Welcomed in with a big smile and welcome, felt very welcoming. Offered a free sample while I browsed. Sample of banana pudding was very good and fresh. Got the chocolate cupcake, snicker doodle(massive size), and chocolate chip cookie(massive size). Chocolate cupcake: moist, and still fluffy, excellent chocolate icing that was creamy. Done very well and would happily eat again. Chocolate chip cookie: solid choice, basic and satisfying Snickerdoodle: soft and flavorful. Sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Very good flavor, gives that little something extra.

Patricia is lovely, she has such great energy. She delivered my birthday cake yesterday, she seemed just as excited as I was about my cake. It was such a sweet experience. My lilac cake was so pretty and DELICIOUS! I'm so glad we picked the right person to create my birthday dessert! Thank you Patricia!

I stopped by for the first time this week and was immediately met with great customer service. The owner and young man who was working behind the counter were both friendly and welcoming. I went home with a strawberry, lemon, chocolate and vanilla cupcake. My son and I both found the strawberry cupcake to be our #1 pick. It was full of flavor and you could taste the fresh ingredients. I look forward to trying the banana pudding and peach cobbler on my next visit!

I’ve been in Austin nearly 3 years. Consistently searching for a black owned bakery and Suga’s doesn’t miss at all. I ordered a Red Velvet Cake for a birthday and it disappeared. I also order peanut butter cookies and they are easily the best in Austin. They put Crumbl or anyone else to shame. Patricia is a great owner and even provided instruction on cake preservation (it didn’t last that long). I’ve hyped it up so much my Dad in SC has request to bring him cookies.

I first tried a cake from Suga’s earlier this year during a friend’s birthday celebration (Southern red velvet), and another birthday celebration a few months later(heavenly Italian cream). It was so good that I knew I’d surprise my partner for his birthday with round 3! From a seamless ordering system, to supporting my last minute cake change, Suga’s Cakery worked with me every step of the way to ensure my partner received the best birthday carrot cake ever! They went above and beyond to incorporate all his favorite colors and I felt included every step of the way. Already submitting my second cake order for a good friend’s birthday at the end of the month. Once you go to Suga’s Cakery, you won’t want to go anywhere else!

Our first visit to Suga's was magical! Even though it was a little crowded, they still specifically gave us a warm welcome and let us know they'd be with us shortly. I was already excited about gourmet cupcakes but they had a few other nice surprises too. They had fresh samples of cobbler and banana pudding and I gotta tell you, it made my day. The cobbler was delicious, warm, and tart and the banana pudding was so good that I forgot to take a picture of our samples (oops). We ended up getting banana pudding, a carrot cake cupcake, chocolate cupcake, and a red velvet cupcake. Everything was so delicious and I got immediate fomo when I realized we'd missed two other cupcakes of theirs that recently won awards so we'll definitely be back. The chocolate was probably my favorite, followed closely by carrot. So excited to have found Suga's...we'll be buying them for many occasions.

HUGE fan of Suga's! Making this my go-to spot for cupcakes and dessert. I got the strawberry cupcake and it was SO GOOD. It's made with FRESH strawberries and you can tasty them in nearly every bite. Mind you, I'm not a huge cupcake fan, but I ate this in one sitting because it's that good. I got a cupcake for my friend as well for her birthday and she really enjoyed it and also appreciated the fresh strawberries! I can't wait to go back and try some of their other desserts. I've heard amazing things about the peach cobbler and banana pudding!

It's not fancy outside and pretty unassuming if you were just driving by but their desserts speak for themselves. I enjoyed my guiltless chocolate cupcake though I did feel guilty with how fast I ate it LOL. Not a super fan of the zesty citron cupcake but maybe it was just an offday considering how delicious and moist the chocolate cupcake was The standouts for me were their banana pudding and peach cobbler. I finally polished off the banana pudding a few days ago and I'm still thinking of it.

