Sukoshi Opening at Colony Square in Midtown, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"Sukoshi, the Charlotte-based sushi and poke restaurant from Indigo Road restaurant group (O-Ku, Donetto, Tiny Lou’s) opening this summer at Colony Square, includes a 30-minute, five-course omakase for $30 at its tiny sushi bar. The 2,000-square-foot, counter-service restaurant specifically caters to those interested in a quick meal during lunch or to-go ordering — aka midtown’s weekday workforce and weekend visitors. Dim sum like dumplings, buns, specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigiri as well as a cooler filled with pre-made foods like edamame and salads are offered on the menu for lunch and dinner. Everything can be ordered via the restaurant’s mobile app for pick-up and delivery. There’s also sake, canned wine, beer, and Japanese sodas like Calipico and Ramune available to drink. Sukoshi, designed by Powell Architects, seats up to 30 people at communal tables and banquettes along the back wall and five people at its chefs counter for the omakase. “Sukoshi is meant to be fun, whether you’re enjoying product at your desk, on your couch or at the restaurant,” Indigo Road partner Steve Palmer says in the press release. “The quality of food matches what you enjoy as part of an elevated sushi experience – with the attitude and efficiency of a fast-casual, health-minded destination.” Palmer, who also owns Oak Steakhouse and Colletta in Alpharetta, plans to host a series of pop-ups around Atlanta prior to opening, including at Colony Square and the upcoming Atlanta Food and Wine Festival." - Beth McKibben

After leaving the art museum, I walked to Colony Square for a quick bit to eat. I found Sukoshi and decided to eat there. I was greeted upon walking in and was able to take my time to look at the menu since they were not crowded. I decided on the Sukoshi poke bowl which had spicy tuna. While waiting on my order, I noticed how clean and organized the restaurant was. Since I ordered to go, the employee bought my food to wear in was sitting. When I got home, I noticed how beautiful the bowl was and it tasted even better. The rice did seem a little firm but the sauce helped soften it. Overall, I had a great, first experience and I'll definitely be back again.

Google
I have had a pleasant dining experience a couple times. My sushi is always fresh tasting, the miso soup is yummy. The egg rolls are crunchy on the outside, and a little mushy on the inside, but flavorful. They greet you, but don't expect the welcome committee. Quick service, however, I always order pickup.

Google
The menu options seemed great and I was craving sushi. I ordered the sushi roll combo because it was a good deal. The sushi quality was below what I would consider good. The spicy salmon roll did not taste fresh. It seemed as though everything was premade. I selected the seaweed salad as my side and it tasted off. It is unfortunate that this was my experience because the staff and atmosphere were nice. However, I was there for the food and it could definitely be improved.

We visited here on a Saturday during lunch time. There were quite a few people in the Colony Square food court and the outdoor courtyard area, but there were no customers at Sukoshi at the time when we entered the restaurant. Nice decor and good dining furniture selection/design. The employees were courteous and friendly. Food ordering process was smooth and easy. They carry a few different types of Japanese salty and sweet snacks and drinks. The menu items are priced reasonably (considering that the restaurant is in a prime Midtown location). Food was well plated with standard sized portions. Food tasted good; nothing stood out - everything was as expected. The food temperatures were also well controlled. They had some issues with the fountain drink machine (they carry many unique soft drink flavors!). The employee had to turn the machine off and on a few times as it kept making beeping noises. As they are closed on Sundays, and during the Saturday lunch time when we visited we only saw very few customers. Hope on weekdays they have more business otherwise it would be hard for them to stay in business with this low customer volume.

Google
This was my first visit to Sukoshi, and I was pleased. I did an online order through the app (which I feel is missing some options, but after speaking with the owner via email I found out they are already planning to implement shortly), and it took about 20 minutes, which isn't unreasonable in Midtown at lunch time. The good was great. Everything tasted fresh, the shrimp was great, and the servings were exactly the right size. The inside is clean and well decorated. The employees are friendly and greeted me immediately. I was disappointed to see there weren't chopsticks, napkins, and soy sauce in the bag, but I'm not going to hold that against them. Overall, good food, reasonable prices, and good service. I'll be back!

