a few ideas, and joked that we’d be back in a couple of weeks to see if he puts us on payroll. He laughed, but we’ll see. All around, this place delivered. It’s got the kind of energy and food that makes you want to come back before you even leave the parking lot

It’s been probably 10+ years since we were back at Sugarbacon and I wish we would have gone back sooner. We decided to stop for happy hour since we were up in McKinney and we are so glad we did. Who can beat a $4 old fashioned and $5 appetizers! Daniel, the bartender was very attentive and engaging and the manager even stopped by to say hello. A great place to enjoy happy hour 4-6pm or dinner. We will be returning again soon.

Went to Sugar Bacon tonight with friends. Was told about their happy hour. It was AMAZING!!!!! Crab cakes, fried tomatoes, meatballs, deviled eggs, pork belly, sugar bacon. Plus great drink specials! We enjoyed it all, Lucas was a great server bar tender and we enjoyed Hank who was very kind and social with us! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful place! Took my husband here tonight for his birthday. Our waiter Hank was absolutely awesome! The food is incredibly delicious! This was our first time and we are so thrilled with the entire experience!

We had a fantastic experience at Sugarbacon! Our server, Marissa, was incredibly pleasant and kind, making our visit even more enjoyable. We started with the Ménage à Pork appetizer, which was delicious and generously portioned. For our entrées, the chicken sandwich and fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes were both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife had the risotto and scallops, which were expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. Every dish was well-portioned and thoughtfully crafted. We’ll definitely be back for another great meal!

Yelp
This restaurant is super cute and spacious. It wasn't packed on a Friday night which was surprising since it's located in downtown McKinney. Our server was excellent and very efficient. Our food was kind of a mixed bag. For example, my friend ordered one of the steak options and it came with just mashed potato (which he said wasn't good- and felt like it lacked a vegetable). Second example- my chicken sandwich was quite likely the best chicken sandwich I've ever had but the fries were really basic for being truffle fries. Appetizers: ménage a hog- delish Hushpuppies- delish Chicken sandwich- phenomenal Truffle fries- mid at best Scallops- 10/10 not a fan. It could have been a bad day. I didn't even try the scallop. My friend did and I actually just tried the risotto which was way too watery and lacking in flavor. While this place was good, they didn't really stick to the bacon theme throughout the menu. There is so much opportunity to add bacon to all options.

Yelp
Let me start with I don't do bad reviews, typically I just won't go back. Today was my second time coming here. We went a month ago with a party of 10 (we had a reservation) and we were told that the kitchen is backed up despite the place looking only 40% full. We waited almost TWO hours for food. Apology after apology and no food. They told us this doesn't ever happen, we finally got our food and it actually was pretty good. Fast forward to today. I went to celebrate my birthday with my family, we thought we would give them another try. (Again with a reservation) SAME THINg happened. Except it was worse. We ordered biscuits to start and it took 30 minutes. My poor kids were starving. A full hour went by and the same excuse! The manager was apologetic at first and then got defensive that "well you guys are a party of 10" I'm sorry what? Why take a reservation if you can't handle it? The restaurant was DEAD. We went to the bathroom and the kitchen staff was not backed up, they were barely working! NO SENSE OF URGENCY. I have never walked out before, our whole family told the manager that if in 15 minutes it doesn't come out we are leaving. (He kept telling us 5 more minutes 8 times) So after waiting now and hour and a half for no food we finally decided to leave. As we were leaving we had to flag someone down to pay for our drinks and biscuits. The younger manager FINALLY told us the truth. They have had MAJOR staffing issues and couldn't handle even 50% capacity yet they were still choosing to not turn people away. Moral of the story. I wish I knew this, so I'm sharing with you, avoid this place at all costs. They don't care if you have to wait, your lucky if you get your food, don't take kids there if you do go, and most likely they will be out of a lot of food. Disorganized, unprofessional, food is below average and not worth the visit.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. The drinks were amazing! Great service along with a pretty sweet soundtrack in the background. Definitely returning!

Yelp
Came here for brunch with my daughter. The service was good, but the menu was limited. It took awhile for us to get our foods, too. My daughter ordered steak and eggs (no cheese), and I ordered the veggie omelet with fruits on the side. The steak had zero flavor, and the omelet as well. The waitress brought another side of eggs for my daughter because she couldn't remember if cheese were wanted. When I say zero flavor, I mean zilch. My daughter who doesn't cook said she's positive she can cook a better steak. Presentation was beautiful. We won't be back.

