Where to Eat and Drink in Gatlinburg, Tennessee | Eater Nashville

"Built from local barn wood, the winery focuses on local history and heritage and is a member of the Rocky Top Wine Trail. The best-selling wine is the Elmont made from loganberries paying homage to the nearby Appalachian logging community situated in the Little River Valley. While many clamor for the plentiful fruity wines made here, more traditional ones like the 1802 dry red hit discerning palates as well. The family-friendly winery offers free daily tastings for those 21-years-old and up."

First try and must say it was a wonderful experience. Didn't like everything, but did find a couple of things I liked. Amanda was wonderful! Friendly and knowledgeable! She made our experience even better and totally enjoyable! You should try the place and I hope you are lucky enough to get Amanda to help you with your tasting and purchases.

I was randomly walked in there for some wine tasting. I loved blueberry lemon wine. And got a bottle. It is so so good! I was not in my good mood, I had a very bad day. One of their assistants, Missy, if i am not mistaken her name, came to me and comforted me. She was wonderful and made my day. She gave me a hug and her small talk with me impacted me a lot in me. A memorable evening. Thank you lady!! You Rock!

We had a great experience tasting new wines. Amanda who served us our tasting is fantastic! Just what you want tasting wines. Friendly and knows about the wine she served us. The Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the best I've tasted. It's well worth your time to stop by.

We had such a great experience at Old Mountain Wine Company thanks to Amanda and Missy! They were incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and made the whole tasting so enjoyable. They went above and beyond to make my family and our dog, Goose feel completely at home and like we were visiting with old friends. They even brought Goose ice, water, and a dog biscuit, which was such a sweet, thoughtful touch. The wine was absolutely delicious and we ended up leaving with six bottles! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Great people, great atmosphere, and great wine! 🐾🍷 We will absolutely be back to visit with our new friends next time we are in the area! Thank you Amanda and Missy!!

The staff serving at the sample area were very funny and entertaining while also educational while discussing the wines. Great selection of wines and meads. The facility was clean and well decorated. We enjoyed our stay.

First and foremost, the best mimosa’s we’ve ever had. We came over while waiting for a table at the breakfast camp and were absolutely blown away from the quality of mimosas. We came back another evening, this time with the pups on the patios with the fire , but it was raining outside and they gave us the all clear to bring the pups inside. Davin was a phenomenal dude who served us both times. We fully recommend getting mimosas here, but we were also huge fan of the mango mead and Pinot noir.

Out of all of the wine tasting places in Gatlinburg, this is a better one. They are still salesmen at the end of the day and will try to sell you on what they can, but they are very nice. Their meads and ciders really are phenomenal though. Would highly recommend. They have deals and things are fairly priced. You also get two free glasses and they are super cute. They also have a bar for you to order from with outdoor seating with firpits. Very comfortable.

We actually weren’t patrons of this place but were on an hour and a half wait for a breakfast restaurant down the block. The outdoor space at Old Mountain Wine Company looked amazing… Adirondacks and beautiful fire pits. The owner was incredibly hospitable and welcomed us to kill time on their patio. If he treats non paying customers so warmly, I have no doubt that the experience here would be wonderful for wine lovers. They’ve not been open a year yet but I hope they have a long and successful future in Gatlinburg.

Yelp
Garrett is the man! Keeping that hustle but with a great sense of humor! Was excited to see they had Mead on the menu but the ciders won my heart. Place was super clean and the rest of the staff was friendly too

Yelp
Alicia was our server for our tasting and she was great! She was super nice and funny and knowledgable. We got to hear all about the different grapes and apples and other ingredients used in their ciders and wines, etc., and where they came from and how they blend things. We got to try a ton of stuff that was quite tasty and pretty much everyone in our group bought multiple bottles! Absolutely one of the best tastings to do in all of Gatlinburg!

Yelp
The lady her name is Elena but she has black hair and it is like short . She is really nice. It is usually so chill here and I love that. The have water and gatorade and coke. I am not legally allowed to drink, but I love this place. She told us some personal things about her, and we told her some personal things about me and my dad and my sister

Yelp
Nate was easily the most knowledgeable and nicest bartender we have encountered our entire trip. The flavors are great and he has a great sense of humor. Thank you Nate! We will be back.
