The moment I tasted their Sichuan Fried Chicken Slicers, I know the Chef/Owner knows about Asian/Chinese food. The fried chicken is battered with Sichuan peppercorn which leaves a unique numbing taste on your tongue. That’s the spirit of Sichuan. Pork Belly Bao Buns also taste good and juicy. Both exceeded my expectations. The entries we had didn’t turn out as good. The bibimbap is okay. Saw truffle pasta picture on yelp with tons of shaved truffles but when it’s served, no single shaved truffles - just some bacon and mushroom. Very disappointed.

Sugo is a standout spot in Rolling Hills and the South Bay. The mix of Korean, Italian, and Brazilian flavors makes it one-of-a-kind, and you can tell a lot of care goes into everything. The portions are generous, and the quality of the food really shines. We started with the Pão de Queijo, Brazilian cheese popovers with lime aioli. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and cheesy on the inside—comfort food done right. The aioli added just the right amount of tangy flavor to make them addictive. The corn masa empanadas were another winner—hot and flaky, with a rich and flavorful filling. The chimichurri sauce on the side was fresh, zesty, and complemented them perfectly. The hot honey soppressata pizza was one of the highlights. The crust was light and crispy, the soppressata was top-quality, and the balance of sweet and spicy from the hot honey made every bite pop with flavor. The stone pot bibimbap with bulgogi beef was just as impressive. The beef was tender and packed with flavor, and the homemade kimchi added a bold, tangy kick. Served sizzling hot, it had that perfect mix of textures and flavors. The honey-glazed Szechuan chicken sliders were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a perfectly sticky, spicy-sweet glaze. The pickled cabbage added a refreshing crunch, and the portions were more than generous. My daughter got the chicken fettuccine from the kids' menu, and it was creamy, flavorful, and kid-approved. Overall, the food was fantastic—bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The service was friendly and attentive, making for an all-around great experience. Sugo is definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

I definitely recommend this place! Last night, we came with a large group and didn’t have a reservation. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. The decor and ambiance is modern and the lightening is warm. I loved that they had a mix of tables and plush booths. The space is large but feels intimate and family friendly. There is a bar area—perfect for date night or ladies night! I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Josie who served our table. She was the BEST! Again, we had at least 15 people in our group. She had the drinks and food out on time. She was so pleasant and upbeat! I was expecting delays just because we had so many people but we didn’t. Josie brought out this Brazilian bread “Pao de Queijo” for the table. It was warm and crunchy on the outside with a cheese interior. A must have! We had the calamari, which was breaded lightly with a nice crunch. It was served with two sauces. The kids menu had so many options (not just pizza, butter noodles and chicken nuggets). They had salmon, sliders, fettuccine, and bulgogi bowl to mention a few! Our table tried the pork belly sliders, seafood pan roast, modena salad, and truffle pizza! It’s a hidden gem—a place where you can have an authentic, upscale experience and bring the whole family. Location was perfect. Now with PV Promanade bringing new experiences to the mall, it’s nice to have Sugo Social as an option! We will be coming back for sure! I’ll post some pictures of what we ordered from the menu.

We had a reservation for 2 at Sugo Social and they were kind enough to still honor happy hour pricing even though we walked in literally a minute past the cut-off (we really appreciated that flexibility!). We started with complimentary cheese bread and shared the Chicken Empanadas, the Chicken Karaage, the Szechuan Chicken Sliders, and the Caesar salad; everything was hot, crisp, flavorful, and much better than bar snacks have any right to be. The portions are a bit smaller and the offerings are slightly different from what is listed online, but at $10 a dish it still feels like a deal. The chicken karaage and sliders in particular had great texture and just enough heat. We even liked everything enough to order an Italian Chopped Salad to go (sadly for us, this was regular pricing). Overall, the food and service made this feel like a hidden gem in the area. Definitely a spot we'd come back to for late-afternoon drinks and snacks again.

Checked it out after hearing a few good things, and it ended up being a solid spot. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe — kind of a mix of Korean, Italian, and Brazilian flavors, which sounds random but actually works well. We tried the Chicken Empanadas, Seafood Pan Roast, Octopus Pasta, Stone Pot Bibimbap, and the Hot Honey Sopressata Pizza. The Seafood Pan Roast and Octopus Pasta were my faves. Portions were decent and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Service was friendly and the space itself feels modern but comfortable. Overall, it’s a nice neighborhood spot to grab dinner or drinks without feeling too fancy or too casual. I’d definitely come back, especially for happy hour or to try a few more dishes.