Yelp
I made a reservation at sugarbacon to celebrate a birthday. I drove 30 minutes on the tollway to get there. Only for Larry to tell me that they're closed for an event their system didn't block it off the event correctly. So the fact that I made a reservation and drove 30 minutes on the tolway to get there... only to turn me away when he got there.... he didn't even offer a comped meal... He said next time he'd give me 1 free drink. A pitiful offer from. Larry also tried to give a pitiful excuse saying he called us. I checked my phone and I had 0 voivemails from him. We had 1 missed call 17 minutes before our reservation began. We were already over halfway there on the TOLLWAY and DRIVING at that time. Larry didn't even bother to leave a voice-mail and cancel the reservation. I originally made the reservation 30 HOURS PRIOR. And Larry waited until 17 minutes before the reservation began. What Larry SHOULD HAVE DONE was CANCELED THE RESERVATION IN ADVANCE WITH A NOTE. He had 30 hours to do so. Larry's pitiful excuse that he tried to call 1 time 17 minutes prior to a reservation that was made 30 hours in advance was a pitiful excuse. He could have at least offered a free meal next time since we had already driven all way over there since he didn't notify in advance and waited until 17 minutes before the reservation to try to call Don't waste your time or money going here. ON TOP OF THAT, Larry didn't even bother to cancel tbe reservation, so I was unable to make a reservation anywhere else, because opentable showed I had a current reservation with them. So not only did they ruin my experience there, and ruin our birthday party, they prevented us from making another reservation elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money going here. Awful management, awful experience, doesn't take accountability, and makes pitiful excuses.

Camron J.

Yelp
Went here for drinks and oysters. The oysters were fresh and cleaned properly. However my favorite part was the Grilled chicken sandwich. I have a had a lot of chicken sandwiches but this one of the best. Great flavor cooked well and order came pretty fast. Definitely recommend and will order again

Lam B.

Yelp
We went here when there was only one other table in the restaurant. It took about 40 minutes for the food to come out. The Short Ribs, Tacos, and Shrimp and Grits, and Pork Belly were not good. Fries were okay but not enough Parmesan flavor. The Brussel Sprouts was the best dish. I didn't think it needed the mascarpone cheese but it sure was different. Service was suuuuuper slow even to bring the check. Never again.

Jaci G.

Yelp
This was our first time here. We had a great time for brunch! We didn't realize the had a brunch and dinner service and we came ten minutes before dinner service. Both had great selections and it all came out in a timely manner. Love the way the seating was arranged and loved the decor. Would love to come back when it's not 110° out to sit on the patio!

Yelp
This place is very nice. Not too noisy or quiet, with just enough of an intimate vibe to make it a great date night experience. Staff were very pleasant and prompt. Food was fantastic. Great location in the cute town of McKinney.

Alexandria G.

Yelp
The service is beyond impeccable!! If you want a fabulous experience ask to be in Olivia's sections aside from her lovely charisma and excellent service she will ensure you have a great time and leave with a smile and a full stomach !

Jennifer S.

Yelp
We had brunch here and were able to sit outside on a beautiful spring day. Food was very good. The mimosa flight was great. Staff was attentive. Will visit again.

Michael S.

Yelp
Disappointed. We've eaten there before and had a much better experience. I can't say whether this is a one time thing or it is going downhill. On the positive side, the brussels sprouts were amazing, the short ribs sandwich was very good and the truffle fries were definitely worth coming back for. Unfortunately on the negative side the deviled eggs were not very tasty and the signature pork belly was mediocre. I remember it from the last time we were there and it was much better. The worst thing was we called ahead and they said they weren't very busy and didn't have a waiting line when we got there. Indeed they weren't busy, but we waited over an hour for our food. The waiter apologized and said they were having issues in the kitchen. If I eat there again, I think we'll just have the brussels sprouts for takeout.

Matt P.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. No idea why the rating is so low. Worth coming here for sure!

Parris T.