Came here after our dinner wanting to try some desserts from here. It was a Friday evening 15 mins before closing (8pm) and sadly for us, they ran out of cupcakes except for vanilla cupcake and banana pudding. Both are delicious, especially the banana pudding. Their banana pudding is next level if you ask me! Vanilla cupcake is quite good but vanilla is vanilla. Their cupcake itself is not bad but nothing to rave about. While I usually don't care much for the frosting, I really like theirs! Small store front manned by very nice people. They also offer vegan and gluten friendly cupcakes. Wish I was able to get gluten-free cupcake for my husband but they ran out of all options! I'll have to come back earlier in the day so I can try other flavors!

I stopped by Suga's to pick up some sweets for my wife for our Anniversary. Patricia and her son Jeremy were so kind and welcoming. Their cupcakes are truly the best I've ever had. 10/10 delicious! The perfect amount of sweetness and the icing is incredible. You can tell they really put a lot of love into each one. It was the perfect treat to end a great evening. This place is a gem! Been meaning to try Suga's for the past few months and wow! What a gem of a person and amazing cupcakes. Sampled her banana pudding and peach cobbler which were also 5/5. Ended up getting the strawberry and red velvet cupcakes. Good balance of cake and icing. Had one right after visiting and the other the next day. Kept their freshness well! Will be back to try out more flavors.

Andrea is an extremely kind and amazing person. She greets everyone coming to the store personally. I went in at 6PM, a day before Easter. The display case was completely empty, prompting me to think they had run out but thankfully they still had chocolate, strawberry and lemon. I got half a dozen assorted strawberry and lemon. They are amazing. Love the fresh cupcakes. I also got the chocolate cupcake for my 4 year old. He relished it even before we got to the car.

Came in on Easter weekend and she was busy busy busy! The outside of the place is very small but they have delicious cupcakes! I tried the vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing and it was so good and moist. I definitely want to come back for the other flavors and try the banana pudding!

We had such a great time! Went on the first day of our Yelp elite perk on a Wednesday right after work and school because that was the only time I could and I knew my coach daughter wanted to go try it as well! It's not far from where we are so we were excited to go and get our freebies once we got there we realize it was next to the Ethiopian place that we used to go eat at alot. It's a cute little storefront and a sweet gentleman and an elderly grandpa was sitting outside when we got there- most likely the owner's family. Once we went in, there was a nice young man that greeted us and attended to us the whole time. I picked out my two free cupcakes and realized I wanted two more to try so that my whole family can try and he went in the back and he came back with some warm peach cobbler and the most delicious banana pudding for us to try. It was so good. My daughter had to buy her own little container of banana pudding. He was so nice. He also offered us a free drink and all the yelp swag. I paid for the two extra cupcakes and my daughter paid for the banana pudding. I wish I could try other things and buy other things too, but we're happy with what we got and couldn't wait to take it home to try. This was such a fun experience and I thank you Yelp elite for giving us this opportunity to try. Now we know where this place is. It's not too far~ across the street from our grandparents so next time we go visit we're gonna hop right in and pick up some Yummies ! I joined the loyalty program so I already got five dollars off and their cupcakes are about six dollars each (yes it's a bit high I feel but it's made with a lot of love) so what a steal with the coupon! I hope she does really well cause all her stuff is pretty yummy and you can tell it was made with much love and care. My favorite is the strawberry I think because it was the fluffiest and most moist. My husband got the carrot. My daughter got the lemon and my littlest got the strawberry, but we also got the Italian cream too, but we tried all of it and had a little piece of each. The Italian cream tasted more coconutty which was good because I like coconut. I really could tell that everything was handmade with care. It wasn't too too sweet either not too much icing but I'm still thinking about the warm peach cobbler that they gave as a sample! Totally would love to go back to try that and add some ice cream to that. Thank you for the experience yelp it was so much fun! Everybody should try and visit and get a taste. It is surely yummy.

I had a sweet tooth last week so I stopped in for a sweet treat. They had a wide selection of cupcakes and cookies in their display case. I ended up getting a Vanilla Cupcake ($6) which was absolutely wonderful. The gentleman and young man who assisted me were incredibly nice. He even offered me a sample of their Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler (which was still popping hot). They were both delicious. I'll definitely be back again for that Banana Pudding. Highly recommend you stop by if you're in the area!