10/10 all around!! we walked in and was greeted by Gloria who was very kind, the food was absolutely delicious everything was freshly made and brought out to us within minutes. the new upgraded place is very beautiful! i definitely recommend everyone to try this hidden gem out. WILL BE COMING BACK:)

I was searching for new places to go to for my birthday dinner and I found this one. It was kind of hard finding the restaurant because Google leads you to the entrance of the ice skating rink, but it’s actually located in the plaza. My husband and I went on a Tuesday evening at 6:45pm, when we walked into the restaurant we were amazed at the entrance. It’s literally a huge hallway/ room for just the entrance. When we walked in the decor was very well styled and felt classy and modern. We were seated in a booth and I really liked it because it felt very private but cozy. I looked on Yelp to help me decide what to order we had the pan roast ( which was delicious and super flavorful with seafood in every bite!) They gave us 2 of the pao de quejo complimentary, they were light airy and just a little chewy, what made it really special was the sauce, not really sure what it was made of but it had a slight tangy taste kind of like sour cream, a salad (which was really good too, the butter lettuce was soft and it had candied walnuts in it which really took it to the next level ), and lastly we had the sirloin steak which came with Brussels sprouts and fries I ordered it medium. I think out of all the plates that was my least favorite, might’ve been the cut of the meat but it was kind of tough to chew. But the flavors were still really great. Overall my experience was better then I expected and I definitely want to go again to try their unique pizzas and pastas! I think the venue would be good for groups as well, the restaurant is huge, hopefully they stay open for awhile!

This was an excellent dining experience, a welcome addition to the PV landscape. We dined there as a party of 10 with some kids. The food and menu looked great - a lot of innovative dishes that I hope to try in future visits. Started off with the popovers which wet fluffy and cheesy. Shared some pork belly baos and chicken lettuce wraps, both delicious - I liked how the pork belly was crispy in the bao. Went with the seafood pan roast as my main - lots of seafood and great flavor. Nibbled on some of the others' mains, those were great as well. Overall, great atmosphere, food and experience!

Came here to eat for the first time the other day. Note there are 2 entrances and if there is only 1 host, she will need to bounce between both doors. We went to the entrance by the fountain with the grand steps, large sign and beautiful lit arch and was greeted by nobody. We stood inside the front door for a couple minutes wondering what to do as there were no seats, no signs, no clue as to what to do next. Just before we were going to walk out, a waitress saw us and told us the host was at the other entrance whom she quickly called over. They need to fix that. We were immediately seated. The place was crowded and we were so happy to see more life coming to this mall. The waitress greeted us and a few minutes later we placed our order. We ordered lettuce wraps for an appetizer, I ordered the Korean Bibimbap and wife ordered a medium steak. The lettuce wraps were delicious. Only wish they gave a couple more leaves of lettuce. At least make it an even number. We got 5. The Bibimbap came out first on a hot stone with 2 spoons wedged in there. Since my wife's food hadn't arrived yet I just left it alone. About 5-10 minutes later her steak finally arrived. This was not acceptable. Bring the food out together but not 5-10 minutes apart. So I started to eat the Bibimbap and took the first spoonful and practically burned my mouth. The hot stone had been in contact with the metal spoons for so long that they were like branding irons. OUCH. Also, because of the wait, the rice in the bottom of the dish got burned and crispy. As for my wife, she ordered a medium steak and it was definitely not medium but more like a medium-well. The center had no pink at all. Regardless of these issues though the food was still great. The flavor was good. The presentation was nice. We enjoyed our meal, the ambiance and facility was nicely decorated and the tables weren't too close to each other. The place was fully packed the service was good and we were extremely excited to support a business in this mall. They are still in the soft opening phase so I'm sure they are still working through a few bugs. They will eventually get them fixed and I'll definitely come back and update this review when that happens.

The staff was so kind and the food was absolutely divine! We ordered the seafood pan roast with rice and lettuce cups. Both excellent! We also enjoyed the cold sake and the lychee soju cocktail. We didn't know closing time was 8pm and were there till 9:30! We felt terrible knowing we stayed longer. They were too nice and didn't inform us they were closed. (The owner took me to the table and she also owns Looma Space indoor playground. Very fun place for kids!)

