Fresh Sugar Cane juice with light lime. It was so good and fresh and tasty. Sugar cane juice is something you cant pass on if you can find some near you. It was a very large cup also

Google
Super refreshing on ANY day. After my meal I decided to walk around and burn some calories and stumbled across this place. I’m happy I did because it was just what I needed after my delicious meal. My soul was happy after ingesting this delicious sugar cane juice ! The owner was very nice, as well as the girl preparing my drink. Met a guy out front and chatted to him as well. I’ll be back, thank you guys !

Brent Moseng

Google
So unique. The drink and a not super sweet and is refreshing. You can mix other fruit flavors with it! Easy to order as just a window in side walk. Juice is pressed fresh. Really enjoyed experience. Please stop and try it!!!

Google
Finally, a place to get fresh nước mìa in Manhattan. 🙌🏻 I’ve been going here since it opened, and it does not disappoint! Sugarcane is pressed fresh in front of you. Options to mix in other fruit like watermelon, strawberry, kumquat, etc. for a small additional fee. I prefer without fruit, but the kumquat option is very good. There’s usually only 1 employee working, who has to take orders and fulfill them, so expect a short wait on the weekend. Take out only at a walk up window, no seating. The price feels a little steep if you’re used to buying nước mìa outside of the city, but makes sense for Manhattan considering the labor and scarcity of it. Extra charge for no ice.

Google
I love sugar cane juice and the customer service was amazing! The juice was made fresh to order and simply delicious!

Rae Rae

Google
Had it a couple of times. First few times - amazing! So sweet and refreshing. The last two times - bland and not sweet enough. How good the sugarcane juice is really depends on the batch of sugarcane they have available. YMMV. Not worth $8 for an XL cup with ice if it’s bland like the last two times I went. They should at least try their sugarcane before selling. There’s a tip jar in the front that reads “You’ll be 10x cooler if you tip me.” lol I find this laughable.

Google
Sugarcane juice in NYC!!! In a very hidden spot in the Chinese Town, Baxter st. Try the best fresh sugarcane juice in town, very refresher and 100% natural! The place is cool, takeout only, $8 for large size with ice. You have to give it a try!

Jason Zhang

Google
This has to be one of the best hidden gem spot for beverages! I used to drink loads of fresh sugarcane juice while traveling in Asia, definitely miss it a lot back here in the States. One day I just strolled by this spot in Chinatown, you had no idea how excited I was! I was recommended to try out the kumquat flavored one, absolutely delicious! I kept on forgetting to take pictures because I can't help with finishing it in one go XD EDIT, added beverage photo for my third visit

Yelp
Delicious! I drunk sugarcane at the street festival in NYC. Since then, I'm into that! 1st time I've tried here. $8 you can chose with coconuts, watermelon and pineapple....or regular. Taste great and healthy. It's very close to the canal street station. grab and go! (No inside seats and bathrooms)
google avatar

Yelp
Best fresh sugarcane juice in NY. Recommend the iced sugarcane juice with kumquat ($7). Logistics: -order from a to go window. It's attached to a restaurant. -accepts Zelle, Venmo, cash, card (with $10 minimum)

Yelp
Love this place. Customer service is always great even when they seem overwhelmed. The drinks are so good and you'll definitely want to get another one. These hit the spot in the middle of a summer night when it's hot, humid and steamy.
google avatar

Yelp
When people say hole in the wall~this little shop really fits the description. The little window at the door was basically the ordering counter. This small space housed a sugarcane machine that can juice up fresh cane sticks into a sweet refreshing drink. Got my sugarcane drink mixed with Watermelon. Didn't realize the watermelon flavor over-powered the sugarcane water- next time I'll just stick with the original flavor. Overall, a great drink spot on a hot summer's day.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Got the large sugarcane juice here with watermelon! It was about $7 and I found it super refreshing! It's a large cup of fresh sugarcane juice and event comes with a fruit topping of your choice! It came out cold and also a good amount of sweetness. Great to have a hot day and actually kind of filling as well! Super tasty and would love to go back next time I'm there