Yelp
Made reservations for our weekly date night. It was average. Hubby got the Wagyu ribeye and I got the chicken sandwich. Both were cooked well. Service was amazing! The stunning display of the drinks was worth the wait!

Harold B.

Yelp
So happy we made the journey North to McKinney this morning - Sugarbacon did not disappoint. Our server, Daniel, was great. Answered all our questions with ease. We started with mimosas and Sugarbacon - which isn't bacon at all! Perfectly cooked pieces of pork belly in a watermelon chutney, crispy edges and melt in your mouth pork belly, beautifully garnished - here's a tip, don't cut the pieces, think sushi, all the flavors meld together in your mouth, truly a work of art. We then had the newly added to their menu brunch burger and the pulled-pork Benedict - both were amazing. Perfectly cooked eggs (poached on the Benny and an over easy fried egg on the burger), sauces on both were delicious. They really knocked it out of the park - we will be back for sure!

Aisha M.

Yelp
We tried this place as it was a recommendation from a friend. There was ample seating and we sat outside on the patio as it was a beautiful day. Our server was very nice. He took our order fast and made some recommendations. We started with the deviled eggs, and ordered the brunch burger and ribeye and eggs as our meals. We also ordered mimosas they were delicious. The deviled eggs came out quickly, but they were so salty. The burger and truffle fries were amazing. The ribeye and steak was pretty bland plus they didn't have steak sauce. Also it took forever for our food to come out. There was not a lot of people in the restaurant so we were confused. The waiter apologized several times. Overall the menu looked pretty good so we would go back to try.

David P.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday specifically for the Sugar bacon, sadly they had run out!!! which is odd considering 1. It's the restaurants namesake and 2. it's listed as a popular item here on yelp, so it's maddening how a restaurant can run out of a popular item such as this, but anyway...... Ordered the Ribeye tacos and Grilled Bone-in pork chop, the Pork chop was fine, nothing to write home about, like i said it was fine, but the Ribeye tacos on the other hand were bland, the flavor that stood out the most was the sour cream placed on top, i saw the beef, but i couldn't taste it and if there was feta cheese I didn't taste that either. I did have a speciality cocktail, i believe it was Fools Gold or Honey Gold (something like that) and I didn't taste either the honey or lemon that was supposed to be in it, the alcohol to non-alcaholic ingredient ratio was way off and simply tasted like the main ingredient out of the bottle. Obviously not impressed with this place and I try to support non-chains but this is a miss and i will not be coming back and I won't be recommending this to anyone.

Shawna G.

Yelp
Their menu is very limited. The food is average. Service was great. Ambiance nice but it was a bit cool where we sat inside.

Sterling W.

Yelp
Went for brunch, they were not busy. We were seated and brought water. We decided on the sugar bacon, truffle fries, brussel sprouts and chicken & waffles. Gave our order, waiter didn't write it down. Left, came back because he couldn't remember our order. Had another waiter walking around with white tape holding the sole of his shoe on. Wife used the restroom and had to find someone to address the condition (it was bad), the look she got from the waitress was almost like, "clean it yourself ", rather put off by it. Bartender was standing on the back bar doing inventory, should have used a ladder. Food was good, nothing spectacular however the cold brew manhattan was amazing. Best thing we had. It's overpriced for the food and the service was lacking.

Helene S.

Yelp
If you're in McKinney (north of Dallas), stop by this amazing restaurant and ask for Denzel. Want to elevate your old fashioned, try it smokey! And definitely order the Sugarbacon appetizer; it's a party in your mouth!

Melinda A.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meal. We ordered the scallops with cream corn and it was absolutely delicious. My son had the dry age Tomahawk steak. He enjoyed it. A little pricey for a 16 year old boy but he deserved it for his birthday. The steak was so tender and juicy. My husband had the dry aged NY strip and he said the same thing about his steak. Very juice and cooked just as he asked. Our waitress was awesome. If you are looking a neat place for dinner than I would suggest Sugarbacon.

Samuel L.

Yelp
Delicious food, awesome drinks, cozy patio that looks over old downtown McKinney. Love the vibes.

Shweta B.

Yelp
We went here for the weekend brunch- the service was very warm and friendly, the food was absolutely delicious (but quite heavy), the ambience was lovely. I had the frittata which was delicious but a LOT of food (4 eggs!). The cheesy grits, pulled pork benedict, and french toast were all fantastic. Will definitely go back!