Such a great and easy process when it comes to ordering cakes. I live out of state and was looking for a cake for a family member for their birthday and found Suga's. You fill out the order form online and Patricia, the owner, will call you up with any questions she might have for you about detailing on the cake. They even deliver the cake for you for an extra fee, which is not much. We ordered the carrot cake since it is my family members favorite. She was absolutely surprised and loved the flavor of each bite. She said this was by far her favorite carrot cake she has ever had and wasn't planning on sharing it with her husband (hahaha) Glad she liked the cake and excited to recommend Suga's to more ppl. Wish we had something like this in our state. Website is easy to follow. If you have any questions or special request just be sure to let the owner know and she will be more than happy to help you.

I went for an event and it was incredible. The staff welcomed you in and immediately made you feel like part of the community! She gave up samples of some banana pudding she was working on in the back and we chatted about how all of her goods were made in house. Each of the cupcakes I tried (guiltless chocolate, Italian buttercream, red velvet, and carrot cake) were dense and moist. She has seriously perfected the cream cheese frosting, it was the right amount of sweet to tangy. The actual location is very cute! I highly recommend stopping in the next time you're craving a cupcake!!

Suga's Cakery must have recently relocated and is in a strip mall with a sign above that says café one however it does have pictures of baked goods so that is the clue. Right under that sign is Suite 112...... just thought I would add this since I am directionally challenged and had a bit of a difficult time finding it Ordering online was very easy . We communicated via text. I was specifically looking for someplace that was going to be supporting the food bank through the Austin area restaurant week sales. This little Cakery in Pflugerville was on the list. I ordered one of everything that they had available under the items that would qualify for part of the proceeds to go to the food bank. I was able to request a specific time to pick up online as well. I think it's really incredible that this smallish Cakery is kind enough to participate. The items on their list range from $5 to $20 very reasonably priced for the quality! (of course if you're ordering a whole cake or an entire pan of dessert, please understand it's going to be more than the individual serving prices) I plan to update this with pictures of my purchases.

We live across the street from this little gem... I went there to get a lemon cupcake for St. Patrick's Day.. it was phenomenal!! We also tried their cobbler at the Slice of Pflugerville. This very kind woman for sure knows what she's doing without a doubt!!! Don't sleep on this local bakery!!!

Patricia is so nice and enthusiastic about her business! Love this place! She is no longer in the Food Truck and now has a Brick & Mortar shop. It's a bit hard to find bc she doesn't have her sign up yet, but it's nestled in the corner of the shopping center between the Ethiopian restaurant and the Hookah Lounge. Look for the Cafe 1 sign for now - I know she will replace that soon. The cupcakes are very good - a little on the pricey side at $6-7 depending on the variety, but very moist and yummy. The peach cobbler is heavenly. She gave me a sample and I will definitely be back to purchase this treat. So fresh and the crust - perfection! The big fat peanut butter cookie was super yummy, too! She makes award winning goodies that often sell out. If I had been there earlier in the day when her case was full, I would have posted pics. Next time! Give this local biz a try!

Mixed results for the vegan offerings but very happy to have the option! Their Southern Red Velvet is both vegan and gluten-free, with a surprising density and heft that gives it the staying power of a full meal. For my tastes, the Vanilla cake is a bit lacking, however, bearing a distinctive rice flour flavor and gritty texture. As long as you're seeing red when you hit the store, you'll be a happy camper.

I can still taste that banana pudding! OMG!!!! I feel bad for forgetting the guy and the lady that helped us on a Sunday evening, but they were the sweetest people and were super helpful. Really good cupcakes, glad we found a great spot.

After having cupcakes from here at a party, I decided to buy my own dozen. They were delicious and the price was worth the treats. I look forward to coming back and supporting this small, woman-owned business

I've been eating the chocolate cupcakes here for years. They are my favorite place to get chocolate cupcakes. The moistness is unbelievable. Some cupcakes you won't have the same moistness the next day but not Suga's. This bakery won't disappoint. Friendly service. Quaint location.

Everything Patricia makes is amazing! The pecan praline king cake she made for us was so delicious, it was almost gone within a day. It was light, fluffy, and packed with incredible flavor. I can't wait to try all her other flavors!"

