We came across the shop by chance. We were picking up pizza from Milly's and stopped here for dessert. IThe presentation of the bonbons lived up to the taste. We got the four pack with guava cheesecake, hojicha puff rice, panda coconut and Mexican hot chocolate. All of them tasted great. We are definetly coming back for more. I am also eager to try their other chocolate selections.

Love, love, LOVE Sugoi Sweets. Every bonbon I’ve tried has been unique, delicious, and creatively made. Their matcha soft serve is amazing and I love that it’s made with oat milk. Their caramels are soft and tasty. The matcha quinoa chocolates are my favorite. The hojicha powder is great to make lattes at home. Whenever I’m in the mood for a specialty sweet treat, Sugoi Sweets pops into mind first. It’s a great spot to grab a gift for friends and family as well. Service is always top notch. I wish they were open during the week, but I understand that crafting all their delicious treats take a lot of time and effort, so I’ll look forward to the weekends instead 🙂 Yes, can get a little expensive depending on what you purchase. But I believe it’s priced fairly when you consider the unique sweets you are getting.

Google
I can not give enough compliments to Sugoi. I have ordered 3 times in less than a month’s time. I love the unique flavor combinations, how smooth and velvety the bon bons melt in your mouth while wowing the taste buds. The caramels!! Holy moly DELICIOUS!! The matcha almonds are just too amazing to put into words. The ube sesame malt balls, heaven! If I ever travel to Chicago the trip will be because of Sugoi to experience in person. Reading other reviews I can’t wait to try matcha soft serve. I almost forgot the nougat. It’s all out of bounds tasty. I will be a customer for life. I can’t wait to try the actual matcha tea and everything Sugoi has to offer. Thank you so much for the passion!! It comes through in all your creations. Also LOVE the bon bon box art!! You all are ridiculously talented and I’m definitely reaping the benefits!!

Google
wanted to try sugoi sweets from both hearsay and wanting to cross yet another cafe for matcha off my list. heard a lot of good reviews from both google and tiktok but unfortunately, this place did not meet my expectations personally. i enter the small shop and wasn’t even greeted which i thought was a bit odd. while some girls were talking to the cashier, i decided to walk around and take a look at their matcha and their decor. i think their matcha powder is insanely overpriced for just a small bag. was trying to ask the cashier more questions about the matcha — if they do any type of cold foam on top and just trying to get a better description of what i should expect from the matcha latte. i could tell the girl was getting quite flustered? for lack of a better word. and she just kept saying “i’m not sure”. so i just told her it’s fine and ordered a reg strawberry matcha with oatmilk. now the matcha itself — is where the 2 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ come in. as you guys can see in the first picture there was barely any matcha powder in my drink. maybe 15% matcha and 45-50% milk with only a drizzle of strawberry puree syrup is what it seemed like. the matcha was BARELY strong and i could barely taste it. was super watery as well. i really enjoy a very earthy and strong taste in my matcha but still like a little bit of balanced sweetness. i feel like i didn’t get any of that and i was left so disappointed. toward the last sip of my drink it became so increasingly bitter that i legit coughed so hard because it went down the wrong way. never has that happened to me before while drinking matcha. now maybe this place isn’t just the place for matcha latte’s and that’s understandable. i would like to come back to try their actual deserts and matcha soft serve but for now, i will gladly try other cafes for their matcha and come back to this one at another time.

Google
I've enjoyed Sugoi by ordering their chocolates online so I was very excited to visit the store front. It's a small store front with no seating. We went around 5 PM and they had quite a few chocolates left. We got a few bon bons and they gave us a sample of the matcha soft serve. It was a cold weekend but it was very delicious! I would have ordered some of it if hadn't been so cold outside. I would definitely recommend stopping and Sugoi if you are looking for chocolates and connections like caramels and malt balls with a little bit of a Japanese or Asian flair.

Google
I’m not a huge fan of chocolate bonbons, but SUGOi Sweets absolutely converted me. The bonbons are creamy/velvety/melt‑in‑your‑mouth and you can tell they’re made with high‑quality chocolate and ingredients overall. I loved the matcha soft‑serve which was rich but not overly sweet. If you love matcha and chocolate, this place is a must‑visit. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
The most delicious matcha lattes, mochi, and soft serve! Their bonbons are the perfect gift. We love having this locally owned gem in the neighborhood and are so thankful for what you bring to our community!

Google
Has lots of bonbons of unique flavors you won't find elsewhere. They're beautiful! Only con is that it's very overpriced, but that means it could be a great gift for special occasions.