Ambience: 5 star plus Service: 5 star plus Food: 5 star Price: high Everything was delicious. Octopus pasta: Will order again. Not your typical spaghetti pasta Sugo Sliders: very good and I have nothing to complain about it but I usually don't crave sliders. Picanha Pate Feuiletee: innovative. I really enjoyed this one. Modena Salad: good but pricey for what it is Pizza: kiss loves this one and I would agree with them. It's not super thin crust like I enjoy, but still great

This place is owned by the same owner as Looma Space (place for toddlers to hang out and parents to catch a breath). Because of that, the place is non-surprisingly accommodative for families with toddlers since they have kid dishes, silverware, stool in the bathroom, etc. which my wife LOVED. If you don't have kids, not to worry. The ambiance is still very chic and it's nice to get more places like this on the hill. We need more "fun" restaurants that feel like West Hollywood or Santa Monica without the awful 1 hour drive (one way). Livening up PV would be great so it's not such a sleepy town. Now the food... oh man. They do crispy right. If they made the chicken nuggets as an adult dish I would legit order that every now and then because those were some of the best I've ever had. And the pizzas... don't even get me started. The crust, my wife mentioned, was reminiscent of when we were in Florence and I'd have to agree. My wife ordered the Hot Honey pizza and I'm telling you... don't sleep on that dish. I wasn't expecting it to be that good, but she let me have a bite and she had to fight my hand the rest of dinner. They even gave every table complimentary Brazilian puff bread with lime aioli sauce which, as you can guess, was also very tasty. The service was excellent. Bailey was on top of it and super friendly throughout. Last tips: 1. Make reservations. At 5:43pm this Saturday evening we heard them telling people that they were all booked up and there was only the bar/ lounge area available for no walk ins. 2. Park one floor down from the very top because there's a ramp with direct access where you don't have to go up or down any stairs to get to the front of the restaurant. It's right above Talbots. 3. Since it's a soft opening they're still waiting to get their full liquor license. I've attached a picture of their current available alcoholic beverages.

A great addition to the PV mall! My first time here was with my parents. As part of the soft opening, we were given free Brazilian cheese bread. We ordered the calamari, chicken empanadas, Modena salad, hot honey sopressata pizza, and picanha pate feuiletee. While the chicken empanadas were not our favorite, everything else was outstanding! The pizza comes with scissors and tongs to cut yourself, which I found very fun! The restaurant is so beautiful and clean, and the dimmed lighting for dinner creates a cozy environment. Our server, Bailey, was knowledgeable, kind, and full of smiles! My second time here was with my boyfriend for a birthday dinner. We arrived at restaurant less than an hour before close, however they still seated us. Not wanting to keep the staff there too late, we quickly ordered the house sake, Szechuan chicken sliders, cheese pizza, and grilled branzino. Additionally, we were given complimentary Brazilian cheese bread! Again, all the food was delicious and the service was great. We were able to leave the restaurant before many of the tables that were already seated and eating, although I still feel bad about arriving so close to closing. I'll have to be more mindful next time. Can't wait to come back!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Love the fusion concept and the variety of dishes. They are still making adjustments to the menu and service but are doing a good job figuring things out. The mix of cusines are Italian, Brazilian, and Korean and the dishes are made for sharing. The biggest draw for me initially was that they had pan roast on the menu. I have not seen many places with pan roast around and almost always get it when im in Vegas. This was a great version of it and it definitely scratches that itch without making the trip out to Vegas. I would come back just for this. The bibimbap tasted legit and was a good size. Only nag for me was that they didn't give enough kimchi but I suppose you could just ask for more. The gnocchi was excellent. Light and soft and I could taste the potato. The sauce for me was great but I could have used just a touch more sweetness from the squash. Branzino was a hit with my family. The fish was cooked beautifully, not dry or overcooked. Rose prawns were also well liked. I love almost anything rose. Tomato and cream is such a great combo. Also, right now they give Brazilian cheese bread popover as a complimentary starter and they are delicious. Nice and cheesy and chewy with that tapioca starch. The garlic sauce is also so addictive. You could probably put that sauce on anything. Give them a try and help establish this restaurant here in the south bay. The owners and management seem so nice. I can't wait to see what else they have on menu and what other things they have planned in the future.

This is by far my new favorite restaurant in pv. Those who know, know what I mean and this blew me out of the park! I loved every single dish and the pizza dough was out of this world. The Korean squash gnocchi was so damn good like an elevated version of the Trader Joe's version. Worth every dollar and penny and I will be telling all the locals to come here. Such a refreshing vibe in a weird mall/medical center but it's genuinely so nice and trendy. The staff was also super nice and friendly and made us feel right at home. Can't wait for their liquor license to be ready cause the bar area is also so aesthetically pleasing.

