Service and atmosphere can def be better! But the food cannot be beaten! Sumaq definitely lives up to the hype !! The chicken Shawarma wrap is very flavourful and also huge !!! More than enough to fill you up :)

I had to get in line to get their food, I can say this is in my top 3 shawarma spot. Their veal is fantastic, chicken was a bit dry but I always go there for veal. I took a platter which came with a bread & I loved it. Their garlic potatoes are very nice & melts right in. Their mississauga location is not the same though. Depending on what time you go, be certain that you have enough time to get in line to order your food. I have waited 20-30 minutes to get my food & I would always go back because of the taste. Something to improve on is the line up, if there were minimal wait, I would go there oftenly but you don’t always have time so they loose out on that business. Very limited spots to dine in so take out is always better

If you are looking for shawarma which tastes same like the one in Syria , I highly recommend this place. We ordered the chicken Shawarma and beef one , the bread is freshly baked and the sandwich is rich with meat and veggies . I will definitely come again to try other stuff . Luckily we found a seating area as the place is super busy , no wonder why ?😍

Gave this a second try because I didn't like it the first time and it definitely was way better the second time around. The chicken is a little more on the dry side given that it looks like they use breast but it's got the flavour. The sauces went well with both the platter and the wrap. I do prefer the wrap more. I tried both dine in and take-out and it definitely gets packed for dine in. Would still go back again if I'm in the area.

The best Iraqi meats kebab shawarma either in wrap, plate or combo platter in Scarborough that most people talked about it. I tried it and confirmed, it’s really good, generous portion given and fresh. Always crowded with people, no worry, their service is superb fast. Surprising, Iraqi liquor availabled in here, very delicious! If you’re like to eat delicious Iraqi foods, I recommend you come here and try. Everything look fresh and taste is good too.

Drove here for lunch. It is DELICIOUS!! I would go back. I ordered the lamb tikka plate. 😍 it was chunks of lamb and fat grilled on the grill. It was amazing. There was so much flavour! It came with rice (my choice) or fries/ salad/ hummus and garlic sauce (toum?)/ potatoes and fresh bread. My husband ordered the veal rice plate. Also amazing. For him, he felt like the salad was too sour. I thought it wasnt. It is absolutely packed in there. We were lucky to get a seat. That said, there are only 4 tables to seat up to 4 each. Its im guessing a mostly take-out restaurant. The size of the shawarma meat on the skewer was absolutely massive. It must be the biggest ive seen in gta. It tells me that food moves fast there! The only downside was that it was super cold when the door opens. I think if you want to eat there, its better when its warmer out. Sadly, we live too far to take out. Next time i want to try their shawarma. I saw a guy making fresh bread. It was amazing!! Oh and i got 10% off because I paid in cash! Maybe because its their 5 year anniversary?

Ok they do deserve the stars. I was in Jordan last week and ths food is better than what I've had for 2 weeks in north and south Jordan. Both rice were flavourful, good salad with the tikka plate, humus is incredible. Chicken and lamb both flavourful and soft. Price is high for dinner plate 22 bux for just 2 skewers of meat and the salad was small. Other downside was that we couldn't choose our own salad or mix them with the pickled toppings like the standard shawarma restaurant. Will be back. Place was super busy with lineups and we walk in and ordered, waited about 15 mins.

I tried the Mixed Kebab Plate and Mixed Shawarma at Sumaq, and both were absolutely wonderful! The meat was juicy, fresh, and perfectly tender—so easy to enjoy. Highly recommend this place Bonus: they have plenty of free parking, which makes the experience even better!