Google
I got a Bento Box for lunch with chicken. For $16 I expected quality chicken but it came with chopped up fatty chicken thigh. The salad it came with had NO dressing on it and none provided. Flavors of the veggies and chicken were pretty good. I'd come back to try their sushi which looked excellent but I'd skip the overpriced bento boxes.

Google
Sukoshi is a nice place to eat at! They are people who care about customers, really provide great service, and take feedback well. I enjoyed the eating there with friends. Particularly, the Ube ice cream was delicious and refreshing. Finding ube flavors is a rarity, but it is a must have when eating out with friends.

Google
WOW. For a cute and casual spot, the food is NO JOKE here. We had the shrimp appetizer, beef and broccoli bowl, and spicy tuna rolls for dinner--couldn't pick a fave because it was all so yum. For dessert we had this mysteriously delicious soft serve, turns out it was miso and caramel flavored! Woweee what a great meal, and the staff were so lovely checking on us the whole time we were there. We will be back!

Yelp
Super unfortunate to have to give 2 stars!! From the outside, it seems as if it would be high grade sushi. The prices are in line with that thought as well. It's comparable to sushi you would get at the mall. So disappointed.... The service is pay at the counter and then it gets brought out to you. When you're done, trash goes near the entry. Ambiance was decent, lots of light, high top tables with uncomfy stools, and normal tables and hard seats.
google avatar

Yelp
I was in Colony Square looking for a quick and simple lunch. Customer Service was pleasant it wasn't too busy, so the ease of the ordering was excellent. The ambiance is chill and quiet. The menu selections were straightforward, with no hassle having to ponder over so many options. They have sushi or gluten-free plus dairy free options, ramen, salads, and poke bowls, to name a few items off the menu. All the ingredients were fresh, and it's all reasonably priced. They also have happy hour deals, which are amazing..if you're in the Midtown area looking for something quick and casual, give them a try at least once.

Yelp
I ordered the sushi roll combo (Veggie Roll and Tofu Roll) with a Mango Tea. The tea was delicious. I think the combo is a bit overpriced. I think I've gotten better sushi for less in Atlanta but that's not to say I wouldn't come back. In a pinch, it is a good option.
google avatar

Yelp
Really cute sushi place in Colony Square. It's a fast-casual restaurant concept where you order at the counter receive a buzzer and pick up your order once it's ready. The sushi was extremely well priced and fresh. It's not 5 star sushi but it's still very good. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have soups, salads and the sushi combos are a pretty good deal.

Yelp
It's near the arts museum so it's very convenient if you want to stop by for a meal. When you step inside, it gives me LA vibes. You go in and order at the counter, and I got the rainbow poke bowl. My total came around to $18, and they do charge for extra sauce. The service could be better, like it can definitely be more welcoming but overall it's fine. The portion was more than expected, but still think it's a bit much for $18. A downside to the poke bowl is that the bowl did get soggy at the bottom, so just be aware of that. Overall, it's a nice, cute, and convenient place to stop by for a meal.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorites! First off, the location has ample seating options and is inside a cool area where you can take your food to go, which is what we did. Prices were great for the portions we got! The fried rice did taste a bit too seasoned which is hard to believe I'm saying... But it was fresh and a good portion size. We also ordered a poke bowl and order of sushi and it was equally fresh and tasty! Service was great and they took time to answer our questions as first timers!

Yelp
This is my favorite sushi place in Atlanta since 2020. Great sushi, miso soup and spring rolls. I love their combos. The personnel is very nice and fast. Great place for a quick lunch. Also they have patio tables.
google avatar

Magda N.

Yelp
Got the lunch special. It comes with 2 semi-small rolls, salad, and a drink for total of 20 bucks. Not a bad pick for fresh lunch. Interior looks cute but food is nothing mindblowing.

Yelp
After my fitness class, I dropped by Colony Square to see if I can fulfill my craving for ramen. I decided to give Sukoshi a try since I haven't been here before. The restaurant is squeaky clean and I love the interior design! The menu looked great, too, but because the place was going to close in half an hour, I ordered the Chicken Ramen to go. The ramen looked amazing but unfortunately, the taste wasn't. Maybe the flavor would've been better had I ate it inside the restaurant. At home, it was completely bland. And I'm not sure why the entree was called a Chicken Ramen when the main item - wontons - had pork filling. I might give Sukoshi another chance by trying their sushi, but I would avoid this place for ramen if that's what you're specifically in the mood for.

