"Sukoshi, the Charlotte-based sushi and poke restaurant from Indigo Road restaurant group (O-Ku, Donetto, Tiny Lou’s) opening this summer at Colony Square, includes a 30-minute, five-course omakase for $30 at its tiny sushi bar. The 2,000-square-foot, counter-service restaurant specifically caters to those interested in a quick meal during lunch or to-go ordering — aka midtown’s weekday workforce and weekend visitors. Dim sum like dumplings, buns, specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigiri as well as a cooler filled with pre-made foods like edamame and salads are offered on the menu for lunch and dinner. Everything can be ordered via the restaurant’s mobile app for pick-up and delivery. There’s also sake, canned wine, beer, and Japanese sodas like Calipico and Ramune available to drink. Sukoshi, designed by Powell Architects, seats up to 30 people at communal tables and banquettes along the back wall and five people at its chefs counter for the omakase. “Sukoshi is meant to be fun, whether you’re enjoying product at your desk, on your couch or at the restaurant,” Indigo Road partner Steve Palmer says in the press release. “The quality of food matches what you enjoy as part of an elevated sushi experience – with the attitude and efficiency of a fast-casual, health-minded destination.” Palmer, who also owns Oak Steakhouse and Colletta in Alpharetta, plans to host a series of pop-ups around Atlanta prior to opening, including at Colony Square and the upcoming Atlanta Food and Wine Festival." - Beth McKibben

After leaving the art museum, I walked to Colony Square for a quick bit to eat. I found Sukoshi and decided to eat there. I was greeted upon walking in and was able to take my time to look at the menu since they were not crowded. I decided on the Sukoshi poke bowl which had spicy tuna. While waiting on my order, I noticed how clean and organized the restaurant was. Since I ordered to go, the employee bought my food to wear in was sitting. When I got home, I noticed how beautiful the bowl was and it tasted even better. The rice did seem a little firm but the sauce helped soften it. Overall, I had a great, first experience and I'll definitely be back again.

I have had a pleasant dining experience a couple times. My sushi is always fresh tasting, the miso soup is yummy. The egg rolls are crunchy on the outside, and a little mushy on the inside, but flavorful. They greet you, but don't expect the welcome committee. Quick service, however, I always order pickup.

The menu options seemed great and I was craving sushi. I ordered the sushi roll combo because it was a good deal. The sushi quality was below what I would consider good. The spicy salmon roll did not taste fresh. It seemed as though everything was premade. I selected the seaweed salad as my side and it tasted off. It is unfortunate that this was my experience because the staff and atmosphere were nice. However, I was there for the food and it could definitely be improved.

I got a Bento Box for lunch with chicken. For $16 I expected quality chicken but it came with chopped up fatty chicken thigh. The salad it came with had NO dressing on it and none provided. Flavors of the veggies and chicken were pretty good. I'd come back to try their sushi which looked excellent but I'd skip the overpriced bento boxes.

Good sushi right by office buildings! A great option for lunch. Their katsu sandwich and pork belly buns are both delicious. My personal favorite is the “Sake to Me” Poke bowl; it has lots of salmon and I usually can’t finish the whole bowl in one sitting. They can be a little slow making the food so if you’re in a rush, I recommend ordering online ahead of time.

We visited here on a Saturday during lunch time. There were quite a few people in the Colony Square food court and the outdoor courtyard area, but there were no customers at Sukoshi at the time when we entered the restaurant. Nice decor and good dining furniture selection/design. The employees were courteous and friendly. Food ordering process was smooth and easy. They carry a few different types of Japanese salty and sweet snacks and drinks. The menu items are priced reasonably (considering that the restaurant is in a prime Midtown location). Food was well plated with standard sized portions. Food tasted good; nothing stood out - everything was as expected. The food temperatures were also well controlled. They had some issues with the fountain drink machine (they carry many unique soft drink flavors!). The employee had to turn the machine off and on a few times as it kept making beeping noises. As they are closed on Sundays, and during the Saturday lunch time when we visited we only saw very few customers. Hope on weekdays they have more business otherwise it would be hard for them to stay in business with this low customer volume.

This was my first visit to Sukoshi, and I was pleased. I did an online order through the app (which I feel is missing some options, but after speaking with the owner via email I found out they are already planning to implement shortly), and it took about 20 minutes, which isn't unreasonable in Midtown at lunch time. The good was great. Everything tasted fresh, the shrimp was great, and the servings were exactly the right size. The inside is clean and well decorated. The employees are friendly and greeted me immediately. I was disappointed to see there weren't chopsticks, napkins, and soy sauce in the bag, but I'm not going to hold that against them. Overall, good food, reasonable prices, and good service. I'll be back!

Had to wait a little while for the cashier, but that was not a real issue. After asking what was the best on the menu we decided for the spicy rainbow roll and chicken bowl. Turns out the chicken bowl was just chicken nuggets covered in sauce with cold rice, the rainbow roll was the tiniest roll I’ve ever seen for $14 honestly gas station sushi is bigger and better. The soda machine didn’t even have ice and every drink was flat with no carbonation atmospheres cute but I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