Yelp
Sugarcane Daddy was such a fun spot to visit in Chinatown! Located off the street, it was a little easy to miss because of how small and unassuming the shop is. Note that there is no interior for sitting but instead, you order and are served at a glass window, where you can see the employees feeding sticks of sugarcane into a machine press for the drinks. The drink itself is really refreshing and not artificially sweet, and you have the option of adding various fruits to customize your drink. I personally like the original flavor with just sugarcane juice. It is somewhat pricey, but given how rare fresh sugarcane juice is in NYC, I think it's definitely worth it. This is a lovely stop to add at the end of a Chinatown food tour in the summer.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday afternoon, no one there but us. Someone came to help us with after L buzzed them. Order was ready pretty quickly. Anyway ordered an XL with lime for $8. it tastes too watered down with ice so obviously it would taste better without it, but it wouldn't be worth paying $12 for it. It was just okay. Not worth the $8, didn't taste that good. My brother has been here as well and he thinks it's overpriced. I'd rather get a different drink somewhere else for the same, if not more $. Or even watermelon juice would taste better but that's my preference. I only came here since I know L likes sugarcane drinks but even he said it was just okay. He also said the lime made it taste better. Glad we tried, but wouldn't come back.

Yelp
If you know, you know :) This drink is straight fresh sugarcane, it doesn't get more pure than this. I grew up drinking this with kumquat in it, adds a light citrusy kick that's beyond refreshing, especially on a hot day. I got the XL, and while it's $8, they do not skimp on the juice. (Other places add way too much ice) Be prepared to wait if there are people ordering in front, I had two other people ordering half gallon sizes, so I waited a good 20mins before it was my turn. But trust me, it's worth it!
google avatar

Khanh D.

Yelp
Decent sugarcane juice. However, the quality depends on the day. Came twice during our recent visit to NYC and it tasted great the first day. The second day, it tasted very very watered-down.
google avatar

Angel D.

Yelp
Yum! It's always satisfying watching the sugarcane go through the machine. Got a XL and added kumquat flavoring. Super enjoyable!!

Yelp
This place has been on my list to check out when I'm in NY and I finally did! This is a small place in Chinatown that you order through a window. I got the pineapple sugar cane and it was sooo good!! I wanted to get another one after finishing it! You can taste how fresh the sugar cane is and it also had bits of pineapple pieces in it. I definitely will be coming back here whenever I'm in NY!
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
Delicious sugarcane juice made fresh in front of your eyes. Not sure where else this can be found in Manhattan. You can get a flavor added or just get it straight-up. The perfect refreshing drink on a hot day.
google avatar

Christy Y.

Yelp
Sugar cane is one of my favorite drinks! When I visited LA they had the same concept! I told my boyfriend we needed this in NYC and it finally opened. I came here on a hot summer day with my friend. No line at all! When you would like to order, you ring the bell so someone can come to help you. The employee made our drinks very quickly. Next time I go, I'll try the sugar cane with watermelon. I regret not getting that's It's a great refresher when you're thirsty!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for an afternoon refresher but don't want the extra sugar from boba or bottled drinks, Sugarcane Daddy is a small little storefront that juices fresh sugarcane and even adds fruit purée to your drink for the prettiest ig pic. It's $7 for a regular size and $1 for your choice of fruit purée (I went for red dragonfruit). They take credit cards with a $10 purchase minimum but they also take CashApp if you do not carry cash, no purchase minimum needed.
google avatar

Janet F.

Yelp
After a warm bowl of pho, right next door was Sugarcane Daddy! I've loved fresh sugarcane juice ever since I was little. (Missing HK) I was so surprised there was a store here that I needed to give it a try - even on a cold December day. $7 for a cup w/ ice. -1 star for the worker sitting in the front area asleep and didn't wake up until I knocked on the window a few times.
google avatar

Gina L.

Yelp
I'd say the price is relatively higher than that of a normal drink in the area, but based on the availability of fresh sugar cane juice in the area (aka none), it's justified. How long would if take for you to make this sugar cane juice yourself?? It's also made-to-order??? We got 2 XLs w ice ($8) of sugar cane juice with kumquats - chugged it down and was immediately sad it was gone so quickly. However, it was very delicious and quenched our thirst and sugar-craving. They also have a half gallon (~75oz) option ($30). Some quick maths: $7 for 20oz (w ice) = ?? bc amount of ice is fluctuates ?? but for continuity, $0.35/oz $10 for 20oz (w/o ice) = $0.50/oz $8 for 24 oz (w ice) = an inconsistent $0.33 $12 for 24oz (w/o ice) = $0.50/oz $30 for ~76oz (w/o ice) = $0.39/oz

Yelp
Very refreshing, I could drink this all day. I would recommend the sugarcane with kumquat. Add a nice taste of citrus. The lady was nice as well.