Hubby went to Suga's recently to cure my sweet tooth and boy, did it! He bought a chocolate chip cookie and a peanut butter cookie and they were huge and oh so good! Also, had the peach cobbler...YOU MUST TRY IT! It is superb! Hubby also brought home strawberry, spiced carrot cake and Italian creme cupcakes and each and everyone of them were delicious! The icing on all of them had the perfect amount of sweetness and the cake portions were flavorful. Carrot cake was my fav, but recommend trying them all! Hubby agrees and said the customer service was great as well!

What a pleasant surprise. Stumbled on location when eating lunch next door. Nice gentleman provided service as soon as I walked in. Great selection of ready to go treats! DELICIOUS!! Cake batter had right amount of sugar - not too sweet. Only suggestion would be to have a couple of seats to enjoy there (for those of us who don't live in area). Overall - Happy camper - will be back!

Baby when I tell you my knees buckled when I tasted they peach cobbler OMG it is SO GOOD . We didn't even know this hidden gem was down the street! We pulled up to picked up our to-go food next door and I said awww let's get a sweet treat from this cute bakery and I'm so happy we did. The older man working there was so nice. I enjoyed reading all the accolades the bakery has received.

I didn't purchase items for myself but rather was picking up an order for someone else. When I walked into the little shop, the first thing I saw was ribbons hanging under certain desserts. These were actual blue ribbons that Patricia Bedford has won for these creations. All of the products are made in store, and she takes great care in packaging food for delivery. Everything was neat and clean, and both she and her helper were so sweet. I had to let my client know how careful they were with her order. Now, most of what was in the glass case were stunning cupcakes.... very generously sized desserts. The aroma in the store was mouthwatering, but I can't eat them. My son is a professional chef, and he has a sweet tooth; however, he is very particular about where he purchases sweets. I took tons of photos, but unfortunately accidentally deleted, to show him, but I'm going to surprise him with some of these. Her prices are $6 per cupcake, but these are the size of 2 or 3 regular cupcakes! I deliver food full time, and there are many restaurants in the Austin area that I will NEVER eat from because I sometimes see behind the scenes and I'm NOT going to be a customer, ever. I can't wait for my son to try these little cakes. Please give this little store a look-see and just try them. I will update this review after my son has actually tried them.

My sister bought me a strawberry cupcake it was so dense. Definitely not worth what she paid for. The flavor was good. I haven't tried any other bake goods but this cupcake was a no form me. A cupcake should be fluffy and moist not dense. Sorry I know reviews makes or breaks a business Thank you

I'm from Washington state and was visiting Pflugerville for a 50th birthday. I found Suga's Cakery on line and the reviews seemed good so I ordered a German chocolate cake. Patricia was very responsive and stayed in close contact with me. The cake was beautiful and absolutely amazing. It was so moist! Not heavy at all. Everyone was raving about it. I would highly recommend Patricia and Suga's Cakery!

So I recently had two cakes from Suga's. One for my birthday - keto carrot cake. This cake was divine. I can't believe it's keto, it tasted so good. The cake was light and the frosting so creamy and light yet so buttery. A week after I received this gift I needed to order a birthday cake for someone who is gluten sensitive. Suga's came through again with such a great cake. It was vanilla cake with white chocolate frosting and strawberries. Suga's will customize a cake for almost any diet. Both that I had were amazing. I don't know how they make the frosting but I could eat a tub of it by itself. Suga's is going to be my go-to cake place anytime I need one. I'll be looking for excuses for sure. I'm sad that I have to take a break from it for now, as I am watching my weight, but I'll be dreaming of the cakes and the next one I will be able to have. My experience was great, Patricia was so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend Suga's Cakery!

My husband purchased me a red velvet cake for my birthday and when I say this cake is delicious. All I could do was savor every bite. It was so moist!!!!! Patricia has earned a customer. We will be back for some of her peach cobbler and banana pudding. Thank you

Stopped in here this evening. From the street it looks like some kind of bakery by some dude named Chef Juan (which I found intriguing no doubt) but upon a closer look I found Suga's Cakery. Had a banana puds and a peach cobbler and they were both very delicious. The owner Patricia Bedford was so friendly! Interested in the cup cakes. The strawberry (and cream?) cup cake had a gummy strawberry on it that was looking delicious. Hours later that delicious-looking gummy strawberry remains on my mind.