Debbie S.

Yelp
The waiter was nice and polite but it took over an hour to get our food. The deviled eggs were awful, all you could taste was mustard. The bacon was cold and limp. The Brussels sprouts were the highlight of all the food we ordered. We won't be back.

Ninoldar N.

Yelp
It was okay. We came there on a Sunday evening when it was not that busy and yet it still took over an hour for our food to come out after waiting an additional 30 minutes for our server to come back and take the order l. Then the food was over cooked and we constantly had to find our server because they kept forgetting our drinks and refills after we were asking for them constantly and forgotten sauces on everyone's order. Food was subpar at the very best as well. Ambiance was cool but probably won't be coming back.

Brad S.

Yelp
I ate here a few times this week, had a few different dishes. The shrimp linguine was good but nothing special. I don't recommend the short rib.Mine was cold in some spots and very bland. The meal lacked a flavor profile. The service depends on the server you get. One server was great. She was very attentive and took great care of us. The next server no so much. That definitely affected the experience. Not sure I will be coming back after the short rib experience.

Tara G.

Yelp
Great place in McKinney for a patio lunch. Food is great and service too. We split the sugar bacon and the shrimp and grits. I had the blanco sangria and my husband had the bee sting. He said it was good but a small drink for 11.00. The 2 of us total 60.00 without the tip. But I would definitely go again.

Ricardo D.

Yelp
Let's start with we had a very bad service experience. We went for Sunday brunch and our beverages took a long time to arrive. After 30 min of waiting for our food, our chicken tenders were RAW.... My husband cut into them and they were entirely pink on the inside. This would have given our 3 year old food poisoning for sure if he ate even one bite. Our waitress even asked if we wanted to keep the Mac n cheese that was on the same plate as the raw chicken. We sent it back to the kitchen and were still waiting for our two other adult plates that never arrived. We cancelled our order entirely and left. This was absolutely unacceptable and a terrible family experience.

Zabby D.

Yelp
Super good food with exceptional service! Sat outside on the patio! Be sure to make a reservation if you want indoor seating during busy times! We love it outside so all was grand. Try all the cocktails, they are all delish. Not a bad dish in the house. It is a bit pricey, but you also get what you pay for. They do military discount as well.

Danny S.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this place out. But after waiting for 15 minutes and not getting any service, it was time to go. Nobody really cared either. Management must have been on break.

Blaire L.

Yelp
Great experience and food overall! We started with the Sugarbacon appetizer.... Aka pork belly and of course, YUM! We shared entrees; we ordered the short rib - very very good and tender - and the Wagyu Filet - which was good, but nothing too wow about it. We had a side of Mac and Cheese and it was eh, wouldn't get next time. Service was great and food came out timely! No complaints and would come back again.

ViJay K.

Yelp
If you park out front watch the curb. It's very high. You could hit the bottom of your door. I warned my wife and of course you can guess what happens next. The menu was limited for Father's Day and I was surprised there were no steaks options available. They even had a showcase up front of aged steaks. What father doesn't want steak? I was sad. Lol it was quickly made up for with spot on service from Kelsey. She made us (toddler included) feel at home. I ordered the Smokey Old Fashion. It was so smooth and slightly refreshing. Usually you don't hear this type of cocktail, "quenching your thirst"...at least for me. It was delivered table side by the bartenders. When they poured it, it was like liquid nitrogen smoke was flowing into my glass. It was actually the 'Smokey' part and it had a cigar tobacco scent with some other notes. It was pleasant and not stinky. You know how when you caught a whiff of someone smoking a cigar and its horrible? This one was the polar opposite. It was very pleasant. The staff was very positive, upbeat and really made our time enjoyable. Food was very delicious and portions were enough to not make you sleepy. I settled on the short rib since my father-in-law ordered one. It was no disappointment and they took good of us. There was live music too. We enjoyed our visit! Next time maybe granni will come out. I think she'd like this place too.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Saturday Brunch What a sweet find...traveling sends me on a mission for unique finds and SugarBacon checked all the boxes! I will have to venture back to McKinney to try out the dinner options. The Line up: Sugar Bacon Bloody " experimental" Hibiscus margarita (not on the menu) Pull pork eggs Benedict Ribeye and eggs (Table Favorite w/3 orders) SugarBacon Burger

Chris O.

