Japanese Convenience Stores Are Coming to America — Sort Of | Eater

"A Toronto-based Japanese-style convenience store that launched by focusing on imported packaged products and has begun preparing its own food as it expanded to multiple locations. Co-owner Linda Dang notes the operational challenges of curating and managing thousands of snack SKUs, which has shaped the store’s gradual move into offering more prepared, conbini-like items." - Tim Forster

I saw Plave's albums in this store a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised! I bought a pack of albums and also received the small cards I wanted. I hope the store can stock more Plave products in the future. Please!!I will support the store.🥰🫳❤️

Had the best experience picking Korean sconce products at the store! One of the workers - Erika, helped me with the selection. She helped to put together a step-by-step daily routine that I absolutely love right now! Erika was polite and patient, which made my experience very pleasant. Definitely recommend🙌

I went to Sukoshi to find a complete skincare routine for my dry skin, as I always used just a regular face cream. I had no clue about skincare or where to start, but the assistant Erica did a fantastic job. She spent almost an hour and a half with me, helping me choose the right products, for which I am really grateful. I was very cautious and meticulous cause it was my first time but Erica was very patient and kind, explaining the ingredients of each product. In the end, I found everything I needed and got some basic knowledge about skincare and I want to thank her for that)))

Came into Sukoshi Mart looking for a whole makeup routine. From shade matching foundations and concealers to finding the correct eye palette for my undertone. Tiffany was the associate that guided me on what products to use, and how to use them, even helping me pick out brushes for the products I bought. She was very attentive and always remembered small details. I will definitely be coming back and asking for her!

This Sukoshi Mart is hands down the best! Today’s visit only reconfirmed that. They have a great selection of skincare products and all sorts of fun finds, including blind boxes—with new lines every few weeks to keep things fresh. For anyone who knows the struggle, the blind box hunt is real—even more so when you’re searching for the one in the set as a gift. Huge shoutout to Kenney, Lindsay, Erika, Jensen, and Ariana for making the experience so much better! They were so helpful, enthusiastic, and just such a joy to chat with. It’s clear they really care about making every visit special. You’ve definitely earned a longtime return customer. Thanks again, team! You all deserve raises (or at the very least, some sweet treats from the company). Retail can be tough, but with a team this dedicated and welcoming, it makes you want to come back just to see them again!

Several days ago I was in the store and didn’t know what products to buy for my type of skin, one of the beauty consultants Erika helped me find the right skincare for my needs. She’s super kind and beautiful, and she clearly explained the ingredients and benefits of all the creams and serums that would work for me. I’ll definitely be coming back to this store!

Michelle was very informative and understanding when I asked her about which skincare products I should use concerning my sensitive skin. I have eczema, so I was a bit afraid at first. However, her recommendation has done wonders for me. Especially for this harsh winter, she actually helped me by making sure my skin stay moisturizer. Thank you Michelle!

Went into the store to get a new moisturizer. My favourite one was out, but Erika recommended me a new one based on my skin type and preferences. She was so kind and very knowledgable. I highly recommend this store.

Yelp
This is an Asian lifestyle store, focusing on Japanese and Korean products. It caters to the younger demographic. There is definitely a cutesy factor in their products. Sukoshi is a Canadian company with stores in Toronto and Mississauga. This is their 3rd location, opened 2023-05-20. They sell skin care, lifestyle items, beauty, plushies, Sanrio characters, face masks, snacks, junk food, K-Pop collectibles, computer keyboards, and homeware. There is free WiFi from the mall. The store is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms in the mall. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and a paid parking lot in the mall. Review 2023-207

Yelp
I found this store through a vlogger and visited when I went to Canada. This store offers wide range of drinks to snacks to food, cute items, few housewares, blind boxes, skin care products and makeup, kpop albums & lightsticks. I'm looking for a sunblock I want but unfortunately were sold out. They also have a website and app that you can order and was easy to use. The store is spacious and clean. Didn't really interacted with the staffs but it seems they were ready to help. Will be back again for blind boxes and kpop stuffs.

Yelp
While the store has many interesting items, but cannot recommend as staff add items to your total claiming it's "free gift" with purchase but charge you for it.