Yelp
I love Sukoshi the interior and exterior is beautiful. It's plopped right in colony square but you can see the bright pink sign from the street. It makes me happy when I drive past. I've mainly ordered sushi from here - the sushi roll combo is a great deal. $18 for 1 signature roll, 1 basic roll + spring roll AND you chose seaweed salad or miso soup. I always go with the seaweed salad. My go to order is the red dragon roll (shrimp tempura, avocado topped with spicy crab and friend onion - SO GOOD) + salmon roll. If my boyfriend wants in I will swap the red dragon for citrus salmon, which is also delicious. I think you have to manage your expectations for a place like this... it's not going to be Nobu quality. It's a quick & cheap, grab + go type place. Although I imagine if you work in the area it's a nice place to stop in and grab lunch. The restaurant itself is very clean. The employees behind the counter are always super nice. Pictured below is the avocado roll. It's my usual pickup for a quick snack, especially when I have food at home. It is delicious. The only bummer is that it doesn't come with ginger cause I do love me some ginger. But I have no complaints about this place, they've never done me dirty. My next goal is to order the rock shrimp - I'll update when that day comes!

Yelp
I ate here with a friend in February. It wasn't a busy night, and we were able to find a seat after ordering at the counter. I got the curry and we shared one of the appetizers (forgot which). I liked the reasonable price range and limited menu as sometimes too many options gives me choice paralysis. It's not a super special experience but the taste is pretty great. The staff was also friendly, helpful, and patient for someone who takes forever to decide on what she wants.

Yelp
A fast-casual Sushi joint offering just the right amount of Sushi Rolls, Dim Sum, Bowls, Salads, Saki, Wine & Beer. The Cashier was kind & helpful extending welcoming vibes on behalf of the quiet prep/kitchen staff. For a table of three - $90: 1. Sushi Roll Combo with the Green Goddess Veggie, Roll, Veggie Dumplings, a Seaweed Salad & a Drink. 2. Sake to Me Bowl with Tuna & Crab Rangoon, the Wonton Crunch overpowered the bowl. 3. Sukoshi Rock Shrimp (think Bang Bang style) Bowl & Brocolli. 4. Veggie Spring Rolls 5. 3 Absolute Can Cocktails 6. 1 Mini Bottle of Cab *There are additional charges for extra sauces & nonwater cups. Reasonably priced for the fresh-made & light portions. Inside dining is quaint with a few tables & individual cushions for the benches. A small & enclosed sidewalk patio. Nonedible retail products like books, cups &, etc for sale. Happy Hour is from 3p-5P M-F offering about 10 items of Appetizers, Rolls & Bowls. Located adjacent to Colony Square. The Valet is available for all the neighboring eateries, yet pretty expensive: 0-1 hours $15 1-2 hours $25 & over 2 hours $35.

Yelp
A friend and I were walking around midtown and stopped by Colony Square for food. We didn't see anything in the food hall that caught our eye but noticed this place on the way out and decided to check it out. Very cute on the inside with various choices on the menu. My friend got the chicken katsu while i tried the curry katsu. We realized the differences of the katsu was the sauce and the curry topped on top. Overall food was delicious, both plates came with an egg roll and a drink. Great place for good food and a great deal!
google avatar

James T.

Yelp
The food was practically inedible. The miso soup tasted like it was make with dishwater. The shrimp dumplings were nothing more than spongy onion bombs, and the shrimp tempura roll was clearly rolled by a toddler with dexterity challenges given how it crumpled between my chopsticks like my hopes and dreams of a delicious meal. Shameful.