The food is a fusion of korean and mexican cuisine i guess, i personally like the steak lol. But my favorite is the french fries lol they tasted superb, reminds me of home. My family really liked everything from the Pão De Queijo , the platter, the picanha, the branzino. Everything. Of course service is top notch, very helpful and communicative. The place is separated into the restaurant and sorta bar side, you can adjust the lighting in your table to your liking apparently. It's nice!

Wow! Welcome to PV, Sugo Special! So happy to have you here. This is a large restaurant on the second floor of the Promenade, but it is also acceptable from the courtyard. It has been completely re-done in soft colors and warm woods with comfortable seating. The service was friendly and relatively attentive. They are working through kinks as they open this beautiful restaurant, but they are making it as comfortable as possible. The portions are HUGE so the dishes are a bit more than I would have expected - next time we will order less food. Every dish was outstanding. We started with warm, welcoming cheese bread. This stuff is SO AWESOME! The brick roasted chicken was super moist, the kale salad was fresh and had balanced flavors, the Caesar salad was creative and tasty, and the stone pot is on point. Each dish can easily feed two people, if not more. I am looking forward to returning - they are open 7 days a week from 8AM to 8PM.

10 out of 10! You have to check this place out. This is a brand new restaurant that just opened up. The decor is beautiful and vibes are friendly and welcoming. The food and service is out of this world. We tried the Rose shrimp pasta, Seafood Pan Roast, Pepperoni Pizza, Pao de Queijo, Pork belly bao and some fancy drinks to wash it all down. The lychee soju cocktail was paired well with this meal. Now the service was also amazing. Everyone had smiles the entire time, you can tell this is a family oriented restaurant. Got to see the Chefs in action and the owners of the restaurant were even serving food out to us. Even the water tasted fancy. Check out some photos of our experience.

OK, the five-star is supposed to mean "great" and I truly think it's "great" that the area is getting a new restaurant... there seems to be other activity in that center, as well... who knows, we may get some sushi in there soon! If we dine out, we will get more places to dine out... and at some point this area might even become trendy! But the food ranged from three stars to five... The little cheese filled bread-type thingy that they bring out (for free) ahead of the meal was really tasty and interesting and fun.... Pão de queijo? The brick chicken was pretty bland... the skin was on and not crisp at all so you are inclined to remove it unless you like soggy chicken skin. And once you remove it, you've removed all of the seasoning so you are left with a very meh piece of chicken. Also on the plate was some red mustard frill which, even at it's best, should not be the only ingredient in a salad (IMO) and to make it palatable, it was drenched with dressing... kind of uneatable. My wife loved the spaghetti and meatballs... I tried and it was good but the meatballs were kind of dry (tasted excellent tho) because the restaurant likes the look of them being presented sans sauce... and it is a pretty presentation. But makes for dry meat balls. Lastly... vibe. They have this very clean aesthetic going on... a very modern and kind of stark look. It's nice... feels kind classy. But it might be easy to confuse with a senior living facility dining room if you don't get the details right. Plastic plants make if feel more senior living facility. Having high chairs for babies lined up next to your table make it feel like you are in a Denny's storage room... I mean, if you need baby seats, you need baby seats... but if you are trying to convey elegance and finer dining, put them somewhere else. All that says to me is that I'm lucky the chairs were empty and that you regularly need three baby seats so there must regularly be three babies in the restaurant. Sorry... babies are cool at times but I wanted a sleek place with a quiet bar area. (They have the bar area but not sure if they serve hard alcohol.)

We came here on Thursday night with a group of 8. It was not too busy but the service was off, it took 15 minutes for our Sprite to find the table, after the other drinks were already placed, and one of the entrée orders came out much later than the others. Generally speaking, I liked this place, it has a lot of potential. The dining room is huge with big open-air ceilings. The ambience was great, with a refreshing white finish throughout. For starters, the bread is really good. We also had the fried calamari appetizer, which is served with lime aioli & house-made marinara sauce - YUM (A grade). For my entrée, I had the shrimp miso pasta - spaghetti pasta with large prawns, Korean fermented soybean pasta with bacon, garlic & wild mushrooms. It was super rich, but an 'A' grade. My wife had the sugo sliders - (3pc) Korean soy glazed ground kobe beef patties, served in Kimchi reduction sauce infused with house-made 1000 island, pepper jack grilled cheese, shaved lettuce & grilled onions, this was another 'A' grade. I will definitely come back again and see how they are progressing; I hope the restaurant sticks.

