They have outdoor dining for exactly 8 people, which wasn't a problem on a Thursday night. When I arrived at around 7 pm were no other people seated but two other tables filled up while we were there. I gather this is mostly a take out and delivery spot (they seem to be on every food delivery service), but I enjoyed dining here as the server was SO NICE. She seriously was just so kind of friendly and accommodating from the moment that I arrived until we left that a 25% tip still didn't feel like enough.
They have an asterisk on their menu that their spice is "authentic" and we got an "are you sure" look when we ordered spicy and I have to say - it was like zero percent spicy. Not even medium. Just not spicy. So be aware of that. Looking at their menu online there is a "very spicy" option so maybe we should have said "very".
Summer Buffalo was definitely not as authentic as what you'll get further east in Thai Thown, but it's also not as inauthentic as other places that cater to a certain demographic (think Palms Thai), and the price point is right.
- Leaf Wrapped Savory Nibbles: Spinach leaves, shrimp, peanut, chili with tamarind caramel.
- Grapow Gai with Fried Egg: Minced chicken, chili, garlic, bell pepper, Thai basil leaves, onion, fried eggplant, egg over easy.
- String Bean with Garlic Sauce
- Chicken Pad Kee Mau (Drunken Noodles): Flat rice noodle, chicken, basil, bell pepper, garlic, Thai chili, onions, eggs.
Everything was flavorful, albeit not spicy, and the ingredients felt like they were of a higher quality than your typical Thai take-out place. Portion sizes were not huge (we easily finished all 4 items between 2 people) but I wouldn't expect them to be at this price point. I went home feeling satisfied and didn't feel like I'd eaten a "heavy" meal at all (which as you know can happen sometimes with Thai food).
Definitely a fan of this place overall, especially because they have such nice people working here.
