Summer Kitchen Cafe

Had a lovely little breakfast here with the family on vacation. The food and service were both excellent, and they were very accommodating with my son’s dairy allergy. I had the French toast, my husband had the avocado toast, and my sister had an omelet, and all were great! Great location, just steps from the beach. We sat outside and the big umbrellas kept us shaded. Would definitely visit again.

Expect to pay more than you expect for mediocre food. I ordered to-go and was shocked to see gratuity included. What service did I receive for a take-out order that would deserve a 15% tip? When I asked them about it, they said this is standard. We’ll that’s a lie. The 20% included for parties of 6 or more is usually only at upscale restaurants, but it’s somewhat common. The 4% credit card surcharge is stingy, but understandable (plus they have a thoughtful explanation). The to-go included gratuity is just inconsiderate to customers. The food was ok. Burger and fries were average, shrimp in salad was too salty and ginger sesame dressing was bland. Chicken sandwich wasn’t bad. The rest of the order I didn’t get to try, but none of my friends said their food was particularly good. I appreciate the charming story about this being the first restaurant in Rosemary Beach and I do like to support local businesses. But I left feeling taken advantage of and dissatisfied with the quality of food for what I paid.

Tasty food and good service. Reasonable prices given the area. I will say... the black bean and quinoa burger had a great flavor but it was waaayyyyy to mushy to put on a bun... it all just squeezed out and i ate burger with a fork.... i understand though, I've experimented with plenty of veggie burgers... need to squeeze more water from the ingredients and maybe add some ground oats to firm it up... just being critical, like i said... excellent flavor... and i still gave you five stars! My wife loved her chicken sandwich and i brought the leftover hummus home it was so good. We might come back soon, thank you for a great lunch! **after owner response... yes, i can see where that can be a little problematic, but it can still be better when serving your customers.... just make it like you like it and make sure it leaves the kitchen that way... it was almost hummus consistency, that's not a burger... that's all. ... just had higher hopes for Menu item. I still left 5 stars... just making notes for future patrons as i rely heavily on these reviews. I absolutely recommend eating here, just so we're clear... i want to come back soon, and I'll eat the real meat burger next time.

Very unassuming, but absolutely gourmet, defined, and delicious food! I got the New York strip with the grits and a Argentinian Malbec. Paired very nicely. I was impressed with all of it. Taylor was our waitress. She was very approachable, down to earth, and immediatly made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Very pleasant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍷🍖🥓🥦

We’re always on the hunt for awesome burgers. Loved Summer Kitchen Cafe's in Rosemary Beach! One of the best burgers on 30A. Their kid’s Corndog was also delicious! Looking forward to trying more from their menu. Located at the end of Main Street across from The Pearl.

The summer Kitchen at Rosemary beach is the perfect stop just steps away from the beach and your perfect sunset. The entire staff are super friendly. Taylor is an amazing artist who provides fresh artwork on the chalk board and attentive service. Hope adds to the whole vibe with a friendly smile and charming attitude.

Good food, reasonable price, and great service. Had an awesome lunch here with my family of four and no complaints. Would definitely come back again!

Ordered this to go one day for lunch on the beach with the misses, I’m a burger freak when I go out of town, and this one was top notch. Perfect temperature and great flavor. Wife got the spicy chicken wrap and loved it. Only negative is the fruit “side” was subpar. For the price considering the area though…..you can’t go wrong here.

Great roll-ups, which are kind of like a grilled burrito ! We only tried the breakfast this visit. The Bloody Mary was deliciously spiced with caper-berries and pickled green beans. We enjoyed breakfast here many times this trip! They have cold brew with flavored syrups. Service here is great and we will be back!

Great local place in 30A to grab a brunch bite to eat. Staff was very nice and worked quickly to get a table ready for us. Service was timely and no complaints. We ordered the french toast, avocado roll up, and the whole hog roll up. Overall, the food was good for normal breakfast food. The roll ups were a good size, but were very greasy. The house potatoes serviced alongside were very dry and had to be drenched in hot sauce. For a quick brunch, it got the job done. We are big bloody mary critics. This one had good flavor but was a bit watery for my taste. The accouterments were odd and did not get eaten. Overall, can't go wrong with this place for a quick, beachy vibe, brunch stop.