Yelp
Don't put duck on the menu if the restaurant isn't going to purchase duck to serve when ordered. They didn't seem to care about the inconvenience as it was "coming off the menu tomorrow" but no mention of this when we were seated, 86'ed on the special board, blacked out on the menu, or marked behind the bar. Sadly disappointed as this was a craving for the past month. Nothing was done to make the issue a none issue.

Vishal A.

Yelp
Decided to meet up with a friend to grab some food for the first time in McKinney. The food overall was delicious and the atmosphere just added to it. Started off with the Sugarbacon which had me a little nervous because I was thinking it was going to just be bacon which I'm not a fan of but it was some incredibly well cooked pork belly with a nice crispy exterior and a nice tender center bursting with flavor! The bee sting was a nice pairing too. For mains I went with the pork chop which was nicely cooked and served with a delicious peppercorn sauce. However, I wasn't a fan of the cauliflower rice it came with because it tasted a little too earthy and that was a bit overwhelming. Other than that the food was delicious and if you're in the area looking for food, this is a great option! P.S. Paige was an absolutely lovely server and if you do swing by, make sure to ask for her!

Nicole W.

Yelp
We dined here for Mother's Day! This was our first time here. Thankfully we did have reservations because they were turning away those that didn't have one or offering them seating at the bar. They even have out roses to the moms... nice touch. They did have a set menu for Mother's Day. I had checked out the menu online before leaving home and was going to get the Short Ribs but they sure not on the menu...bummer!! I believe the server said they were in the process of updating their menu but it should be brought back. We ordered the Sugarbacon as an appetizer. I got the Pork Chop, hubby Salmon, and kiddos - cheeseburger & macaroni and cheese. I also ordered their special Mother's Day drink which was tasty. I really enjoyed the Sugarbacon... kiddos even ate some but mostly the watermelon, lol. Everyone enjoyed their meals... service was good. No complaints!!

Lauren W.

Yelp
Such a fun restaurant in a cute area of town! The server was very knowledgeable & attentive. I got the prime rib tacos & they were a great balance of spices to natural meat flavors from the steak. As much as I'd hate to burst your bubble, when it comes to the purple haze- go ahead pop it. It's tons of fun and a stellar cocktail.

Aaron G.

Yelp
Steaks were meh. Way way undercooked and had to be sent back to fix twice. Won't be going back. Service was good but food VERY average.

Demi A.

Yelp
I really like Sugarbacon, the one other time I have been here was for brunch. This particular time we bellied up to the bar to have some food and drinks. To start, a couple of mimosas. For entrée I ordered the Short Rib which comes with Mashed potatoes, red wine sauce, chives. The short rib was really tender and flavorful and the red wine sauce was a nice touch to add to the juiciness to "sop" up with your mashed potatoes. Also ordered was the Long Bone Pork Chop-Peach reduction, frisée salad, candied pecan. Both dishes were a hit, my only qualm would be I would've liked my mashed potatoes with a little more seasoning and fluffiness.

Christian C.

Yelp
This is a must restaurant in downtown McKinney! Upon arrival the hostesses were pleasant and very friendly. We were seated at a high top table in the bar area, the server came over and she was phenomenal! She had great recommendations and thoughts for us. The sugarbacon appetizer is A MUST! Devil eggs were ok but looked nothing like what the website showed. Steak was cooked perfectly and the ribeye tacos were great! Bar was slow with our drinks but over all very good. So, service 5 out of 5 and food 4.5 out of 5. Overall 5!

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night for dinner and had such a great experience! I've only come one other time before during brunch so I was excited to be able to try their dinner menu which is extensive and has many options. We started off with the ham and cheese board, grilled gulf oysters, sugarbacon, and pork spare ribs for our appetizers. (Yes, our group was hungry!) The ham and cheese board was huge and had a variety of cheeses, fruits, meats, spreads, and pickled veggies and is great for sharing. The grilled gulf oysters were very tasty and topped with smoked monterrey jack cheese, cilantro, and chives. Great option if you like oysters! The sugarbacon was also very delicious and the huge chunks of smoked pork belly and watermelon was an unusual pair that worked surprisingly very well. The pork spare ribs were super tender and had a nice peach-bourbon glaze on it with a side of pickles. Very tasty and probably could've eaten another order of this. For my entree, I went with the sea scallops which came with creamed corn sauce and cilantro crema. The scallops were seasoned and cooked perfectly! The rest of my table ordered the short ribs, long bone porkchop, and crawfish pot pie. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We finished our meal off with a hummingbird cake which has marinated pineapple, banana cream, and raspberries. It was light and refreshing and a great palate cleanser. Overall, we had such an amazing experience here with great service. We will definitely be back here again!