This restaurant is in the PV Mall, right across from Good Stuff on the second floor. It's spacious and has a high-end vibe. They kick things off with complimentary pão de queijo, which is a brazillian cheese bread and it was soft, chewy, and so delicious. It was a great first impression. The pasta and the sauce are all made in house according to our waitress. Everything was delicious! The prices are pretty reasonable for the quality, and the decor is beautiful. Modern and classy but not over-the-top. It's a great spot whether you're meeting up with friends/family, birthday celebration or a date! They even got high chairs and a kids menu if you have little ones. The only downside is that it's on the second floor of the mall, so it might be a little tricky for anyone in a rush to eat or mobility issues to get there (you can take the escalator or elevator to the second floor in the mall if needed). Other than that, it's definitely worth checking out! It's a super great addition to the mall.

This place is really cute inside! There were some really good moments here. The Bao the cheese bread appetizers stood out. I would honestly recommend to just get a bunch of shareable things here so you can try different stuff. I wish the cocktails were a bit stronger. It felt like I was drinking some substance out of a kid's juice box.

I love how its decorated, simple modern interior. Service was great, we tried pan roast and pork bao. Pan roast was great, pork bao was bit too fatty for me. I am so glad we have nice restaurant to go in PV. I definitely would like to come back to try other dishes.

Beautiful interior of restaurant, lots of space, very bright, wheelchair /stroller accessible near elevator, wonderful friendly service, large serving sizes, fresh sauces and fresh homemade soups. Flavors might be a little too unique for young kids. Highly recommend for a great find in PV!

Restaurant located in a pretty dead mall but I was excited to try this place out after seeing their name pop up on my restaurant search! The cheese bread is a must! So good! We got their chicken sliders, salad, truffle pizza and fries. Salad and sliders were both a bit too sweet. Fries were just regular fries nothing special. The pizza was good though. Cute little place. Might want to go back to try their entrees

Stopped in for lunch today. I will be totally honest, it was definitely not operating at peak hours on a Monday afternoon, but I was excited to check out a new place in the neighborhood. Let's start with the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is beautiful, wide open, light and airy and very well appointed. I thought I would sneak in to the bar area, but it didn't seem to be quite open. So I sat in the main dining area with a view of the kitchen. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the food came out fresh and rather quickly. I ordered the sliders and fries. I wish I would've gone for something a little bit more unique. The sliders were definitely high-quality and well prepared. The fries were served as a huge portion. Next time I would likely go for something less standard and obvious. The cocktail menu looked interesting, but since the bar wasn't open, I didn't dig too far into it. I am hopeful that I can come back soon and explore more of the menu -- which is a little confusing to be honest. Sugo has two translations; one in Korean and one in Italian. But then they also served me Brazilian cheese bread and had empanadas on the menu. I don't think this is a bad thing, but I do think that the concept doesn't really explain the menu fully. As a community, we lack nice restaurants in this area. The Peninsula is pretty isolated and rarely do we see restaurant openings. I hope the shopping center does continue to expand and it looks like there are more businesses moving in. I'll definitely be looking to Sugo again in the future. I have high hopes and don't think I did a great job, selecting drinks and dishes that would give me the best experience. Lastly, I will say that the website doesn't exactly give us a lot of information about what they are serving. Their Instagram claims to have brunch, but there is no brunch menu available online and there is no separate menu between lunch and dinner. The website menu is only photographs of dishes and not a menu with descriptions: For those reasons I feel like there could be more attention paid to their offerings and what people can expect when walking in. We'll be coming back. Bailey was my server and she was excellent.

They've done a great job renovating the former Luna Rosa restaurant in the Peninsula Mall. It's only week 3 so they need to work out the kinks but it's possible they could bring a much needed high end restaurant to PV. The menu is a fusion of Korean/Italian/Brazilian dishes with a modern decor. Tables are spaced far apart so they can definitely add additional seating if things pick up. No hard alcohol license at the moment just beer and wine and mocktails. Service is attentive but it's early and they need to learn a few things like giving a taste to a guest after opening a bottle of wine instead of pouring full glasses for everyone. They did not offer larger share plates when they knew we were sharing our meal. They also didn't include serving spoons to their dishes. Portion sizes are large and the food and flavors are good with some dishes not looking like the pictures on their website though. We were looking forward to the Pan Roast but it was not as advertised. Tasted good but was small in comparison to the pictures published by the owner. The pizza looked and tasted good but the crust wasn't what I expected. Very light and fluffy and not crispy at all even though it had a nice char. Would prefer a nice crunch on my crust. Green goddess kale salad was huge and tasted good but the kale pieces were huge and were wilted and not crisp. The cheese bread was really good and huge. The Branzino tasted good but the presentation hides the large fish underneath all the greens. Show off that fish! Prices are fair and overall I would come back after a couple months to see if they've ironed things out. There are other dishes I would like to try. I wish them the best.