Location is great, wait time on the 4th of July was about 15 mins for two at around 9:30... so not bad at all. Service was s l o w. We ate outside and when the sun came out, it was pretty brutal on the table. My daughter tried the cinnamon roll, and took 2 bites. It's 5.00 and it's huge but she didn't care for it at all. I had the spicy chicken roll up and home fries. The taters were overcooked for my taste but totally edible w ketchup. The roll up was pretty good, I'd order it again. Overall, I would give it another shot next summer!

Great service and a fantastic menu with lots of great food. The location is prime. We go here everytime we go to Rosemary Beach.

So good! Haven't been here in years! We stay further west and came to Rosemary for some shopping and grabbed a breakfast and wound up having a wonderful meal! The roll-ups were amazing! I did the spicy chicken and my husband did the sausage egg and cheddar and both were delicious. The tortillas were so crispy and filled creamy! We got a side of bacon and it was also perfectly cooked! Our pup enjoyed some too! Mimosas were fun! Summer kitchen will definitely be on our list again going forward! The staff were so sweet to us and our fur baby! They moved an umbrella for us to be shaded on the patio too. Perfect weather and seat and food! Thanks so much!

It was 13 JUN 2023 and it was a very hot day exploring the surrounding areas of 30A near Rosemary Beach, FL. It was a little after 2PM and we were getting hungry. So glad that a quick Yelp search turned us off of "highway" 30A into Rosemary Beach. As soon as we turned in, it was like we were transformed into a European beach community with cobblestone (simulated) streets. The Summer Kitchen Café was the the first restaurant we came upon that didn't have a long line of people waiting to be seated, and we were lucky to be able to find a parking place close by, as this is on-street parking only. As hot is it was, I don't think we would have eaten outside if the food was free, and we were lucky to be immediately seated in the air conditioned space, as they are only a few tables and some stools at the counter/bar. Since it was so hot, we opted for some wraps. My wife got the chicken salad roll up with a delicious side salad. Kudos for the Summer Kitchen Café for not overloading the wrap with too much mayo. I got the spicy chicken roll up (chicken, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, cheddar cheese, mayo, Sriracha, & honey balsamic in a flour tortilla); and it was very good. Our server, although busy, managed to take pretty good care of us while we cooled down and filled up. It's a nice spot to eat, chill and people watch.

This cafe has a prime spot on the end of the Main Street in Rosemary Beach. We loved the simple ambiance of breakfast outside on the sidewalk on plastic tables and chairs. But as soon as you sit down, be sure to ask for a spoon! Otherwise, you will have coffee served to you that you will be stirring with a fork only. (Oddly, they do not include spoons in their silverware packets even during a breakfast seating when almost everyone is stirring cream into their coffee cups!) plus, beware of the holes in the plastic table tops.... your fork that has stirred your coffee will now be dripping coffee drops through the table onto your pant legs. So immediately ask for extra napkins to cover the holes in your table. Luckily, the service is very friendly, and the food is delicious. The scrambled eggs were a tiny bit on the salty side, but still yummy. And the wrap with egg, cheese, and sausage with delicious as well.

Not enough great things to say about this place! Food is phenomenal and the service and staff were beyond friendly and kind. It was such a joy to come here each morning!

Visiting Rosemarys Beach strolled upon this place We had the fish tacos and cold drinks. Very tasty, and sitting outside enjoying the views Would definitely come again

The food was delicious from this establishment. We had the fish of the day Mahi Mahi seafood sandwich and the asian salad with grilled shrimp. Came out quick and was good. A small simple cafe with a bar and an easy to order from menu. The service was quick and friendly so a place to have a good meal and a drink.

I recently visited this charming cafe on Main Street in Rosemary Beach. The staff provided warm and delightful service, and I savored my favorite Illy coffee. Enjoyed a delectable wrap and delicious avocado toast. Sitting outdoors, I enjoyed the scenic surroundings and people watching. The area is simply stunning.

Our group of 4 ladies had a nice lunch here. We were sat inside tucked into a corner. The bar seats looked comfortable and they have outside seating too. We started with an order of truffle fries which were delicious and had lots of cheese! Everyone was a fan. My meal was a shrimp Caesar salad and I enjoyed it. Other ladies ordered salads or fish but we all liked our food. Service was good too. She even let us all pay separately.

Mediocre food and service at best. If you want a nice place with great service, food and drink go right down the side walk la crema!

Grabbed breakfast here before a spa appointment at the Pearl. Service was friendly and food was served up quick. Had an egg scramble. It hit the spot. Came back later for a frose. Cute spot.