First off, I want to make my rating system clear and provide the disclaimer that I do not drink alcohol; experiences may vary. 5 stars - I love this place. This place of business is reserved for special occasions. If anyone visits, I will be sure to take them here, if applicable. That being said I hope I am not too liberal with my 5's. 4 stars - This is where I go for a casual date night. The separation between a 4 star establishment and a 5 star is there is something missing from the ambience, service, or quality/quantity/price balance. 3 stars - I will not go out of my way to go to this business, but I will not object to going here. This is rating is probably the equivalent of business murder; that being said, my reviews will not be a normal distribution and be skewed toward the high end. 2 stars - I will refuse to go here but not outright discourage others from doing so. Not anticipating the how COVID-19 would impact bakeries, I waited a week before my son's birthday to start looking, only to find out that my go-to bakery was not taking custom orders anymore. Thankfully, Suga's came to the rescue. I was able to get a Despicable Me minion lemon cake in less than a week. Given that my now one year old has yet to learn how to type prose, I will be discussing tastiness. I typically avoid sweets as I approach a certain age and too much sugar gives me a headache where it once gave me a rush, but Suga's cake had me eating it by the eighth or by quarter because it hit the Goldilocks region of being sweet but not too sweet. The lemon was fresh and a perfect accent. Even after refrigeration, the cake stayed moist when previous cakes that I have eaten become rocks. Fast service, standard price, and great taste means that Suga's probably stole my business from my normal bakery. Incoming dad joke, the icing on the cake was that I received a candle as well!

Patricia is a Godsend!!! I'm all the way in AZ and clueless as to any Vegan bakeries in Pflugerville. She was able to pull a last minute, same day delivery for me on a Sunday mind you! She literally is so amazing!!!! Not to mention the cupcakes were delish!

Went to this location and it looked like it was in a food truck area. Walked around to all the businesses and No signage for this cakery existed. Disappointed -incorrect hours/location listed on Yelp. Maybe it went out of business?

My friend got me a big box of rainbow vegan gluten free cupcakes for my birthday last weekend and OMG we couldn't stop eating them! We were absolutely obsessed - so moist and flavorful. These were the best cupcakes and I couldn't recommend them more!

I visited Suga's Cakery for the first time and WOW! I tried the lemon cupcake and the flavor was out of this world! Very rich icing and the cake was fluffy & so savory! The customer service was the best & we had the opportunity to briefly talk which was such a pleasure! I will definitely be back for more of Suga's Cakery!!

So I pass by these food trucks all the time and I wanted to see if it could cure me if my sweet tooth and honestly the woman who runs this truck with her mom is the sweetest lady ever and the cupcakes are a perfect! My husband ended up going back to get the rest of the flavors that we didn't get the first time ( chocolate, and lemon) and they still didn't disappoint. I highly suggest you stop by and try them out

Can I give 10 stars? I needed a Rum Cake on the quick and I came to the right place. A Rum Cake usually takes at least 12 hours to allow the syrup to soak into the cake, but Patricia made one in less than 6! Not only was this the fastest Rum Cake EVER, but it was easily the best I've had, and I have had tons of fresh Rum Cake in my travels all over the Caribbean. To make this already impressive accomplishment even more amazing, THIS WAS HER FIRST TIME EVER MAKING ONE. Everyone who tried had the same assessment as I did, it was the best cake they'd ever had as well.

I got a yummy peach cobbler from the lovely Patricia several months ago, so I went back when I needed cupcakes for a coworker's birthday. I got a dozen/variety. I'll admit I didn't check the price first, which is my own fault ($72/dozen) but I went ahead. They were INCREDIBLE! So moist and fluffy, so obviously hand-made with love. Bits of real strawberry in the strawberry cupcakes, carrot cake loaded with shredded carrots, lovely cream-cheese frosting, and not too much of it. Everyone at the office loved them, and vowed they would definitely want them again for future birthday celebrations. Two thumbs up!