I liked this place, has a lot of potential! This is about the 2nd or 3rd week since they've opened so expect some things that are still being worked out. But the service and ambience was really cool. The food has potential, the bread is really good. We tried the pecana and branzino and was satisfied for the price I will definitely come back again and see how they are progressing They have a really cool patio that I want to try when the weather gets warmer

What a gorgeous restaurant with wonderful servers taking care of you! The restaurant itself is just stunning--very crisp, clean and modern looking. Unique seating options with beautiful greenery and lighting everywhere. The pork belly baos were so flavorful as an appetizer. We had the seafood pan roast and the Rose Shrimp pasta dish--they were okay. The shrimp was a bit fishy tasting, but was perfectly cooked. Overall we enjoyed our time here. We look forward to coming back and trying other things off of the menu!

Everything was great. meat quality is makes a huge difference, Great portions, giant size shrimps, everything was flavored perfect. Price is about right, I didn't feel over charged, although the restaurant looks very upscale. Great addition to this mall. Service was great as well

The ambiance of the restaurant, both inside and outside, was absolutely stunning. It's so classy and clean. The staff were all so attentive and accommodating, checking on us often. The food was spectacular! I had the pork belly baos...I regretted sharing with others because it was so good. Each and every bite was so flavorful. Never had anything like it! I also got the Hot Honey Sopressata pizza - it ruined me because now no other pizza compares to the quality of this pizza. So impressed! Their pao de queijo was made like a popover and it was so good! So light and fluffy at the top and chewy on the bottom. I also had a bite of the octopus pasta - they handmade their pasta! I need to go back and try every single thing on their menu.

My friends and I decided to check out Sugo Social for dinner. As we walked in the ambiance was very pleasant. We walked in and they sat us right away. We sat at our table and to our shock there was an ant crawling around on the table, we trapped the ant under a plate and looked at each other shocked that there was an ant on our table. We told our waiter who decided to kill it with his finger, this made us lose our appetite pretty quickly. He walked away not saying anything else, but for a restaurant to have ants on their table is pretty gross. Then there was another ant on our table this one dead! I attached a photo of the dead ant, this was the second ant we saw on our table. We then proceeded to order our food we got the Fried Calamari, PÃO DE QUEIJO and the STONE POT KOREAN BIBIMBAP. The food came rather quickly. The food tasted good, and the price range wasn't bad, but the ants on the table make us question coming back. Our waiter didn't even offer to bring us a new plate or new napkins since the ants were crawling on the table, and we had to use our plate to trap the ant.

Saw this on my yelp radar and decided to give it a try. Made last minute reservations via yelp. Located in the PV mall this restaurant is a nice welcomed addition to a pretty quiet and empty mall. The restaurant looks upscale and chic. The menu is a nice fusion of Korean and Italian dishes. We ordered the hot honey sopressata pizza, corn chowder, spaghetti and meatballs and calamari. We were given the cheese popovers on the house. The standouts was the pizza and the cheese bread. I didn't care for the chowder because it was a cream soup and not the chunky style I expected. Service was friendly. Looking forward to trying the other dishes next time.

The good: This place is swanky, moody and spacious! I came twice (once for their brunch and another time for dinner) - both on Fridays. I liked how easy it was to make reservations online. They have an upscale and trendy feel that makes the place great for date nights or group dinners for special occasions. They are also very kid-friendly too however! They have a kid's menu, booster seats, high chairs, baby changing table in the bathroom as well as kids' stool, a kids' menu, kids plates/utensils (my daughter got a Paw Patrol one) and crayons and coloring papers. For dinner, I tried the bibimbap, pizza, empanada and a cocktail. For brunch I tried the Sugo tower for $42 and got the house made English muffin for an extra $2. I liked how we got mochi popovers as the complimentary bread. This place is definitely a great addition to the area. There's plenty of parking in the parking garage. The wood fired pizza was excellent and was something I'd order again for sure. I loved the texture and the small burnt bubbles. The spicy meat was also nice. I also loved the Korean touch of giving us scissors to cut the pizza. The bibimbap came in the stone bowl that allowed for the rice to get crispy and delicious. The empanadas were nice too with shredded chicken inside and it was served atop a salad. A lot of the cocktails are soju-based and many were lychee flavored. The bad: I asked for over medium eggs but got sunny side up eggs. The tower was supposed to come with Japanese-style fluffy pancakes but they didn't have it when we came so they subbed it for regular pancakes. The pancakes were still fluffy and tasted good but reminded me of the flavor of pancakes from the box mix. The chocolate chip cookie was extremely rich and the matcha cookie was too sweet with too much matcha flavor (very condensed flavor). Some of the strawberries in the tower weren't as fresh. The tower was a fun concept but it felt like eggs and sausage shouldn't be served on it because it was hard to transfer the eggs without the yolks breaking. The English muffin was salty. The cocktail was good but didn't seem complicated and wasn't impressive for the price. I wish its presentation was a little more elevated. The interesting: The bathroom has complimentary mouthwash.