Friendly service but it took 45 minutes for a grilled chicken salad which was terrible...soggy spinach & dried out chicken-$25. Great location but pretty sure there are better places to eat

From my six year old son: "It's great". The omelettes were excellent. I had the bacon, sausage and avocado omelette. My kids split pancakes and scrambled eggs.

Great place to get a bite to eat. Fantastic breakfast location right on the main strip under Rosemary beach inn. Little greasy spoon or have a nice granola and yogurt. It's good either way. Great waiters that are fun. Small location but big enough to enjoy friends and family.

I went for breakfast and the food was excellent. I had a breakfast burrito consisting of eggs bacon and cheddar with a cup of fresh drip coffee. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time.

So we put our name on the wait list and while we waited we walked around the nearby shops and grassy area, as other families were doing. When they called us we were in luck - an outside table that happened to be right next to the hostess/host stand... and they were dog lovers. So our dog was happy to be greeted so warmly; and they refilled the water bowl right away. We ordered chips and salsa and chips and guacamole right as we sat down, and thankfully they arrived quickly... that helped take away the hunger. For lunch we enjoyed some fine hamburgers, a chicken sandwich, and my wonderful wife enjoyed a Caesar salad. All plates were clean when we were done. This was a nice lunch and we'll happily return. So good! Great ambiance, food and service. Our waitress told us this cafe is locally owned to her family. She was so friendly and wished us a great spring break. Awesome to see, as college students usually are shunned in nicer areas.

Sat on the street. Love the vibe. The chicken on ciabatta bread was super good...the guacamole was not that great...not very flavorful. Truffle fries pretty good. Buffalo wrap was good. Over all we were happy with our food, even if the server was a little out of it, our drinks were emptied several times and she didn't notice.

Great service and food. Prior reviews almost deterred us from coming here but we gave it a shot anyway, and it needed to have a good review on its page. :) we got the avocado wrap and the south of the border wrap with a cinnamon roll. Left super full and with to go boxes.

This is a great restaurant to stop by! We sat outside because the interior of the restaurant is very small. The outside seating is great however. The hostess was extremely kind and helpful, however our server was extremely rude and unkind, but the service didn't detract from how great the food was! :)

Stopped here last week on vacation and could not have been more disappointed. Horrible, rude service and terrible food. Their "homemade guacamole" is obviously straight out of a Wholly Guacamole package, straight out of the grocery store. There is no reason to go here unless you're starving and there are no other options available. The ambiance isn't nice either, inside was hot and humid air. Nothing good to say about this place. Avoid at all costs.

I loved this place! It's an adorable little restaurant in beautiful Rosemary Beach and they all wore masks which was awesome. They also had lots of patio seating so we sat at a table away from people. We all ordered the breakfast burrito which was huge and excellent. I had the other half later that day as a snack. Great mimosas and bloody Mary's. our friend really enjoyed her coffee that she got as well. I will definitely go back here next time. It is charming as is the little town square it's on. You can't get any more beautiful beach cafe than this unless you are on the water. But I could smell the ocean and see it just past the square.

Nice staff and cute outdoor seating. Avocado toast was yummy, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the home fries were done well. Food took a little long but it was a busy morning.

So this place was highly rated on yelp and the menu looked good so we stepped in. We were told it was about 20 minutes for a table and we decided to wait. We were 5 adults and a 20 month old. Anyway, the bottom line is we ordered an assortment of dishes and the food uniformly was bland and just unappetizing. The spicy chicken roll up was not really spicy or satisfying. There was plenty of chicken but overall it was just dry chicken in a tortilla with a few greens. My son-in-law had the kale salad. It sounded good and looked fresh but is there a dressing that removes taste? If so, they were using it in abundance. My wife, the vegetarian, had the black bean roll up and strangely, it was by far the best thing we tried. Service was lackadaisical at best. For the 5 of us, it was 160ish plus tip. Overall, this was not a great experience.

Disappointed. This was our first stop in Rosemary for lunch. Simple order was made incorrectly, which is fine. Mistakes happen. But, the server was rubbing her nose non-stop when taking our order and when she was the one to bring our food plates out, it really turned me off. So, rather than having them remake the incorrect order, I opted to forgo my meal. Cute patio though.

