Where to Eat and Drink in Gatlinburg, Tennessee | Eater Nashville

"Built from local barn wood, the winery focuses on local history and heritage and is a member of the Rocky Top Wine Trail. The best-selling wine is the Elmont made from loganberries paying homage to the nearby Appalachian logging community situated in the Little River Valley. While many clamor for the plentiful fruity wines made here, more traditional ones like the 1802 dry red hit discerning palates as well. The family-friendly winery offers free daily tastings for those 21-years-old and up."

This was stop #3 on our Gatlinburg Wine Tour. This was BY FAR the best stop of the tour. Situated at the end of the strip in Old Gatlinburg, it was much less crowded and a much nicer facility that the others in the main drag of the strip. The place was decorated tastefully, it was well lit, and very clean. You can see the fermenting tanks in the back of the facility.... That right there made it stand out from the rest. It had a more charming and sofisticated feel to it. But what truly separates it from the others it the lounging area. Three fire pits, plenty of seating, and live music!!! It was so nice....so peaceful it was amazing. On top of the tasting, we had a peach sangria slushy and it was might tasty. Do yourself a favor and visit this place.

The best place in Gatlinburg!!! Old mountain is a little further from the busy area of the strip but SOOO worth the extra walk! The drinks are amazing, the staff is super friendly!!! Live music and a patio to sit on!! It’s a must go!! I came for my bachelorette trip and the manager ordered me a cocktail on him! Such great hospitality, we will definitely be back when we come back to town!!!

We had the best time with Poppop Frank! The absolute best on the wine tour! He was super informative and absolutely hilarious — made the whole experience so much fun. The wine was fantastic (we couldn’t resist and ended up buying a ton of wine and cider). Highly recommend stopping in and asking for Frank — you won’t be disappointed!

First try and must say it was a wonderful experience. Didn't like everything, but did find a couple of things I liked. Amanda was wonderful! Friendly and knowledgeable! She made our experience even better and totally enjoyable! You should try the place and I hope you are lucky enough to get Amanda to help you with your tasting and purchases.

We had such a great experience at Old Mountain Wine Company thanks to Amanda and Missy! They were incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and made the whole tasting so enjoyable. They went above and beyond to make my family and our dog, Goose feel completely at home and like we were visiting with old friends. They even brought Goose ice, water, and a dog biscuit, which was such a sweet, thoughtful touch. The wine was absolutely delicious and we ended up leaving with six bottles! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Great people, great atmosphere, and great wine! 🐾🍷 We will absolutely be back to visit with our new friends next time we are in the area! Thank you Amanda and Missy!!

We had a great experience tasting new wines. Amanda who served us our tasting is fantastic! Just what you want tasting wines. Friendly and knows about the wine she served us. The Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the best I've tasted. It's well worth your time to stop by.

Came in for tastings as part of the TN wine/cider trail. Our server during the tasting was friendly knowledgeable and answered any of the questions that we asked about the different tastings. Nice place to visit and some. I e products. Only negative is it’s off the beaten path compared to the other places in Gatlinburg.

I was randomly walked in there for some wine tasting. I loved blueberry lemon wine. And got a bottle. It is so so good! I was not in my good mood, I had a very bad day. One of their assistants, Missy, if i am not mistaken her name, came to me and comforted me. She was wonderful and made my day. She gave me a hug and her small talk with me impacted me a lot in me. A memorable evening. Thank you lady!! You Rock!

Yelp
Alicia was our server for our tasting and she was great! She was super nice and funny and knowledgable. We got to hear all about the different grapes and apples and other ingredients used in their ciders and wines, etc., and where they came from and how they blend things. We got to try a ton of stuff that was quite tasty and pretty much everyone in our group bought multiple bottles! Absolutely one of the best tastings to do in all of Gatlinburg!

Yelp
Garrett is the man! Keeping that hustle but with a great sense of humor! Was excited to see they had Mead on the menu but the ciders won my heart. Place was super clean and the rest of the staff was friendly too

Yelp
Nate was easily the most knowledgeable and nicest bartender we have encountered our entire trip. The flavors are great and he has a great sense of humor. Thank you Nate! We will be back.