Nice ambiance. You walk in knowing you will be pampered. We shared the appetizer platter. Very generous portions of yummy treats. Enough for a meal for 3 of us. We got to sample a little of everything. Service was very good. Servers were friendly and presented the food well.

TLDR: superb food, amazing service, beautiful ambiance We had a late lunch here today, and it was beyond expectations, especially for a soft opening. The space is gorgeous, very light and airy, and with a generously sized additional outdoor patio space with heat lamps. The staff are fabulous: professional, warm, and very knowledgable about the menu. The food is excellent--it's a hybrid menu, and everything we had was perfectly executed--the flavors were spot on. Bravo, Sugo! We hope you have a lot of success!

Tasty but has room for improvement. We tried the pan roast, hot honey pizza, rose prawn pasta, octopus pasta, modena salad, and lemon tart. Also had complementary pao de quejo. Favorites were the pao de quejo and pizza. The pizza and the focaccia that came with the pan roast came out overly charred, but the pizza would have been perfect otherwise. Octopus pasta was extremely salty and the noodles were too thick. Rose pasta was tasty and saucy, but there were only 2 prawns and they were also overdone. Pan roast was pretty forgettable with mushy rice. We also thought service was understaffed and lacking for a moderately priced place, though we did visit on a busy holiday.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my unfortunate experience during the soft opening. I took my sister here for her birthday, and there were only three tables occupied in the entire place so i assumed that the chance the service was going to be pretty quick was high. Things started off poorly when our first round of drinks arrived after our appetizer. Then, they forgot to put in our main course order. They apologized and assured us it would be out right away. During that interaction, I said it was completely fine and asked for a second glass of wine. When the food finally arrived (still no second glass of wine), they brought the check shortly after. When I reviewed the bill, I noticed I was charged for two glasses of wine, even though I only received one. I asked the waitress to remove the charge for the missing glass, but she questioned me and pointed to my first glass as if I was mistaken. I explained that the glass on the table was my first and only glass. She removed the charge but slightly gave the impression she didn't believe me. As if that wasn't enough, when I went to pay the bill online, I noticed their suggested tip amounts were grossly inflated. Our bill was $116, yet the suggested 20% tip was listed as $46--double what it should have been. A proper 20% tip would have been $23. This felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of customers, especially those who may not catch the discrepancy. Lastly, I found it odd that they don't serve hard liquor, though that's not a dealbreaker for me and it was nice they brought my sister a cookie for her birthday. However, based on the poor service and questionable practices, I'm unlikely to return.

Forget about that they don't have a liquor license, Forget that it looks like a Cheesecake Factory inside. We order two $28 hot stone bowl Biphimbap for here and a steak to take home at the end. Literally less than 10 minutes after we ordered the steak comes out in a a doggy bag to go. How did they not get the memo to stagger a Togo order an exit timing. So that's cold and tired. Then one bibimbap comes out after 20 minutes. Oversized and overly meaty for the Korean dish, but okay. They give you 1/3 of a tiny ramekin of watery Kojujang chili paste and another half full of kimchi. I asked for extra. Then waited and waited with the (server alerted) that we were still waiting for the other bibimbap. Finally it came 30 minutes after the first one came out!!!! 40 minutes after the steak. All we got from the server was "I hope it was worth the wait". Insult to injury , they charged extra for an extra chili paste. It's too bad, because we'd like to have a nice restaurant as we exit the Regal Theater. Instead we have an over priced poorly run place that should be renamed "Sugo Somewhere Else"

I did not have a great experience. I had a cocktail which I asked them to make non alcoholic due to me being pregnant and it took like 20mins by that point I just wanted to cancel and was fine with water. The salad was very dry and lacking flavor. The ambiance is the best part. It's designed beautifully with a lot of natural light. Due to the ambiance I was curious about holding an event there. I figured the problems were due to them being new and I would give them another shot. Unfortunately, I've reached out multiple times with zero response. It's been over two weeks. Overall, poor hospitality and disappointing.