Yelp
I work down the street from this location at the newly renovated Colony Square. It's located on the side facing Peachtree by Starbucks. The menu has typical crowd pleaser sushi rolls as well as bowls and some vegetarian and vegan options. It's one of the places that my office team can all find something to eat. I am pescatarian with 90% of my food consumption being vegan and vegetarian. I have tried both seafood and the vegan and vegetarian options. The presentation is typically attractive and the portion sizes are decent and I usually have leftovers to enjoy later. The seasoning on the food tends to be light to bland. Maybe they are trying to be cautious and allow patrons to choose their own spice level. Every time I dine here I am reaching for the various condiments on the table or asking for ponzu from the counter to add flavor to the food. All of the beverages for dining in and carry out are served in plastic with plastic straws. Ugh.. lots of plastic waste and straws to damage the environment. I bring my own Yeti bottle prefilled with filtered water from my office when dining here. It's painful to see the sheer volume of plastic waste generated. I also bring my own plastic containers for my leftovers. Overall I do like this place for lunch and will continue to hope that they make changes to limit waste, use compostable containers and encourage patrons to bring their own containers for leftovers.

Yelp
My friend and I came to Colony square for an evening of yoga, and Sushi was decidedly the best top off for the night. Sukoshi is just a few steps away from the square center right across from 5church. This is a casual sushi spot with pretty nice options and really decent prices for their rolls. You can also get a sushi roll combo with your choice of two rolls, one premium and one basic, it comes with a spring roll, drink, and your option of miso soup or salad for $18. This is a definite recommend especially now when the weather's nice as they do have some outdoor seating. So after you order you can go grab a spot outside.

Yelp
They were so delicious! We wanted to try something new today and stopped by Colonial Square, saw this at first glance and decided to try it out. The veggie ramen was so delicious! It was so savory! I did wish I had more vegetables. My husband got the teriyaki rice bowl which was also delicious. Definitely give them a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem. After walking through the High Museum we walked a bit and came upon this restaurant. It's a small indoor dining area and outside seating available as well. Food is made fresh Food is delicious. Not a large menu but the offerings were well rounded. Definitely a must stop and check out!
google avatar

Yelp
happy hour selections for $15 in the picture - i'd say it's a steal! they give u a parking voucher if u purchase more than $10. is go again for happy hour!
google avatar

Coryn M.

Yelp
Stopped by after a work event for a quick bite. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had the chicken katsu and crab Rangoon. The chicken was great. Super crispy and generous portion. The crab Rangoon was fried nicely and extra crispy but had no flavor at all, very very bland. I'll come back and try the poke which looked great!
google avatar

Yelp
my friend and i were so excited to try sukoshi because of their advertised happy hour (monday-saturday 3-5pm on their website -- $5 rolls and rice bowls) when we arrived to order, the cashier said that happy hour just changed that week to monday - thursday (we went on a friday) and that they couldn't honor it. we showed the manager their current website and he said he couldn't honor it because now it's different. we found this kind of unreasonable since their website and advertising is contradictory to what they said. when i worked in customer service, we definitely would've honored it. we would've ate somewhere else but we walked all the way there so we shared a combo of a speciality roll and a basic roll ($19) it came with a california roll (it was okay), salmon roll (it was good but messy with all the toppings), salad (the house dressing was extremely watery), and a spring roll (tasted like a normal frozen roll). yes, the interior and branding of this restaurant is very cute and aesthetic. but not honoring happy hour kind of ruined the experience for us. other people behind us had come in too for the happy hour and were turned away. for the quality of the food, it is definitely overpriced (given the colony square location) and i wouldn't come back unless the food was $5.

Yelp
Came back a second time to try those poke bowls... * The Rainbowl ($15): YIKES. Thank goodness I asked for all the fruits to be on the side because the mangoes (yes, you read that right) were super sour. I felt bad for my coworker who got stuck with super sour mangoes. The salmon, tuna and yellowtail cuts were pretty big but very fishy. I couldn't even finish my bowl. Besides the fishiness, it was flavorless. There weren't many sauces in the bowl to mask the taste either. I ended up having to ask for some sesame oil and spicy mayo to drizzle on top. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sukoshi-atlanta-atlanta?select=WNhOfg7N74aeqiiJ8AoLWA&utm_campaign=www_photo_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) *Sake to Me: Very bland and fishy too. The Sake to Me bowl had avocado cream on top for those of you who are avocado lovers. The cream adds some flavor to the bowl, but not enough. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sukoshi-atlanta-atlanta?select=pXne0xXBSp6ruAyrgB3PEw&utm_campaign=www_photo_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Sorry, but I don't think I will return. Yes, the bowls are more filling than the rolls however, there's a better poke spot a block away.