Briana P.

Yelp
Love this place! Whenever I'm craving sugarcane juice i literally drive all the way to the city to get it. Love the fact that you can mix flavors as well. I love it with the coconut and watermelon flavor.

Yelp
If you enjoy sugarcane drink, I suggest checking this place out. Ring the door bell to get service at the window. I ordered a sugarcane drink with a splash of dragonfruit. It was delcious. I also enjoy the kumquat one as well. That was refreshing. They offer different sizes of cups as well. You get to see your drink being made at the window which is pretty cool.
google avatar

Yelp
I appreciate the fact that adding extra flavoring is free. So I got the sugarcane drink with kumquat on it, if you are Vietnamese that is how we roll in Vietnam! The drinks are made fresh in front of you and it is 100% sugarcane.
google avatar

Tiffany G.

Yelp
I love sugarcane juice on a hot summer day. Sugarcane daddy makes it fresh, so there might be a bit of a wait, but it's totally worth it.
google avatar

Elsa C.

Yelp
Sugarcane is one of my fav drink when I was in Taiwan, I'm so glad I can find it in NYC now. It has natural sweet taste. Also got lots of benefits for your health. Sugarcane daddy also offer different flavor. I highly recommend the coconut flavor!! So refreshing!
google avatar

Karen H.

Yelp
I love sugarcane. Sugarcane Daddy makes fresh sugarcane. Definitely great to drink on hot days. They make it right in front of you. I highly recommend this place for fresh sugarcane. There are benefits of drinking sugarcane juice. Employees are nice. Come check it out. Sip sip.
google avatar

Sally W.

Yelp
I've walked by this place so many times but didn't notice until my friend pointed it out. I love sugarcane and they have so many flavors here; I got the kumquat one to try and it was good. I'll definitely be back in the summer once it gets hotter - this'll be so refreshing!
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
Came here for the fresh pressed sugarcane juice, and it was so delightful. You can really taste the difference and quality in these type of drinks compared to others. It is nicely sweet and they have specials where they can add certain fruit juices to the sugarcane juice. I tried the regular, and it was great as is. Wishing this place all the success!
google avatar

Zhexuan Z.

Yelp
I never knew that sugarcane juice was a thing. And to my surprise it is delicious and refreshing.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
It was great stumbling onto this especially when I was thirsty. This place is inside of Nha Trang Vietnamese restaurant, on the corner with its own little store front. The cane juice is freshly pressed as you order it and you can add in other juices if you like. They also give you option with or without ice for a few dollars more. The juice was great, only thing was I think they did not wash the cane or they juiced a dry end because the juice had a very grassy taste. Overall the juice was refreshing and enjoyable. Next time I might try one of the flavor add ins.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm such a sucker for fresh sugarcane juice, but it's so hard to find in NYC. Luckily I came across this stand tucked in Chinatown's Vietnamese restaurant alley (if you know, you know). They'll have green, purple, or yellow sugarcane depending on the availability and season... fun fact for me since I didn't even know there were varieties beyond the green! I've tried the purple sugarcane juice by itself (it has a deep, rich sweetness) and green sugarcane juice with watermelon (comparatively much lighter). They were both delightfully refreshing. The prices are a bit high, but understandably so considering how fresh the sugarcane is. It's certainly cheaper than a flight to Asia. And props for placing the sugarcane juicer front and center for those optimal pics/vids. Team Sugarcane Daddy is clearly on their game.
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
Super refreshing drink on a hot day! I came by yesterday to get an XL with pineapple (juice flavor was recommended by the lady who took my order). I loved it! Will definitely return to try the other flavors. $10 minimum for credit card so had to pay with cash.
google avatar

Yelp
Okay coming back from Australia got me on this sugar cane juice high and voila this place appears right before my eyes. I got this and though it's not as good as the one I had over in Aussie land, but this is still good. I wish it was cheaper like Australia, I got a whole liter with lime juice for $6.20, here only a large is $12 without any other juice. WAHHHHH WAHHH
google avatar

Vicki N.

Yelp
Omg I wish I had this place closer to me. When I visited vietnam as a kid, my mom would get me a fresh sugarcane juice every morning from the cart down the street. I was so excited to have this, especially with the kumquat mixed which is what's traditionally added. It tasted amazing and sooo refreshing on a hot day.
google avatar

Jimmy N.