We recently tried Sugo for lunch, and were very impressed! With their interesting blending of Asian/Latin/Italian flavors, "Sugo" (meaning sauce or effort depending on translation) manages to make for a really fun place to dine! We were informed everything was house made - from the pasta to the sauces to the pastries and more. We first rec'd a complimentary cheese puff bread that was like a popover meets Brazilian pão de queijo. They were super tasty, pillowy, and lots of cheese flavor without it being to rich. Like little clouds of cheesy goodness. I ordered the shrimp pasta and my wife got their chicken empanadas. My pasta was excellent! The sauce was well crafted and not too creamy. The pasta was outstanding and I could tell it was house made. My wife's empanadas were also very good. The seasoning inside was flavorful, but the crust was ludicrous! It had vibes of Jamaican patty crust. Just a lot of flavor for a crust that was also just crispy and just soft enough. We look forward to trying more here!

Very tasty truffle pizza. Definitely recommend, but Don't forget your chewing gum, you will need it.

New restaurant. Would have given a better rating but they are still working out the kinks and struggle with execution. That said they have the potential to be something great with unique and innovative fusion of flavors. Rice for seafood pan roast I'm guess was pre-prepped resulting in an unappealing glutinous glob - they have to be able to nail the basics. Food did not make it to the table at the same time leaving some in the party sitting without entrees for 20min or more and others food getting cold. Once the food arrived it was well prepared and delicious. Hoping they will have it all worked out soon so we can return for a delicious dining experience.

Yummy in my tummy....what else is there to say? Fantastic service, the space was clean and open, will come again :)

Great new place in PV. Lots of unique options. Sat at the bar area that I think had better seating than the regular tables. We will be back.

What a beautiful space!! Went for lunch but look forward to going for girls night/date night. Cheesy popovers and rose pasta were very tasty! I think they're still in the "launch" phase and the server told us they will be adding more to the menu, can't wait to come back!

The hospitality was great and very attentive. I had the seafood pot with rice and it was excellent! Would highly recommend going.

Fred one of the owners seated us at bar with no reservation and made all our drinks, outlined all the food choices including steering one of us clear of glutens for which there were many choices including their specialty cheese bread! All dishes were unique and great. Rec highly on the hill.

So many great things to say about this place. The food was so flavorful! We ordered the appetizer platter and everything had such a distinct flavor. The popovers were such a treat being savory, cheesy and buttery. What more can you ask for? The ambiance is just gorgeous and very high end. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Visited for lunch and had a very good experience. Ambiance and service were on point. The hot honey sopressata pizza and Modena salad were amazing. Always looking for good fries so we tried those too, but they were just ok. Felt like they were missing something. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Food is not good. Menu has food stains on them. Restaurant is nice and clean though. Can't think of any other positives.

The food is very creative and delicious. We had the chicken lettuce cups, pork belly baos and shrimp miso pasta. Great Korean spices and super fresh. Really attentive staff. We'll be back!

We went last week to check out Sugo as I heard great things about the food there. We were blown away by the food and service! Everything we ordered went beyond our expectations. We had a table for 10, but the servers came often and answered all our questions. Can't wait until we go back.

Had the best experience. Food was beyond delicious. Ambiance was fantastic and management was so accommodating. It was nice seeing signs saying they were open bc it seems closed if you don't walk all the way up the stairs. 10/10 would recommend. By far my new favorite restaurant. The mall needed this!!!

Very classy ambience. Interior looks amazing and photo worthy everywhere you turn. Service was top notch attentive. Our table had the seafood pan roast, picanha, corn chowder, pork baos, hot honey pizza, gnocchi, miso pasta and NONE disappointed to say the least. Everything is made fresh in house from the pasta to the focaccia bread and was cooked to perfection. Have to go back for the branzino and truffle pasta. They currently have beer and wine but was told they're in the process of acquiring a liquor license so more great tasting cocktails are on the way. Last but not least, they give their version of cheese bread that is usually given in Brazilian bbq restaurants, with a side of garlic sauce and it was amazing. There is a much needed demand in PV for delicious food and places to go just to hang out and SUGO fits the bill!