Yelp
Located in colony square in midtown atlanta. Sukoshi is a sushi restaurant that has a fast and ready sushi for on the go when you need good sushi for a quick fix i definitely recommend checking this place out. You can eat inside or get it to go to eat on their cute outdoor seating. the whole store vibe is super trendy atmosphere. While looking at the menu, i was pleasantly surprised to see that the prices were super reasonable. For drinks they have slushies, beers, cold sake, and soda. For Entrees though they have a pretty decent menu offering sukoshi combos containing multiple different options or a la carte rolls, bites, or bowls. I got the Tuna Wrapped roll ( 8 pieces for $12) with crab rangoon (4 pieces for $5) I was super impressed with how fresh the tuna wrapped roll was and the crab rangoon was super filling. so for $22 with tip i had a very filling lunch which is impressive for midtown haha only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because unfortunately they dont validate parking but still go and you can check out the other cool things at colony square after ‍
google avatar

Yelp
Sukoshi is the perfect area - colony square! There is so much to do. Sukoshi fits right in with the vibe. The inside is super cute and I love how simple their menu is. I've already visited twice, and I always get the same few rolls but I've also tried their shrimp bowl.
google avatar

Brandon H.

Yelp
First time coming here today and the food was great! I love me some sushi!! I ordered the spicy tuna sushi and Curry Katsu! It taste amazing! I will be back!!

Sophie G.

Yelp
It looked cute but they played extremely distasteful music. Food was SO expensive for the small portion size and poor quality. I ordered the chicken ramen and the noodles were overcooked. The wasabi salmon was completely tasteless and literally served on cardboard paper. Don't go here if you're looking for good food :/
google avatar

Anika R.

Yelp
I can see why white collar workers in the Midtown area would come here for lunch during the work day - it's convenient and it's a great location. They have a to-go pick up section as well. However, the food here is subpar. My friend at I tried their bowls and they were probably one of the worst sushi bowls we've had. Definitely would not go here again.
google avatar

Marian D.

Yelp
Nothing fresh Liked / liked / liked/ liked/ liked / liked /liked / liked / liked / liked / The lady/server noticed that we were not enjoying our meals and brought pan steamed dumplings instead of fried. They tasted regular, like in a standard Chinese restaurant. Decor is cute and inviting. Dislike - Dislike - Dislike - Dislike - Dislike - Dislike - Dislike - Dislike The pan steamed shumai was completely fried tasted frozen. The pan steamed dumplings came out fried again previously frozen. Everything tasted like it came frozen and was deep fried it was not very tasty.
google avatar

Angelina K.

Yelp
They have a happy hour here from 3 to 5pm. The rolls that we ordered were 3 dollars each because of it. I was really happy with the service and the interior was quite cute. The restuarant also serves slushies with the option of adding a shot of alcohol to it. I was able to sample the yuzu lemonade, and I really liked it.
google avatar

Joseph R.

Yelp
So I've been meaning to try this in the colony square plaza and managed to find the time to go. The staff is kind and courteous and it's a very "hip" vibe in the restaurant. Free-WiFi too! I decided to get the combination which is a maki roll, a speciality roll, a spring roll and your choice of house salad or seaweed salad and miso soup. I decided to give the house salad a go along with the spicy tuna and vegetarian green goddess roll to go. The spicy tuna had noticeable heat and the tuna was freshly minced unlike many other establishments and the green goddess roll was sublime despite the slightly messy presentation. The only complaint I had besides the small menu was that the house salad did not taste fresh at all and was a very small portion. Other than that I have no complains and will return.
google avatar

Dominique N.

Yelp
Not the fanciest/most elaborate sushi, but great for the price and tasty options. Go to place near me!
google avatar

Fahrina H.