Yelp
This place is featured on Instagram a lot. Glad I went and tried it out. This is pure sugar cane. No other ingredients is out in it. $8 for extra large with ice. $12 with no ice . Sugarcane Daddy is jointed with the Vietnamese restaurant next door, Nha Trang. It's definitely refreshing on a nice hot day on New York . Highly recommend it!
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
Walked past this place. What a great find. I luv sugarcane juice, but very hard to find a store that has it. Sometimes can get at a street fair if the Sugarcane Man stand is there. That's usually about $8, so the store price is similar. This is a window next to or in a Vietnamese restaurant. You order outside in the window area. It says Sugarcane Daddy on the window. There are a few flavors including coconut. It does enhance the flavor, but actually sugarcane juice is great on its own. This one is great especially on a nice hot day.
google avatar

Yelp
Want a refreshing drink that's not overly sweet? Check this place out! What we got: Sugar cane juice with watermelon Sugar cane juice with kumquat The drink isn't just refreshing, but it's freshly squeezed! You can see them juicing the sugar cane to make your drink! If you want to add a flavor of juice and are debating between watermelon and kumquat, go for the watermelon!
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
Saw this shop open up a while ago but didn't want to deal with the queue when I've walked past. Finally I was able to hit it up and was happy with the results. I will preface this by saying I've never had sugarcane drinks before or been a fan of sweet tea. It was, however, pretty interesting to see the workers cut the sugar cane and grind it. You choose an additional flavor of juice to put on top and then sip away! The day I went they had watermelon as a special and pineapple and kumquat left as they had already sold out of dragonfruit. The sugarcane drink is sweet as you'd expect and slightly like the consistency of coconut water as opposed to an aloe drink (bear with me I'm trying to have this make sense). The added juice makes the drinks very pretty but only adds a background of flavor to the sugarcane drink itself. Overall not a bad drink and it is refreshing on a hot day especially as the ice melts and you continue to have a wonderful tasty drink that goes on and on.
google avatar

Yelp
Came across Fresh Canes while just walking through Chinatown. The prices are very reasonable for a solid cup of fresh sugarcane juice. They offer different flavors as well but I decided to go for the classic, just sugarcane. It took less than 5 minutes and each one was made to order. You can actually see them put the sugarcane into the machine on the right (under the "Sugarcane Daddy" sign). It's a great refreshing drink to have. Not too sweet and brings me back to drinking this when I was younger.

Yelp
**Cliffnotes: I gave this place a 4/5 bc while the service was good and I got my made-to-order drink asap, I'm NAWT a fan of sugarcane juice. It was gross but I lied to the cashier and said it was "sooo good". It was aight and the more I sipped it- thinking it would grow me- the less it grew on me.** Drink: 1/5 ONLY because I've never had sugarcane juice before and I thought that it would be like lemonade made with liquid sugar cane (yk it would be like liquid sugar) and it wasn't. It had a very distinct flavor that left its mark until I washed it away with something else. I won't discourage anyone from trying this bc everyone's palate is different but it's a no for me. I got it with a shot of dragonfruit juice which was like an extra .50-$1.0 which wasn't bad but the flavor of the sugar cane took away from the dragon fruit. Service: 5/5 The guy attending the stall was very nice and personable. Again, asked me how it was and I lied to that man (I'm sorry bro). And that was that. It's a no frills, in and out window. There's not much to be done unless he juggles the cups like a Miami bartender....unnecessary so that's all I gotta say about the service lol. *it was nice to try something different. Can't say I'll be back tho. Thank you for the service! God bless the team!

Albert K.

Yelp
Incredibly natural tasting and good, without being overly sugarly. No complaints at all. Note that it's part of a Vietnamese restaurant.
google avatar

Natalie K.

Yelp
Perfectly fresh sugar cane juice in Chinatown NYC! Freshly squeezed in front of your eyes- just pure juice. They have great flavor additions such as ginger, watermelon and lemon. I love the spicy kick the ginger gives it ! Very refreshing and great taste. Vegan and dairy free ! Never drink it from a packet or can again.
google avatar

Danny K.

Yelp
Stopped by here to taste how good the sugarcane drinks are, and it wasn't bad but was not mind blowing. I ordered 1/2 Sugarcane and 1/2 Coconut Juice. The good: The juice was refreshing, but I would order only Sugarcane next time. The bad: I was hoping for more of a sugarcane taste, but the coconut taste was very overpowering. I didn't think the coconut taste would mask most of the sugarcane flavor. Overall, the spot is not bad but does not have the wow factor I expected after reading all the reviews.
google avatar

Sharm S.