Great food, drinks, and service! We got there right at 5 (young kids aboard) and got an outdoor table right away. The hostess and waitress were incredibly friendly! My husband and I split the Ahi Tuna for an appetizer and both agreed that is was delicious. I got the Shrimp and Grits for my entree and it was equally delicious. This was our first time eating here and we look forward to coming back on our next vacation!

This was the first restaurant we visited for dinner on our trip to Rosemary Beach. There was a little bit of a wait, but they allowed us to put our names on the list and roam around and said they would text us when our table was ready. It was great because we were able to pop into another spot to drink while waiting. Overall, we all liked the food here and were impressed. Waitress was very polite and friendly and made great recommendations. I went with the blackened grouper with grits and it did not disappoint! The key lime pie was also great. Would definitely return if we ever make it back to Rosemary Beach.

The kale salad was absolutely delicious!!! The lemon vinaigrette is the best salad dressing I've ever had! I also ordered the tuna dip appetizer & it was great...had lots of flavor & complimented my kale salad well! Wish I could get this in Louisiana...we will be back next time we are at the beach!

The staff was wonderful and attentive! I got a table outside and didn't have to wait, which was nice. The black bean roll up was only okay, nothing special.

This spot has the BEST customer service. I was on a weekend trip to FL for the fourth of july weekend from Dallas, TX and we had some time to kill in Rosemary Beach before we got on our flight back home. I stopped in here to use the restroom (thank you for having public restrooms available as not many places on Main do), and left a shopping bag of $200 worth of souvenir shirts that I had purchased in the restroom. It wasn't until I landed back in Dallas that I realized I did so. Fast forward 24 hours and I give them a call and their manager was SO incredibly nice about it and said they had it turned in and she is shipping it to Dallas after she gets off today. While I may not have actually eaten here (the food did look INCREDIBLE may I say), I could not recommend this place enough due to the kind faces who work there! We are already planning a trip back next summer and I will definitely be visiting for a meal. Thank you to the incredible staff here at Summer Kitchen Cafe for making my day! :)

They made us wait outside for 30 minutes in the pouring rain when there was no wait and plenty of room inside. :( Sorry, usually I'm not picky and have never left a bad review, but this was a bad experience. Edit: We waited 30 minutes for our food when we all ordered really small plates or sides that should have been made. ^^ This was my review, we were respectful to the staff, after we left our review another staff member came to our table and forcefully and very rudely told us that we should've spoken to them before writing a review... regardless being aggressive to customers will not help a bad review but only make it worse...and when she came back she threw our check on the table.

We ate lunch here the other day and had a great experience. They were able to seat us inside immediately and our server was excellent. He was friendly and attentive for the entire meal. My husband and son had the grilled chicken sandwiches, which looked delicious, and my son got fruit with his. He had some teardrop grapes that were unique and tasty. I ordered the Asian salad and added the fresh mahi-mahi on top. The fish was cooked and spiced to perfection and the house-made sesame vinaigrette was amazing. I ate every bite! Would definitely recommend dining here.

Food was so yummy! I got the southwest wrap up and an oatmilk cold brew. Highly recommend!

This place was wonderful! The cinnamon bun is incredible and can't say enough about it!!! This place was a cute breakfast place and has very reasonable prices. Loved it and definitely coming back!

Very disappointed in the food. Our meals were all tasteless. The kids pancakes were 3 inches in diameter.

Came here for breakfast...highly recommended in Rosemary beach. Really enjoyed the food. They offer custom omelets and custom egg scrambles. I got the scramble which was awesome! All the veggies are fresh and the eggs are organic. I got chicken and jalepeno in particular that added a fun punch to mine. The sides offering is so so and the fruit in particular was underwhelming...just the classic mixed melons. We also ordered the smoothies which were great and are coconut water based, so no diary. I didn't get a mixed drink but they had watermelon mimosas which looked awesome and custom Bloody Mary mix. Another day! I'd say the staff we had was so so and only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars. She didn't seem that friendly but was attentive and did a good Job besides that. Coffee was good...nothing unique though.

I love this quaint restaurant! My friend and I stopped here for my birthday to dine. It was the only place without a wait. Our waitress Taylor was super nice and made our experience great! We loved this place so much that we came back every night of our beach trip! We tried the tuna poke appetizer, the cast iron filet, shrimp and grits, crab cakes and zuppa ingles for desert! It was all mouth watering good! We felt like we were in little Italy sitting outside looking at the views.

The service is fantastic and the food is delicious!! Every time we stop in, we are never disappointed. Would recommend......without hesitation!