Yelp
Sushi happy hour? Say no more, I am there. A very casual spot with tons of food specials between 3-5 on weekdays. Their patio is very cute with just a few tables, if the weather is nice I would highly recommend sitting outside. You have to go inside to order; my friend and I ordered an assortment of their happy hour specials. The yellowtail roll, spicy salmon, chicken katsu bowls, crab rangoons and spring rolls. Everything is 3-5$! which is an absolute steal. The rolls were definitely my favorite. Sukoshi is really at a wonderful location, at the heart of midtown. They don't have attached parking, just walk a little bit to park for free on 15th street. I will not hesitate to come back to Sukoshi for some quality food and service. I appreciate you guys!
google avatar

Cassie H.

Yelp
This is such a cute place, especially with its decor! The wait isn't too long, and the prices are very cheap for ATL. I ordered things from their happy hour menu, and the cost was relatively inexpensive!! The food was pretty okay, and the place was very clean. The quality of the sushi isn't the best, but it tasted fine.
google avatar

Holmes B.

Yelp
I just stopped by for a quick bite and though it has decent reviews I was super underwhelming as far as quality and freshness is concerned. The gyoza was ok not too bad not the best but the chicken rice bowl almost tasted like frozen food and I didn't expect that at all. It wasn't spicy but it was definitely soggy and kind of bland if you ask me. Perhaps I should've ordered sushi instead but this is only based on my experience.
google avatar

Chance L.

Yelp
The marketing and aesthetic of this place is great, but that's about where the positives end. The two workers here looked miserable and I felt guilty asking for a side of spicy mayonnaise. We had the Japanese chicken curry and the salmon poke bowl. Japanese chicken curry was not chicken katsu (which is what they advertise it as). The salmon on the poke bowl still had the brown part of the skin left attached. I know it's fine to eat, but the aesthetic of brown salmon isn't pleasing. There are so many different food options in the area, I'd go look elsewhere.
google avatar

Owen W.

Yelp
The staff here is incredible. So kind and will remember you if you are a return customer. Delicious food and I love the combo options! Very nice ambience inside. I'm a big fan of the mango iced tea as well.

Yelp
Sukoshi is a place where you have to be! The vibe here is clean and on point! The food is clean and cut You will not be disappointed!!
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
Sukoshi is amazing! FOOD: the food is on-point! My favorites to get are the Red Dragon Roll and the Tofu Roll but everything is pretty good here. DECOR: as you can see from the photos, everything is simple and clean. Being in the city, it's a nice trendy spot to get some good sushi. STAFF: all the workers are very friendly and warm. I especially like Hari who was super personable and recommended the right items to get. She was very attentive and made sure our experience was good. If you haven't tried Sukoshi, I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Yay, I AM a fan! Sukoshi definitely fits the bill for the perfect fast casual lunch spot. I am one of the lucky ones that lives, sometimes works, and plays in Midtown, so I am so happy to see Colony Square creating a vibrant food scene for us. I ordered the Tuna Paradise - think poke bowl. I love that you can order as a mega maki (maybe a big roll?), rice bowl, or on greens. I was opting for a lighter side, so I ordered the bowl on greens. I may ask to see if i could do half and half next time, because I did find myself wishing I had a lil something starchy. But the flavors were so good - nice and fresh with the fruit, perfect amount of kick, and my fave, seaweed salad on top! This place was definitely poppin' during the noon lunch hour - I was able to find a seat inside with one of my friends, but it was definitely a full house! It seems like a lot of folks order from the grab n go fridge, which seems to have similar options to the full menu - rolls, salads, etc. I will definitely be back to try more, maybe explore a few more of the rolls and have a slower meal around dinner - I do think the quality is decent and the service was quick! It's definitely not the cheapest lunch option, but I think they have nailed the aesthetic so I think you are paying for the ambiance and location.

Yelp
I'm so excited this place finally opened up right across from my office! An accessible fast casual sushi spot is exactly what I've been needing in my life. Don't let the long lunch time lines scare you away, this place truly is FAST casual, giving you the option to either pick something up out of the grab-and-go cooler, or order something to dine in. You don't have to wait too long for your food if you're dining in, either. There are a lot of options, too, considering the concept. When I came in, we decided on the pork gyoza, seaweed salad, the salmon citrus roll, and the red dragon roll, and I liked everything I tried! It's definitely not Oku, but given the price tag and convenience, you really can't beat it. I can't wait for their lunchtime Omakase menu to make its debut -- I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
We ordered through UberEats and they got our order right and quick. This place is great, especially for fast casual sushi. Very friendly customer service, food came out quickly, portions were more than great (ordered 2 rolls and couldn't finish them as I was so full). It's a no frills establishment with good food. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
The best thing about Sukoshi is the aesthetics and the staff! It's super cute inside and really Japanese style. The staff were so warm and nice and helped me put my order in. So, the reason that they only get two stars from me is because if the price to ratio of the sushi rolls!! This place is severely overpriced. Sometimes I don't mind overpriced if the sushi is exceptional, but truth is it's just good! See my picture of a main roll. And I got a 12oz can of Kombucha and paid $18. I was so disappointed when they brought me my plate.