Yelp
My friend brought me to this awesome place that makes fresh pressed sugar cane while you watch! We watched him cut the sugar cane, press it and pour it into our cups - nothing added. It was so fresh, colorful and refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try it again on a hot summer day! The owner is really awesome and I love supporting small businesses. If you are in Chinatown this is a definite must-do! Open now with safety measures in place!
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Sugarcane Daddy is a storefront window where you order from the street. There is a bench in front if you want to sit down to enjoy your drink. The sugarcane drink is made fresh from real sugarcane and can be mixed with some other fruit juice. We had a sugarcane drink with lemon. The drink was not very sweet and they put in the perfect amount of lemon juice so that it would not overtake the sugarcane or make it sour. Good refreshing drink, but a bit costly.
google avatar

Natasha D.

Yelp
I never knew that sugarcane juice was a thing until a friend introduced me to it in Atlanta. She lives outside NYC and recently discovered this place, and I knew we had to go on a recent trip up north. I don't have much to compare it to, but what I can say is that it's so refreshing without being overly sweet... kind of like coconut water. I loved that they had the pressing machine right out front and you could see how they were extracting the juice. There's not really any place to sit, so this is more of a grab and go experience. We took ours and strolled down to the Brooklyn Bridge to enjoy.
google avatar

Araceli A.

Yelp
Best drink everrrr. I paired it with kumquat to balance the sweet but I want to try it with coconut. They juice all of the ingredients right in front of you. Bring cash!!! They don't accept card for purchases under $10.
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Craving fresh sugarcane juice? Feeling thirsty and healthy? Come to Sugarcane Daddy :) Sugarcane Daddy is a tiny booth, located next to a Vietnamese restaurant. Friendly staff! We ordered a regular Kumquat Sugarcane juice, $7. So good, so refreshing! Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
This was definitely the best sugarcane juicery my bf and I have tried. It ruined our enjoyment of sugarcane back home since nothing compares. Their sugarcane is well kept as to not ferment the sticks, and they juice it immediately after you place an order, which is definitely why the juice tastes so fresh! We came upon this place towards the end of our trip and though we wish we found it earlier, we made it worth it by coming everyday! The service was great and the staff were super friendly. We even met the owner and he was so happy to hear that we like their juicery company more so than the ones at home!

Rachel P.

Yelp
Drinks are great here but the service of some employees is BAD. Came at 7:35PM . Was the only person there waiting to order. Was approached finally at 7:37PM to order. Waited about 5 min for my order after they were finishing up another customers. Got my drink finally at 7:42PM. Was about to leave when I took a sip and it tasted really off. I realized the female (kinda heavier girl with bangs/ highlights) who took my order forgot the lime... Had to wait in line another 2 min to finally tell her "I think you forgot the lime in my drink" and she responds with "oh yeah it's just we're closing soon so.." and I stare at her waiting for her to offer to add the lime. She stares at me and says "did you want me to add the limes? Sorry but we're closing soon so that's why I didn't add them." I respond and say yes please add the lime... So confused why she kept saying she was closing soon as if I was bothering her to come back and ask for lime. Keep in mind I was staring at the steel canister that was holding a bunch of cut up limes/lemons so it's not like it would have taken much of her time. Seemed like she was just so annoyed I was there when I literally arrived there at 7:35PM. They close at 8PM . I never show up anywhere 10 min before closing out of courtesy. But she was bothered I asked her to add the limes in even though that's what I originally asked for... Have had other employees there who are kind as helpful. You're open till 8PM . There's no reason to be offended someone who came at 7:35, and you made their drink wrong, to get annoyed when they asked for it corrected . Your repeated excuse is "Sorry but we're closing soon "...?

Vicky W.

Yelp
Does it look different? The one on the right looks dirty, and there are dirty things in it. When I got it, I felt something was wrong, so I wanted to change it, but they refused me. I took a sip, which was bitter and 7 dollars was thrown into the trash can.so bad

Yelp
In a small little booth tucked between 2 vietnamese pho shops, I almost missed this place! You basically choose sugarcane juice and you had add any other type of juice for free. Decent size for the price, definitely refreshing to have on a hot humid NYC day. You get to see them make the sugarcane in front so you know it's fresh! Yum! Definitely recommend if you want something different.