Yelp
We have been waiting to try this place for two years, and finally went it was such a disappointing experience. Will start with a good, the short ribs and fillet were very good. Their namesake, sugar bacon was average at best of nowhere near what it look like on the picture. The avocado toast was terrible. We got a ribeye and it was really thin and not much better than a TV Salisbury steak. The part that was the most frustrating is that for the $28 short rib you can substitute grits for the mashed potatoes but the $56 ribeye, no that wasn't possible. Very nice interior but we won't be visiting there again

Yelp
1st time we came here we really enjoyed everything but we have been back two times since and food and service seems to have diminished. Last time we didn't get seated for 30 min after our reservation time along with cold food and it wasn't that busy

Yelp
Great food and great service! Met my parents there and they really enjoyed it. We will certainly be back.

Yelp
Had dinner on 1/21/23 at this restaurant. Very disappointing after hearing some good things. Started with my wife's glass of wine, $13 for a glass of Meomi that was at best a 3oz pour and more like 2oz. Took 20 minutes to get our sugar bacon appetizer and we ordered our meal at the same time and that came out another 20 minutes after the appetizer. Our waiter seemed annoyed when we asked for ice for our water and when we asked for salt and pepper for the table. Pork Chop was dry and cold and ribeye tacos were over cooked and well done is ruining a ribeye Several times I saw our waiter just standing at hostess stand or bar chatting away while water or drinks could have used a refill. Overall decent atmosphere but very disappointed in service and quality of food.

Yelp
The sugarbacon appetizer was good. My hub didn't like the smoky chipotle sauce. The drinks were good. Only came in to try the appetizer this time.

Yelp
Had reservations via open table for tonight (Saturday) but not very crowded at all. Nice atmosphere. Ordered the charcuterie to start. It was missing hard cheese in our opinion and the server said it was normally a part of it. We attempted to order $125 bottle of Stags Leap Cabernet but they were out. Tried ordering $96 Prisoner: out. Ordered a dry aged rib eye Oscar style medium rare that my son was sharing with his gf and a regular rib eye medium. The steaks came out with the regular rib eye split in two totally rare on two plates... ‍ The dry aged rib eye which was shown to our on before cooked was medium with only a hot pink center (medium to well done The waiter was nice and offered to take the two (one rib eye split) rare steaks back and fix it.... He returned with them pushed together. Still rare. ‍ He went and got the manager (we didn't ask for this) - who offered us a free dessert. We said we weren't interested but our 17 year old at home would probably eat it. I had ordered the rib eye tacos and the meat was well done and chewy. I ate one of the three, The only thing worth the money paid in my humble opinion was the side of Mac n cheese. The truffle fries are good too but only if you really like truffle oil. No moderation of flavor there & just okay in my opinion. I might even enjoy smash burgers truffle fries more than these. So for higher end dinning.... I would skip. If going for cocktails, and Mac n cheese- maybe, I do t foresee us ever trying it again. 3 stars bc it was clean, nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Yelp
My friend and I arrived for a late lunch to an almost empty dining room. Two booths were occupied, and the host tried to squeeze us in the middle booth while the rest of the place was empty. We asked to be seated where we have more room and waited for a slow server. The lunch menu is sparse, so I decided to try the short rib sandwich. The meat was not tender, but what annoyed me was that the sandwich was not evenly made. I cut my sandwich in half. The first half had all the meat while the other half did not. Does not seem like a proper sandwich. The salmon in my friend's salmon salad was shredded like canned tuna rather than a piece of salmon. Seemed a little odd. Overall meh.

Yelp
this place is terrible and go out of business six months after they get in. Open in downtown like when they didn't even last year.