Yelp
Edit 11/12/2019 - While the order came in a bit more quickly this time, I showed up at 3PM when it was largely dead. The score has been lowered, as while I got a California Roll and a Spicy Crab Crunch Roll that were both competent, it was blatantly apparent that I received egg rolls that were left out at room temperature for an hour before I was handed the tray. The plastic cup for the chili sauce left an indentation in the egg rolls, the oil had completely soaked through so they were best described as flaccid, and they had been sitting out so long they were colder than room temperature. Oh, and the soda machine wasn't working so I had to pay for boxed water. What a great second impression. I'm lowering my score from a 3 star to a 2 star. Meh, I've experienced better seems to sum it up nicely. --- Pertaining to my previous, 10/17/2019 Visit Ordered egg rolls, a yellowfin tuna roll, and a california roll. They all came in separate, enclosed boxes despite asking the order to be for here. I even got a table number so they knew it wasn't a to go order. To boot, this was an order that took 20 minutes to complete during a non-peak time (2PM) The yellowfin tuna roll was very thin, only six pieces. Even worse was one of the pieces was pushed up quite heavily into the wasabi. I suppose that isn't worse for me, as I enjoy wasabi but that is most certainly not an everyone sort of deal. Overall, the flavor was fine, the quality was okay except for the Yellowfin roll's portion size being lackluster. It's not bad, especially for a midtown area that doesn't have a ton of quickish sushi options, but it's fortunate that the competition is lacking.

Yelp
I was one of the people looking forward to Sukoshi opening, and have been a regular customer ever since. But TBH, I don't think I'll be in a hurry to come back. The food quality has significantly gone down since opening. On opening day, there was a lot of attention to detail, but ever since, quality has been hit or miss (a miss more often). They changed the recipe for the gyoza (and not for the better). The ramen noodles are of the instant variety with fresh ingredients mixed in. The sushi rice isn't consistently good, depends on the day. I love the convenience, but it's clear they've compromised on food quality. And with all the new choices popping up around colony square, it's not the best value .

Yelp
My review is only fried rice. Just a heads up. I don't eat sushi, however when I saw a bowl of fried rice on the menu, I said why not. It's at Colony Square and is something different that CFA and The Establishment. The friend rice portion is perfect for one person. It is flavorful and nicely seasoned. It has o ion and egg in it. I ordered through the app, but you can also walk up to the counter and order. The line can get long. To drink they carry a unique brand of soda that I have yet to try. Staff is so nice there and my food is ready to go. They have soy sauce on hot sauce on the side so you can fill cups and grab chopsticks if you like.

Yelp
I had the curry this week and it came out so hot that when I took my first bite it burned the roof of my mouth. This happened on Monday and today is Thursday. I'm still in a lot of pain, so much pain that i have a headache that does not go away. I can see the burn in my mouth-- the area is significantly large and makes eating/talking difficult and uncomfortable. Ugh :(

Yelp
WOW. For a cute and casual spot, the food is NO JOKE here. We had the shrimp appetizer, beef and broccoli bowl, and spicy tuna rolls for dinner--couldn't pick a fave because it was all so yum. and such a good price, I have no idea what these negative reviews are talking about. For dessert we had this mysteriously delicious soft serve, turns out it was miso and caramel flavored! Woweee what a great meal, and the staff were so lovely checking on us the whole time we were there. We will be back!

Yelp
Fapini served us very well. The food was splendid and service was great. Kind and friendly environment and very clean. Food came out in a good time and again the employees specifically Fapini was sweet.