Yelp
Sugoi Sweets had a booth at the Renegade Craft Fair in Wicker Park, and I couldn't help but take home a colorful box of their beautiful chocolates. While their box of six was "Chef's Choice", the gentleman there kindly showed me a few choices, and I picked one that avoided a flavor I tend not to like. Over the course of the next several days, I made my way through the box and was absolutely blown away. Each piece had an amazingly thin, perfectly tempered crisp chocolate shell, with a smooth filling bursting with intense flavors. I thought their quality and flavor made them absolutely worth the premium price. I look forward to paying a visit to their storefront, both to get gifts and a little treat for myself.

Yelp
Extraterrestrial level visual appeal! This place has candy craft to a level we have never seen. Looking for a small treat to bring to Los Angeles, this place popped up on maps and immediately had our attention with the handcrafted bonbons looking like AI generated celebrity birthday treats. I cannot say the prices make it worth it, fifteen smacks for four little dewdrops in a colorful box. Chocolate bars from Asia, ice cream packaged in house, matcha and tea making items decorating the neat little shop, all combines to show off award ready big budget treats. There are few places I have been that properly wow with simple colors and presentation. We met with a patient lady behind the counter who wrapped up three lovely boxes sticking them in a beautiful bag. Chicago you done it again!

Yelp
A hidden gem with the most unassuming store front - they offer bonbons with unique flavors, matcha and ube soft serve, and other sweet treats! I usually only come when I need to restock on matcha, but always make sure to grab some soft serve to go - they don't skimp on portions or flavor. The bonbons, albeit expensive, are beautifully crafted and great for a special treat.

Yelp
This small colorful shop is phenomenal. These bonbons make the best gift and are so fun to cut/bite into and try all the flavors. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and can help you pick out anything you need chocolate-wise. They even had a nice selection for gf/df chocolate lovers. I had picked up the new collection of bonbons and they were a huge hit! I also grabbed a small raspberry vegan soft serve as a little sweet treat on my way out and I'm still dreaming about it!!

Yelp
Small space but very cute inside. Tried their matcha soft serve and yuzu bonbon. Both delicious. Determined to come back to try one of their chocolate bar and get some matcha.

Yelp
I've been there 3 times and the service was consistent. They were welcoming and friendly. Their soft serve was one of the best I've ever had and I didn't even know it was vegan.

Yelp
I was hosting a dinner party last night so wanted to pick up some small bonbons just to finish off the night when everybody was done and ready to go. I'm impressed by how many interesting flavors they have that you can choose from . The amount of attention and detail put into the design and flavor was amazing. Every single person that had one loved it, and even those people that tend to eat at nicer restaurants were complementing the presentation of the box, the candy, essentially the entire product. Whether you're just looking to treat yourself to a small indulgence on the way home from work, or looking to impress your Guests with a small bite at the end of the night to leave them with a sweet memory, I would highly recommend trying this place out. I will admit, it is a bit on the pricey side, but I haven't found anything else like these, alongside the wide range of flavors they have, and I think they're worth it. I'll be back soon.

Yelp
Really cute sweets shop in the city! I stopped in with a pal & had a great time. They happened to be serving adorable tiny hot chocolates with either a homemade strawberry or Ube marshmallow. The bonbons they serve are absolutely gorgeous. They sell singular bonbons, or you can create packages with a variety. They also sell other packaged sweets like chocolate bars & caramels. This would be a great local shop to stop by for birthday/anniversary/etc gifts!

Yelp
I mean, must I say more. These gourmet chocolates are very delicious and spot on with creative flavors. Husband and I was walking along Ashland and going into all the little boutique stores when we stumbled upon this colorful awning of a place. I've heard of them somewhere on social media somewhere so was very surprised to see a brick and mortar store. We tried the you pick 6 which was 22 dollars.. I know.. I had to take away one star for the price. But when we went home, we saw how BEautiful they were and also how crazy good it was. If you can afford them, I highly recommend them. If you can't, I recommend giving them as gifts, as I am certain whomever you gift this too will be very appreciative. Service was great!

Yelp
Bought four chocolate bonbons, loved them all. Very cute store, lots of options, it's amazing. Staff are all very nice, love the people there.

Yelp
Sugoi is an incredibly special place on so many levels. The bonbons are works of art, for starters - beautiful, iridescent-toned, perfectly shaped. Then there are these subtle, delicate flavors, with delightful Asian accents: pandan, yuzu, matcha, sudachi. The owner, Elle, is so talented and precise with what she does. Highly recommend any of the bonbons, the fruit caramels, and the raspberry almond dragees.
