Wagyu Sukiyaki Kyoto Chikarayama Shijo Kawaramachi Store

Highly recommend this place if you never try sukiyaki before. The server , Sana, was very friendly and cooked our food with care. All the courses were well presented. The rest of the staffs are also very welcoming and friendly and offer to take pictures with us and wish us enjoy the rest of the trip in Japan. Online reservation is available to avoid disappointment.

We came for lunch and it’s pretty quiet. All the staff super friendly and all the courses are really nicely prepared and super tasty! Sukiyaki is one of the things I want to try the most. I am able to get a reservation one day ahead. Three courses are prepped different and it’s a really fun experience. Will def come back again and if we are back in Kyoto.

Absolutely gorgeous staff, the food was so good that I overate and now I have to go home feeling super full! Not my favourite feeling but the food was just great! It was great fun watching the chef cooking for us and if you’re worth millions you can get the Kobe Beef! Highly recommended going to this place! Absolutely lovely!! Oh also make sure to book because they can get busy

Ready for an experience? this is your place. We could not miss a Sukiyaki in Japan and this is a very good place to taste it. Superb food, very friendly staff, let them go with the flow and you’ll have a great meal. Top place

The wagyu here is amazingly tasty and tender. Small restaurant but very cozy and warm atmosphere. The staffs are friendly and cute. Btw, they really care about the food quality and customer experience. Even the wagyu was just a little bit overcooked, they served us with a new portion.

This restaurant is awesome! Excellently presented set meals with a balance between quality and price of the meat, definitely the place to go with friends for delicious sukiyaki! Just note, you will need to make a reservation before going. You can do that online or in person, if you're nearby. We arrived at around 5-10 mins early from our booking time (which you should probably do), and we were given our seats. The staff were very friendly, and knew English, which was great for having conversations.the atmosphere was also lovely, with many groups sitting together and having a meal. Each person needs to order a set, which differs in price and quality of the meat. (The better quality, the more expensive.) The presentation of the sets were very nice, and the staff will help you with the cooking and explaining how to eat the food. If you're wondering, the quality of meat in the mid range was already pretty good, and easy to chew, so you don't have to be looking too far in terms of money. Overall, a great restaurant to eat sukiyaki, and I highly recommend this place. 5/5

Great food. The meat was fresh, filling, and very tasty. Service was great. When I dropped my chopsticks, they immediately (within seconds without me even telling them) gave me new ones. Servers know a lot of English and I was able to very swiftly communicate with them + patient with my trial at Japanese lol. Overall a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

I came here with my family and we really enjoyed the food and the service. The service was so great. One staff told me that 90% of customers are foreigners so most pf staffs can speak English!! She also said this restaurant is the origin of meat cube, and it is my favorite one!!! The meat slice was also satisfying!! The service was really impressive, the staff was so friendly, she(Futaba-chan)started talking to me and we had some chilling conversation!
